Cocktails where alright. My husbands drink that he has all the time when we go to applebee tastes like she over poured on alcohol and honestly ruined the taste of the cocktail. The cosmo was too much, she definitely over poured on that and its hard to mess up a cosmo. The green apple sangria was horrible I had not apple taste at all just straight alcohol taste. But however the wonton taco were soggy, the quesadilla was way to over buttered, the boneless wings where smothered in sauce which then made the wings soggy. We got no napkins and we didnt even stay for dinner cause of pour service. Waited 15min for hostess to sit us cause she was too busy hitting on a couple of customers. She took us to our table and then continued to sit with the customers she been talking with. Honestly poor service and I was giving this place a second chance after the first worst experience we had at this one. Honestly definitely not coming back to this applebees again.
Great American cuisine. Staff was friendly and the service was excellent. Will definitely visit again if in the area.

AFTER BEING SEATED I WAS NOT GREETED BY A WAIT PERSON FOR 10 MINUTES, I THEN WATCHED SOMEONE ELSE WALK IN AND SEATED AND BEING WAITED ON BEFORE ME. THE BAR AREA WAS NOT THAT BUSY.I WAS DISHEARTNED BY THE SERVICE AS I USUALLY EAT THERE ONCE A WEEK. I WILL THINK OF THIS BEFORE I RETURN.
Food was ok. Went at 9:30pm couldnt believe how many little kids were there. Asked greeter not to sit next to a screaming kid. He accommodated my request but then sat 3 different familys with kids under 3 next to me. Just bad luck maybe.

The store and staff were GREAT. I am only giving 3 stars because I chose the shrimp covered steak instead of my usual Bourbon Street steak. Thought Id give it a try. It was very bland. I was not impressed. But the Bourbon Sovereign steak is INCREDIBLE! LUV IT!

The sevice at this location is just horrible.I came here with my family.The waitress never brought our drinks.I am very patient but after waiting 25 mins, I asked a different waiter to bring our drinks. The food order arrived wrong. When the waitress finally showed up, she said that she will fix it but she never did. When I approach her, she appeared very nervous and said the manager will come over. When the manager showed up, the issue was resolved in 2 mins. Please hire competant staff because your business depends on it. Today you lost a customer who would have brought you alot of business.

Horrible experience. Waitress had no name tag so I didn’t get her name but she was very rude, took forever for our drinks, didn’t ask if we wanted an appetizer, we had to order our appetizers on the tablet. Asked for a medium well steak got a VERY dry well done steak. My young son ordered a cheeseburger with just ketchup and it came with pickles, tomatoes, and onions. Other son ordered pizza and she came back 5 mins later saying they had no pizza left. Will NEVER return to this Applebee’s again.

Just waited 20 minutes after being seated (with one single menu for the table to share) with no serve to even take a drink order. Multiple servers walked by the table, not one stopped. Have a nice night, the manager said as we were leaving. What a joke. It will be a nice night once we go to TGI Fridays across the street where Im sure we wont be waiting 20 minutes at the table without having a single bother to stop, even to let us know it will be a minute before someone gets to us.

I came in to eat with my grandma and we were welcomed to a sticky table, we were only given one menu as well. I ordered grilled chicken and mashed potatoes, but the chicken was quite bland and the potatoes were mostly cold. My grandma ordered the chicken tenders, the chicken was quite bland and the only part she liked was the fries.
Slower on the service side. Ordered 3 cheese chicken penne, they seasoned the chicken a bit much and the noodles were a little dry, but it was still a decent meal.
My elderly mother ate French onion soup at this location two months ago and immediately fell ill with severe bowel issues. After failing health, weight loss, nausea, and a host of other issues her doctors finally discovered she was infected with C. difficile, a severe infection of the bowels that can lead to death. My mother survived 4 separate cancer treatments and a bowl of French onion soup at this location nearly killed her. She is now on antibiotics of two weeks and has a long recovery ahead of her. I cannot without good conscious not mention this to others who are considering eating here. We will also be contacting the health department and the corporate office to address this.
Usually I love Applebees, but this time was kinda horrible. Mustve waited 10 minutes to be seated, took longer then normal to get our drinks, but staff was friendly so we tried to be patient. Appetizers were great as always but again took forever. Then our meals came, very disappointed, everything was cold. My boyfriend ate his steak cold and I sent my entire plate of ribs back. Again staff was polite and didnt charge for the plate i sent back full.

