Although I am in the 31 day waiting period, I am impressed and pleased with American First Auto Protect . It was an easy and simple sign up, and unlike other warranty offerings, American First Auto Protect clearly displays all warranty and pricing options on their website. l can take my car to whomever I want to do the repairs, and maybe best of all, there was actually someone to call with questions!!! So far so good!!!
I purchased an amaerocan first platinum plan in early September of this year. I chose this company because for all veterans they give a $0.00 deductible and also provide a $250.00 discount. I recently just used the coverage and the experience was exactly how the rep explained to me. They replaced my fuel pump and approved the claim in 3 hours. What a relief it is not having to pay a deductible during these times. Appreciate y’all
These guys were great to work with when I first bought my extended warranty for my Maserati. The sales team was super helpful in helping me pick the right coverage, and then to sweeten the deal, added some additional coverage for free.... This is when the experience turned sour. I have a contract showing that the Wheel and Tire protection was added to my policy and covered in my one time initial cost. Then 6 months down the road, they decided to take over $1,000 out of my bank account without any notice or explanation. I called and was told by the billing department that they dont offer that coverage for free, even though I had a signed contract with them that showed it being included. They then tried to re-upsale me on the added service.... I was irate and demanded the money to be returned to my account. They said they could do that, but that I would lose the coverage. I continued with the return which was supposed to be done in 3-5 days.... It has now been over 2 weeks and I still have not gotten my refund.I have called 3 times regarding the issue, and keep getting the same, it just processed response. Im sure my attorney would love to review my contract and the One-time authorization I gave them to withdraw from my account, which they did more than once, and without my permission..... Be careful... very shady behavior.
Chase in sales was amazing. I just purchased a plan from him and he went over every detail of the plan. He gave me a triple a discount and a veterans discount. But besides the discounts he gave me time to think about what I wanted to do not like the sales guys at the other companies that pushed me to no end. Chase was just perfect he was classy , not pushy, and very informative on the product he sold me. Looking forward to working with him if I ever have to use the plan but hopefully I’ll never have to use it
As promised, here is my detailed review on my experience with American First Auto Protect . Buying process is simple and straightforward. I highly suggest you read the contract because when I submitted my first claim, my mechanic had billed the labour rate higher than the standard industry cost. I didn’t know. Steve reached out to me via email to clarify that they will only be covering $90 per hour for the labour as that is according to Autopair. This is stated in the contract which is why I recommend to request a sample contract and to look over it before purchasing. Other than that, they paid out. It was a lengthy process though (almost 2 weeks).
Great customer service!I called and spoke with Steve to cancel my policy because I realized that I still have many yearsremaining from the original manufacturer warranty.Steve was very helpful and professional.The process went very smoothly.I will definitely be back with this company.Highly recommended!
Got my warranty about 10 months ago, I believe Shawn was the gentleman who helped me out at the time. Just submitted a claim about a week ago for the replacement of my sunroof motor. Received a payment of $1,263.79 for the motor and labour. Claim took a little longer than expected but due to covid it’s quite understandable. Recommending this to all my family and friends.
Honest, transparent, and professional. These are 3 qualities I look for in a company when I’m purchasing anything. These guys are the real deal a true pleasure to work with. I work at an Ase repair center. These guys approved claims right away and pay right away. It is extremely hard to find an extended warranty for high end cars like American first. I been a mechanic for over 10 years. This is one of the only companies that cover 100 percent of parts and labor.
I just want to express my frustration with the billing office. I had paid of this extended car warranty in October of 2021, but all of the sudden they started to charge my credit care in April and in May without my authorization. I contacted them numerous times to refund me but I got no response back. I had to call my credit card company and report this charges. I did not have to go through all this unnecessary burden and did not have to pay interest on a wrongful charges submitted by American First Auto Protect.
Purchased my plan last year. Leaving this review solely based on the claims process. My Audi had a calliper issue this month. I called auto pair to figure out the claims process and they told me to take it to any licensed mechanic in my area for a diagnosis. I sent in the diagnosis and my claim was approved (parts & labour) 24 hrs later. Great claims experience, highly recommend auto pair!!
Just have first claim with American First Auto Protect. My water pump leaked and my mechanic found replacement but for very higher price. Shawn found me same part for cheaper and sent to my mechanic. Shawn paid for labor and taxes too. Very good company. I will purchase another plan for my wife.
