It’s kind of far from the train stations but there are multiple buses that goes there. You can also walk. The place is nice and intimate. They have big space too. The host was amazing. The food tasted good. The wait for food wasn’t long either. Both dishes we ordered tasted good. The bathrooms are clean.Highly recommended!
Funny story, wife and I were at Times Square and stopped at the Applebees there, but it was full and the prices were higher, so we decided to go to an establishment near home. Boy did we nail it.Food was great, drinks too. The service was fast and personal, I felt like someone special there. Granted it was a rainy day and restaurant was kinda empty, but still my food got there fast and boy was it good.I’ll definitely go again. Recommended
Waitress keep us waiting like for 20 minutes. I really thought this place was Good, but it is not. How in the world you get the appetizer right with the main plate too *late* very late. . (Fustrated experience) no folks When the food arrived. I order a plate that was supposed to come with a tortillas and the not even apologized with us .Not coming back.
They dont have the drinks in a bucket. Its disappointing and I dont need 3-4 ppl without mask talking over my food. Its disgusting and ridiculous before they bring it to the table
I am here right nowI came in at 10.It is now 10:54.I am still waiting for a drink.A hostess told me I could sit at the bar. The bartender named Christine with brunette hair was the least attentive and handed me a menu like I was a piece of trash off the street.I deal w bad attitudes all day and she takes the cake.It got so bad that I moved myself with help from the hostess.She put me in another servers section.That server raised a finger, as if to say, wait, when I told another server I had yet to be served, and the server was trying to get her attention.Finally, that server Onika offered to put me in her section.I waited forever to get a Pepsi.Onika is not a bad server, but it is obvious that this establishment is not concerned about its customers. She was trained by her superiors and her supervisors and the management is terrible.Malerie, the manager, came over and asked if everything was alright and she even asked if I wanted a refill.I did not bother complaining because I wanted to enjoy my meal, which finally arrived, AND IT IS NOT LIKE SPEAKING UP WILL CHANGE A THING.I used to eat here all the time.I used to watch UFC and boxing events and even ate lunch here when I worked in the area.Back then it was great.If the day time management is anything like the SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 8 2018 service, avoid this place like the plague.AND THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT EVEN THAT BUSY.I am such an open minded person and I will give the benefit of the doubt to people but I am not able to make a good experience out of my dinner here.I am never returning.
A nice place for family and friends, they also have happy hour n food is also good. Their happy hour is great and vibe is wonderful and the are friendly. The staff is also very nice
My favorite meal is the Bourbon chicken and shrimps but today Jordan has been The Best Part of my Experience!!!!! Attentive, Friendly, Knowledgeable and EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! There’s nothing like it in Fordham Rd. Don’t come here for steaks, fries, broccoli or any soup. My girl ordered the French onion soup and she renamed the dish as ‘Applebees’s the soggy bread soup’. Then She went to the bathroom and was mesmerized to see that the front desk person did Not even wash her hands! Maaaannnn she doesn’t know that’s something that the employees MUST DO! The only things that were good are the water and the Pepsi. I ordered some steak medium well and came out well done. I asked the waitress if she thought it was medium well or well done and she said, “it’s medium well”. I laughed!The waitress had a bad attitude and clearly did not know what I meant when I asked for my steak to be charred. The broccoli was cold and the fries were almost hard-rock like.I would NOT recommend anybody to visit this Applebee’s if it is not to grab a Pepsi, a glass of water or just some napkins to clean their nose.
Took a while to get out drinks but it was happy hour and super worth it. Friendly service all around. 5 stars
Its located at 3rd Avenue and Pelham square shopping center. Its nice inside and the workers are very nice. Ive stop there couple of times to use the bathroom and was never denied access. Its very nice, I would recommend it to anyone.

I was at the bar and and it takes someone at least 20 to 25 minutes before Someone offer me the menu or a drink. I got upset I spoke to the supervisor and shift and he dealt with me himself. I was just about to walk out and never return

We had the Cosmo and $2 punch which is premade and does not come with much alcohol. The wings are okay. The sweet chili is good but they were out of celery so I was upset about that. The chicken taco wontons are amazing. I would get that 2x and the artichoke dip which is also delicious. You can get extra chips if you ask. If you go with other things on the menu you get a whole lot to take home especially the 2 for $20-30 menu. Good luck
Angie made my sons birthday special. She is awesome. The food was good and the children had fun. Having this type of service in the Bronx just feels good.
I was here for a happy hour at the bar with my friend. Tge bartender took our order but then proceeded to ignore us for 20 minutes...how that happens I will never know. We decided after that to not even order anything else. We left with such disappointment in their customer service. We will not be returning.
Place was clean , good food n good service . The food got a lil price up. But everything is like that right now.
Sat there for a nice breakfast which was Greaaat! 🐱But there was one thing in regards to the sit in the compartament tables,it was kind of uncomfortable with mashmellow seat. I wiished I had a pillow then to place my low down bottom on it😏.

