This location has seating areas where you can see the birds being playful. At times many people fish but I never see them catch any perhaps just for sport purposes. At least from my standpoint when I was at the times when I visited location. Its a great place to feed the birds many visitors often do. Cyclists usually past through for their exercising regimen. And its a great place when were able to walk together and reflect on our loving relationship.
This place is location of peace and tranquility. Our special place and time of our first outing together. Brings back a time of reflection and need of renewal of spirit towards togetherness and commitment of life partnered friendship that others dream of in their own lives. It was a very comforting moment and experience always when sharing the graceful blessing for friends to dwell together in loving unity. God please and continue to guide two individuals with blessed hearts. Thanks for the ambiance of picturesque beautiful locations so we can reflect on your wonderful majesty.
Ive only ever visited the park, but its clean and fenced off so its easy to keep track of the little ones. Also, they hold movie nights here where they project some of the more recent kids films on to a screen. They even have the ice cream truck come by for refreshments.
Beautiful place, any time of year, especially autumn just before the leaves fall.. Great place to go for a walk, to sit and ponder the majesty of Gods creation, or simply to bring the kids and play ball! My only critique is the metal art that has been, certainly without my consent (as a taxpayer), tainted with the socialist propaganda so often stated as fact.. I.e) the pro ILLEGAL immigrant rhetoric that aims to tear at the heart strings of those useful idiots who buy into the concept that President Donald J. Trump and his administration strive to seperate mothers from their babies, and split up families..But glossed over, somehow, is the fact that the TEARING APART OF FAMILIES policy actually began under the Obama administration. Didnt hear anything about THOSE families plight, did we?Moreover, the DEMOCRAT President Franklin Delano Roosevelt sent COMPLETELY INNOCENT Americans of Japanese desent to suffer in internment camps, solely because of the nation from whence they came. (And yes, scores of families were seperated, many never to be reunited)..But for some reason, when a republican president continues the policy of a democrat president, it is THEN that the policy is lambasted..Somehow, when a Democratic president (F.D.R) locks up thousands upon thousands of LAW ABIDING AMERICAN CITIZENS LITERALLY ONLY BECAUSE OF THEIR RACE,WITHOUT A SEMBLANCE OF DUE PROCESS, that is nothing to fret over..But when a Republican President has the audacity not to refrain from detaining people who have broken the law, my goodness, what an outrage!!! So please.. Take down the disinformation; it doesnt belong at this beautiful park, nor in this beautiful country, for that matter.
Islip Art Museum is located inside Brookwood Hall. Wonderful art exhibits. Gift shop. The Islip Arts council is also located in Brookwood Hall they provide great classes like yoga as well as art classes. Brookwood Hall itself is a beautiful old mansion, that is currently being restored to its former grandeur. Must see the restored ballroom and history room.

2022-03-03My family has been coming to this park since my children were born. My boys absolutely love this park, definitely their favorite in the area. Highly recommend for any family with young children in the area. My 8 year old is on the verge of being too big but do the time being he still enjoys it here. Must bring some food to feed the ducks. The town does an excellent job in taking care of this park.

2022-05-12Went for games on softball fields by the lake on Montauk Hwy side. North field is rough, South field is good.
