The food was excellent, I had a burger and it was excellent. I read some of the other reviews and that complained about the service. The server was young and seem a little inexperience. I was there for lunch and the food was very good.

Very clean place and the staff were constantly cleaning. My mom loved her turkey sandwich. I was dismayed by them putting red peppers or thousand island dressing on everything. But they agreed to leave off the dressing on the grilled chicken wrap - it was great and did NOT need anything to hide the great flavor. Nice looking decor. They have high chairs.
Decent meal. I had the meatball grinder I felt like the meatballs were probably Frozen prior to making it to my sandwich. It tasted okay for a little more personal love and fresh products would have made it a much better meal.
Wasnt not impressed with the service, I feel the waiter did not have a good Attitude and I ask for a burger (pink in the center) and I got it well done and the fries were well over cooked
Out of towner here and we have had enough great pizza in NY this week so referred to this place. Great little place chef is the owner we had awesome chicken wings for apps and the haddock veggie plate was great. Others in our party had burgers which were hand made and showed and said they were good. Can’t beat the prices… service was good even though they are extremely short staffed (as everyone) they had a good attitude and waited on a lot of tables for the crowd they had at dinner.
One of the better places to eat in Amsterdam. Burgers are top notch, much better than 5 guys which is right next door. Great wings, sauces are homemade. Good beer selection on draft also.
Always good food here. Antipasto is really good and huge. Buffalo Bleu burger is another favorite.
Dont be fooled by the dumpy exterior: theres some great food inside. After hearing good things and reading the menu, I went with 3 others and we stood outside for 5 minutes debating whether we should risk going inside. Were glad we did. The food was great, it came out quickly (granted, the place was dead, but thats not always a guarantee of a quick kitchen), and the server was great. Worth a try!
I have become a fan. I recently broke my leg and my husband remains as always hungry. We tried 518 and havent stopped eating there since. Everything was fabulousI had the broiled haddock with spinach today. Best fish in Amsterdam thank you guys for all of your great flavors

Outstanding! The Cheesy, Roasted Potatoes and Ham Soup was Devine. Could have eaten that all night. The Garden Haddock was perfectly postulated and super tasty. The flavors mixed perfectly in every bite. My wife had the the Parmigiana and Garlic wings and the Pasta Alfredo. The wings were so go she finished them all. Then when the Alfredo came she tried to eat it all, out was perfect. But she had to get a box to bring home what she couldnt eat of the Alfredo. We both went home stuffed. No room for desserts of any kind. This was a great Saturday evening dinner. Thank you so much for a great evening out. Oh almost forgot the staff. We were greeted and seated pleasantly, with no rush. Our waiter continued this feeling in taking our order and answering our questions as we ordered. He was there when we needed things. He made the atmosphere of our meal perfect.

We were seated quickly, but after that it all went very slow. Our server knew one of her tables personally and spent most of her time there. We ordered wings as an appetizer and the sauce flavor was fantastic, but many were so over done we couldnt eat 5 of the 13 we got. Dinner was very flavorful. I dont like to have to flag my server down for refills. We will give them another try to see if it was a fluke.
The service is so spotty. Sometimes I get amazing service after habing the spam the phones because the line can never get through. They advertise theyre open till 9 pm and I spam the phones from 7:30 to now 8:15, finally get to someone only to be told theyre closed. And I quote 518 this is Elijah, how can I help you?.... Im sorry were closed. The food is AMAZING but it gets tiring jumping through hoops and getting a 50/50 shot at actually getting it. 518 will no longer be an eating out option for my family anymore.
My wife and I decided to try this place on a recommendation after moving into the area. Were ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the western burger. Both were large portions and delicious. Our server was polite and attentive. We will be going back. I hear amazing things about their wings, even though I didnt try them this time. For a quick inexpensive meal in a pleasant setting, this place is great.