The food had to be sent back multiple times along with the drinks the drinks the drink wasnt the color as it was on the picture it tasted a Horrible it looked like some type of chemical was in it it was bubbling Up 2 out of the 3 of us had to send our food back The eggs were spicy the potatoes were overcooked the Toast was burnt steak was not well done Didnt wait a quarter attitude when we questioned her about the color of the drink she says I dont know why it looks like that thats just how it comes now They told me they would adjust my bill My bill was $19 if as you can see on the receipt he took the $19 all then charged me $10 to put it back on here said he was only charging me for the state because they had to redo it 3 breakfast is only one was liked to 3 drinks only 1 was like and my total bill was still 50 something dollars as you can see nothing was took it off the manager was very rude

I went there after 7PM on May 21, 2021 and the staff was great! They were courteous and friendly. I was visiting from another State, and found this location on Google map. I ordered ribs, fries and rice. The ribs and rice was great! The fries was just a bit too salty. Food was worth the price and served in a timely manner. The ambiance was good as well. And if you go there on your birthday, best believe they are gonna sing you a happy birthday song - Applebees Style. 😁 I recommend them. Would definitely visit again!

Service was slow, food was meh, my med rare steak was almost burnt and dry, smoothie was full of ice blocks, and they charged me for a full appetizer as opposed to a side dish. When we Informed the manager he didnt care and still charged us the wrong price. This is why they dont have many customers there as maybe 5 ppl were there.

I ordered food through the uber app and when i received it, everything was so cold as if it coming from the refrigerator or it had been sitting around for a while. Even if someone walked with that food to deliver it in the winter it still wouldnt be that cold. The portion of brownie for $4 was ridiculous! See picture attached.. Come on Applebees...people need value for their money!!! I wanted to beat myself for wasting my money..Absolutely disappointed!!

Im giving it 3 stars because the food was good and on time, we didnt wait long, and it was clean. But the waitress was not attentive in addition when asked for something she would be take a deep breathe like she was being bothered. Thats why I would not give it 5 stars.
Everything about this restaurant was a bad experience. We asked to sit inside because my mother was cold and they sat us next to a door that they refused to close. To top it off, they have some scam going on. DO NOT pay your bill on your phone. They basically forced me to do so because of covid restriction claiming it’ll be easier for them. After I paid, they immediately said there was an issue and that they had to charge me in person. I showed that the money was taken out of my account and they still went ahead and charged me twice. The manager insisted we couldn’t leave till we paid the bill twice. Now I have to wait 90 days to get my money back. Ridiculous!

1st off let me start off by saying this was my husband and I favorite hood spot. Emphasis on WASOur waitress was Beyonce. She was very nice and served our food with a smile.My problem was the hair that i found in my salad. As if that was not enough, nobody checked our temperature coming thru the door even tho the staff was situated in the front of the establishment. After being seated to wait for a table a couple came in after us the lady semi had on a mask but her husband did not! Not only that!! He was slightly coughing (without covering his mouth) and this is all before we was seated at our table. True indeed he could have had asthma but we are in a pandemic(UNACCEPTABLE)Now lets talk about the male bartender with the dreads🤦🤦🤦 NO MASK! NO GLOVES!! NO HAIR NET !!!I observed him shake someone hands(NO GLOVES) brush his dreads from his face (AGAIN NO GLOVES) Wipe his face as if he was wipeing sweat from his forhead(NO GLOVES) and proceeded to make our drinks😱😱 I also observed him pick up the fruits with his bare hands and drop it in our drinksssss, not only ours but he did that to multiple ordersWe asked for the check in left.Got to do better Applebees on Fordham
The server Brought me my food and took 10 mins to bring us utensils, ordered Mixed drinks and after a 15 min wait decided to just cancel and leave. The server was lost it seemed at points and wasnt on point at all. I got my appetizer and had to wait about 20 minutes to get a seltzer water. The place wasnt busy either. As a local, this is disappointing and I likely wont be returning.

Great lunch experience! I went in on a Saturday to have a relaxed bite to eat with family. The nice staff seated us right away and got our food & drinks pretty quickly. My sister, the picky eater, actually enjoyed her meal. The place was neat & clean. Would come again when Im in the neighborhood.

If they couldn’t handle my order today then you should of cancel it. Mind I order for two people at 6:37 pm and now it’s 9:50 pm and I still haven’t got my order. I called several time and they keep saying we check on your order and haven’t gotten a resolution as yet. I called again at 9 pm and a few times after that and they are not answering the phone. Seems like the 25 percent dine in got them too busy or hosting more than 25 percent... smh at lease cancel my order so I can buy food else where. Very unprofessional and not reliable
We frequent this place and the kids loved it. This place is spacious and well looked after. The wait time is moderate but could be faster in my opinion. The food is kind of hit and miss. Some days its amazing and other days dry as hell. I like to order the grilled chicken Alfredo, the last time I was there it was so dry that I could hardly finish it. The waiters and waitresses are good and friendly. Lastly, its very family friendly.
Do not come to this applebees they got our orders wrong and they only have slushies and alcoholic beverages they have no soda, juice or water just smoothies and alcoholic beverages. also they’re smoothies taste like straight up water

This particular location is very inconsistent. I’ve visited about 7 times and some visits were great while other were not. The last 2 times I went the waitress and waiter were slow and the 6oz steak is smaller than expected. My last visit was horrible one waiter said he will serve us then out of nowhere a different waitress comes takes our order and serves us. She did a bad job at it too, she had an attitude and when I would call for her attention it seemed as if she ignored me. I doubt she couldn’t hear me because she was serving the table right next to us. And when me and my girlfriend finished it took about an hour to get her attention to ask for the check. And our first waiter had to take the money to her because of how long she was taking. I don’t know what it was but today was not a good day for Applebee’s.
I have been here a few times. Sometimes theyre good, sometimes theyre not. Like today I sat at the bar and waited over 10 minutes for a drink. It shouldnt take that long. The girl took my order and didnt come back until 6 minutes after the fact. The bartenders are NOT attentive. Its rather annoying to wait 10 minutes for something that should take less than a minute. Im waiting on my bill for over 10 minutes now. 😒😒