The waitress was very nice; all of them. They need to hire cooks that know how to cook. My garlic green beans had no garlic sauce on them and my daughters steak was over cooked. The manager did take her steak off our bill and I did get garlic sauce for my beans but really?
The burger I had was completley soggy, the salad was awful, and the beer was completely flat, and our server was not great. Im not one to ever complain, but if I could give zero stars I would. Not returning.
Waitress awesome, food not that great. Salad was good, ribs small portion and over cooked. Veggies Iver cooked. But again, the waitress was very nice. Visit may have been more enjoyable had I not fallen due to the platform seating, that is impossible to see due to it blending into the wall because it was black. Ending lunch on the floor, straddling two high top chairs, was not good.
Manager sat us and took our drink order. Saw waitress one time between taking our food order then asking for check. Felt very ignored. Had to walk up to the bar to get my own water bc no one came over to our table.
The staff here is usually pleasant and the food is good. The restaurant is kept clean.Tonights waitress, Nichole, was amazing. I moved my review up to a five star after sitting at one of her tables. It was also nice to sit at a table without a tablet on the table.
Our waiter Joey was very polite and helpful. Wonderful Staff. Beautiful place. We loved it. We tried the new 9.99 chicken on the front of the menus with the cheese, broccoli and potatoes and dessert. Yummm
Wait times were a bit long depending on when you go, but service was great and servers were pleasant. The food was good and hit and fresh when it arrived at the table. The mixed drinks are very good as well as the beer. Overall this is a good place for food and drinks on a Friday night or on the weekend.
They were slow on even bringing us menus. Then I ordered my burger well done no pink. I cut it in half and it was pink all the way thru.

Service was excellent! I was really surprised because the last time we were here it wasnt so great. Our waiters name was Scott and he was great! Didnt have to wait for drink refills, snuck in a few friendly jokes, and everything came out fresh and hot.
Mixed review. The first time we went(on our way out to Niagara) the meal was wonderful , server polite and very personable. One week later , same restaurant , different server , order was not filled correctly (but was corrected at no charge)dessert was ordered but not served until server brought check and we reminded her of dessert.
Server Alyssa did a great job, our appetizers took quite some time to come out tho....the one negative was we ordered a drink and it took 20 minutes to get .thats far too long, she did keep us posted thoAll in all the food was great tasting and good portions for the money, I always love going
It seems as though every time we go to Applebees it reminds us on why we stop going. This particular time. The burgers came not how ordered. Seen the waitress twice. When we ordered and when the bill came. Someone else did the serving of the food. Fries were cold. And in my opinion to over priced for what you receive. Maybe its just bad luck or maybe staff and food need a revamp. I will say the spinach dip was good.
Was best place to eat. Not now sadly. IF YOU ORDER A BUG BEER ITS THE SANE SIZE AS SMALL JUST POOR IT IN YOUR SMALL GLASS ALL FITS! Usual high fat, high sugar, high salt, high calorie, low quality meat offerings. Use only at the risk of poor health and type 2 diabetes. Why cant they find food for the now. People are REALLY begining to take care of their health more these days. Move forward of fail...thats the message. Well try again next year...if your still open!
I dont go to many chain restaurants. Last time I was at an Applebees I was underwhelmed (not this one). Came here to meet family from out of town. Aside from a weird snafu alerting the waitress to our presence, I was pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent and the menu extensive. They were very accommodating to special requests. I would go again.

