Awesome traditional pizza shop. Great deals for huge slices. Less than $7 for two massive slices and a drink.
First time here in batavia. Pizza wasnt badly priced. 40 wings and a sheet pizza w/pop for $60 fed a family of 4 adults & 1 kid with a ton left over. Pizza was pretty average (maybe a little more sauce next time). The honey BBQ wings were bomb. The ladys at the restaurant were so polite and courtesy they even helped me carry everything outside. First experience and not to shabby.
Had a party there and didn’t realize how ordering works that you can’t get family deals. Wasn’t to happy on things that weren’t told to us before we went/booked.
Their pizza slices are huge!!! Staff is nice and you get your food fast!
Took the family for dinner...easiest thing to do when everyone is in the mood for something different! Everything was great! Our server was so nice and put up with our kids changing their drink orders and laughed with us!! The prices are average.
Ever since new management bought the pizza place, I cant stress enough how great every item is on their menu. Delivery is quick and what you order is what you get ALWAYS. So very happy. You can smell the old burned fryer oil and the pizza is sickly sweet. Disgusting is the kindest word I can think of.

Always stop here to eat when we are in the area. Pizza is fantastic, staff is always friendly and attentive to their customers, and the rest of their menu is also great value! Big open restaurant, space to spread out and be away from others. Always a pleasure to visit, thank you!
Went for mothers day buffet, they had outside seating and inside as well. The outside seating was all closed in with tent like material. The air was blowing in at the bottom. They had the big outside heaters, however they didnt bother to turn it on so my food was cold before I was done eating it. Also I was shivering. As per the food they dont serve much when you hold the plate out for them. Which of course you can go back up. But how many times will one want to go up?... It might just be me but when you pay that kinda money to eat, I would expect to get full. You got a mini salad with almost nothing to it. Ziti, fettuccine, Mac n cheese (these all tasted good fettuccine had the most flavor) , sausage and potatoes for a dish, meetBalls, 2 different kids of boneless wings (way over cooked) and a few different kinds of pizza. For 4 of us as a family, our total came to 64 and change with drinks. I dont think it was worth that price.