The management was extremely helpful but our food took far to long to come to our table. We reserved a table for 15 people an hour in advance and then sat for an hour when we got there. Then once we were there our service continued to be slow. Thankfully the manager picked up the slack a bit and helped our server. We will only return on slower nights
The waitress disappeared after taking our orders for like 20 minutes. We didn’t get drinks or ANYTHING. Then came back and didn’t give a lemon with the salmon I ordered which was over cooked!!! My friend is so nice b/c he paid n tipped the sloppy waitress. The guys there part of the waitstaff only we’re concerned with laughing amongst themselves..
Update 2022 . Burgers are Great ( Used to be the worst I ever had ) Now they have the same burger & onion rings as IHOP .Still the worst drinks Anywhere , how do you have watery Beer ?
Food was cold and warm not hot. Manager was great. Service was not that great and they served people before me and my family that came after us at least 3 families that came behind us. I had to ask for our table to be cleaned. Thats why only 2 stars.
The appetizers were normal but the chicken pasta was strange, crunchy. I found something similar to glass-like/hard granules in it. Not really know what that was I didnt eat my food. I did not send it back because my company appeared to be enjoying their food, did not want to put a damper on their food experience. We all did not care for the service, she did not seem to have time for us, inattentive although restaurant was not that crowded, did not introduce herself, although cordial when taking orders. We specifically asked to be served by women only (religious), she sends a man to serve us after she took the order. Hungry and in a hurry, and not wanting to cause a scene because of Only one most gracious hostess, Yicelis, who was worth the visit, we remained silent. We all wished the tip went to her. We gave a little extra to her, but wished all the tip went to her, she was great, thats why there are any stars at all.
Our server was weird. Horrible customer service. She never introduced herself nor mention any specials. Seemed to be in a rush. After giving everyone their drinks, she suggests we all pick a drink we all would like so she can put it in a pitcher so that she wouldnt have to repeatedly carry drinks up the stairs. Why sit us upstairs anyway? The restaurant wasnt crowded. Then when we received the check, she tells us to use cash app. Im only giving 2 stars because we did receive our meal in a timely fashion. Other than that, just straight unprofessional.
Last experience last time I ever went it wasn’t even that busy waiter took forever to come took forever for our food to come then served my partner first while I just sat still waiting for my food ... PASTA! The pasta arrived COLD dry sauce I was behind upset asked for a new plate 15 mins later still no food my partner was already done I went to the manager who was also inattentive to the situation. Horrible service that night I walked out without paying haven’t eaten apple bees since !
It was an awful experience and the service was lousy!Very poor customer service and a lack of awareness in noticing an unsatisfied customer. I will never go back there again. They are so unprofessional. I sat at the bar and they never removed the empty plates and the drink glasses in front of me, that was left by the person who sat there before me. After a half hour of sitting there waiting to order something, they finally noticed me. I had to ask one of the bartenders to please remove the plates and glasses from in front of me and wipe off the counter top down, before I could placed my order. My food took another 45 minutes to arrive and the order was wrong. I left and No tip was given!!
Another fast food location that heavily relies on customer service, since the food is the same everywhere. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. But beware that when paying through that machine of theirs. They jack up the gratuity percentage, thinking you wont notice. You have been warned

The bartender had an attitude the entire time, from when my friends and I sat at the bar to when we got up to leave. She blatantly ignored us for about 30 minutes; her back was towards us to talk to a drunk woman with body implants. We had to ask two different employees to get her attention and then she took an hour to walk to the kitchen to get the bread sticks I ordered when I say down and ordered the drinks. An hour for bread sticks?? Im not sure who the manager was or why she was dressed unprofessionally, but there was one point we were at the bar for 20 minutes and nobody was there to take our order. Staffing needs improvement.
Ordered a grilled chicken and a classic combo to be picked up. The app said my order will be ready for pick up at 8:28pm . I arrived at 8:30 and the gentleman handling the pick up orders Marcus told me it was not ready. Then at 8:37 he tells me they just started making the order now. Super upset will never come back here. I don’t understand if I’m sitting there why make me sit there longer instead of telling the kitchen. I left at 8:55 for food that was suppose to be ready at 8:28. Terrible customer service
Don’t eat the breakfast pancakes. They are awful and taste like dish washing detergent. The chef did a poor job. For $15 dollars..... I should’ve taken my business to Macdonalds. Definitely not worth it.
When my friend and I got there, they made us wait a very long time before seating us. I do not understand why because when we looked around, the place was empty. We ordered our food and some drinks. I ordered a mango smoothie (which was good tbh). Usually drinks come quickly, but our drinks came after about 20 minutes of waiting. The food took 30 minutes. I needed a knife for my food but nobody ever brought me one. While my friend and I were still eating, the waitress came and gave us the check and expected us to pay right then and there. She told us she would be going upstairs and would come back. She never went upstairs, she just stood nearby staring at us for about 2 minutes before returning to the table expecting us to pay. BUT WE WERE STILL EATING. She then left and by the time we actually were done eating, she was nowhere in sight and we had to wait a long time before she came back.A lady and her daughter happened to be sitting next to us and we overheard them complaining about the terrible service too.