I go here because they have always done things like I like them. Well tonight was not their night. Our waiters was such a wonderful young lady. She spoiled us and stayed on our drinks, she was very pleasant.Then it came to the food. I ordered a steak with no onions and no mushrooms. It came loaded, then taken back and they were scraped off. Then brought back out with some still on it. The supervisor tried to make it right, at that point my food was wrong. So I was done eating. We were then offered a discount and thank you we did take it. We were also offered brownie bites, my husband said yes. We sat and waited after we were done eating for about 10 mins , they never came. I am a diabetic. I needed to get some food in me. So we had to leave to get some food for me.Thank you for trying to make it right. An again we had a wonderful waitress.
I did carside to go at the last moment today and couldnt get my phone to load... The service in car side was outstanding. She got me a menu, took my order, delivered my food in the absolute freezing cold with a smile and fantastic skill... She could have left me to the slow and frustrating phone issues but she didnt... Well done! Much appreciated!!!!!
Food and services was mediocre. Dont expect to have your table looked after, waiting patiently for drinks, refills and even somebody to check on us to ensure our order was correct. Which the order was not correct and wasnt handled with care or respect. This has happen multiple times over the years and seems to be poorly managed. As a bonus they do have karaoke night.
Wr were s large group there for my fathers birthday. Service was slow but the waitress we had was the only one on our side of the restaurant. All the other servers were on the other side. All the food we received was cold. The manager did not apologize. The food was to salty. My father didnt even eat much of his meal. It was that bad. I had casadias and they were greasy and had no chicken in them. We where very disappointed. I should have picked another place for my dads birthday.
The dinner was going great, except the steak to go with my salad was raw. I complained, my waitress took it back to the kitchen and it came back as shoe leather. I talked to my waitress and she got the manager, very apologetic about the problem and he took my dinner completely off our bill. The salad was fabulous but would have been better with the steak.
Well as all Applebee’s locations seem to have in common is rude hostesses! We had a party of 5 and the hostess wanted to squeeze us in a small table of 4. Mentioned it to the hostess and she acted like it was a inconvenience. So she turned around and dragged a two person table and said here. Food was good and so was our waitress.

God food, good portions. Sometimes overdone with some of the menu items such as ribs and steak is also a hard option to get the way you want. Otherwise they have decent food. Service is good as well, for the most part. I wouldnt make any immediate plans for after dining experience and set a watch by it, but its not bad either. More pricey than what you pay for in a lot of areas for an Applebees.
Service was good. Hamburger and onion rings great. Fish fry was poor. Not cooked well fries old and cold. Cole slaw sour.Steak was like shoe leather. Fries were fresh and hot. It was near empty at lunchtime so no excuse from the kitchen but now we know why low customer number st this location.
I like the food when we order in... the food is good. The problem is when we order out. Almost every single time Ive ordered from there with my family, theyve missed something in our order. And it will be on the receipt, and we will be charged for it, but we dont get the actual food. Luckily, most of the stuff isnt too expensive - around 10-20 dollars. It will tell us who checked the order - but the food is always missing. My family and I had to call back and go back to the resteraunt to get the food. I wouldnt reccomend ordering out unless you check the order yourself - which isnt the responsibility of the costumer. Very disappointed.
After being told twenty minutes for our order we arrived called to let tia know we were hereWe waited thirty minutes outside again before calling and again getting tia at which point she told us she forgot and proceeded to bring us cold food. We asked her to re-fry the fries towhich she obliged. Just an over all bad experience.
Had the 2 for $20 meal. The grilled lemon chicken with wild rice was good except for a bite or two that was extra salty. Had a meal with two good friends. We met there to help the man celebrate his birthday. He was suppose to get a free sundae for his birthday and it took 3 reminders before the waitress brought him the sundae. It was not very busy due to the time of day and the weather.

Friday evening at 5:30, the place is packed. Service was very good but terribly slow. I can understand that it was a peak time. We had a party of 5. Some of the food was not hot when we got it, sitting in the kitchen waiting is my guess. Will try again another time.
Service is always great, friendly and personable, though it can take longer to receive your order when its not as busy (strange but true). Food has always been delicious and prices are par with other chain restaurants.

Ordered food online. When I got there the manager couldnt. Tell what order was mine even tho there were only two there. The manager handed me the wrong food and let me leave with the food. If I didnt check at taco bell I would have got home with two appetizers and one entree for 21.60. When I went back I realized both orders were mixed together and i didnt have my garlic mash. The manager and Togo girl seemed some what sorry about the inconvenience but blamed others for order being wrong. Started eating at home and realized the burger was under cooked the artichoke spinach dip was burnt and crusty. I could understand if it was busy to get things mixed up but it looked really slow. Really wished that they could have made my experience a little better.
Good bartenders, 3 star food good for a national chain restaurant, and 4 star for the mixed drinks. expect a very long and awkward wait. Youll have people crowing the door and have to sit on top of each other. When it very busy.
Applebees used to be good 20 years ago but not so much now. The service lacks quality and they push you out of there even if your spending a lot of money. The food is okay at best and there are not many gluten free options at all.
Absolutely phenomenal service from our server, Lindsey. Food was great as well, ordered a medium rare steak, which was cooked to perfection. Very pleased by this location. Will be back!
Lynzee was a super waitress. The hostess was really peppy and the Cajun chicken and shrimp was on the money. Enjoyed the French onion soup too! Great meal and atmosphere.

