I made an appt to bring in my iphone because it had a cracked back. I was told it would be around $500 to just to fix the back but I could trade it in for a $200 gift card. The genius bar guy I worked with told me there was no rush - I could think about it and come back later. I came back the next week to turn the phone in but this time, I was told that no, I could get nothing for this phone because it was damaged. When I pointed out that I was told just a week before that I *could* get something for this phone and that the phone worked absolutely fine save for the cracked back, the employee practically rolled his eyes and asked with attitude if I wanted to speak with his manager. Huge waste of time and energy - not to mention an environmental disaster. Lets mine more rare earth metals and tear up the planet to make more brand new phones rather than recycle or restore old ones - makes total sense, Apple!
After 2 visits here to purchase items, I can definitively say the service here is worse than other locations. I only go to the apple to store to make specific purchases. Every time I’ve gone to different locations (Oculus, Downtown Brooklyn, Columbus Circle) I’ve been helped and within a reasonable wait time. Both times here the waits have been unreasonable despite not a lot of clients in the store (workers just standing around) and the staff has been hesitant to actually assist. Sucked the excitement from buying a new Mac to be told to order it myself on a computer. Could’ve done that at home and not wasted the trip. Whereas the Oculus location a lovely rep walked me through the options. Sucks that I will have to go out of my local area to a different location going forward.
Dropped off a MacBook for a routine repair and waited much longer for the repair without any communication about delay. If you use your computer for work watch out! Shout out to the nice people at the store tho, otherwise It be a one star.Update, actually one star for returning to the store after getting an alert about the work being done and the employees not being able to find the computer?
Not too busy and I like the new reservation system because the associate that covered to help you really feels like they are interested to help you. I took my son in his birthday to purchase an iPad and also had some trade in and recycling to do. The associate helping me was amazing. My son came out very happy
Roughly one of the most obnoxious retail experiences Ive ever had. Want to buy a phone? Come back in 15 mins to an hour. Why do I need to fit my visit into a schedule? Perhaps a standard retail experience would have sufficed? You know, the one where I walk into a store, grab a product and go to a cashier and paid money for the product?
Pretty weird experience. Something was up with all the employees there, they seemed out of it.I asked for a demo of a basic feature of the iPad and they talked amongst themselves and said they couldnt figure out how to do that. Then after buying an iphone 13, the employee told me I need to buy a USB-C charger for it. Confused, I asked him the iPhone 13 uses USB-C now? To which he said yes, then I checked the ports on the phones and it was clearly a lightning port.
Sales people here are not professional and just want to upsell you. i was here for over an hour both today and yesterday because their systems are down but when you first come in they don’t tell you that. when i asked what they could offer me for all the time i had spent with no result their answer was a free phone case and $1400 out of my pocket for an issue on their end. no empathy. they all stand around and look at you while discussing your problem at hand.
I’ve been having problems with my phone, my iPhone 7 S, for several weeks now and finally decided to make an appointment and visit the Apple Store. I was brought in within about 15 minutes and spent the next 2 1/2 hours with technical support. Nothing was found wrong with my phone they installed a new Sim card and I found went. It’s still not acting right but it’s working. I had to see three different technicians and only the first one really knew what he was doing. It’s a nice big store with one-on-one service right now. Masks required and they clean before and after every appointment. If I do make an appointment I will probably be at a different store.
My less than 4 year old, $2,000 MacBook Pro failed (pink screen of death which is quite common with this model). An obvious manufacturing defect, but they wanted $600 for a repair. Talked with the manager (kind of smug fellow) and they would not budge at all. They offered me 15% off a new machine. Ill never give another dollar to Apple, so no thanks on the discount. Apple made $163 billion in profit last year, but cant cover a $600 repair for a defective machine.
Got to experience my first workshop in an Apple Store. I actually had no idea they even hosted events so I was very pleased to one learn of the spacing and the capacity of excellent staffing they have. I’ve been to a few Apple stores but this was most certainly my most memorable experience.
This apple store is only good for routine transactions. Otherwise, keep your expectations low if youre looking to discuss anything off-script like navigating through the hurdles of a lost iPhone, potentially buying replacement, and restoring backups. When I asked questions about the price, the apple worker suggested I go on FaceBook marketplace for a good deal. I just decided to go without a phone for a little. Incredibly insensitive and apathetic.
Salespeople at this location are a$$holes. I recently broke my screen and needed to get a new phone, I’ve checked the website but wanted to get the phone in person as I wasn’t sure about which color I want and it’s hard to see on the website pictures. As I walked into the store (on a particularly cold day) the guy immediately asked me what I want and that they are closed for browsing. When I said I’m shopping for a phone he said I can’t go anywhere in the store and when I asked if I can at least see the colors his answer was ‘well if you can see them from here’ - then laughed about it with his colleagues ‘Aw, she just wants to see colors’ I left immediately after that. The whole experience made me feel very uncomfortable. Now that I’m checking out my purchase online it says same day delivery from the store is $5 and the free one is about a week waiting time.My question is - why is this store even open if I can’t go there and purchase what I need? Especially that here on google it says ‘in-store shopping’. I walked all the way there on a really cold day, wasn’t able to get what I want and was treated very badly. Will never return to this store
The wait time was extremely long when I’m in the store spending more than a thousand. Could have had more attentive service and wasn’t really taken care of till a different associate helped us about an hour and a half into being there. 3 hours later and I finally purchased the phone and exchanged my old phone.