My first experience at this location. The steak could of been better and my appetizer was burnt. Our waitress attitude could of been a little better. My alcohol beverage wasnt made correctly. This is not GOING to stop me from going to Applebees. Might not return to this particular one.

This place has excellent service. I came here at night and the place was a little packed but was able to get seated within minutes. I was at table for 5 and we was seen almost immediately. The food was great and the people really nice too. They even sing happy birthday to the people that birthday was today. In the end the food was great, service was great and I had a good time here.
Love the atmosphere at Applebees. Reasonable prices and enjoy every year on Veterans Day that they acknowledge the Veterans.
The drinks were ok. The food was mediocre. Our waitress was sweet and very accommodating and there was a roach. But they gave us a dessert for the inconvenience. The manager was very apologetic about it, the roach looked drunk cause it was literally struggling walking from the bar to our table it was very comedic.
My food was over cook, have to send back plus not portions control, not enough for the price.

I gave them 2 stars because service is poor. Beautiful interior, but service🙄, waited 45 mins for my order which was scrambled eggs with cheese, bell peppers, no onions. When order arrived, there was so much onion. The place was partially empty when I arrived the other 2 customers were already eating, but still I had to wait 45 mins for eggs to be scrambled, I guess they were waiting for the chickens to hatch🤔
Wish I could have given them zero stars. Im currently sitting here having the salad I ordered which is good. But the service here is reprehensible. The waiter Carlos has had an attitude the entire time because we didnt like the fact that more than half the menu has a high salt content. Also seemed to be upset when I mentioned to him that the forks we received were dirty. Most restaurants that Ive been to the waiter/waitress would at least apologize and acknowledge it. He just grabbed them and walked away. Very rude. Walks by and checks on every other table but ours. Never coming back here again.
The food was amazing ....BUT the only thing that disturb me was the air conditioning was full blast making too cold while eating ....staff quite attentive & music on point ......Will recommend to all
STAY AWAY! The bathroom is FILTHY. I’ve seen subway carts cleaner than the women’s restroom. The food is mediocre. The drinks are watered down. & most of all the waiters are rude and dismissive. Good luck...
This place was horrible. The food was over cooked and dry, my table was dirty from the last customers. The dessert was just as bad. Blue ribbon brownie. My little brothers, mom, and me absolutely hated it. Absolutely never coming back.I give it 2 stars because the waiter was nice.
I disliked this visit because the drinks were very bad and because of the server. We ordered food for my baby that never came and when I said something about it, her response was that we didnt remind her. When the bill came, we handed her the card and asked her to just make sure his food wasnt there since we never got it.. to this she responded by slamming the check on the table and rudely saying THATS WHY YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT ITTT!! She just mistreated us throughout the whole dining experience
5 minute wait but service was super slow and they didnt make a few drinks I usually get basically at any restaurant which is why I only gave 4 stars. The place could use some decor upgrades too. Food was good
My husband, my son and I come by here like every two weeks or so. The food is pretty good, when they see us they always ask if wed like a high chair foe our son and the waiters are pretty friendly. Overall experience was good and would recommend especially for date night.
This place is horrible not only does it take long for your meal but if your steak is undercooked they will heat it up in the microwave along with everything else on your plate. The manager is no help it’s also dirty. On the bright side the waiters and waitresses have great hospitality. If I could give this under a zero I would. Never Again for just one quick bus ride or a $13 cab you can go to the one in Bronx terminal which is wonderful
The service was really bad , first a boy came to take me and my boyfriend’s order & we told them we werent ready yet . Then a girl came and took our order she was very rude and didn’t introduce herself. She came back w our drinks and my pepsi was watered down & sweet. When our apps came , they came w our entrees , the apps were cold.. & so was my food .. Their food gave me a MIGRAINE because the cheese in my entree was old.. I got the four cheese mac w tenders and lil bacon shreds. I recommend do not get that unless you wanna get sick.. & then I asked for a refill and she never came back with it , & finally she took a hour to bring back the bill. I was really disappointed, not going there in a long time.
Waiting time on sunday was 30 min, when they gave me the table I realized there was plenty tables available.Ordered food took more than 30 min to be served and when they brought it FOOD WAS COLD. I ordered 6 oz steak and fried shrimp, steak must be well done but almost burned and dry.I did not complain for everything, but tried to enjoy, just the cooking time, and they gave me the drinks as a courtesy, which is not the point to get FREE THINGS. If we go out to have dinner, we like the best.By the way The waiter Jerome was very polite and nicel
Pretty long wait everytime Ive been there and the staff is kinda lost. It was mothers day last time I was there so I guess its understandable but Ive had similar experiences in the past.We decided to wait by the bar until a table for 2 would be ready and the host kind of didnt want to do that which I thought was odd. She finally agreed to let us know when a table was ready but then we had issues finding out who our waitress was which was a whole other story.Moving on to the food... Dry over cooked burgers and salty fries. We got a side of Cesar salad which had way way too much dressing on it! But amazingly it was a special 2 for $20 deal so I guess we cant complain too much?Id only suggest going here for Drinks with your friends and ordering appetizers. Never bring a date or your parents lol.

