This is an amazing place! The store is always so clean and they have been a pleasure to work with through this pandemic taking all necessary precautions! Andrew the owner is a great guy! Not to mention the food is always so fresh!
This place is literally disgusting. When I walked in I got attacked by a swarm of flies, not to mention the horrendous stench that was coming from the kitchen, I should’ve just walked out. Ended up getting worms from the rotten food and in the hospital for 3 months now. 0/10 I would rather vomit out my own lungs then ever eat here again.
I had them cater a BQ at my home excellent service they brought everything so I could enjoy my company best ever meats lobster even tuna . Grill man cooked to perfection, bartender , waitress all first class. They set up & cleaned up after wonderfully . Will use them again & recommend to all who appreciates quality👍👍👍
We ordered a platter of wraps and a salad for a family brunch. Everything was presented beautfully. The food was fresh and delicious. The people were lovely and very nice. I would definitely go back again.
It was nasty and wasnt real Italian cuisine. When I walked in it had a certain stink as well. Stop taking down my comments because you arent satisfied with your own restaurant and stop calling me a terrerist because it is quite disrespectful considering I spent my hard earned money on your family-owend SOGGY FOOD!
Produce amazing. But Very Very expensive. 11$for a container of blueberries? Credit card convenience fee? How is that convenient? used debt card yet charged for credit card. 2.26$ Sandwiches really good. Overall be prepared to pay alot for produce buy elsewhere.
After recently moving to this neighborhood I noticed this place and decided to give it a try and after having two paninis and a sandwich (americano and sante) plus a salad I was very pleased with the quality of the meat and the freshness of ingredients, especially the mozzarella cheese which literally melted in my mouth and complemented the panini nicely. The prices are on the higher side but its understandable considering the high quality of ingredients and attention to detail. Will definitely be coming back.
Basil & Prime is a GEM! There is a variety of high quality meats, prepared foods, Italian goodies and so much more. The customer service is top notch. Andrew and his staff are highly professional, experienced and personable. They have an excellent catering menu and aim to please the customer. It is a clean and beautifully decorated store and I highly recommend it.
Outstanding from a catering perspective with Trish..and had to bring home lunch and dinner too..which was phenomenal! The Grace and Siciliano paninis were over the Top !!🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖

I got sick from eating their meat. Someone that worked there told me that they use red food coloring to make their meat look fresh but its really old. Will be reporting them to the health department.
We order from here at least 1 time per week for office lunches, and everytime without fail there is a mistake, order is taken properly as it is correct on bill, but kitchen is a mess!! ordered turkey got ham, ordered avocado got nothing-multiple times, dressing on sandwitches never on the sandwich! This is out of convenience of location, but its enough now, not worth the agrevation for a half decent lunch.
Food is absolutely delicious, will definitely be a returning customer. Friendly and helpful staff with a very nice selection. Lunch menu has really great options and pretty affordable prices.
We used Basil & Prime for our wedding catering. Andrew and the team I cannot say enough about the service, the care and the food we received. From day one, Andrew went above and beyond meeting my mother and I at the venue. My husband and I were so happy with the food- filet mignon, egg plant tower, etc.. I wish I could give more than five stars to Basil and Prime. If you want the best food for a wedding- go to Basil and Prime as your caterer!!!!!! I love them!!!!!
Found raw meat in my wrap. Cheese had a weird taste and smell. My daughter have severe stomach ache after eating here. Would not recommend at all. Also quality and service was pretty bad
First time since new ownership. Excellent service, nice people and clean. They do breakfast which is a plus. The prepared foods looked fresh and the eggplant parmigiana is excellent. Recommend to all
I drove by today a little after 6pm and was very happy to see they were still taking in customers. A big sign said they had just open this past Wednesday and I was excited to see what was inside for what initially appeared to be a nice addition to the area.Upon entering, I was presently surprised by the large selection of freshly prepared food and fresh meats. This clean and nicely layed out store was accompanied by multiple very friendly staff asking how they could help and then being even more gracious when I placed my order. I ended up buying a pound of Lobster Salad, Artichoke Salad, Sliced Mangos, Pork Kabobs, Beef Pinwheels and a few jars of specialty pickles, asparagus and Chimmichuri sauce. A nice man (sorry Im bad with names) shook my hand and thanked me for stopping in as I was leaving - a nice touch to accompany the rest of my nice but brief shopping experience.To quickly comment on the food, it has been amazing so far - the very fresh and perfectly prepared lobster salad, artichoke salad and sliced mangos are gone and I look forward to the pork and beef tomorrow. My expectations for tomorrows meals are very high given what I have tasted today.Ill be back in the near future with more time to explore the various options available.Do yourself a favor and stop in to take a peek. My only concern at the moment is that Ill be limited to a weekend customer as I think they close at 7 on the weekdays - unfortunately a little too early after my commute home from work! I however am already looking forward to my next visit.
Its ok nothing over the top. 3 stars only because me and my co workers have ordered sandwiches a few times and for some reason they dont follow/give you what you wanted for example I ordered turkey and get ham. About 5 of my co workers have also experienced the same.
Nice selection of meats. Took a few pieces home and put them on the grill. Very tasty. Higher-priced but worth the money. Had a good variety of prepared food.

Every party or function that Ive been to where they are catering, has been an absolute success. Friends and family cant stop raving about how amazing their quality is. 2021-11-13The products are high quality which justifies their elevated prices, however there are some strange extra charges like a “credit card conversion fee” that I haven’t experienced elsewhere. Overall, the food is good.

2020-10-27I have been to many food establishments but this is a one stop shop that rivals them all. I was blown away with the variety of meat in the butcher department all summer long. My wife & friends love the sandwiches too. I just had the stuffed pork chops and was so impressed that I called the store. If you haven’t visited them yet please take my word for it stop in for a 5 star meal as well as great service!

2021-08-05Would give it a zero if I could. I tried the pasta and steak it was so disappointing. Andrew and the staff were not welcoming when I arrived. I waited for 30 minutes, and it just wasnt a good impression overall. Not a good choice for authentic Italian food. Anyone with more than one star was paid for sure or is a friend of theirs.

2021-06-13By far, the best grocery in NYS. I love the meat and produce here. The pasta is phenomenal as well and they even make their own sauce for you to purchase. The freshest ingredients to any meal you want to make. I shop here at least twice a month. And I come all the way from Bellerose!

2021-03-22Recently visited basil and prime, as always the store is very clean. We love getting our chicken to make cutlets from here. Can’t wait till the lobster rolls are back! Definitely worth the visit.
