As our family struggled to face my husbands sudden death, Mr. Ha the funeral director and his superb staff provided excellent guidance and support in planning the wake and all aspects of the services.Mr. Has knowledge, professionalism, and his attention to our particular circumstances and needs were extremely helpful in our time of grief.Although Ive attended funerals of loved ones and friends, this was the first time I had to make such arrangements.As difficult and heart breaking to say farewell to my husband, we were able to honor his wishes and give him a loving and thoughtful funeral.Mr. Has compassion will always be remembered and appreciated.
My father passed away unexpectedly this month and I was in a hurry to procure a funeral home, casket, cemetary plot, etc. due to various time constraints. Came across Central Funeral Home (Flushing) online with stellar reviews and went to check out the location (along with a few others) in person the very next day. Was greeted by Nancy who was a pleasure to work that I knew right away that I need not shop around any further. This was my first time organizing a funeral and she helped guide me through the entire process. In the end, Central was able to accommodate our requested days, times, and we reserved a very large room with online streaming provided so that relatives across the country as well as overseas could watch. The facility is very clean, plenty of parking, and away from the hustle and bustle of main street / downtown Flushing. A special thanks to Jamie and Director Augustine as well. They are both absolutely a pleasure to know and work with and I now consider them 3 (Nancy, Jamie, Augustine) as good friends. Central is very lucky and blessed to have such a good working team. We went to a number of funeral homes to make arrangements for my father but as soon as we walked into this one, I knew it was the one. The parking lot was convenient and the atmosphere inside was clean, warm, and inviting. We were greeted by a friendly face,Nancy and then introduced to funeral director John Chong who was exceptional at what he does. He was very thorough and made the process smooth while being kind and compassionate at the same time. When the time my father passed away came, John was supposed to be off but he came to make it happen for my family and I will be forever grateful. Highly recommended. Thank you and God bless.
When my father passed it was a distressing and disorienting time and I’m so glad we found Central Funeral Home. The funeral director Mr Ha was compassionate, kind, efficient, attentive, and gracious. He picked up the phone late at night and communicated by text to keep things moving quickly and easily. He made the arrangements go so smoothly and was very conscious of keeping the prices under control. At the time of the services the staff was highly attentive and respectful and set up both a YouTube livestream and a zoom meeting so people around the world could join in. They were there the whole time to keep things moving smoothly. Phillip and Andrew were on site during the wake and handled everything so well. The Central Funeral team was there every step of the way from the wake to the church funeral to the burial and really allowed us to grieve and honor my father without worrying about the details. Other reviews mention the driver who plays “Amazing Grace” on his harmonica at the end of the burial service. This driver was at my father’s burial and it was incredibly moving to hear this at his gravesite.

We recently had a funeral arranged here at Central Funeral Home for grandma Jung Ae Maria Lee and words cannot describe how amazing this place was. The staff went above and beyond to provide such professional services and made it a smooth and easy process for us all. They helped us through it all, each step of the way so we could have a beautiful service. They did an amazing job for our grandma’s makeup and our family was so thankful for everything the staff did. Beyond our expectations for the funeral service we had imagined.
With my grandfathers passing, we chose this place for the funeral services. The staff were perfect and very professional. The workers and manager were also very kind. They were very professional with their work and helped us when our family was in a difficult position due to this pandemic. They were many workers inside who acted as family, the rooms were large and nice, and the parking lot was vey spacious. Do not hesitate to use Central Funeral Home for your loved one’s Funeral services. They are detailed oriented but sensitive to the family’s circumstance. Their prices are reasonable and they are honest on what is necessary to meet your needs. This is second funeral I used their services for and most recently we had to transport my loved one to another state. Central Funeral Home coordinated and even negotiated the costs for transporting my loved one.

I cannot thank Mr. Ha and his staff enough for their professionalism and empathy during this most difficult time. They had covid safety measures implemented (contactless temperature checks and sanitizing stations) allowing us to safely mourn the loss of my father. Additionally, they are conveniently located and have ample parking.Most importantly Mr. Ha and his staff are caring, kind and compassionate. They treated us like family. Knowing we were overwhelmed by my father’s sudden passing, he patiently answered our questions and handled all of the arrangements for the viewing, church service and graveside service.

The best and most caring funeral home in the metropolitan area. They did an amazing job on Dad’s face makeup. He looked so natural and rested. The florist they recommend provided top notch flowers and filled arrangements.The cherry on top was when we took Dad to the crematorium. After the casket was laid in the crematorium chapel we stepped into the room with the hearst driver playing Amazing Grace on a harmonica. The accoustics in the crematorium chapel with the harmonica was so comforting and soothing. It was the most appropriate farewell to Dad with Amazing Grace playing in the background. Beyond my expectations for the small funeral my husband and I wanted for Dad.