Sean in claims was a pleasure. He went above and beyond for me. Was planning on going on a road trip with my husband to New Hampshire. Our car broke down two days before the trip. We called American first they towed our vehicle directly to our Range Rover dealer. I explained to Sean that we need the vehicle out of the the shop with in two days because we had a camping trip scheduled. Sean stayed with his word and had my axles and suspension paid for the same day. Needless to say this warranty definitely paid off I paid 3600 dollars for the policy and the repairs was over 5,000 dollars. It’s hard in this day in age to find a reputable company but American first and especially Sean have showed me that there are still honest people in this world. Thank you guys so much. Cheers!
Solid experience so far. Had to replace my ac compressor and it was approved right away.bob in claims I considered a personal friend. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and does the best for the customer interest. My platinum plan paid off spent 3,100.00 on the vsc and the claim was $4,221.00. I appreciate you guys and bob in claims is considered a friend he is compassionate and understands the situation in my shoes.. thank you guys I had problems with extended warranties in the past this is thus the best experience I had. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE THIEVES. Collin and Chase lied to me multiple times, and that is probably not their real names. I paid 2k for a 2 year 40,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty platinum package. I took my car in for an alignment and the mechanic said i need tie rods. I look at tie rods on my warranty and i see they are covered by the warranty. I take out a claim with America First auto protect. Thats when the lies started. They start by saying we will call you back today once we get the quote from the mechanic, never happened, as i was sitting with the mechanic when he was on the phone with the lier. I do a follow-up for 3 weeks politely. Every time i call, Im getting put on hold, hung up on, told by them that they are just an answering service. Then they will say your car has a preexisting condition. How do you know? Why would you take my money if that is the case. Which it wasnt. Give me my money back.They tell all of what is covered on your vehicle and then as soon as your car needs the work done on a covered part they say they will not cover it. I am surprised they are not in prison. This company is a total scam. My first time ever buying an extended car warranty.
Had a problem with my heating and air conditioning. I contacted American first they told me to take my car to the dealer or my mechanic. I took my vehicle in and they approved the repairs. During the time my vehicle was in the shop they provided me a rental car as well.this was definitely worth the purchase. I recommend this.
I dont know how their reviews can be so high. My experience with them has been a nightmare. I purchased a premium coupe and I then purchased a warranty through American First. Several months later, I felt that the coupe was just too small for my needs. I traded it for a larger vehicle. I informed American first right away that I needed a refund. They asked me for proof of sale, which I promptly provided. I was told that I would receive a full refund in 24-48 hrs. I never received the refund. It has now been over a month. The only people that answer the phone are sales- and they say I need to call Billing. I have called Billing over 40 times. It ALWAYS goes to voicemail, which is FULL. I am so disappointed in this company. I will be making a formal complaint to the BBB. They owe me over $3,000.Update (5/9/22) I was able to get in touch with Billy from the Billing dept. He was professional. He confirmed that I was supposed to receive my refund over a month ago. He assured me that he will make sure that I receive the check within 10 days and he sent me this confirmation in writing via email. For now, I have updated the review from 1 star to 2 stars. Once I receive the check, I will update again. Thanks Billy.Update (5/31/22) Dropped back down to one star. I still havent received my refund check. Nobody will answer my emails (I send them to both Billy and the Support email address). Last week Monday I got through to someone in Billing that said I need to talk to Billy and that he would call me back within 48hrs. He never called me. On Friday I got through to someone who said that Billy would call me on Tuesday. No call yet today. I tried calling today and spoke to someone in claims who put me on hold and then disconnected from the call. At this point I believe their actions are fraudulent and I will try to see if my credit card company can assist.
Just purchased my 2017 BMW 5 series 😆. Thankfully I researched about potential warranty plans for my vehicle and stumbled upon Auto Pair. The dealer was insisting I purchase global warranty for 4 years at $3,000. I declined and purchased the Works Plus plan ALL ONLINE for $2,399. Buying process was so simple and I received a $200 holiday discount which is lovely. Hopefully I dont have any claims but if I do, I am confident in the American First Auto Protect warranty plan.
Submitted a claim. Took a little time for them to approve but this is standard with all warranty companies. Claim was approved within 4-5 business days. Just purchased a plan for my sons Cadillac because of how they handled my claim. Appreciate the transparency and support autopair, thanks!