Was told 35 minutes for the order to be ready. Got there at about 37 minutes and pizza and stromboli were boxed and on top of the oven but the rest of the order was being worked on. Took an additional 20 minutes to put together a Gnochi dinner with side salad and a garden salad. Really poor timing of putting the order together and by the time we got to eat, about 10 minutes later at the hotel all the hot food was cold. Had at least 6 people in the kitchen and didnt seem busy to me at 7:30 PM on a Wednesday but cant say for sure. We were in the area and it was recommended by the clerk at our hotel. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not be back. Very disappointing.
Love this place. The food is incredible. Its NOT pre-made. You can see them flipping the dough and making your food. The food is flavorful and pure heaven to eat. The staff is friendly, helpful and courteous. We go here whenever we get a chance.
I dont know how I went two years working in Batavia before I tried their pizza for the first time! The slices are huge! I had to force myself to eat both of time. The price is great and I have to say the best pizza I ever had!
Cousins turned us on to this place.Great place to catch up with family or friends.The food is very good and server named Ryan made us all feel like we were visiting Gramma.She would be like 140 by now so we didnt even consider inviting her.
What a racket! We went today for the mothers day buffet. We had a reservation well before closing and didnt get seated for a while. I understand it was busy so we didnt mind but then the actual buffet itself was ridiculous! The salad was little bowls, pre dressed, about 1/4 of lettuce in each. There were NO desserts, none. I went up 4 times to check. There was literally NO sauce on the pasta and nothing on the Mac and cheese. It was truly unbelievable. I actually asked for a cup of sauce because I could not enjoy any of the pasta, completely flavorless. Then, they started breaking the buffet down at 7:45.. Even though they took reservations right up until 730. I understand things are different than they have been in the past but Ive not felt this screwed over by a business in Batavia, ever. What a waste of money. Luckily, Daves was open so we could go get dessert from from a place in town that gives you something with the money! Seriously disappointed and wont spend another dollar there.
Friendly enough, and accommodated our group easily. Nice facility, but. 1) the food for 7 did not come out together. Hard to understand given it was 3 easy hot subs and pizza. Probably 10 minutes apart.2) the fries, which to their credit came in a REAL portion size, were bland and tasteless 3) as were the subs. A lot of delicious meat but overall bland again and if I lived in Batavia they would not be on my list for a sub.
So I ordered off of the slice app around 8:15pm and it was estimated delivery by 9pm and I called around 9:25 wondering where it was and she said he was out with it and would be delivered shortly. When I got it the wings were stale and cold like they have been sitting out all day and like no sauce was on them. I also ordered a root beer and got a Coca Cola (not as big of a deal as the wings) but still not happy with the wait and what I was brought. Their wings used to be so good and now they’re mediocre. The worst wings I’ve ever had.
Couldn’t even make it into the building. Above the building is a very discriminating image of a black man that made me feel extremely uncomfortable stepping into this place of business. That along the multitude of blue lives matter flags/supporters this place made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable.
Sorry to say this was on my bucket list. Finally stopped in for supper. Was seated outside and waited for twenty minutes before someone came and asked if anyone had waited on us, I said no waitress apologized and took our order and said she would have the manager take something off our bill, it wasn’t until there was an accident in the road In front of the restaurant that waitresses showed up to not waite on their customers but to see the action out in the road. Two ladies that appeared to be the hostesses were busy following each other around and hardly greeting customers. Sorry but should have gone to our first choice TULLYS. And PS nothing was mentioned again about “taking something off our bill”
Honestly not happy to write this review as we have eaten here for years and I like to support local businesses especially ones with gluten free options. But the last few times we have ordered the service has gotten consistently worse and then we ended up with food arriving 2-3 hours after being ordered without being warned it would take that long and the food being very cold and not appetizing at all. (cold and hard fries, cold soggy wings, cold soggy pizza or cold overcooked pizza, etc.) at one point we were given a credit because of these issues and when we tried ordering again the service was the same and the food was just as cold and disappointing. I hope that this is a phase and the restaurant goes back to normal eventually as I know times are hard, but I dont see us ordering from them again because we feel like we are throwing away our money since the food keeps being cold and not fresh and the customer service is unsatisfactory and not entirely truthful about expectations and arrival times. I wouldnt even mind waiting a long time for food sometimes if they were upfront about wait times and if the food arrived fresh and hot. But this is just not the case and they have lost us as customers.
We ordered a pepperoni pizza from Batavias Original for the first time ever last night on the Slice app. We were given an hour delivery wait time. After an hour an a half, the app support called the shop for us to see what the status was. They said they were busy, our pizza hadnt been made yet but they promised it was the next to go and it would be here in 15-20 minutes. After 40 more minutes, I contacted again and the app support promised it would be 5 more minutes. In the end, I ordered one pizza at 6:33p.m. and received a cold rubbery pizza at 9:10p.m. Not super impressed.

Chicken wings were average. Pizza was less than average but the loaded garlic knots were fantastic! Wait staff was great. Kitchen was slow and messing up a lot of orders. We heard several other tables getting food taken off their bills. Our pizza came out wrong and then took so long to be remade we asked for it to go. I still tipped the waiter well, it wasnt his fault.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We chose Batavias Original randomly from a Google search & couldnt have been more pleased with our choice. Our waitress, Riley, was friendly & attentive. Our food came out hot, fresh & in a timely manner. We did have a small wait, but nothing unexpected as we were there on a Friday night for dinner. We started with the Chicken Wing Dip which was absolutely delicious. We also got the 2 for $22 deal - 2 personal pizzas, 10 wings, 2 drinks. Everything about the pizza was top notch, but our favorite by far was the wings. We went with Bees Knees sauce & asked for them crispy. They were done perfectly & had just the right amount of sweet & spicy. We will definitely be back next time we are passing through.
Well we haven’t been there in a while so we decided to give it a shot we went in were seated outside no waiter or waitress came for about 20 minutes then she finally came and took our order apologized for the wait said it wasn’t right that we waited so long that she would talk to the manager and give us a discount came time for the bill and there was no discount would not go back again there wasn’t a staff shortage
$31.00 for small pizza and single wings. Pizza was good tho the wings were so hard and over cooked. Couldnt eat them. Such a disappointment from when they first reopened. Never again.
There pizza is crust is unique, crisp crust and warm and soft inside.. Sauce , cheese and pepperoni all just right.. Awesome place to sit down with the family and enjoy great food.
Good food. Although, party of four with all different orders and one order was delivered 10 minutes before the others. Should have gotten everything as a party. And the dining room was a little drafty. But very nice employees.
Decided to order delivery; a bucket of wings, some pizza, and a couple other things last week and we only got half of our wings, had to call the restaurant to get the other half brought to us, which was a tad on the annoying side. Weve had a few other issues in the past with Batavias Original, but its pretty much just youre typical pizza place.
Ive lost track of how many times we have tried to give this place another chance. Tonight we waited over 2 hours for our food. One order was shorted wings and they were cold. They brought more, but didnt even bother to put any sauce on them. The waitress was very frazzled, kept forgetting what we asked for. Im guessing she was new and thats not her fault, it just added to the frustration. Weve tried several times to like this place, but we always end up literally waiting hours for our food, and its either wrong, cold or just gross. Sorry BO, but we will not be returning in hopes of better service. There has been one too many maybe next time.
Ordered a pizza and two dozen wings to be delivered was told an hour for delivery. An hour and a half later I called just to check the status I was told the pizza was just coming out of the oven after almost 3 hours of waiting .I called again and the pizza got delivered.It was cold the wings were mildly warm ..the pizza in the center is still raw so it couldMy even be eaten.The good news is after waiting three hours making three phone calls and getting Raw pizza and warm wings . I got to pay full priceDefinitely my last experience.
Honestly this is my favorite pizza joint around, they do quality pizza, the best chicken wings cooked perfectly everytime, a wide variety of sauces to choose from, and lots of dinner dishes, sides, and appetizers. The staff is always great and service is fast. Wednesdays are live music nights and 50 cent wings. I highly recommend this place!!!

