To much security for my taste, have been around many many theatres in NY and some in PA and have never seen police outside the venue let alone security indoors and that includes places in NYC, I believe it does much more harm then good. People Im sure know how to cross themselves across the street before and after the show is out. For comedy and music venues its more of a deterrent and makes the venue seem shady to folks from out of town. This truly is the only place this is seen. The forum has a great music potential but obviously folks who love music are not the ones running the forum, if it were there would be many great changes but thats a whole other story. The sound is very good for music venues however it was just ok for the Louis CK show, Sat in the front row of balcony, sound clarity was ok not great and not loud enough to understand it all. The forum itself is gorgeous, just a absolute Gem for BC, not anywhere near used for its full potential, needs new management to bring in music and comedy, it could be hopping almost every weekend instead its maybe once a year even once every 2-3 years, absolute shame.
Went to see The Sound of Music last night and it was fantastic! The cast was incredible and all sang beautifully. For handicapped, tall, or heavy people...the theater seats are a bit tight and some heavy people around us were not able to fit comfortably in their seats having to sit at an angle to fit. My boyfriend is 63 and had to sit with his knees open because of how close the rows are. There is not really any handicapped accommodation other than the space behind the last row in the balconies and the restrooms while there is more than one they dont have many stalls. Arriving there was a line of about 15 people at the lobby restroom that has only 3 stalls and at intermission there was a line at the bathroom on the balcony level of about 30 people and that one had 4 stalls. No complaints from me at all, just observations. It is a beautiful older theater and I will most definitely be returning soon.
Very nice venue. The seats are a bit squished. The balcony seat had a good view of the stage. It was a bit impeded by the child in front of me sitting foward in his seat. The sound was not too loud and some of the dialogue was a little too soft to hear. The staff were very helpful and willing to help. Beautiful inside.
Relaxing and comfortable places! A wide variety of productions from local ballet to touring off-Broadway. No problem with the parking lot, easy access. Most of the places are clean, with enough bathroom, music is not too loud. I enjoy the experiences, and im looking forward to visiting here again.
Loved the show, Nutcracker and the staff were FANTASTIC! My 2 yr. old granddaughter needed a break and they directed us to a room, where we could watch the show and she found a friend. The seat are way too close for someone who has long legs, but all in all we had a great time.
Great venue in Binghamton. Completely underutilized by the City and local promoters. Used to get a fair amount of top shelf musicians there. Saw Jerry Garcia there back in the day. Tedeschi and Trucks more recently. But that was still like four years ago. Both shows were sold out. They pack the place every year for the Warren Miller ski film. If you see something on the bill that looks interesting, please get off your couch n go!

2022-03-30I have been many time, great performances except that I am short and couldnt see over taller them. I asked one of the attendance if they have a booster seat. They said no because of safety. I think this wrong and now I would consider to come back. Also, it would be nice to have matinee on Sunday. Other than that the employee were nice.

2022-01-30Im reviewing the physical building rather than the show that my family and I enjoyed (Brian Regan was fantastic!). Since the onset of covid I had not had an opportunity to visit the Forum. Was it beautiful! It looked refurbished in many ways! There was new carpeting in the balcony area, along with new trim and paint. Best of all was the complete renovation of the bathrooms (at least the ladies room. I didnt visit the mens!). The measly 3 stalls were replaced by several more. The subway tile and ancient sinks are gone. In their place reside modern decor and bright, clean, automated vessels. At any rate, the whole place received a much needed (and deserved) face-lift.

2019-11-25Saw A Magical Cirque Christmas here and it was wonderful. The show fit perfectly in this cozy theater. The staff is fantastic, the bathrooms are clean and available on both levels, and the theater itself is beautiful. The seating is a bit tight with little leg room to speak of but the seats themselves are comfortable.

2021-12-14My wife and I have seen many shows here over the years. The Forum is always organized and well staffed. Doors open when posted and plenty of ushers to help patrons find their seats. We always enjoy an evening at the forum.