This is the most unprofessional and disorganized company I have ever dealt with. I run a High end service Dept. and they approved a claim and now refuse to pay us saying we have to get payment from the customer because they cannot find the approval. During the process of trying to get information and payment we were given multiple fake numbers and fake names. We have phone recordings of them giving us authorization from zach. We are filing with our legal dept. currently to litigate against this company. When I told Billy that we were going to file against him his response was if you file a claim, we will file a thousand back at you its embarrassing that this is how somebody in charge handles situations. As a service provider and professional I would strongly advise against getting involved with these people. This is a small time scam that does not care about their clients. I have seen multiple reviews with similar situations and I hope that that people read this to help them in the future.Edit: Billy for this company called our secretary and stated if I don’t remove this review “ I will suffer the consequences” we have that on a recorded line and will be sending to legal as well
This company is a scam. Stay far away. They have a clause in the service agreement, which states that based on their judgment of failed component being a pre-existing problem, that they will not cover, very subjective giving them control of what they will pay, even if the failed component is obviously covered in the agreement. This means most of your claims can be denied when plan was purchased for a used car. Very random on getting a person on phone,if no one answers, the VM is always full. They will tell you what you want to hear, but then not do it.You will stay on hold for 30min or longer then call is dropped.However the sales process is fast and smooth and professional, but when its time for them to provide the service, they are the opposite. No portal to submit, review and see status of claims. That should tell you something as well. I bet they are paying for positive reviews, I cant see how they get any positives.
I took advantage of 3 month payment plan American First Auto Protect offers. My dealer was including his warranty in my car payments but I calculated his warranty would’ve costed me almost triple than Autopair’s and for less coverage. No brainer, if you can figure out to pay in 3 months. Absolutely worth it. Hopefully all goes smooth when its time for a claim!
Made my first call to have my vehicle worked on for the first time, and the lady who took care of my call was very courteous and helpful. She gave me the information I needed and was very pleasant doing so. So far so good, lets hope the rest of the experience is as positive as this one
This is hands down the best value in third party auto extended warranty, I got 3 quotes from my dealer which were thousands more. I as skeptical so I went line by line comparing coverage and do my surspise it was the same. What sealed it for me was that its underwritten to be fair I havent had a claim but honestly I dont expect any issues.
I purchased this Insurance through this company and haven’t had to use it yet. When I did call and the dealership called it didn’t cover what I need it, however my biggest concern is I paid the full policy when I opened the insurance in 2021. April 2022 I saw a $500 charge on my credit card that I never authorized to be saved on file, and have called four times within the month of April about this charge. I’ve been told the charge would be reversed every time and the last time I was told the same thing and that it was never done and should show up in three days as a credit. I was told every time that it should show up in 3 to 5 business days as a credit and now the end of the month of April and it’s still showing up that this company took $500 auto draft off my card. I will now call my bank and file a fraudulent claim against them . One for saving my card information and taking an Unauthorized payment. Very disappointing.
Update 10/2021: There is a review on the Consumer Affairs website trashing this company. It is an obvious hoax and Im not sure why Consumer Affairs has let it stand as therere so many obvious lies. My review is an honest one and accurately describes my experience. How dare someone suggest otherwise. The kind of attack in that one star review is consistent with my experience with another warranty broker I mention in my review and I wouldnt be surprised if it came from there or at least the person there I dealt with and complained to the company about who I believe may have been subsequently fired.Original review: Honest, friendly and very professional as opposed to Carchex. Happy with warranty and added components. Only warranty company I found whose cumulative repair cost equals the original MSRP of the vehicle. All others limits were much, much, much lower.
I just want to thank Zach and Teddy for horrible service. Still waiting(2+ months) for the company to release money to dealership but it seems like they are just evading my calls and texts. Dont do business with this company because their claim process is horrible, sales are shady and will give you a headache. Submitted a refund and have yet to hear an answer from them. Cant wait to talk to an attorney general about the poor business management and slandering you did over the phone. How are you even in business? Are all of these positive reviews fake? Thanks for wasting my time.
Been waiting on my refund check from my auto warranty that I canceled 3 months after purchasing it, due to selling my car. Received a confirmation email at the time from “Billy G” stating he received the documents requested but over 45 days later and still no check. Attempted to call several times over the course of a week, but nobody answers the phone and the voicemail is full, so you can’t even leave a message. They also won’t respond to my emails. I’m beginning to think the company shut down and they made out with everyone’s money. Anyone who’s been scammed by them should file a complaint with the New York Attorney Generals Office.
Complete SCAM!! Was told by Zack that if I wasn’t satisfied with my warranty I would get money back if in 30 days. Had an issue with the vehicle within warranty and reached out. Was told that the warranty “had not kicked in yet”?? But then that they “would help cover part of the cost”. Zack said a check was mailed out and would reach me in no more than 10 business days. FIFTEEN BUSINESS DAYS LATER and nothing so I call back only to have Zack do nothing but give random lies about when it was mailed out and where it was. Never received any follow up and was constantly hung up on when tried reaching them myself. Do NOT do business here.