I had to bring my fiance here to get a new phone which we did but the employees are always trying to sell you extras. All we needed was a phone replacement. We dont need to upgrade the services, buy insurance or whatever add-ons they are trying to sell. If we want them we will ask. The place was over crowded and the phones are way over priced in my opinion. I guess if you like apple products then its a ok place to go.
Accompanied my partner there to fix her MacBook Pro and couldnt help but notice how perfunctory and amateurish the support team was when faced with a unbootable disk image. Their genius support team presented as not only disorganized but also impatient and condescending at the prospect of answering her questions and troubleshooting the issue at hand. One employee then abruptly declared — as if by way of divine revelation — that her recently refurbished macbook was irretrievably broken, not to mention flat worthless. Without so much as a moments break, this lovely individual then proceeded to aggressively press her with the prospect of purchasing a shiny new laptop, running through the specs with as much bedside manner as a loaf of bread. Sad case, man.
Lovely place to resolve every Apple product issues. The ambience is super gorgeous and cosy with several personnel on standby to ensure each customer and prospect alike is well-attended to.One cant but notice the highly conspicuous Apple logo signage that is nicely hung right in front of the building which is noticeable even whilst driving by.It is highly recommended that one book an appointment before venturing to actually visit, otherwise such person should be ready for a very long wait.
I bought my iPhone a few weeks ago from here and have since been back 3 times to buy accessories, take a workshop and check out an Apple Watch. Nice and friendly staff. Clean store... But go at off hours. If you go on the weekends or peak hours its an absolute zoo with people and kids everywhere including unattended screaming infants!! (Flow and crowd control arent things Apple does well apparently.)You are often stood waiting 20+ minutes just for a sales rep to come over so you can buy an iPhone/Apple Watch/iPad/Mac/etc.Apple needs another Brooklyn location so that this one isnt so overrun. (Might I suggest Downtown Bklyn, Bklyn Heights or Park Slope?)Otherwise, if you go at an off peak hour, its a pleasant Apple experience with nice, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
For me one of the worst Apple Stores in NY. Never had a great visit here. Every time I come here I have a problem, either to pay, or someone saying one thing and then saying another thing. Extensive wait to be helped. I came to change my old macbook. He looked it up, went through everything and gave me a price for my old one, but somehow he wasn’t able to process my payment at that time. I was suggest to buy online for pick up at store and put my macbook as trade in. When I came back the same day to pick it up, someone looked again my mac and said it worth it nothing, somehow. So I had to pay the price that was discounted from my old macbook trade in plus the new one.I came back with some friends and family after and they always had some problem too.So I would you suggest to go to any other Apple.
Had to get fast charging for my Iphone Max and it was a great investment !! Charges my phone 80% in half hour and that’s amazing !! That staff at the store was very helpful in my needs with fast charging. I was also looking into getting some protective cases for my iPad it unfortunately they were all out of stock at the moment. No wait time as most other Apple stores can be but then again I only live a block away so would be too much of an inconvenience for me. My only draw back is Apple is pricy and I spend 100$ on just a charging wire and adapter for USB-C charging and that’s outrageous but than again it’s Apple !! Hope this helps ;)
Excellent. The customer support rep, Dare, was polite, professional, patient. I am pleased that my computers were thoroughly checked and serviced. The store was crowded, but thats to be expected at the Apple Store in Brooklyn on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Fuhgeddaboutit!
Staff and manager are AMAZING! They made me feel comfortable, even though I was the last appointment... I didnt feel rushed and although I waited a long time, I could tell that they really wanted to resolve my issues(which they did) inside of just wanting to get home... A Plus! No matter what, I wont make appointments at any other Apple Store.Cheers!
The way they managed the line for iPhone pick up is horrible. And my wife have trouble to transfer her data from her iPhone 12 pro max to her iPhone 13 pro max and it took her more than an hour and half wait and still in progress for at least 40 minutes. And the end she had to erased her data to finish up lucky that she could be able to keep her photos. Thanks apple and apple store.
Generally Apple service is pretty good. But walked in here to get my battery replaced. They told me to come back at 535pm. When I went back there, the phone wasn’t ready. Over the course of the next 50 mins, more than 10 Apple reps walked by and asked if I needed help. And every time, they’d say it’s going to be right out in less than 5 minutes. But had to wait for a whole 50 mins for it to actually get here. Just awful service. How hard is to just give a reasonable time for pickup instead of making you spend 50 mins at the Apple store? Avoid this store if you value your time and good customer service.
I was told over the phone with the sales department that I can go in store to make a purchase and that there is a 10 minute wait. I drove an hour away to be told at 6:30pm that I can’t make a purchase. I’ve NEVER heard anything like that in my life. I even went as far as to show the in store representative that I just got off the phone with the sales department. Are they making up rules as they go or something?
Every employee that I spoke with was nothing but helpful and pleasant! I purchased a laptop to pick up in store, and I was in and out within 10 minutes (I came at my specific pick up window). Everyone was friendly, quick, and efficient. In regards to COVID safety, the store took amazing precautions and made me feel safe and comfortable. I had an amazing experience here and highly recommend this store!
Your typical Apple store. Clean & spacious. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. You have to make an appointment to go in for any reason right now. No walk ins at all, not even to just buy something. You have to purchase online and them go pick it up at the store. You can also make an appointment online or by calling them if you want to go in to shop.