On Wednesday Aug 5th we waited 15 minutes after being seated before anyone came to take our beverage order and then we gave the waitress Amber S. The order for 2 ice tea and she said and what do you want to eat very abruptly. We order boneless wings in the meantime I finished my drink and placed it on the edge of the table the waitress walked by it several times looked right at the glass and kept on going finally 25 minutes later when she brought the wings she brought a pitcher of ice tea with her so obviously knew my glass was empty. While we were still eating the waitress brought a box for our wings and said heres the bill I will be back to get it. I told her we wanted to order more food and said oh what do you want I told her we wanted a small cheese and pepperoni pizza on regular crust with sweet sauce cut in triangles about 30 minutes later she shows up with a pizza in a box and the bill I told her the pizza is for here she said oh I couldnt remember if you said it was to go, sorry so you want it on a serving tray I said no leave it in the box but we need plates she said oh yeah and went to get the plates while she was gone I open the pizza box to find a cheese pizza on thin crust when she came back I said we ordered cheese and pepperoni she said oh that was my fault I can bring you some pepperoni on the side I told her no I want a new pizza. Needless to say this was a very unpleasant visit to Batavias original and will think twice about going again.
Your Subs are delish...The waitress was very good. Fried pickles were crispy and nice and hot! Batavias Original is the best 😋😋😋

Still great after all these years!!! Iconic spot for Batavians for friendly service and very, very, very good pizza & wings! Actually all the food is great! Its always a great time to bring a big family or group and sit inside or outside on the covered deck! - a family tradition for sure.
They are so close to 5 stars. Our pizza was very good. It was tossed a bit to much. The center of the pie was a bit soupy. The thin crust was good and the sweet sauce was just about perfect. This will be a bike run at least once a year, at least. Its just a few miles short of 100 miles one way.
Wonderful atmosphere, a variety of menu items, delicious food, friendly staff. The waitress was fun, cracking jokes with us.

My boyfriend and I went to Batavia’s original on September 7th. It was the worst service that I have ever experienced out food came out at different times by the time that I received my food he was already done eating. When I mention that it is crazy for food to come out at separate times the waiter blew it off and left. Also the pizza was burnt on the bottom. I will never eat there again or recommend to anyone. I would have given it 0 stars but I couldn’t
Delicious as always, been going here since I was a little one. The upkeep of this building really adds to the dining experience. They support local sports teams, showing they are really a community establishment.The prices are more than reasonable, especially taking into account the quality of food as well as the large portion sizes. Again the inside dining area is wonderfully decorated and I also suggest their large outdoor patio for a meal while enjoying the summer weather.