My transmission failed very recently. I took it to the new car dealership and they said I meed a new transmission replacement and for so much money. My plan with Autopair was maxed at $6000 per claim leaving me out of pocket for difference. American First Auto Protect suggested I take my vehicle to a another transmission specialist. They found the problem to be the valve body. This garage swapped the valve body and my transmission is back to normal. Thank you Autopair.
This is 100% a scam organisation. Im convinced any of the positive reviews must be fraud or bots.I paid 2000$ for a Platinum warranty last year. All quick and easy until I actually had to use the warranty.Making a claim is a lengthy case of having to call and then organise for the dealership or mechanic to call them and send documents.They will not answer the phone to the mechanic/dealership. My car has been in the garage for a week we have had no reply whatsover.“ Billy “ from claims is nothing more than a made up email address. Once they realise you have a claim they dont answer when you call, I know this because when I call on other numbers they do pick up.Its a smoke and mirrors scam and I will be speaking to my lawyers this week. 100% avoid at all cost.
These people will straight out lie to you. Salesman Colin sold me a policy, I cancelled it after I saw the contract contained so many spelling and grammatical errors that there is no way someone who spoke English wrote it. I couldnt believe a company would actually give this to a potential customer to review. Colin said the full refund would be processed within 3-5 business days, it has now been 7 business days and no refund still. I have been on hold with accounting for over 25 minutes now.UPDATEIn response to the owner, the refund has not been processed, and is not pending in my account. I have been told this multiple times despite nothing being done and the receipt saying it would be processed last week.
I purchased the Platinum Warranty from America First Auto Protect 8 months ago.3 weeks ago the Airconditioning unit in my vehicle stopped working.I took the car to an authorized dealer for repair and asked them to get in touch with American First Auto Protect. Despite the repair shops best efforts they were unable to get an authorization from American First. I then tried to contact them and after calling dozens of times over 3 weeks was unable to get any response. I believe that American First Auto Protect has blocked our numbers and obviously has no intention of honoring their contractual obligation. I recently purchased an agreement. After waiting one week for the sale rep-who is no longer employed and phone disconnected- was to make some changes/additions. This did not happen and no one has responded to a great deal of phone calls, and emails; plus the company auto system to so messed up, I (and no doubt others) are unable to leave a message, or contact anyone in any department. I cancelled the agreement within 12 days, and demanded an acknowledgement of same. No person, or email has been sent by them. My next step is to deny the credit card charge, and fight it out. I am not going to lose any money over this!! I am concerned it all seems to be like a major scam, and considering turning information over to appropriate government entity
This is a company that SCAM ordinary person. I got referred by consumer affairs and spoke to a person named Colin Green. I bought a plan in December 21 that is not accepted by the Land Rover shop that I used. I called back the next day to cancel and asked for my money $3,000 back. Up till this moment, my money has not been refunded and Im looking at all options to get my money back.
I would have given 0 stars if I could. This is a scam. When you call to get them to honor the claim they put you on hold and then hang up on you. And then they will not answer the phone again, knowing your number. Karma is real cant wait till they get whats coming to them.
My dad just signed up for the plan and we went to the dealership to get our car fixed and the dealership couldnt even get through to file a claim. Then myself and my dad called several times and just got a machine. So my dad has called all his credit card company to report the company as a scam and to block them from charging his card. I am calling the BBB in the morning to file a claim of scam against this company. They are a fraud. DO NOT GET COVERAGE WITH THEM.. I should of told my dad not to do business with them when he sent me a copy of the policy and his name was spelled wrong and other grammatical errors. Very unprofessional. I will be filing a complaint with the New York state Attorney.
The warranty was never used ..and was canceled after the vehicle was traded in... i was told by colin green that i would get my money back with no problem...since for the last month i have been avoided and side tracked by colin green... he claimed that the check was mailed out and never arrived... now ive been calling him several times a day and im sent to an automated voicemail system that does not allow you to leave any messages. this company is a scam and they will be hearing from my attorney. just got off the phone with the help of a friend only to catch Barry Turner and Colin Green on a recorded line telling me im gonna get my refund and to wit hang up the phone only to call back to harrass me and my friend and now refusing to pay me my refund...this company is unprofessional and total crooks...its a telemarketing scam to say the least...but we will investigate further.
