Just wanna say how impressed we were with this place. The waitress, Ashley, and our bartender were top notch. Its a small place and gets busy quick, but for sure is worth it. Call ahead, book a spot. Dont go when youre looking to rush in and rush out. Enjoy the small place, small plates with great taste.
Every time I’ve been to Bar Petite I’ve had a fantastic experience. John, the owner, is welcoming and not overbearing. He ensures you are comfortable and keeps an eye on your needs. The cocktails are delicious, and if you’re not feeling one of the different cocktails on the menu, you can ask for a surprise. The bartender asked what my preferences and typical drinks were and supplied an amazingly refreshing concoction.Edgar, the head chef, provides consistently delicious food in the form of small plates (with the exception of a couple entree portions). My favorites include the grilled octopus, bacon wrapped apricots, sashimi tacos, and Spanish flatbread. The new beef ravioli are a must try!For anyone expecting the old wine bar and wine selection of Bin 56, this could not be further from what John has created in the cocktail lounge that is now Bar Petite. He has breathed new life into previously tired space.
Its very loud, but this successor to Bin 56 is a nice additional to the Huntington restaurant scene. The wine list is not nearly as extensive as Bin 56s and the Pinot Noir by the glass was awful. The vegetable flatbread was very good, as was the grilled octopus. The tuna tacos lacked punch and were skimpy on the tuna. The avocados in the tuna/avocado salad were hard. We may give this place another shot. Was good but not great. Great service, though.
Love this place. Just moved into the area and was looking for a low key spot with small eats then I found John. He runs this place with style and class. if your looking for some eats (food is absolutely amazing btw...quality not quantity) then youll find this place a hidden gem in the village.
Went to Bar Petite on a Thursday night. It filled up. Happy that some of the food was similar to Bin 56- since they kept my favorites- like the cocas flat bread that is now called. Spanish pizza. They also have Brie, fig jam and toasted baguette slices as well as lobster ravioli. There is a different but good vibe at Bar Petite with cocktails and Martinis. Really wanted my fav Malbec wine that they used to serve- Haicienda- but they didn’t have it. They did have other wines available. My Pinot Noir had not been chilled unfortunately but my friend’s white wine was chilled. Like the lower seating rather than the taller tables. Nice paint job. Still my fav place to drink and eat.

2021-11-16I loved everything about this place. The food was delicious. We tried the rice balls and the zucchini flowers and nothing beats a perfectly cooked burger. The pretzel bun was a nice twist. The happy hour drink prices were also a pleasant surprise. It was nice to hear live music. The service was spot on - Tammy was awesome. I can’t wait to go back and will be recommending this place to everyone. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed.

2020-10-18This place is really small but has so much heart. Everything on the menu is delicious. Then add an amazing list of cocktails..various flavored martinis that no one can match with a bartender (Eric) that truly knows what hes doing and he does it with a smile..The owner John is such a gentleman, he makes sure you feel welcome and Ashley is a doll. This place is truly a gem..live music nightly and outdoor tables. Love love love this hidden gem!

2021-03-28This little place is a nice gem up in Huntington. Very tiny little place, but the tapas were delicious. Unfortunately they had their liquor license taken away because of COVID issues, but they are working to get that back. Hopefully they get it back soon because I will be returning. Still worth going to for the food!

2019-12-05A fantastic place for great drinks and even better food! John, the owner, is knowledgeable and attentive. The chef is amazing. The small plates are delicious and unique! The nights with live music can be especially lively for a petite place! Otherwise, it is an upscale place that treats you like a long lost friend!

2020-07-04Bar Petite is a newer small gem among the eating and drinking establishments in Huntington. Warm intimate feeling. They serve the best bourbon old fashioned. And I sample them everywhere, from New York, to Chicago, Florida, and California. Very delicious eclectic menu. Owner John and his staff are very warm courteous and knowledgeable. Singer guitar players perform all the new and old songs. My fiance and I visit there again and again. I recommend Bar Petite to all
