WARNING BED BUGSI stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago and not only was the service horrible with the lady working being incredibly rude and the room looked like it wasnt even cleaned properly but I woke up with bug bites all over me. The employee refused to refund my money when I questioned her about the bites all over me saying that it looked more like allergies than bug bites. I shrugged it off as just typical bad service from a low budget hotel and left.I had never encountered bed bugs before and didnt know how big of a deal they actually are... until now.Since my stay there I am now dealing with bed bugs infesting my entire home and am being forced to replace all my clothes and almost all my furniture.I suggest you stay at one of the other hotel options since the $5 you might save there is not worth the hassle and irritation you will probably have to deal with later because of that choice
Travel to Batavia every weekend for business. Usually stay at best western, or La Quinta. This weekend however, EVERYTHING was booked. Found the budget inn and grabbed the last vacancy. Staff were warm, and friendly. Whole place is VERY outdated looking, which would be somewhat of false advertising because the sign says newly remodeled. Whatever. The room was very smelly, and dingy. Bed linen was dingy looking as well. Ended up sleeping on top of the comforter, with clothes on. WAS SEVERLY BITTEN BY BED BUGS ALL NIGHT. Woke up after maybe 1 hour of sleep due to the itching. Checked the bed linen in the light, sure enough. CRAWLING WITH BED BUGS. Jumped in the also dirty looking shower, washed up, and put brand new clothes on, while throwing the clothing I wore to bed in the trash. I told the owner on checkout about the bed bug attack, and she simply said, Oh really? Im sorry. Please know that this hotel has a bed bug infestation. I would have rather sleep in my vehicle than sleep in the accommodations this hotel provides.
The Budget Inn changed my life. I honestly feel like a new person after my one night unexpected stay in Batavia. The workers there helped us wonderfully and of course it was fun and cost effective. I will go out of my way to stay here again just for the memories. God bless the budge. Only problem was a couple Doritos left in the bed.
Rooms extremely clean, bathroom little dated but spotless. Owner very nice and helpful. Definitely a value conpared to neighboring properties
5 stars for letting us smoke in the room but the bed sucks they are rock hard and the TV works half the time

The caretakers here are very kind people, and were patient with me dealing with my company paying for my room. Rooms were clean and newly renovated, and the cleaning staff were friendly and helful.

I was only in my room for 7mins. before I encountered 2 roaches. The owners didnt want to refund my money. It was a nightmare of an experience.
Nice family-run hotel in convenient location. One minor nit was that the soap they provide was very tiny and brittle.

As far as budget hotels go, this is perhaps the most comfortable one Ive encountered in the USA.
It was a costly hotel with a lot of room for improvement. Served its purpose but cant say my family will ever stay again.

2021-09-01The manager, Bob Patel, was wonderful. We got there very very very late at night, and he welcomed us and treated us like family. The room was really nice, and clean. And the beds were very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again next time we come this way.

2021-08-21Lady was nice but the room could of been better. Im fine with being outdated but they need to clean room a bit better. dust on hair dryer shower, drain didnt drain, spilled liquid on bureau doors, sheets looked dirty oh and wash cloth had hair intertwined in it. definitely disappointed. My friends room was outdated but clean so maybe we just got room that gets neglected alot its too bad because location is perfect

2021-05-16Heres the thing. Its a Budget Inn, not a Hilton. Our room was $60, while the La Quinta next door only had rooms for $200. The room was much better than expected, clean, and smelled nice. It was perfect for what we needed--an affordable, safe, and comfortable place to spend the night while on the road.

2021-08-17This place was a total disapointment. Was very dirty and unkept. They advertise free breakfast and the only thing available was coffee which we are not coffee drinkers. The room also smelled like stale cigarettes. We would never stay at this place

2019-05-27False advertisement, rooms are cheap and thats what you get. Continental breakfast was not up to par: was not allowed to bring your breakfast back upstairs, mini donuts were drier than a popcorn fart, no cream cheese for the bagels, when something was needed, no one could be found behind the desk. There were 2 obviously drunk women in the lobby, yelling and babbling about nothing at 8 am on a Saturday. The best part about my stay was feeding the birds out of our window. Do not recommend.

2015-06-26I had a great stay. The hotel is very clean. The manager upgraded me from a queen size room to a king size room after 1 night and I didnt even need to pay extra. The two rooms I saw were remodeled and the breakfast was good too. The manager and the clerk were very nice and even gave me a suggestion for a restaurant. I would stay here again.

2017-07-14Very clean, well maintained room. The management are very easy to talk to. Had a diamond ear ring go down the sink, and they tore it apart to get it. Ill be using them, everytime I come into town

2010-08-22Found this place on the POI of my GPS and made reservations while we were 2.5 hours away. Arrived and the place looked run down. There were signs posted reading that the rooms had been recently renovated. Additionally, there were signs in the main lobby stating that there was to be no smoking in the non-smoking rooms. We check in pretty quickly and head up to our room. As soon as we walk in, we a smell a strong smell of cigarettes and there was an ash tray in the room. We double checked the door to make sure it was a non-smoking room and it was. We go to the front desk to ask to switch to another room because the room smelled so bad and the woman at the front desk gave us an air freshener! Avoid this place at all cost. Its much too late for us to pack up and go to another hotel, weve been on the road for 11+ hours.Update:We are now staying at the Comfort Inn Down the street. So after getting ready for bed, we noticed that our sheets appeared to be kind of dirty, enough to warrant us to not want to sleep on top of them tonight. So we decided to get our sleeping bags to sleep in on top of our beds. Once again we were wiped out and didnt really care. On my way back into the hotel, I ran into one of the staff members behind the counter. I asked him if he had any spare sheets as ours were a little dirty. The guy immediately gave me a bad attitude! He asked me why I didnt come down earlier to report this. I let him know that we just discovered it. I added that my friend had walked down right after we entered the room regarding the smoke odor. At that point he became very agitated and did not even look me in the eye. He told me that I was more than welcome to leave. I told him I would like to stay and just wanted extra sheets for the night. He walked off and told me to leave and come back for my refund. It didnt end there. We packed our belongings and headed back to the main lobby. The gentleman was not behind the counter so I knocked on the door marked Employees Only and waited. He came storming out with sunglasses on this time. It was almost midnight and he came out with shades... Any ways, he demands the key card back and I let him know that I would give him the card back as soon as he processed my refund with paperwork. He questioned what paperwork I wanted and then insulted me, asked me if I was born in this country. I give him my card, the whole time hes going off about something I didnt really get. He hands me the receipt to sign and before signing it, I asked him if this was indeed a credit/refund receipt. He looks at me and tells me hes not going to tell me and puts me down for not being able to read a hotel receipt. I again explained to him that I only wanted to know if what I was signing was a refund. Needless to say he did not help me. I read the receipt over, figured it out, and signed it and gave it back to him. He gave me back my credit card and I his room key card. At this point, he officially kicked me out of his hotel. I know this is long winded but its what happened to me. Im not so much upset as I am humoured by what happened to my friends and I. Please heed my warning, do not go here. They will insult you, yell at you, put you down, offer you bad service, and tell you its the law to have an ashtray in non-smoking rooms.