What an absolute joke of a company. From the first call with a claim I already knew I should’ve done more research. They have the worst customer service associates ever. I don’t think this is a real company. There doesn’t seem to be any leadership structure. Just some kids in a basement answering phones. I bought the platinum warranty plan. I called and bought the plan before I even bought the car because I was buying an older car and I wanted to make sure I was covered. There is a 30 day return policy but you also can’t use the warranty for 30 days so you have no idea of the service. I called to report some electrical issues and I was denied because it was labeled pre-existing. It’s an older car. The reason I bought the warranty is in case of pre-existing conditions. That’s a key phrase they use for anything. “Pre-existing” . Buyer beware. Do your research and find another warranty company. This place is poorly managed with untrained associates.
I am unable to contact anyone in their office to file a claim. Unable to leave a message due to the mailbox being full and no one replies to emails. I have already filed a report along with many others on the BBB website. Do not trust this company! Clearly a fraudulent business that takes payment and then does not honor service contract purchased.
I bought the comprehensive bumper to bumper warranty on 5/23/22 and my car went to shop on 6/27/22 after driving more than 1000 miles and more than 30 days got estimate of repair of about $4000 from dealer they said we rejected the claims because in the fine print it is written . This company total Fraud please do not trust them bumper to bumper warranty is all deceiving, they will steal your money and will not do any single work, problem was simple oil leak
Casey In claims was very professional yesterday helping me out with filing my claim. She took down my claim and called my dealer right away to approve the work. I just picked up my car today and it is working good as new. Casey was extremely patient when I was asking her questions and did her job in a timely manner. Pleasure being a part of you guys
It is hard to find a good extended warranty these days. But American first is the very few out of the bunch that stands by there contract. I had plenty of warranties in the past and every time I tried to use them there was always some excuse of why the parts weren’t covered. With American first that is never the case there kind, they answer the phone and all my questions, and they get the job done in a timely manner. I want to thank Rita for her worth with me. Rita is my personal claims advisor for the last 3 years and she is truly an amazing person. I had my car in the shop for my seals and she approved the claim . I also had to replace my spark plugs which aren’t covered but Rita did me a favor and gave me assistance on it. People read the bad reviews only. They came true for my experience . I brought the warranty then after digging more and reading the REAL bad reviews decided to cancel 1 week later. I paid with two different credit cards and everything that other reviews have said came true about them not answering the phone giving me the run around not providing refunds in a timely manner. They did refund one card after numerous calls and complaints. But never refunded the second card. I even gave them wiring instructions!!! Long story short it took about 4 months to get my refund and I had to file a complaint with my credit card company to get it. Once I did that I had my refund in 3 days. Wish I had done that first. They will respond they tried to refund or some other lie, but people I highly recommend you go somewhere else. Please save yourself the headache. Happy New Year.
I had several warranties in the past this by far Is the best. When my vehicle was getting its repairs done. They made sure to only use original parts. Most warranty companies don’t use original parts. Great company will be signing up my ram once I gather up the money for it.
I’m very happy with American first . I made the right choice going with the platinum plan. I just used the plan for the first time on my air suspension and it was replaced right away. Was a little curious on how this would work but the service was simple and easy . Highly recommend
Bobby was extraordinary to work with. He was great to my wife and answered all of our questions while my vehicle was in the shop. Bobby made sure my claim was paid same day and my air conditioning in my car started working again. More companies need guys like Bobby he’s a true gentleman
Was happy to work with American First Auto during my recent claim. It took a week to fix My Infiniti. They paid the claim and I wasn’t hassled. I got my car back yesterday and everything is running smoothly again. Pretty easy experience. Their service department has been helpful.
This company is harder to contact than the DMV. Seems like no department is actually working, business is shot.Response: Please focus on talking to current and future customers and no so much on reviews. P.S the way you respond to reviews is questionable and unprofessional. “Evil Competitor” is corny. Seems like you cant take the heat from an actual customer and so you pull every excuse out the book. Completely poor business. Takes advantage of military and veterans. My husband tried to work with them on my extended warranty for a vehicle purchase and they flipped out when we asked them some basic verification questions regarding their business and insurance. Plus, be sure the search for other reviews - a lot of bad ones out there, despite them being adamant about less than 100 reviews on consumer affairs - big deal. These guys are not legit.
I highly recommend this company based on my recent claim experience. The A/C didnt work in my Cadillac. I called American First and took it to the repair shop. Gave them my extended Warranty papers. They fixed it without any out-of-pocket cost for me. Also used the rental coverage for three days. I was delighted with this warranty package.
Overall a good experience, the plan for my Porsche was on the pricey side but well worth the coverage. Had to replace my condenser a couple of months into the policy. Claims process was simple and my personal representative Chase paid the my Porsche dealership same day. I wish they had a maintenance plan but besides that the platinum plan is really comprehensive.