Well this particular Applebees used to be our normal date night spot. Tonight we had a less then attentive waitress. We ordered the chicken broccoli Alfredo [which we where told came with a breadstick], breadsticks and Alfredo sauce [which we had to explane was indeed on the menue and even pointed to it], pretzels and beer cheese [which I find very good comes with honey mustard], the new strawberry rainbow lemonade which was very nice comes with one refill, the quesadilla burger which I like but thats a personal preferance, and lastly I asked for the strawberry mango blended margarita produced ID for both at the table as is asked for ever other time Im here and two where produced. (This is inportand because as the driver I cant have 2 and my wife will not drink tequila. We even had explained all the mistakes of the previous visit to the waitress before we started in that we where missing some item on the last visit. Though we have had some very good times at this location just not recently.

I seem to have become quite the regular at the “Elmira” Applebee’s located in consumer square Horseheads. While the food is better than any other Applebee’s I have been to so far, I must say, the most enjoyable aspect of this Applebee’s would without a doubt be the staff. No matter what day I go in there or what time even, I’m almost always lucky enough to have exceptional service. Primarily though, I visit later at night. Mostly after 9. I’m here multiple times a week and I am absolutely never disappointed with my experience. Alli, Melissa, Kelly, Sara, Mo and Jess are all, hands down, some of the most amazing people I’ve encountered in customer service as a whole. No matter what night myself and my friends visit, it’s always a wonderful time. The girls are energetic, helpful, attentive and an overall blast to be around. I’m only one of many regulars who frequent this Applebee’s largely because of the 6 of them. If you were able to ask each and every one of us why we visit, we would more than likely all have the exact same answer. Most bartenders you encounter are usually relatively social, but only to a certain point. Alli, Kelly and Sara on the other hand are, to say the least, extraordinary. They are not only fabulously social, but genuine aswell. The managers, Melissa and Jess are also superb. Managers at many establishments I’ve visited almost never actively participate. You mostly see them watching over everyone, seeming as though they’re too good to get involved. Melissa and Jess on the other hand, they are always quick to help their staff any time it’s needed an they are always out interacting with guests, making sure the food and the experience is everything it should be. Last but not least, Mo. I have only once had her as a server, as myself and my friends always sit at the bar, but every time since then she has always interacted with myself and my party in a positive and enjoyable manner. Even when sitting at the bar, she is always still attentive to us and our needs... making the experience that much more enjoyable because you know she isn’t doing it to “get a good tip” like one might expect somewhere else. She’s simply doing it because she’s personable and she enjoys making our experience the best it can be.While all Applebee’s are the “Neighborhood Grill & Bar” as they call themselves. This specific location takes that slogan to the absolute next level with their service, food and most importantly, their staff. I have been to many restaurants. I almost always go out of my way to try and experience something new while I’m out traveling... but I still have yet to find a place that can hold a candle to this Applebee’s. If you haven’t been, I definitely recommend giving them a visit.

Waited 40 minutes for our food with ONE other table in our section. Waitress only stopped at table to drop drinks off (water and mt dew) 8 minutes after we ordered them and we didnt see her again for over 30 minutes when she finally brought food AFTER I had to go remind them we were still waiting !
Waitress was good. Food was ok but kinda bland & dry. 2 of us had the Chicken Parm over fettuccine noodles. Chicken was ok but really needed more sauce. Noodles were really starchy & dry from lack of sauce. Ill try something different if/when I rturn. Captain Morgan Bahama Mama was the bomb!
3 of 4 meals had to be comped for being inedible. There was no sauce and approximately 5 chunks of chicken in my wrap, which had half an inch of cheese in it. The burger ordered had so much sauce on it the bun was soggy. The tomato soup had about 3 bites of soup under a skin of cheese half an inch thick. The bourbon chicken was dry and tasteless. Theyve ruined the oriental chicken salad by switching to cheaper lettuce and rice noodles and have cut the amount of chicken in the salad by at least half. Theyre cutting corners everywhere - including service.

