I crashed my white Range Rover into the jcpennys entrance because I was so exited to see another store closing here!! Yay! Not to mention all that’s here now is buckets collecting water. Make this a Land Rover dealership, I need an oil change and my deployable running board is stuck down.
Great place to get laps in, but roof is STILL not repaired and you have to walk around LOTS of buckets and wet areas and deal with the musty smell in the concourse. Lacks good shopping (except for JCPenny, which may be closing at some point) and it doesnt have very good restaurant options. Maybe this place will thrive again one day, but it hasnt been yet and will not be ANY time soon.
What ever happened to that money that was going to renovating the mall? This place just becomes more and more dilapidated. Its a relic now and only worth a quick walk through. The musty smell of black mold fills the malls walking areas.
The only thing this place looks like it would be good for us as a set for a horror movie, because it’s a total ghost town. Run-down, smelly, buckets everywhere because the roof apparently leaks, but most of all there just aren’t any stores. Who ever heard of a mall without stores?
This mall has been under maintained for 10+ years. The main mall space is not a welcoming place. The individual stores within this mall are kept in good shape for the very few that still are here. Im still waiting and hoping to see what will be done with this large underutilized space in the middle of the city.
This place should be torn down. It is dated and the smell of mold is disgusting! It is an eyesore, both inside and outside. The inside is a ghost town for business, and anyone you see inside is probably just walking for exercise. Between the leaky roof, watch out for the buckets everywhere, and the obvious mold problem, it is a safety and health concern.The city really dropped the ball with the upkeep of this property. So sad they ripped down the old downtown storefronts to put up this hideous monstrosity! Now it is very challenging for downtown revitalization.
If it werent for the dentist, jc penny, and city hall...I wouldnt step foot inside. No more restaurants. Gentleman Jims is long gone,as is the short stop and any interesting shops. Its just dead space
This place has reminds me of what I thought the soviet union must have been like in the 60s&70s. Clinging to pseudo-wealth of a bygone era, while in reality a dilapidated cost-more-to-fix than it would ever be worth.Evidence of government planning run amuck.
Dentist in here. Genesee dental is great! The city owned parts of the building are, in general, trash. The city should rip it down and build a strip mall to revitalize the area.
This mall is about 70% unoccupied and rather dismal; the roof leaks and there are buckets EVERYWHERE. The tenants that are here are nice -- dont hold their surroundings against them!

Not like it use to be . I go to the dentist there . Nothing in there to even have an outing with family or friends pretty much nothing to see or do . All the places have outside doors to the places . if you have to go inside for the few places inside dont trip over all the water buckets

This place just needs to be knocked down at this point. The fact that theres buckets everywhere catching leaks has got to be violating safety and health laws. Just do us all a favor and demolish it and put something useful there.
I wouldnt call it a mall its a ton of empty storefronts and a few doctors offices rather than spent a $1 million to cover the outside with brick and add a facade they should have just bulldozed it it woukd serve this crappy town better as a parking lot..and my name is Josh not sure why its showing up as kathryn but none the less the building is a disgrace..not to mention buckets everywhere to catch all the leaks in the roof and ropes around all the broken floor tiles
It was never a top notch mall, but having not been in it for about 20 years, I was shocked at how terrible it has become. Batavia needs to tear it down, since theres only 2-3 stores left inside the actual mall. Terrible musty, moldy smell throughout the place.
Theres nothing here. Its a ghost mall with 5 retail stores still open. JCPENNEY, daycare, gift shop, tire store and a book/reading place. The City Mall is also located here but doesnt seem to have much activity. I saw a total of 5 customers wandering the empty halls.

This place in my opinion was never really that great but it has definitely gone downhill since I was a kid. Other than doctors offices and the JCPenneys, its terrible.

Its got doctors offices a small JCPenneys small movie theater a few other stores but most spaces are available and empty like the mall is being slowly abandoned overtime

2022-04-15Such a quaint lil mall, such a beautiful area, we visited the Hawaiian restaurant and strongly suggest it! Absolutely precious! Mai tai drinks were amazing and the seafood was THE BEST we have had in this area!

2020-12-09I dislike having to come here and only go inside when necessary as my childrens doctors and dentist offices are located here. Theres always water leaking, buckets all over the place, and the smell of mold and mildew is just unbelievable.

2020-09-26This a little box stores along with my dentist. Its called Genesee Dentistry they work very quickly very polite professional manners. Not that I like going to the dentist, but they do make it Pleasant enough so that you can go there.They do offer sedation but you will end up paying for that out of pocket wish I would have had the money I would have done that but all in all it wasnt a bad experience