My girlfriend got locked out of her phone randomly. It wouldn’t let her in using her passcode she had just reset (and she had to verify it, so it was definitely what she typed in). Shun was suuuuper helpful and took his time to explain what had probably happened, which was cool. He even helped out with some other minor issues that have been bothering her. Would totally recommend the genius help here, would totally recommend Shun.
I bought an Apple TV here a few weeks ago but the process was weird and made me feel like a criminal. “You came in to browse and now you’d like to purchase something. Is that correct?” I mean wow. Also an older gentleman who was clearly not able to stand in the “purchases” line for a long period of time only wanted an iPhone. Nobody helped him and he eventually left because he couldn’t stand any longer. 2 stars. Get it together.
I am very disappointed to say the least.I came to the store to buy iPad proAnd was totally ignored. After waiting 15 min with nothing happening.I left the store. If this is the service you get when you want to buy something on store maybe people need to stop coming.Thank you for nothing👎
A friendly and fast shopping experience. Nobody tried to upsell me and the salesperson cracked a few jokes with my five and eight year old kids. Plus, they didn’t make fun of me for being a caveman that had no idea how my own Apple Card worked! Love the iPad, by the way. Thanks!
If you need to shop or make an in person purchase don’t waste your time doing so. Apparently the new policy is to only allow you in with an appointment, but this is not advertised anywhere. I waited in line assuming I could walk in per usual because no employees informed me of this new policy until I reached the front of line and was then told the soonest appointment available was an hour from my arrival...just to make a replacement iphone case purchase that would take 60 seconds. Who has the time to diddle themselves in the middle of a work day in the hell hole that is Bedford Avenue? Not I.
I went in for an AirPod case replacement recently. I was there before closing, with 10 minutes still on the clock and a few geniuses standing around, and not many other customers left, they refused to help me. The manger Alex said the process was complex and there were not enough time to do it. So I made an appointment for the next day.The next day I came on time. But they made me wait 35 min. When it got to my turn, the whole process took exactly 4min. So I asked to speak to Alex again and asked why she was unwilling to help customers? This time she said those geniuses had other customers to take care of (they did not). She lied to cover her laziness. She’s unfit for the job. Front facing employees should care about your customers. People like this should not be given a role to represent Apple or the team.
Made an appointment and was instructed i made the incorrect appointment to fulfill my AirPod recall so was forced to wait outside in cold for 1 hour. No attempt at accommodating me to simply swap out the AirPods that are not only serving an active recall but also that I have apple care for. The line attendant even was turning people away showing up within minutes of their appointment to ask them to come back at the exact appointment time. I’ve hosted a busy restaurants before, not hard to do. I understand waiting, but like I said NO ATTEMPT TO HELP ME WITH AN APPOINTMENT MADE ALREADY!😡
Sales and pickup operations at this branch is excellent. This defines setting the bar for all of retail businesses, as they should follow such model. The key is keeping the customer and the product connected with minimal external resistance, whilst making the purchasing transaction as smooth as possible.
The customer service here is useless. I tried to bring in my iPhone because it was freezing and they did everything they could to get rid of me. Some supposed manager turned off my phone and turned it on again to fix it but when I told him that the speakerphone wasn’t working he told me that they were booked. Meanwhile, the store is full of employees just standing around. It is impossible to book anything online and they can’t even explain the differences between the products they sell. This store is disgusting.
Amazing staff on hand! They were super willing to do all the cable swaps I needed to do because of how it was broken. They didn’t have to swapped out the frayed cable I had, but they did, which was nice. They were also willing to replace the screen on my phone that has a bright spot as a warranty replacement, in which they did a good job with. Staff was really respectful. The one thing that could’ve changed was the accessory selections and the number of entrances to the store—there isn’t enough of either.
Some staff just dont want to help you but some others are very helpful... For a consultation for buying an Iwatch took me forever, the person seems just not to be interested in helping me, so I he to just ask someone else, who helped full but give me some wrong prices, then to buy an iPad was easier..., maybe they just take care of you depending on how much you are going to spend?
It is clean and organized and in order to get inside you need an appointment. The staff who were outside and the one who is in inside of the entrance they are not friendly, not even communication to the costumer. The only was that was funny, friendly and respectfull was the one who did help us with the things that I need.
Great, fast service in a truly nice space. The employees seem a little bit rushed but they never let you feel they are stressed. Everybody was very friendly. Got my phone repaired for zero cost despite the fact that they also exchanged the battery which had not even caused problems before!
I’m a bit torn. twice now the team, notably the genius bar, have gone above and beyond to help me out and fix what i’ve needed in a timely manner. i’ve recommended this location to all my friends in NYC. unfortunately the last time i took in my laptop, they did fix the problem but created another problem with my macbook without even checking. simply checking to make sure my macbook worked before giving it back to me would have solved this problem, and instead i was obligated to take it back, being without my laptop for another week, to get the problem fixed.
I understand covid times but the people outside is so not helpful and very rude....will tell you if you don’t have appointment or didn’t order to pick up...you can’t ask or get to see a product basically you can’t shop here. However I went online to try doing order to pick up and it wasn’t even available. Twice I have gotta no help with the employees outside at this location ....they won’t be seeing me at the Apple store and I’ll make sure to not recommend this location at all. I rather shop at different location that’s much helpful & if I can’t get to a location will just shop online with Apple customer service.