Came here at 6:00 pm on a sunday. A table next to us sat down 10 mins later. They got service, drinks, appetizer, and meal before we got are appetizer. The table next has been gone for 10 mins and still has not recived are meal. Its been 1 hr and 10 mins since sitting down and no meal.
Times are changing and everyone is adjusting .. Best service out of all the places we have been offering curbside. 3 orders and employees made one tiny mistake but their attitude far outweighed mistake. So Grateful for Batavias Original service and employees.. Oh, and dont forget the food . Best in town.. They got my loyalty . Again best employees in town.
This place sucks in my opinion. Mediocre food, unfriendly service.Ordered delivery the other night and they got multiple things wrong. So we call(and get the same young lady who just cant be bothered with doing her job apparently) and they say theyll send over the correct items. An hour later and the delivery man shows up with the wrong order again. Call for a third time and the best we get is an apology with a free credit for the next time we come in to the restaurant to eat. Why would I even want to come in and get food at this point 😂
Oh, so worth the trip. Pizza is incredibly amazing. Cup n char pepperoni makes the pizza. And if you only buy by the slice, they are HUMUNGOUS. Soups are homemade. Italian Sausage sub is probably the best I have ever had in my almost 44 years on this planet. Staff makes great recommendations, and they are always spot on! I believe they give a Veterans discount, so thats also a plus. I dont know how many ways to say the same thing..... go. Go now. Eat your fill. You wont be sorry!

Third visit and still found the place lousy! Food over cooked to the point of ugly. Even the water good (plastic of course) was dirty! I hope your experience will be better than ours at the old Pontillos. The original owners would be horified with the quality of the food and the informality of the service.
Its becoming more difficult to get good delivery pizza in Batavia. Ive ordered from this location a few times now without issue, but this past few days its been less than great. This last order from tonight took an hour and a half to deliver, which I would be totally fine with had we gotten good pizza made correctly. However the pizza was almost cold and made incorrectly. Im hoping they get it together as its not easy to find good delivery in Batavia.Edit: Increased to 4 stars. Happy to see a management staff that addressed there issues. Ordered a few more times from this establishment and have been very pleased. Thrilled that they responded well to criticism.
It was terrible services -we waited over a hour - and still no waitress-people after us were waited on -ate and left before we even got our food and this was only after we called management.We came here as young children with our parents when Sam owed it and also as adults. but after tonight it will not be something we wish to try again We were sad to see that it has gone down hill to this extent. The new owner needs to make this right for all of us who are expecting the same quality of service we have known in the past to retain our loyalty
Never received myfood and I paid for it. I tried to call after hour and ten minutes. they would not answer the phone. Even called my bank to see if they charged my bank account,before I made this review. I not that kind of person to write reviews. Im a truck driver who has driven from Winchester va. HP Hood. To deliver food to HP Hood in Batavia Ny. In a bad ice storm. 1 January 2021.Didnt even receive a phone call from this business. Charged me. Didnt get what I paid for,even a tip. Im out of hours to drive anywhere to get anything to eat. Thanks. Very tired and hungry. Will call in the morning to get my money back. Wow...!!!
Maybe its just because I dont come here very often, but when I go into a restaurant I kind of like to sit down and be served. Thats why I go out when Im not in a hurry. If Im in a hurry, I will go someplace where I order at the counter and then sit down or take my food with me. At this place, you pick up your menu at the podium then you walk into the other room and place your order at the register. On the menus theres no information about the beverages. I guess youre just supposed to know. I was also a little disappointed that no one came to check if everything was ok. I guess here its a different kind of dinning experience. The food was very good, but will not be rushing back for the atmosphere.
Got combo large w/ pepperoni and wings.Wings were small, pizza was ok yet a bit doughy.1st time there and bought to head over to watch game at friends house in Leroy.
Our favorite wings and pizza in town and I would rate Batavia’s Original a 5 out 5 if they could get my order right and have it ready on time. Last 2x times I ordered (on line) they either forgot the GF pizza on the order or had a regular pizza prepared instead. This time, I was offered a refund on the GF pizza, but that would leave the one of us with celiacs disease without. Had other problems on past orders as well. If only they could get the easy things right. Food is fantastic.
5 Stars...Hands up! Im staying at the Holiday Inn Express, decided to try them, very pleasantly surprised! Started with the guy who answered, very nice. I asked for the pasta special, he asked meatballs or sausages, I said how about both? He said absolutely, no problem. They delivered to my room in less than 30 mins! Got complete pasta dinner, soup, salad, bread (no drink) all for UNDER $20! Italian wedding soup was awesome, pasta was great! Great job!