This place is horrible. I love Applebees but the staff in this location are very unprofessional. I gave them my order and someone else came with 2 sodas (that I didnt want)and threw them on the table very fast like in a rush. I thought it was because of her work but she was just rushing to go talk to the other women working there. I just got up and left. Never going there again!
I am giving one star because there isn’t a lesser rating to give. I frequent this place for happy hour after a stressful night at work and the convenient distance from my apartment, but I regret it every time. The customer service here is beyond bad, it’s simply horrible. It seems as if the bartenders are sick and tired of their jobs and could care less about the service they give. They will ignore you, they will say they’re closed when they’re open, they will serve you as if you’re dining for free. Just very very bad service.Each of them should be retrained to salvage the reputation of the Applebee’s brand. 😪
Service could be improved especially for the price. It took forever to take my order my entrée came out before my appetizers. The food took so long I was able to go clothes shopping on Fordham Road to get underwear and shorts because my son had a accident come back and food still not there. However the food was good and the manager try to make up with offering free ice cream for my kids. He knew it was wrong because he was the one who gave me my entrée and then came back with my appetizer.

Worse place to order from take out wait is over 1hour and half ordered at 8.30pm and didnt get my order until 9.50 pm and when i did get my order nothing in the bag was right. They forgot a whole order. The waiters who seem to go home at there time distracts the waiter who is still on shift. To my opinion thats why the orders arent write. The atmosphere is the waiters are standing around talking to each other and there is people everywhere looking for help or to surve the food to the customer. The Manager claim,They where backup in orders. They Need MORE STAFF to Stop Standing around and talking About people and customers thats why NOTHING is getting done.
Today was humid, ABs air conditioner was broken. Therefore it was very warm inside the restaurant. I ordered a Guinness Stout. However, the drink was flat. I should have be offered a different beer. The waitress tried her best. She was the only one serving 9/10 tables.
Service here sucks, me and my daughter waited 20 minutes for them to take our drink order. For a appetizer we ordered the nachos and they bought us broken burned tortilla chips, the cheeseburger was hard, rib lets just disgusting. The waitress apologized but my daughter saw she fanned us off. I WILL NEVER eat at this establishment again
On August 5th, my daughter and I decided to eat at this particular establishment. First off, while our appetizer was delicious and fresh. Our main course was cold. To avoid any nastiness happening to my food, I didnt complain. What I will complain about is being stared at by the hostess and another employee while we ate. It was to the point where I had to stare back. She wasnt close enough for me to ask if there was a problem. This made my daughter and myself very uncomfortable. People of ANY ethnic background should not be made to feel like they are on display while simply having dinner. I made a previous compliant about this particular incident and it went unanswered. Long story short, we will NOT be eating here again. Wish I could give this establishment zero stars. They dont deserve not even one star.
They made us wait for the food so long that we no longer wanted the food. They always was screaming out who ordered what with other tables. I wont be back here that is for sure. And the server kept saying in sorry but we busy. That is not my concern and I believe then the supervisor should accommodate for the bad service. Nope didnt happen. The server was very nice and gave us great service. However, The wine was over priced.. We ordered all you can eat but the refills took too long and then when the refill came- it came w lots and lots of fries and 5 little shrimp.... really?
This location is so horrible! There were 4 of us and the waitress came to our table with 2 glasses of water, then disappeared for 17(I checked the time when she left & came back), when she came back, she said oh yea it is 4 of yall then brought 2 more waters 😳. She had an attitude with my friend for asking for shrimp in her pasta instead of chicken, the girl just had an attitude with any questions being asked to be honest. We waited over an hour for our food, when it finally arrived, it was cold. We just decided to pack our food to go after that.
Service Suck at this Location how they Didnt have the drinks Ready before the Food Came and Served Customers Glasses of Water. The Starter meal was Wrong filled with hot sauce okay for Adults but not for kids under 12. Adult Drinks are very over priced
This place is dirty!!!! The only thing that was good was the greeting at the door , menus where sticky we had to pull them apart! As well as my table just sticky, theres a wooden island that Divides the waiting area we sat behind that and that island was filthy and dusty ! I looked around and the majority of the seats are taped with scotch tape or some Brown tape bathrooms are horrible, My daughter ordered appetizers and they gave it to us and 3 separate plates! This place needs are huge cleaning and remodeling!! Asap!!!
Ive always loved Applebees, but this time it was pretty great. We accidentally went in during 1/2 apps. I ordered two apps and my friend got a 2-for-$20 deal for one meal to take home. Not only was the waitress (Im sorry I forgot your name!) super nice and accommodating (I have bad allergies), but when I dropped one of my honey BBQ chickens on my white dress, the manager personally came with unexpected seltzer water and sanitary wipes and told me this was the trick to take any stain out quickly. He even cleaned it for me and made sure to come back when the spot was dry to check it was ok. I dont know if it was because of this or if it was a mistake, but when we went to pay, we were only charged for my drink and my friends meals. The apps were listed under the 2-for-$20 even though we ordered two extra at half price.Either way, theyre quick, clean, and friendly. Never fails.
Slow service over a 2 hr await for bad food. I asked for medium well cook burger and it had blood in it. The waiter didnt fix their mistake. 2nd visited, the waiter Was never around and forgot our order twice, same wait time. The manager didnt apologies or try to make amends. I ask for me steak well done” and I could saw the red water coming out smh.. and then they charge me for 3 small shrimp like 5 dollars... never get my broccoli because the server thought I said I didn’t want it. It was ok... Nothing exciting blah food... Atmosphere relaxing. Steak was not great, tasted a bit old. Pasta sauce was nasty. Customer service was good.. Didnt eat all the food... Seating was worn and there was a hole with tape covering the booth seat. Not satisfied... 😕
I never write bad reviews but they need to do better! Last night I went to pick up a to go meal and placed an adidas shopping bag at the foot rest of the bar as I waited over an hour for my food to finally arrive. I accidentally left the bag there and called today as soon as they opened to make sure the bag was secure so I could pick it up. I was left on hold for more than 30 minites twice, when I finally went to the location/bar area I was informed that no bag was found at closing. No assistance in checking the security cameras or further help in my time of need. I won’t be coming to this location due to the lack of customer service. Disgusted and highly annoyed.
It was decent the place was clean people looked like they had fun I had a waiter with a little bit of an attitude but all in all was an ok experience. Other than that I find it cool that they doing seasonal drinks was fun to just see a random october drink with an eyeball gummy.
Horrible service. Food was left under the heatlamp for too long because the waitress forgot. Food was dry and not hot. Meat wasnt cooked to the temperature requested either. Need to review your receipt because they charge you for a Presto game even though you didnt ask for it. Then when we asked why the waitress was like oh then your total is $2 less. She didnt bring us a revised receipt until I literally asked for it. Overcharging customers.