2021-12-21Great experience! Friendly service. I had my electric scooter and was able to come right in with it to take care of my business. Friendly employees, I was helped promptly and got my order within minutes. Clean store, very hip ambiance all around. Plenty of space although there were quite a few people shopping. I bought the iPhone 13pro for filming and art tutorials.

2022-06-25Apple sales store for all apple items: iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, bads, airpod and other items. They enough staff working in the store. Customer service is 2 out of 5, product price is same as other apple store, high, cleanness 5 out of 5, exhibition 5 out of 5, location 4 out of 5. Roadside parking.Staff are not helpful, and they dont not what to do. One of the expert came to help us transferring from previous device to our newly purchased item, then he said that he has a 15 minutes break, he is coming back shortly. We waited one hour. He did not come. Another expert disappeared after as he said I am coming right back to set up screen protector, and he has gone.

2022-05-07I had the pleasure of meeting with Henry, who helped me out with my AirPods Max. For months they had been crackling and glitching frequently, and I decided to pop by to see if there would be any way I could fix them. Thankfully, I was set up with an appointment 10 mins after I walked in. Henry took under 20 mins to run diagnostics and specify the issues that showed up in the test. Henry was kind, patient, and very helpful!! Thank you, Henry!

2022-06-05Jersey Mike helped me figure out a plan after my phone was stolen. He was gracious, well spoken, super informed, and friendly. He had the answers to all my (very specific) questions and thoughtful suggestions. He made a stressful situation feel far more manageable. This guy is a great employee! Thanks Mike!

2022-05-16They have an organized check-in system and seating if you are a bit early. There was also a live session for kids I believe, to make a movie trailer. The gentleman that worked with me was very helpful. Im not tech savvy and he didnt make me feel bad.

2022-02-10I went in for a repair and it took a little longer than usual. The staff was so welcoming and very interpersonal. Lizann, Alejandro and Mario were extremely helpful and have the patience of an angel. I truly appreciate them for going above and beyond for me and being able to help me walk out with a working phone. Thank you for your service!

2022-06-052 hours and a day wasted. Despite buying a new phone every year and a brand new Mac last, it seems replacing defective AirPods Pro is too much of an ask for Apple. I have been advised to smash them and bring them back to get them replaced which I appreciate, unfortunately it shouldn’t be schemers who gets their broken products replaced. It should be good customers. In addition, I also was told an hour and it took 5. When I returned I waited half an hour because they forgot about me.I can’t work with these AirPods and I am not shelling out $200 for another pair when there’s probably new ones in the winter.