Very good atmosphere, ready slices of pizza fairly cheap. You can add additional toppings for extra. They rebake slices, makes them extra crisp and hot. Most of their dishes are fairly large serving. Most of the customers are friendly, so are the staff.
The food is good but the service is very consistently bad. My wife and I have given this place far too many tries. Always the same thing. Super slow and unorganized. We waited for 25 minutes just to place our order. And another hour to get our pizza. Too bad. The pizza is good. Service is bad.

I ordered double dough pizza (thick crust) . I got there and the crust was regular thickness. When I asked about ir, the pizza maker said the crust rose too much, okay, strike one. The next time I ordered just before my lunch break about 5 after 7. She said it would be about 35 minutes. I got there at 25 after, and they had just put it in the oven! REALLY?? Plus the sauce has no spices at all. Its very bland. Never going there again
Horrible ...ordered online my husband ordered a Turkey club sub and it came with just a sub roll and Turkey meat...dry! No mayo no cheese no lettuce tomato or onion. I ordered pasta with extra sauce. It was suppose to come with a salad... no extra sauce, dry as hell and no salad. I called they asked me if I wanted a credit for the next time I ordered ..um no I just want the food I ordered . Am I suppose to eat this garbage u delivered... they brought us a new sub the way we ordered it 2 and a half hrs later after we originally ordered .....never again!!
This place is not terrible, it’s just not that good. Pizza is average, wings are always overcooked and EVERYTHING is overpriced. Especially considering how stingy they are with the pizza toppings.We visit Batavia often and this was our 3rd trip to this pizza place, but I think we’ll try somewhere else on our next trip.
Had found a hair in my wings told the waitress and even though she gave me new ones no one came over to apologize not the owner or a manager. They did nothing to else to accommodate me. And when I went to use the ladies room you can see into some of the kitchen and standing there was a gentleman with the same type of hair I found in my food, which wouldn’t of been a problem but he was not wearing a hair net. Ive gone here a few times with my family in the past but unfortunately I will not be going back again.
Be prepared to sit yourself and go to them to place an order even tho they have a beautiful dining room with more then enough seating and then some... Such a loss and so weird. No money to pay a waitress?? Yet I still see so many people leaving tips... for who, for what? Def a very impersonal place.

We have an after Thanksgiving pizza party for all of our family that needed to be else where. They turn out several delicious, hot pizza in record time. We also get salads, and a veriety of chicken wings.Its a great tradition that we look forward to every year.
Great local pizza. Not sweet like some or greasy like others. Just good pizza. Thin-crust, but not so much that youd call it NYC. Tomato-y sauce, not too much. Real cheese and good pepperoni. Thats all we get on our weekly pick-up pizza.In restaurant, there are some nice options for Italian food and subs; we have liked the food whenever we have eaten there. If youre looking for a local eatery with quick sit-down times and decent food, this one should definitely be on your list.
With a very short notice we arrived after the funeral of our dad with several of our family members and friends for lunch. They sat us up on the deck in a private area and gave us the sweetest server that took excellent care of us and the food was delicious. Thank you to the staff for accommodating us on such short notice.
Was not pleased with our last pizza and thought perhaps it was an off night. Unfortunately, our order tonight was worse. The pizza was not baked correctly and the toppings were sparse. The cheese is different and has no flavor. We wont be ordering pizza from this establishment in the future.

Im not one to usually complain. But i went in on fathers day and had a horrible experience. I went in with my wife and 2 year old daughter. We ordered our food and waited. And waited. And waited. I finally got my side salad 45 min into waiting and it was warm and soggy. We then waited another 45 min for our food. Mine was ice cold. My wifes was barely warm. And my 2 year olds was scalding hot she couldnt even eat it. I was so disappointed that i asked for a box and the check. We left and went home still hungry. I was so annoyed i didnt eat the food till later in the evening. Worst experience i have had in here. I definitely wont be back.
I didnt want to pay the toll road and this gem was found along my detour. One of my favorite pizza stops now. They offer a great variety of choices. I enjoyed the Hawaiian deep dish and a cannoli.
The pizza, garlic bread and beer were excellent.
The food is not worth the price. The pie & salad had no taste at all. The salad dressing tasted sour. It wasnt busy when we were there & yet it took a long time for the food to be served. The presentation of the food was not appetizing at all either. The waitress was a snot. We wont be going back ever.