The last two times we tried to eat at Applebee’s the air conditioning was blowing cold air down on us. The lady across from us was wearing a wool sweater and wrapped a scarf around her neck. It also cools down the food. Is there anyway you could turn the vents not to blow on your patrons? I realize it is summer and you want it cooler but when it becomes uncomfortably cold then you can’t enjoy the food or the atmosphere.

My husband and I got a Christmas gift card. My husband was so disappointed with the meal. He ordered a sirlion steak dinner. The meat looked liked chopped raw guts. Applebees please order better quality food or your customers will be looking at a better restaurant.

Really cant say anything about the food but the service totally sucked the waiter got my drink and I told him I needed a few minutes to decide what I wanted which he never came back to take my order he couldnt use the excuse that it was busy it was Saturday night at 10:30 the place was empty except for 2 people at the bar so I got up and threw $3 in the managers face and told him to shove the place up his ass he didnt even say a word take it from me the service totally sucked never stop there again

My experience at Applebees in Painted Post was the worst that I have ever had!!!! Our food was cold, the waitress was rude!! I will never eat at that Applebees again!! I will stay with the one in Big Flats!

I usually like applebees but this past visit was not up to the usual standard. There was food on the floor that hadnt been cleaned up yet, server was not very attentive, and food was warm at best.
Very friendly wait staff. Very good service. They were also very patient with my sisters kids. Overall great visit. I am not usually disappointed with this applebees.

Theres usually a bit of a wait for a table but the staff is super friendly, efficient, and helpful. Its one of my familys favorite places for dinner.

WENT TO CURBSIDE SERVICE FOR A RACK OF RIBS DINNER. ALL WAS GOOD, BUT THE BABY BACK RIBS ARE LACKING THE AMOUNT MEAT THAT TRADITIONAL FULL RIBS ARE. THEY REALLY SHOULD INCLUDE BIG RIBS TO THE MENU! THE $19 FOR BABY BACKS IS FAIRLY PRICEY, BUT VERY GOOD TASTE.

2022-02-19I am, disappointed generally with how this place is. Like most restaurants of the same style (Texas Roadhouse, Chilis) you can get the appetizer sampler for only a few bucks, get a ton of food from it and you wont be disappointed. Similarly the bowls are also very good.However every time I go here the staffing is a mess. The last three times I can remember over the past two years there have been wild staffing issues where no one knows what food goes where, what table to seat someone, no one collects the check, the soft drinks are always watered down or low on syrup. Once I had a great waitress but it was for a work group so I think they just had someone experienced come out but generally I think theyre having trouble with training people.Food is fine, management needs to try harder to get people up to speed. Cocktails are nice.

2022-03-27No one was very friendly, had to keep asking waitress for things because she never asked us if we needed anything. Service was usually a lot better. Food was ok but was better when I went before. Not sure Ill go back

2022-02-10Got home to find the food I had was something I would have sent back if I had dined in. No sauce on the 3 cheese penne I ordered. Chips with spinach artichoke dip were covered in thick salt. My husbands food was sliding all over the dish mixing it all together. Only positive thing is my food came out before it was supposed too so maybe if they took those extra minutes...

2022-02-24The fish and chips, a favorite of mine, werent what I expected so I left most on the plate and did not request a to-go box. Over cooked, and super dry fish isnt pleasant with lukewarm fries. My sons chicken tenders were overcooked as well. So instead of eating the 5 presented on his plate, he managed 2 and complained it hurt his teeth to chew. 😀 My mother-in-law asked for a well done burger and received a burger with a mildly pink center. I cant understand why so many odd things occurred. It wasnt lunch rush or dinner hours. There were only a handful of patrons seated. Guessing I should have taken that sign to heart. I love Applebees, always have and always will. This one location wont discourage my outlook on the fantastic ones I frequent in Syracuse or Watertown.

2022-03-15They didnt have the all you can eat riblets ,chicken strips or shrimp like the online menu says. Was very disappointed and the only reason I went in the first place. If you stop or have restrictions on where certain things are sold. Then those franchises arent in line with corporate specials. So just rename it and sell whatever you want. Consistency is the key to a successful business. I wont be going back.