I dont understand them. I thought they were a great company till I was told it would be faster by Zach, to pay out of pocket, and they will reinburse me 375.00. Its been more than 6 months now, and Im still trying to get reinburse. No checks have been mailed out, even though they told me they sent it, and when we tried wiring, nothing was ever sent after more than a month. Now I cant even get a hold of them or get them to call me back. I really hope they fix this. I can no longer recommend them. Not with this costumer service. Theydefinitly listen and look out for their members. Only wish that diagnostic was covered and tax, but other that,, the protection is there. Regommended.
Our claim specialist Bobby was a pleasure to work with. Brought my vehicle into service on Monday the claim was approved that day. The Mercedes dealer did not have the part in stock so American first had the oem part over night to the dealer. When looking for warranty most companies take there times and give you the run around when a claim is processed . The American first team and especially Bobby worked extremely fast, diligent, and always kept in contact with me. Amazing work guys. Thank you.

I’ve had an up and down experience looking for a great warranty company. I spoke with 11 different companies before American First. They were the most professional they let me take my time with the decision and was the only company that offered me a veterans discount. Our sales rep Jen acknowledged what we were looking for and explained everything about the plan in detail. Saved me $1000 now. I bet you can’t save that much switching to Geico. Jen you’re the best!! Overall a great buying experience!
American first auto protection has been by my side from every step of the way. I originally signed up with this company in may of 2018. Our sales rep Jamie was a pleasure to deal with and gave us a great rate. On Monday of this week I brought my Audi in the shop because I heard rattling noises my transmission had to be replaced. I called the claims department and they paid our Audi directly besides my 100 dollar deductible. My car was ready in less than 2 days. I am so please with this company and happy that they didn’t give me the run a round like the other companies I have been with. Would recommend!!
These people are scammers they took my money and they think they will get away with it but no I’ll do whatever it takes to get my money back and have them caught to stop what they doing for anyone read this review never ever give your money to these scammers they are not real company they don’t provide any service .some of the names I remember billy , Masson,coby
I have their warranty for the last two years for my 2011 Mercedes C300. The rear differential broke and I took the car to our neighborhood mechanic. It was fixed within days and American First Auto paid the claim after a couple of phone calls with the shop. I feel safe and protected with their Warranty plan.
Customer service is key to me. A few years back when speaking with American First I wanted to assure myself that if something were to ever go wrong I wouldn’t have to go through a cycle of people to get my car fixed. Fast forward to July 16, 2021 I was driving down to visit the grandkids for the weekend and while driving an engine light popped up, I immediately took it the my local Mercedes dealership who contacted American First. Within minutes the vehicle was diagnosed and fixed over the weekend, ready to get back on the road Monday. Thank you for your superb customer service!
American First Auto Protect covered my first claim this week. There was a slight delay processing my claim due to a previous service record request. However, they approved the claim on Monday once they received the requested paperwork. Overall very satisfied with them.
This company is a scam! I paid for the platinum services and when I needed to get repairs for my vehicle they gave me the run around and refused to pay for any parts even though they were clearly listed under the warranty agreement. Now they wont answer calls or reply to emails. I have taken legal action

What an up and down experience ive had with extended warranties. American first auto knows how to do the job right. Frank Espinoza in claims is well experienced and was on top of my claim from the moment i brought my lexus is250 into the shop. To make a long story short my front suspension needed to be replaced and Frank and zach were on top of it. The claim was approved fairly quick and all i had to pay out of pocket was my 150 dollar deductible. It is nice to know there is a good extended warranty out there. May god bless these people.
Solid experience so far. will update if anything changes Purchase a platinum plan for my Maseati Ghibili a about 6 months ago. My Blower motor in my ac went out. American First paid the claim including the labor. Claim was approved same day so I was satisfied. I wish they had a plan that covers maintenance since my maintenance on my maserati is a arm and a leg. But overall a great experience. Always ask for Joshua Evans he is the man he followed up with me and made sure eveything was taking care of.

Over the years what an up and down experience I had with extended warranties. From Robo calls to non paid claims until I found American First. What a pleasure Teddy and the whole staff been. My Honda Civic was making rattling noises on the highway so I drove it directly to Honda and they contacted American First Auto Protection because the control arm needed to be replaced. American First paid for it that day and gave me a loaner car. My vehicle was ready in 48 hours and all I had to pay was my 75.00 deductible. Thank you guys for handling this in a timely manner.
Had a warranty for a few months and then my car starting having some troubles.I called and spoke to Jacqueline and she was able to connect me with a dealer near my house. In a few days my car was fixed and I only had to pay a small deductible. Definitely saved me money.