Recently visited this establishment and was served under cooked food. The hamburger meat was raw and the bun was soggy. Crab cakes were extremely spicy and stuffed mostly with bread filling, rather than crab meat. This place is not worth spending your money at, since the quality is vertully non existent.
My wife and I went here on a recommendation from a friend. We dont get to eat out very often so its always a big deal to us. The menu has a good variety to choose from. My wife got the roast beef dinner and I got the roast beef sandwich. Both were fresh, well made and a good portion. We plan on going back and Ill probably try the chicken parm or the Billie Burger. Overall it was a nice dining experience.
My husband and I frequent here. Even during these trying times for food establishments, we always have great food and great service as well. Actually thinking of heading there tonight :)
Had dinner here tonight. Food is nothing special, but they have some unique items and its definitely in the realm of what Id consider comfort food. Environment was also amazing, despite being almost a full house it was very quiet so you could have a conversation with your dining party and/or your server with no issue. Was very surprised by that! Staff were super friendly, and overall a good experience.
First time eating here and it was great! My boyfriend got a burger and I got the turkey grinder! They were both delicious. Prices were reasonable, aside from the grinder not coming with a side so we had to pay an extra $4 for fries. The server was very friendly. The only thing was she didnt ask how to cook the burger and it came out well done. Other than that, we will definitely be back and recommend this grille!
When i first started coming to this restaurant with my fiance we both had an excellent time. The service was quality and the food was off the charts in comparison to what i normally would go around eating. However..The last couple times that we came to the restaurant. Our order was messed up and the staff were temperamental or incapable of filling a simple order. The quailty of the food hasnt changed much with the exception that we didnt get what we had asked for.I do not want to come back to waste my money again with how rare we tend to pop in to begin with. Im sorry for the negative review.. I dont normally even post things like this unless I can see some real quality improvements that could be made for the sake of the customers.I hope to see these improvements the next time we come in otherwise this will be the last time we come to eat here.

Our favorite place for wings. If you ask they combine the garlic Parmesan and buffalo sauces... best tasting wings anywhere. Nice staff and decent prices. Usually very busy on wing night, so be patient... it’s worth it. We had others with us comment that the rest of the menu items are good too.
As always, never disappointed. Great food and service. We will continue to dine in, take out and order catering from Bill and his staff.
Went out for a date night with my fiancee and overall we are very very happy. Friendly staff and the burgers are so juicy. I would have to say that it has the best loaded fries for a starter I have ever tasted and he agrees.
This place surprised me!The inside is quaint and charming.Everything we ordered, Wings, Quesadillas and Soup was Great!Another surprise!(I didnt expect a place of this quality, to be in a strip mall)My only regret, is that its an hour drive from my home!
Our lunch was fabulous! We had the Mediterranean Salad, and the chef even substituted other things for items I was allergic to for me without a problem, and we had wraps, they were packed full of yummy goodness cant wait to go back. Its our favorite luncheon place to go.
Went there for dinner on a Saturday night. Nice atmosphere. Quite a bit of dust and food particles on window ledges. Ordered soda, needed a carbonation change because it was flat. Ordered appetizers which were okay. Ordered burgers for dinner and the portion size was huge. Good entree. I would go back because their food tasted good and they were priced reasonably.
Some of the best wings in the area! I also tried the vodka rig one time which was pretty good except the lack of chicken compared to the insane amount of pasta. Only complaint was the girl behind the counter/over the phone sounded very rude and acted as if my order was a burden. It was on a Friday night when you guys are open til 10 PM. I placed my order around 8:15-8:20 PM and she mentioned how they were closing at 9 but would stay open so I could pickup my order when I got out of work at 9 PM. I appreciated the accommodation but didnt expect/need the attitude over the phone given your advertised closing time for that night was 10PM. When I arrived to pickup my food I seen it sitting by the counter where your cashier took her sweet time counting receipts having me wait 10 minutes just to cash out and leave. Overall decent food, great wings but customer service needs improvement.
We went last night and everything was very very good. The vodka penne pasta was absolutely excellent. The chicken wings were terrific. The salad was very good. The hamburgers were huge and the grilled cheese sandwich was wonderful. Well be going back. That was our first time there. Excellent place to go for an evening meal where you dont want to get dressed up too fancy but you want good food.
Visited early November. Nice locally owned spot. Food was good, service was a little slow for being the only people in at the time. Good beer selection and having quick draw was a plus.
The Billy Burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were hot and crispy. I had rhe full-attention of the waitstaff.
I remember when the 518 grille first opened there food was amazing I haven’t had it in a while and ordered a few times and every time I or my fiancé brought the food home they messed it up every time they either forget my sauce or over cook my burger to where I can’t even eat it and toss it away and it’s a shame because I really enjoyed eating there
I eat here frequently and my wife and I threw a birthday party for her mother in their back room. The staff here are all great and were so helpful with all our questions for the party. The food is great and their wings are amazing.. dare I say the best in Amsterdam!
Good little diner type restaurant. Nice specials. Very open to customers with allergy needs and have a separate fryer for gluten free items. They also carry gluten free bread. Their hours werent posted correctly online last year. Not sure if they fixed it yet, so definitely call ahead and make sure.
Bad service, raw uncooked burger. Waitress had an attitude. Told me to get out, so i did, and they called the cops on me LOL, i still paid, i had alot of left over food, but they threw it away. Cops said i committed a crime when i left, even though they told me to leave. so if that happens to you, wait for the police.
Amazing fries. Burgers are delicious bit tend to not be cooked thoroughly, so make sure to specify if you want it well done. Serves beer and wine as well. Eat in, take out

Food was fine, and I got what I ordered. We came with a fairly large party and the restaurant was completely empty, however it took about 30-40 minutes to receive our food. The service was good, and I got refills as I needed them. I didnt end up liking what I got, but it was what I ordered, and the problem was a personal taste issue as I was trying something new.
I was incredibly surprised by the atmosphere inside considering the off-the-beaten-path location. They offer a wide variety of tastes and dining experiences from booth and table seating to a small private banquet room. The portions are large and the bill is average.