Both times eating here they decided appetizers come after the entrees . Then got upset when I no longer wanted the appetizer which came out 10 minutes after the entree was served which the order was wrong as well. Super disappointed.
The food was OK...Not great. The waitress (Sojouner)was excellent, however. I had the House Salad and it was not fresh. The combo dinner was a mixed bag in that the steak I ordered medium well was actually medium raw. The dessert I requested with no caramel sauce; it came with caramel sauce.
I have sat at the bar and the bartender are cool , attentive ,but when it gets busy service goes down . But its understanble food took awhile and it wasnt busy when I ordered that day. Previous times have sat at the booths and havent had any issues ,like that sometimes there can be a pretty long wait depending on the date and time.

Me and my boyfriend recently had dinner here. I will say our waitress was very nice but my boyfriend ordered his steak medium well, it came back well well done (no typo). I should also mention when we sat down at the table, it was sticky wet. It was a turn off from the start.
Guess they were understaffed. Appetizer was nice, but the main courae came out cold after waiting 15mins apart from the appetizer. Service was less then 40% . Had to get up from my table and literally go to the kitchen to get served. Wont go to this Applebees on Fordham anymore.
Unfortunately we were sitted at a booth across from the bar and the people drinking were very loud and disruptive.There was a problem with a woman that was intoxicated upset and being problematic the manager was attending to the woman that was yelling in the dinning room disrupting everyones dinning experience upsetting and causing nervousness to my lady friend.The manager should have used better judgement dealing with the situation in a location other than the main dinning room.
I took my family to Applebees and I was seated very quickly. They have a pretty good menu and the food is great although the portions could be a little larger. The staff is extremely helpful and quick to serve.

I dont understand the sistem they have. you get to the restaurant. they make you wait more than 15 minutes but what I dont understand is that there was empty table everywhere. ok finally we have table . around 20 minutes for to bring the menu and take the order. 45 minutes later they bring our food. My meat was cool the fries was cool I could not eat.
The staff are very rude. I was given old food and nuts that i specifically told the waiter i was allergic too. The general manager is very disrespectful and a very angry person. He does not know how to speak respectfully to people, especially women. I personally wouldn’t recommend anybody going to this disgusting applebees. The experience was not worth it.
This rating does NOT go for the ENTIRE business establishment, but my boyfriend and I had horrible service. When we entered we stood by the podium waiting to be seated (there was no one at the podium). We stood for about 10 minutes waiting to be AT LEAST recognized and we were not. The only staff seen were staff at the bar which happened to be at the other end of the restaurant (passing various tables) so we decided to take the nearest seat. After waiting (impatiently of course) we politely informed a member of the bar of the situation (and unfortunately I did not get her name) but she was so sweet and apologizied (even though it was not her fault nor her job) and she did get an individual for us, but the individual (the hostess) didnt even introduce herself, she rudely came to the table and told us that what we did was not acceptable. If I could speak to the OWNER it would be a pleasure as ONE employee is NOT an accurate description of the business as a whole.
This Applebees is deceptively larger than it appears, there appears to be an upstairs, which Ive yet to explore. So I cant say how big this location is compared to...say Bay plazas Applebees. The ground floor is roomy, and its definitely big enough for groups of 20 people. The selections of food and drinks are good. The 2 for $10 or $20 are great deals, and I see that Applebees has expanded that by 2 for $25/$30. 4/5 stars because there should be at least 2 more selections in the 2 for $20. Otherwise I definitely recommend this place. The location is very good too.