My battery and transmission were really not functioning. The car was sputtering when I tried to start it and when I Jumpstarted it, the gears were locked. I contacted Jack and he directed me to exactly what I needed to do. The company payed all the expenses involved in repair.
We purchased this warranty early in 2021 as our extended warranty was expiring after doing a lot of research. We took our vehicle in for service and the tech diagnosed the issue as being a failure in the AC system. The dealership contacted the Warranty company and put me in a rental and I was on my way. They said that within 48 hours the issue would be inspected and resolved. Fast forward to almost 2 weeks later I am still in a rental that I am paying for out of my pocket and the inspection was just done. They call me back and say the AC failure was a pre-existing condition and they will NOT cover the cost to repair. They stated that the dealership ALSO said this. I called the dealership and they said no such thing and even provided the diagnosis in writing that it was NOT pre-existing. Make a long story short, this company took over $2000 fixed NOTHING doesnt answer calls....send people to VM when they call including the dealership. STAY FAR AWAY! We followed their rules and guidelines and still get shafted. I will be speaking with the NY AG, FL AG, BBB and seeking legal recourse for this event. NOTE THEY MENTION NOTHING about 48 hour timing of inspection in contract or details. These reviews HAVE to be fake as they dont even exist in BBB until i submitted the case. Your fake reviews are NOT fooling anyone!Update 6/17:We are still awaiting resolution. After many calls they stated they are sending a check (refund). We waited, nothing came, we called they say wait some more....so we waited again. Nothing. Now we are being told they are placing a stop pay on a check we never received and issuing a direct refund. Needless to say the saga continues.UPDATE 6/23:They have responded stating they do NOT cover pre-existing conditions. Also responded stating that we filed a claim PRIOR to the 30 day time period. Let me address the first item.1. We live in SOUTH FLORIDA. Air Conditioning in a car is pretty much required especially as we have very small children under the age of 3. OVER a month after purchasing the warranty we took the truck for routine service. The technician stated that there was a leak in the AC system and all the coolant has leaked out. This was NOT a pre-existing condition if it was never diagnosed to begin with. This has been confirmed in writing by the dealership. They called the warranty company who said they would send an independent person to validate within 24 hours as this is our ONLY vehicle. After multiple calls from the dealership and us they finally sent someone 4 days later. YES FOUR DAYS later.2. We signed the contact February 24th. The care was brought in for service in mid April. I have included a screen shot of the page 12 of your vehicle service agreement as we archive EVERYTHING. I can provide the screen shot of the dealer slip too if you would like more proof added for the world to see. Stop with the mis-truths and do what you committed to doing which is refunding people that are struggling or provide service accordingly. And YOU DID NOT refund us. We have not gotten one red cent of the original payment or the payment you said you would refund us while we waited DAYS for your inspector. So my question to you is HOW, pray tell would you know that a condition is pre-existing? Is it that you automatically assume they all are? Did you get that in writing from certified engineers at the dealership? No the truth is this is a scam, people pay...you hope they never use it. When they do you send your inspector, he says hey this looks old to me, case closed.UPDATE 6/24:We finally got refunded to the CC that was charged. We did not get any refund for the rental. BUT now they are calling from spoofed numbers threatening us to remove the review. We WILL NOT and they should presume all future calls will be recorded as we will press charges.Update 6/28They sent an email with a home made legal doc (360legal) asking us to remove the review. Threatening to sue for libel. WE WILL NOT REMOVE HONEST REVIEWS!
SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!I signed up with this company back in April 2022 for my Maserati. I paid $1000 down then $55 a month until I hit another thousand. This was supposed to give me 2 full years of coverage. I called yesterday to get some work done on my car. When I call their number, it just keeps playing the same recording over and over regardless of the option you choose. I went to their website and its down. I then tried to email them from previous conversations and it came back saying the email no longer exists. I shouldve known it was a scam because it sounded to good to be true. Buyers beware!

2022-06-30I recently purchased an American First Auto Protect “policy” for my pickup , The American First Auto Protect sales rep was very amiable & knowledgeable, but as it got closer to the 30 days waiting period before Auto Pair contract activation, I had some reservations so I called to cancel the contract & get a refund. The customer service rep I drew was very congenial, super-knowledgeable & helpful. He answered all my questions & pointed out a number of things I had not considered. He was more than willing to cancel the contract, however, without any pressure, & with an even better understanding of the advantages under the contract after speaking with him, I decided not to cancel. Very satisfied.