For West NY its a better then ok thin crust pizza, But... That might have changed.The large pie has considerably shrunk.The oven was dirty and the proof of that was all over the bottom of our pizza. We confronted the waitress who said she complained about the lack of cleaning to the cooks who do nothing.The outer rim of the crust was great... The inner part of the pizza meaning the center of the pizza circle was soggy.The cheese used is also very, very oily.We had to send the pie back to try to cook of the oil and the soggy center of the pie crust.This prompted me to ask if ownership has changed to find out it has!!!I used to drive 23 miles to get their pizza when ever I wanted pizza... I will not be doing that no longer. If Im in Batavia and want pizza Ill stop in, but nothing more!Like how I started this article... For West NY its a better than OK thin crust pizza. Im From NYC home of the thin crust! But... Things might be changing and not for the better!
Great pizza and wings! Lots of seating and our waitress was very thoughtful, she offered sundays to the kids because it was Brennens birthday.
So far, the best tasting pizza that I have had in Genesee county! The New York Style pizza is great, up there with Buzzys in Niagara Falls. 4/5 because the staff is random and can be hit or miss.
We were in town for a dentist apt. My daughter wanted a sub So of course I used my Google maps app to search for subs. So glad I did! This place is phenomenal! Great atmosphere, great service, great food! I will go back!!!

Dropped in while passing through on a motorcycle ride and it was perfect. Sat on the deck, quick table service, very causal, clean, family place, priced right and the server recommended Loganberry Punch ... all in all, great old school pizzeria experience with just the right amount of kitsch. Well be back.

Since new ownership the food is not the best.. nothing like it use to be when Mr.Pontello owned it... terrible service...slow... forgot half our order and food was not done. It was Saturday and busy but it should not have been a problem..pizza shops are busy on Saturday....we watched them turn people away and there were empty tables all around us...we ordered pan pizza told us would take longer we said no prob so we order appitizers...which came with pizza one and half hr later...and the regular pizza we also ordered was all sauce on one side...and pan not done....never will go back
Well because hands down its the best pizza in Genesee county not ju ssf t Batavia although I havent had all the pizza in the county but thats the original Pontillos. Great pizza and they do much more. Always loved it.
Got the cranberry chicken wrap and it was delicious! It was also Monday trivia night which looked like fun, I couldnt stay for the whole game but I would go back and try it.
Pretty good pizza, surprisingly great wings. Wings are meaty with a perfectly crispy exterior. The sauce is just spicy enough with a hint of sweetness.
Wings were OK,. Pizza Land has nothing to worry about them taking business away,. Just one step above Little Cezars, you know where the box tastes better than the Pizza,
I ordered their bucket of wings for 34.99 i think it was for delivery. Got half garlic parm half bbq mild. They said it would be about 45 mins. Okay as expected. An hour passes. I call asking if the guy is on his way. They say oh the lady that took your order was helping me on phones and she accidentally put your order for pick up instead of delivery. She told me and i forgot so ill have them out to you as soon as possible. Alright sure. Another 15 mins pass. They finally come with the wings, in a big greasy box. They politely refunded our money which was much appreciated so i still tipped the delivery boy. Look in the box, the wings were not put in there remotely organized, all that was seperating the 2 kinds of wings was a thin piece of sheet paper. Wings were tiny and scrawny. Garlic parm were very bland. Didnt have flavor. The bbq mild ones were so hot my bf didnt want to eat them but did anyways because he was hungry. We arent ordering wings from here or delivery anymore.
Also worth the stop when in Batavia. Delicious crispy wings.

This is a good pizzaria probably the best for dinning In in Batavia. They have room to accommodate a large group. There wings are good. There are daily specials that are worth getting. In the warmer season there is outdoor seating.
Took 20 min to get a drink, an hour and 10 min to get a lg pie and 20 wings, had a dirty plate, beer glass, and then I had to ask for my credit card back. My waitress had it in her pocket. Terrible.

Allergy hazard! Husband is allergic to all nuts and ordered a wrap that the menu says has garlic mayo. When it came it had pesto mayo on it instead and he didnt notice assuming it was the crumbly bleu cheese mixing with everything else. Then his throat started acting up so we check the menu online and it says garlic mayo. We check the takeout menu and it says pesto mayo! We call the waitress over and ask her and she goes and checks in the kitchen and confirms it is pesto mayo and does have pine nuts. We were only offered an apology, nothing off the meal for their error, no manager came to see if he needs medical attention. Needless to say probably wont ever be back.
Cant say enough good things about this place. Since the change in ownership the food quality has gone up quite considerably. Prices are affordable and delivery is quick. THE BEST PIZZA in Batavia by far!