Both times I have been here the food was great. Prices were decent. The service is where the issue lies. The first time I went here the service was fine. The second time the waitress was terrible. I doubt there will be a third time.

Eghh, just eghh. The servers/hostesses were kind of stand offish and rude. I got 2 dozen wings and a thing of fries, it cost $39.74. Very over priced. It wasnt worth it either. It was just deep fried fat. Not worth the calories and definitely not worth $40.

I have the occasional business lunch-meeting here (noonish, week days) and havent had any problems with the food. Ive gotten the quesadilla as well as other sandwiches. Whereas their coffee is generic, its what youd expect from most places like this.They offer free wifi so and its easily accessible with plenty of parking. Ive only encountered friendly staff every visit.
Food is always great, but it takes way too long to get it to the table. The wait staff was attentive so I dont think thats the problem. Nothing fancy: soup and sandwiches. Food prep is too slow!
I walked in at 8:30 and they told me they were closing, the door said they dident close till 10. The girl asked the kitchen if they were still open and they said yes so she seated us, then before she even took our drink order she shut off the lights by the bar area. She was so rude we decided we would be better off leaving!
Worst waitressing I have ever seen. 45 min to get a burger. . . Then 10 min to get a cup of ranch to go with it bc it never came with my order. 1 guy walked out bc he waited 20 min to get asked what he wanted. One lady had to walk up to get her check. Never will be coming back
Best burger place in Amsterdam. I highly recommend the 518 burger. Ill always miss the Coffee Beanery, the coffee shop this place replaced, but these guys do a good job and the staff is nice.
Nice little place. Service was quick and friendly, food was good and reasonably priced. Will definately go back.Have draught beer, nothing to write home about with the selection as well as wines.Quik draw too if youre into that.

I too ate here and opened the door to the restaurant and was immediately stung by a bee. Dont know if theres a bee problem but my wrap was delicious. And would eat here again but not recommend if your allergic to bee stings

I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap to go..the chicken was cold, there wasnt any dressing on it (blue cheese or ranch) and the fruit I ordered was old and tasted sour. I wish I could leave a better comment but that was my experience with the 518 Grille
Very cool atmosphere. They have very friendly staff and the hot or buffalo suace has a unique blend to it. If you like hot suace I definitely recommend it.
Vodka rig is amazing. Sad I didnt know about this little spot sooner. Buffalo mac salad was also a great side

They have a great menu and although its not cheap, its not too expensive. In other words, better than Wendys, McDonalds, or Burger King. I enjoy the food, and will continue to go there for lunch.

2021-08-26We went over to a favorite spot and found that it was closed so we went over to another favorite that I have been going to since they opened. 518 Grille is a place where I have actually tried most everything on the menu. This place rocks with flavor and every dish is consistent as you order them multiple times during multiple visits. I had the Billy burger and she had a wonderful chicken salad. The onion rings were not normal they were plentiful and delicious. This burger is way better than 5 Guys all day everyday! They also serve the burger with choices and I picked the Mac salad and it was very delectable. Try it! Seriously, just look at the picture! Tell them some Guy sent you.

2022-03-13Burgers are Amazing! Very big and flavorful. Gluten free options are a great find too! I love that I can get a gluten free bun and fries and my family can get regular meals. They even have a drive thru to pick up at. Very convenient!

2022-06-02Great little place to grab a bite. Kid friendly, priced fair, great service and food. My husband and I both had burgers that were good and my daughter got the kids quesadilla with fries which she said was good. The fries were really good as well.

2018-09-03First time there because of a friends recommendation. Wings were excellent,vodka rigatoni and the Strongman burger were all awesome!! Cant wait to go back.

2021-12-21We love the food here. The service is good. It’s clean and the staff is friendly. We had friends come in from out of town last minute and they accommodated us even when they were closing in 45 minutes. I do wish they would update closing times. But we have understood nights they’ve closed early due to no customer traffic.

2022-02-01We like to stop at a local restaurant on our way home from the ADKs. The homeade Bleu Cheese was phenomenal! We got them on their burger. The homeade potato salad was also top notch. We were extrenely satisfied with our experience. 👍

2022-05-05So sick of this place closing early! The sign says 9pm. We went there at 8pm and the waitstaff sorry were closing. The owners need to increase their pay wage so they can get more help. Shame on you.We will not be going back.