Visited this Applebees last night for the first time and I must say I was happy that it existed where it did. It was a convenient restaurant for my first date with an absolutely lovely lady. The lay out was quite nice, down to the ability to dine on the outside.After that, it was all downhill. First, a male hostess. I wasnt feeling that. Second, the climate control or AC was not working up to par. So much that I had to ask to be moved to another table where I felt it was cooler...it really wasnt. Third, the wait for a waitress/waiter was entirely too long and the restaurant wasnt even full. I had to flag a waitress down to take our order after sitting there for over 15min. After which we were handle with a professionalism on the waitress part but the wait for the food was another long time. Which I couldnt understand because the place wasnt to capacity. Once our meal came, my dates meal was burnt and the riblets had minimum of meat on the bone. I immediately complained and was rewarded with returning that meal and ordering another. The wait for that meal was insurmountable. Oh yeah, the utensils were dirty and we ate with plastic utensils.I like Applebees, I visited many of them and have had decent experiences. This was by far the worst experience and I do not see myself going back there for a quite some time.
Front door staff did not even greet and smile which is what every employee is supposed to do at all restaurants. I got inside the restautang and waited for them to ask how many people or to at least to wait for our tables , but that didn’t happened at all . I sat and waited until she just said “ you all ready?” With an attitude . The seats were wet and the table dirty. Also , there was one staff holding a Corona beer and drinking it .
The food wasnt so bad except the chicken quesadillas. They didnt have chicken it was all cheese. The service staff sucked. Service to me is everything and if that sucks your entire restaurant does too. They were joking around and had easily bad attitudes from the minute we walked in until we got out.
My family and I came to eat here last night and had enough we came other times but every time it’s a problem . They either don’t inform you when their missing something from your order or don’t take the order well . Last night was the last straw. We waited one hour for our food and still didn’t get served . The waitress said there was no wanton tacos . Another half hour later that they had no steak . No steak ? Why didn’t they inform us before . My kids were bored and falling asleep from the wait so we got up and left and told the manager how unacceptable that was. Everyone was getting their food meanwhile we had to play the waiting game ! No way sorry Applebee’s please do better . Won’t bother coming here
Once getting there we waiting almost 2 hours before we got seated then once we got to sit at a table things got a little bit better we had to wait another 20 minutes to eat though but after that I enjoyed the food the service was excellent from the server all and all the dinner was nice
Terrible Place. Waited 20 minutes to get seated even though the place was empty. Waited another 10 minutes for our waiter to even introduce himself. We ordered salads but ended up only paying for the app as it takes them longer than 30 minutes to make two salads. The waiter also never place forks or napkins on our table and forgot our order once.
I give you 3 stars which is growth in my book base of my first 2 visits, which were horrible but I must say when I go to lunch at this location with my friend,service isnt too bad but thats because she lets them know were on limited time. My first experience I said to myself that this was the worst location Ive been too. Maybe some improvements were made or lunch is just the best time to come.... we shall find out if improvements continues or its just a phase

The waitress was very nice, however when I specified that I don;t eat pork and she informed the sandwich I wanted had pork in it but did not inform me the pasta I wanted had pork. I asked for the pasta dish minus the pork and it was delicious. i think Apple bees need to have a more detailed descriptions of there dishes.
First time at this location. Server was unfriendly, didnt mention specials until after apps were ordered and served. 2 sandwiches were unavailable so order clubhouse grille. I ordered 5 apps and 3 main courses plus 1 to-go. Appetizers were ok. 2 main courses came out and server said enjoy. 5 mins later or so...came back and said can i get anything else? And i said my sandwich. Finally came out 5 minutes later and didnt bring sweet potato fries. I couldnt eat inside so i took to go. Im in Hospitality industry and this service was TERRIBLE.
It was packed. Long time to be seated. When we order the food, the appetizer came with the principal plate. Cold tilapia, no flavor for the vegetables. The waiter never set a table. We had to ask for the fork and knife. The piña colada, was frozen, that you need to wait de defrosted to drink, Zip by zip ;(A romantic night for me and my hubby become a really bad experience. ☹👎
I was very excited about this apple bee opening up next to my house. However, me and my girlfriend went to visit. Once we went inside the hostess was going to sit us down in a booth when she noticed it was not clean she was not going to sit us there but upon looking around and not seeing an empty table she continued to sit us down and did not clean this table AT ALL. Then we waited for 10 minutes for the waiter to come to introduce himself in a very poor way. We had to repeat our order to him 3 times and after that he got us water in a dirty cup. We ended waiting for about half an hour for our food to come but did not even taste like Applebees food but tasted like a knockoff. We have been to a few Applebees and this one is the worst one we have been to for every reason from customer service to the food being horrible and the dishes being brought back out to us dirty.

Disgusting food and terrible service . Host didnt even take our name down. Our server never came back to offer a beverage . Basically waited 20 minutes at the table and a waiter never showed up. One of my favorite places to go. On my first trip there a family walked out after having a nice meal and did not pay and the service wasnt that great. So we decided to go back a 2nd time and the service was way worse than it was the 1st time. The drinks tasted like watered down kool aid and the food was cold by time we got it.
They had no baby back ribs, no garlic mashed, no lemonade for the drinks and to boot the server was nasty and rude. Walked up took our order and didnt offer drinks. We Ordered buffalo wings and they brought back cold boneless chicken with celery that looked like it was recycled. Dont get me started on the bath room. All i can say is bring your own soap and hand towels. Overall, a horrible place to eat. Dont do it to yourself.
Me and my Fiance came in to the Fordham Road AppleBeess location to enjoy a nice evening. The wait staff was unprofessional having personal conversations on the side rather than waiting on customers We werent given water or utensils for our table until at least 20 minutes after sitting in the table, the food we wanted was not available. The waitress didnt supply us with eating utensils and there was a fifteen minute wait for our utensils and our bill and change. The staff at the Fordham Road location needs more training. Being understaffed or a new employee is no excuse for poor customer service.
We went with a party of 5. The hostess simply asked us to sit and wait and didnt even ask for a name or provide an sstimated wait time. I asked about 15 minutes after waiting how much longer we’d have to wait. Her reply was an extra 15 minutes. If you have customers walking into a retaurant and the wait time exceeds 5 minutes the least they should do is make the customer aware of that. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever recieved at any restaurant. Do not recommend.
Waitress was awesome, very kind, and sweet but there are no ribs and it takes 3 hrs to make so why tf do they have it on the menu.. Didnt even eat here just having some drinks... Dallas Texas or tgif here I come