2022-06-11Solid experience so far has a claim for my suspension and it was fully covered. Also for my spark plugs which were denied but the claims rep explained that spark plugs aren’t covered under any service contract. I confirmed that with my dealer and he said they are correct and he really liked working with this company since they executed the claim really fast. Can’t complain my car was out of the shop In 2 days

2022-04-15I purchased the extended warranty platinum policy for my 2015 Audi A3 bumper to bumper plan. I worked with Colin Green, Initially it went smooth while purchase the policy. I got repair to replace thermostat and water pump. They approved for water pump repair and gave authorization code to Audi Showroom Tulsa. But they did not paid the invoice for more than 30 days. The show room charged the money on me. In this process I called them 100 times - most of the times it went to voice messages. At one time some one answered that they will process the payment on that day. But it did not happened. Please dont trust this company. Audi Show room also called many times with no answer. Please dont trust. This company is kind of scam

2022-01-04I purchased an extended warranty for my vehicle in December after talking to one of their agents on the phone. They provided an attractive package for my car. Soon after I decided to cancel my contract because I wanted to trade it in to get a new car. They canceled my contract and void the credit card charges immediately after my request. I am happy with their fast action and professionalism to my cancellation request. I cannot comment on their actual service because I never get to use it.

2022-07-06I spoke with Alex, a sales person that was very helpful in explaining the coverage that is included with the advantage plus plan and helping me get expanded coverage for my vehicle. After the 30-day waiting period, I will no longer have to worry about spending $1,000 or more on car repairs if something breaks down. Easily one of the best decisions Ive made that will protect my wallet and give me peace of mind.

2022-01-11I have filed two claims with this company in the past year and both were approved and paid for. I did not want to post a review after the first one because that was a cheap and easy claim. But on my recent claim my suspension went out on my Range Rover. The repair bill was over 6,000 dollars and American first covered the whole bill besides my 250.00 deductible. One of the only companies that uses oem parts which I was pleased about. Great company will be referring them to all of my colleagues and friends

2022-01-06I had bought and Audi Q5 2011 and didnt buy service contract from dealer but shopped on my own. Read reviews.. consumer affairs etc.. and called a few places. American First sounded legitimate and answered all my questions. It was $3K - with a Veteran discount - for Platinum coverage. Great. Paid. In August.. engine light kept coming on. Took to Audi dealer.. needed new fuel pump and regulator. About $1500 in repairs. Called American First.. connected them with Audi. Audi struggled mightily getting anything from them. Sent repair quote but couldnt get American First to agree. American said they were sending an inspector. Never happened 2 weeks went buy and I had rental car. Said they would cover up to $75 a day for rental. Nothing. Audi said I would have to pay and get reimbursed. American First agreed and I did. I never got reimbursed. So I paid them $3K for service contract and then $2K out of pocket - nothing. No billing department. No other folks. Always sounds like the same guy. Endless run around. I then cancelled my contract in November. Colin said fine - billing would reach out. Never did. I asked for confirmation of my cancellation request - nothing. I asked for refund - check is in the mail. Nothing. 2 months later - nothing and now no response from them. Clearly a fraudulent business that takes payment and then does not honor service contract purchased. To this date, no refund and no cancellation confirmation. Just constant run around - not an actual business. UPDATE - You then put a Fictitious REPLY. Unbelievable. You approved the repair - I had to pay - you said you would reimburse - THEN YOU DID NOT. Then you didnt HONOR cancellation. Quit Scamming people. YOUR response is FALSE. I have all the documentation I need to prove this. DO YOU?

2022-01-07American First Auto Protect has provided me with exceptional service. My BMW broke down 2 nights ago on the freeway. I contacted American First and they set me up with towing directly to my Dealership. That following morning I got a call from one of their customer service representatives letting me know that they are in contact with the shop and they will call me before the end of the day with approval. A few hours passed and my phone buzzed and American First called me back and let me know that I can go pick up my car the following day and the claim for the suspension was fully covered. The way American First dealt with this is how every company should be. They stayed in contact with me and did what they promised. Cheers guys thank you.

2021-12-19I am so happy I chose this company over the others I been comparing. Teddy and Jennifer are truly amazing people. My recent claim was taken care of in a timely fashion. I was updated right away when I brought my vehicle for service. The technician found that my fuel injector needed to be replaced. I contacted American first immediately and Jennifer called the shop and paid the claim for me. Jennifer was patient with me answered all my questions and let me know that she was in good hands. I was a little weary of extended warranty because of the last company I had a policy with. But American first stands by there word and did an amazing job. Hopefully I never have to use it again but if I do I know they have my back