I ordered a large pizza last night with X-tra cheese and X-tra pepperoni. Didn t get either. 3 of the pieces didn t have anything but sauce. I was charged for the extra cheese and charged 2x for extra pepperoni plus the bottom of the pizza was all black from the ovens.
Waited 20 minutes to be seated when it was dead then watched family who came in 10 minutes after me get drinks and orders ahead of me then ordered wings xx crispy they brought them out in less than 5 minutes mushy and cold and hardly any sauce looks like they gave me an order that someone bailed on that had been sitting around when I talked to manager he was a rude condescending prick and didnt seem to care ...this place used to be good when Sam pontillo owed it lets just say the business died when he died so many better placed wity better food and better service they also tried to charge my friend higher prices than menu said and I could on and on about it but Ill leave it at this just a warning if you want good food and good prices with good service dont go here ..stay far away .
Love their pizza! You can eat inside or on their large outdoor patio areas. Friendly staff. Parking lot can get packed though.

I’ve loved Pontillo’s since at least 1960. It was without a doubt the best pizza you could get in Batavianarely ahead of Gino’s.Returning to Batavia I couldn’t wait to order pizza and wings.WRONG MOVE!!!!!For a pie that was supposed to mimic Sam Pontillo’s, this was a huge disappointment. Crust too thick, too much sauce, not enough toppings.Not to mention, a “Family Deal” with large pizza, wings and a 2 liter bottle of Coke costs $39.46 for pickup.As much as I loved Sam and his family, after two occurrences I will never order from Batavia’s Original again.
It was a joke. I ordered a pizza, for delivery was told 45 minutes. I literally got it 3 hours later. And it wasnt even a very good pizza. Dominos was better, and it came sooner

I was greatly disappointed. I was eagerly expecting the great Pizza that it was when it was pontillos. No it was not the same. The crust tasted like stale white bread. I grew up with pontillos pizza. I went to school with pontillos. I dont often get back to Batavia, but now I know, pontillos is gone for good.

Waited over an 1 hour and 45 minutes for delivery from a location that’s only 2 miles away. Called to check status and was left on hold for 7 minutes. Hung up and called back and was told “it just came out of the oven”. Poor service. Writing before the pizza even arrived.
Really good pizza at great prices
After a rough period a few years ago, the quality is back whare it was when the parents ran the place. I have had Pizza all over the US and Italy, and Batavias Original (Pontillos) still makes the BEST pizza period!
I drive a long way to get to pontillos when I go there but there is no other piece of that is as good for me as I like it thin crust well done with onions and sweet peppers they do it right and it is consistent.

2021-07-21Not ready for prime time.Ok, not my favorite style of pizza. It’s delivered, how good can it be.Placed an order for a small pizza and half salad. I specifically said I needed plastic ware, salt and pepper, napkins and Parmesan cheese. She said I better right this down and I repeated it. I gave my hotel address. I also mentioned I have ordered pizza and salad before and not got plastic ware. I was told almost $25 and an hour wait. I paid it and waited. It came an hour later and without any of the things I requested. I told the delivery person I requested all those things and then asked him how was I going to eat the salad?!?! He did offer to go back and get the stuff, really?When you deliver to a hotel you should expect that the customer probably doesn’t have various things that you might at home.Why did they get two stars? The salad was big (not enough dressing) and had cecci beans (chick peas). The pizza had obviously been made quite some time ago and was just warm.

2022-04-10We had the smaller enclosed heated patio for a party of 12. The space was large enough for more people. Heaters did a great job keeping everyone warm. Service and food were great. It was a wonderful evening.

2022-06-09The food was fairly good. The wait time was absurd. My wife and I went there for dinner June 8,2022. She ordered a small pizza with char pepperoni and I ordered a Chicken Parmesan dinner. It took twenty minutes for my salad to arrive, ten minutes later the pizza arrived. My wife ate the pizza while I watched. Twenty five minutes later my dinner arrived. My wife was finished eating by that time. Generally most couples like to eat together. Such was not to be the case. I felt sorry for the server he was doing the best he could. The kitchen was a train wreck. Its to bad there is no excuse for this. I doubt Ill go back. I did ask multiple people to speak to someone in charge, this did not happen.