Horrible experience. Since we got inside it was awful, the front desk that they have for the hostes it’s full of trash and visible to the client. The manager doesn’t even know what he’s doing. The beer that I asked for tasted like it got hot cold and hot, couldn’t drink it. This Applebee’s it’s placed in a great spot, they should take care of this details and pay more attention to this kind of stuff that any client could look at. The AC also doesn’t work.
I enjoyed the food and the wait for the food wasnt long. It was lunch time and I got a table right away. I would definitely go again if in the area. Lunch prices are reasonable.
They were beyond unprofessional! Manager included. Our food was over cooked. My steak was dry as hell. Baked potato was half cooked my daughter french fries were dried out like they had been baked and fried to the max.
The service at this place is horrible. The staff is rude and nasty. The waitress at the entrance skips people if she knows the people coming in. I had a lil confrontation with her because I dont think is was right and after that in retaliation they made me wait more than 25 minutes to take my order. I do not recommend this place at all

2022-01-23The steak here is extra small, I asked for my steak medium it came out well done. I did not send it back because I did not want them to throw it in the trash. It wasnt that bad just not what I asked for. My 8oz looked like a 3 oz steak.Mash Potatoes was goodThe price was to much for a small steak and two small sides.The service was okThis is a good place for drinks and appetizers.

2022-06-27They have a chicken Caesar salad that I enjoy. I get it crunchy. The fish is always usually overcooked. The drinks are watered down a whole half a cup of ice. Why?! My server was great. I liked her. The manager was unbelievably lazy. I had a problem with my drink and sent my drink back three times and then the waitress said she would get the manager. I saw her have a conversation with him and he refused to come to the table. She even got behind the bar herself and finally made me a great drink. I dont know who the bartender is but he is horrible. I also noticed that he was not wearing correct PPE to be handling the fruits and all the other things that go on behind a bar. The location is the best part of this Applebees do not order any drinks. You will waste your money. You will not like them. Food is overcooked often and like all Applebees portions are small. There was also a shouting match between customers when we were waiting to be seated because the two women at the front were telling people to sit and wait to be seated once booths opened but they didnt actually ask anyone for their names. Even actually ignoring the customer saying do you want my name so they did not know the correct order to see who would get served first. This led to dishonesty with people saying they were here before others, but since there was no actual proof they actually let the customers have an argument about something that shouldnt have occurred. If they had just did the professional thing like many restaurants do and take a name and as names are called people know their order.

2022-03-08The atmosphere was pleasant. The wait time was reasonable. The food was good. The only issue was the wait time it took to receive the bill but the waitress was extremely nice. I would definitely visit this particular restaurant again.

2022-06-08This happened on 06/07. Asked for Parmesan sauce and shrimp on both the steaks and salmons and was up charged for it but wasn’t presented. The steak was so well done I could barely pull my fork out and the potatoes were cold as well as the broccoli was cold hence the cheese barely melted. We tried to get the MOD attention but he walked past up several times and kept saying he was coming. We waited and finally got him to come but had he came the first ten minutes we tried to get him my plate could have been done over but after waiting so long I didn’t even get to enjoy lunch with my husband before he went to work. This was such poor service and we frequent this location often because it’s close by and we love the outside area.

2022-03-08I ordered a three cheese pasta no cheese at all just watery milk . Also they are cheap with the ingredients and portion. They took a piece of the chicken thinking that people will not notice. I had order before and experienced they same thing with other dishes. Avoid this Applebees.

2019-08-11Clean, organized and welll decorated. Simple layout, and all the usual elements you find at most applebees. Food was consistently good, and speed was reasonavle. I found the service to be the weak link. There was no friendly smile, greetings and we did not feel very welcomed. This is probably a training issue, as the wait staff seemed to know what they were doing. All in all, service can, and should improve... the food will consistently be good.

2019-10-14This particular location is pretty big and it is a duplex with a Bar on the main floor, a Mini Bar up on the second and outdoor seating so when the season or weather is right. The place is clean, organized, and is decorated with lots of Bronx History and Sports memorbilia with TVs covering every sports channels along the walls but I noticed recently a few booths had their upholsteries torned, ripped, and taped up in some areas. I hope they get it fixed up. The service here is good, the waiters and waitresses are on point and very tentive to meet your wants and needs with a positive attitude. Food arrives at a fairly quick time, and food and drinks have been great with every visit so far. No complaints there. This locations does not have its own parking lot, the restrokms are roomy and clean, they also do take outs. I have visited this location several times and will continue to visit this location as it is one of the best in the Bronx. Thanks and Enjoy.
