Quality groceries at no-frills price.
When I shop here they always have wonderful deals. I love how friendly and helpful they are. However I am disabled and it would be so much easier for me if they would get a couple of ride on carts.
Pleasantly surprised!! Other Aldi locations I have been to are definitely not this nice. The aisles are nice and big and the selection is great. Everything is organized. Perfect for shopping on a budget. I was even super happy when I saw they had some organization and home decor items!

Aldis is great for when you have to shop on a budget they have incredibly low prices and the quality of the products is great although some things you may be better off going for a more expensive product due to quality of certain items
I dont know why we shop here the customer service unfriendly you paying about the same price you pay at tops or Walmart both of us shopping carts and bags only thing that separate all these from its competitors it doesnt give a care about the customer value it may start up that way but your employees actions speak for you in your absence somethings going to change cuz your image is bad and thats my review of shopping that all these I wont say any real name because they get no respect
I love Aldi for their simplicity and outstanding prices. I also love that they have some brand name closeout items weekly.
This Aldi is always a mess..Product is always in the isles and cluttered everywhere.. Just feels dirty !Other than the manager at this location the staff is rude and not helpful at all.I stopped shopping here and drive to their Horseheads location. The Horseheads location is the total opposite of the Elmira store...
Large variety of grocery items available. Many are of non-American brand names due to store foundation. There are some widely recognized name brands available as well. Prices are very competitive and if you consistently shop there you will learn the layout of the store and items they offer. If it is something you havent seen before or are unsure about anything, a staff person is usually available and helpful in answering your questions. Bring your own bag, pick up an empty box from the shelves or purchase paper, plastic or reusable bags at the checkout. There are carts, but you need a quarter to unlock to start shopping. You get it back when you return the empty cart and relock it in the corral. Keeps the lot empty of loose carts. Kind of a bare bones operation, but you will enjoy the overall savings!!!
I used to do ALL my shopping at Aldi. I love that theyre getting more organics and working on changing packaging for the environment, however....their food quality is starting to suffer. The food has slowly changed over time to less than tasty. I still shop at Aldi for certain things, but I do the majority of my shopping online and at other stores now. That is why the 3 stars.

Low prices and good service. Be sure to check fresh fruit and vegetables and let them know if there is a problem like mold or actually saw a fly in a package of food, sealed. They made sure to dispose of it and thanked me with a smile.
Employees are always friendly and helpful. Prices are fantastic! I LOVE the German grocery model. We are able to do 98% of our food and household shopping at Aldi. We love everything they offer from baby & toddler products to meats, pastas, g-free items, specialty, and especially their tex-mex options.
Place is clean not a bad neighborhood, parking is plentiful.Never excessively crowded, checkout pretty fast.
Good prices on the food and cheese cake is awesome and produce is good quality and always have a quarter for the cart but you get it back or you can just be nice and pay it forward and let the next person who is going in use the grocery cart
Ive always found the people at Aldis who work there to be polite and courteous glad to show me how I need advice or anything I buy works or where its from no matter what better what walk of economic life you may come from always courteous and friendly Ive always found them to be that way if I have the receipt and all contents of the Box Ive never had a problem even getting a refund or replacement
Aldis gets this rating as its a mixed blessing of small parking lot,old carts, limited number of handicap carts,unhelpful staff and fair to moderately high prices. Check the ads weekly before going and compare to other stores ads.
Its ok....kind of dirty looking, depending on what location you go to. The Elmira location is good central and recommend going to the one by Wal-Mart or the one in the Valley by Kmart. Prices are pretty good and I would like to see them makes empty boxes available to customers as they walk in.
Easy to navigate and super wide isles. Always neat and clean. Staff helpful when asked, they take you right to the product your looking for.

Not bad prices, the only problem is consistency. They will carry something you like for about a month or less then all of a sudden when its gone its gone then youre stuck with whatever is replacing it or track down where its being carried at. As far as pricing goes its really one of the best around...for now. Corporate greed will catch up though, it always does. Just look at Save-A- Lot. They used to be good but now youre better off going to tops. I see the same thing with Aldi because somethings are already that way. For instance, you can get an ounce or 2 less of something for a dollar or two cheaper but if you go to tops or Wal-Mart,..especially Wal-Mart you can get the full size at a $1or $2 difference.
I love shopping at ALDI there prices arent outrageous you can get more for your money. The only problem are the lines they get so long and they usually just have 2 people on the registers.

Good prices. But short expiration dates on the foods. I have on more than one occasion saw mold on the berries in the store! Yuck! Need more variety of foods.
Low prices = low quality. Clean store but mostly all imported european foods. A single package of ground beef has meat from several countries. This makes it a higher risk for food-borne pathogens. The meats also are injected with water and nitrates which is a weight cheat and a health concern. Personally, I dont care for them.

Aldis for the most part jas nothing but quality items.1st example is their Strawberry preserves.Not jelly actual Strawberry preserves. Huge chunks of strawberries. It makes smuckers taste like dog poop.

2022-06-125 stars for Aldi, and will continue to shop there from time to time, BUT the reason for the one star....I bought a pork roast Friday, and prepped it on the same day to roast the next. It did Not have a fresh smell to it, but thought after seasoning, roasting etc it should be alright. Wont make that mistake again. Thinking that the turnover sale for pork roasts are not fast enough or the temperature is not cold enough because the package stated use or freeze by 06/19, and I bought it on 06/10. Will not buy a pork roast there ever again, at least not at that location.

2022-01-30My favorite grocery store. They mostly carry non big box store brand foods, however I find they taste the same, some items are even better.Price comparison they THEY BEAT OUT the competition.Honestly though with the current economy even their prices have went up, however I love their wide selection, Gluten Free items offered too.Aisle of Shame (AOS) IS A MUST TO CHECK OUT!!!

2022-02-07There is manager here that is very rude. Follows individuals around telling them to not the displays in the aisles with the mobilized carts. This used to be a P&C. The aisles need upgrading. The store is tight. Your staff is friendly but not the bakery personal (where are they). The deli is okay but not very friendly. Your prices are steep.

2021-06-01Really good place to stop for veggies and dairy items on the way to our camper. Love the prices and the selection is good. I have been disappointed in the baked goods and breads but lunch meats and cheeses are also a terrific buy.

And they NEVER seem to have enough registers open, but the location is convenient and its the best buy in town for you main staple items such as salad, pizza,milk,eggs,bread, condiments, bustello coffee only though... Ive had all the other disgusting! They dont even carry Maxwell house.

2020-10-16I have been to this store many times, sometimes selection is bit low but I know things change alot. I have never had a rude employee or even ignored if I had question. Place is always pretty clean & easily able to move around & find things. My only complaint is during this covid they really need to watch customers more, I find several with no masks or pulled down so low they are useless. Store is to small place to not enforce this bit better.