I had my grandmothers funeral and the editorial is the best.The entire set-up is also broadcast on the tube.And all the staff are so very friendly.My father paid for the funeral in Korea.Since there is a branch in Korea, it was very convenient to pay in Korean money.
DONT EVER NEVER hire this funeral home, a relative passed away, I called this service to check the procedure, but I didnt sign any paperwork and not giving them an authorization take my relative from hospital. They claim my relative at hospital WITHOUT my authorization. I called them and asked them to release, they said will, but never did, after so many phone calls, they still didnt do it, I said if you dont release, Ill bring in legal action against them and file complaints at Dept. of Health and BBB, they said go ahead, and worse of all, they hanged up on me. A liar said calling me whole day, but my cell has no call records from them. I have a director from Bureau of Funeral Directing at Dept. of Health called them directly and that the only way they released my mom. An unprofessional and non ethic funeral home. Their license should be suspended. If I can give no star., Ill do so.A funeral company with no professional ethics that deserves to be condemned-my mother passed away a few days ago, and someone from Flushing Tzu Chi recommended them. I called them on Tuesday night to consult them. I did not promise them to do this service for me and did not sign anything with them. power of attorney. On Wednesday, I authorized another funeral company in the community with a good reputation to go to the hospital to invite my mother, but was rejected by the hospital because the Central Funeral Home still went to the hospital to hold my mother without my authorization. After making countless calls to the Central Funeral Home, they still did not notify the hospital of the release. They lied and even hung up my phone. I called again and told them that if they didn’t release Mom, I would ask a lawyer to sue them and invite the Ministry of Health to get involved , The staff member Mr. Zeng said its up to you. Finally, on Thursday, the director of the Ministry of Health called the Central Funeral Home, and the person in charge did not even return the number of the director of the Ministry of Health. But on Friday, another funeral home I hired could go to the hospital to invite my mother. This kind of wicked funeral company should have its license revoked! ! !

Last month I had my aunts funeral.All facilities are excellentFamilies in Korea and China were satisfied with Zoom and YouTube services.
I have contacted Mr. Zeng Siding twice by phone. One of them was today Sunday. Because I was old and deaf, Mr. Zeng patiently asked my requirements and then introduced your company’s service items in detail. Since I cannot go to your company to observe various facilities and The layout, Mr. Zeng put down the phone time and time again to take pictures and email me to me, and answered all my questions after looking at the pictures, and took pictures with different angles again until I understood. I was dissatisfied with some layouts, but I didnt know how to modify them reasonably. He helped me with various suggestions until I was satisfied. The phone call lasted more than 2 hours, and Mr. Zengs professionalism and service attitude were really top-notch.

Through the central funeral director a month agoEverything related to the funeral was carried out.Not the contracted coffin chosen by the family on the day of the funeralI asked if a different tube was used.The contracted tube was not ready and a more expensive tube (?) was used.I got an absurd answer.Families facing the difficult reality of a funeralIn such a difficult situation,We proceeded to the changed tube.In the process of changing the tube, without contactIntention and morality beyond common sense that did not keep the contractWouldnt it be nice to use a more expensive tube?I am writing this because I am uncomfortable with one-sided excuses.
Dear Sir, Its been a few days since your mother was called by God and entered heaven. As with anyone, it was surprising and embarrassing that Mothers Socheon happened to all of his children. But I was very grateful to hear from Mr. Ha early in the morning when I was upset. Mr. Ha also thought that he cared well for the bereaved family. thank you. I made a beautiful mothers tribute video so that I could look back on the beautiful scenes of my mothers life with many people attending the viewing. I was especially impressed by the amazing grace that the harmonica played with my mothers mausoleum and helped me through the last funeral process. Because we once again felt that we are living with Gods grace every day with such a beautiful melody. I will remember the love and kindness of many of our staff members for a long time at my mothers funeral. We presented twice the price of other funeral directors and selected another funeral director and contacted us without sending a letter of consent. Two hours later, I called and moved the body to my funeral director, so I unreasonably asked for a fare of $700 if I had a funeral through another funeral director, and said almost half the price of the initial price, which was similar to that of other funeral directors. I asked as a funeral director, and because of that, the cost was higher than $1000, and I had a lot of trouble. I am claiming damages from the central funeral director. Also, we are preparing for trial with a nursing home for the fact that the body was almost stolen by Dong-Eui Business.
When the central funeral home was in trouble this time, all employees worked hard on the front line and actively helped my familys funeral. Thanks again!

2022-01-26My mother and I experienced our first family member passing with my grandmother this past weekend. With the amazing help of Mr. Ha and the staff, our grandmother was taken care of with much respect. The hair, makeup, clothing, flower and casket arrangements were all done very well, much to our pleasure...it was a difficult time for us but were very grateful that the staff made the arrangements a smooth experience. One staff member played the harmonica beautifully as we said our final words...he and Mr. Ha waited patiently as we stayed behind until we were finished. The hearse driver--Philip, I think--was a kind, young gentleman who led the way well and explained everything clearly. My mother and I are extremely grateful to the staff here at Central. Thank you very much.

2022-01-08Central Funeral Home in Flushing took care of my both parents funerals, years apart. Its director, Mr. Bong-ho Ha, is a compassionate person with a good bedside manner and caring attitude toward our family who lost our beloved. He placed an article about my mother in Korean daily newspapers as she was the oldest person (110) whose death he dealt with in his 33 years of business. He is an efficient business man who came out to the Catholic church where we had a funeral mass; he took charge of matters from start to finish attentively. Thank you.

2021-12-19I had my fathers funeral on 11/10/2021 (Hahn Family). Mr. Ha, the president of the company, was very kind and accommodating. He even took pains to accommodate our last-minute request for casket change in the morning of the date of funeral. Because we arranged the funeral as the family only event, only one person, Phillip, the driver of the hearse, accompanied us for burial. Even though he had to do everything by himself, he was very efficient and helpful, so everything went smoothly.

2021-09-20My grandfather recently passed away and they were so quick to help transport him to the funeral home within the hour. Upon visitation and the help of Augustine Chan, we had the funeral date set up from the service all the way to burial at a distant cemetery. He was so helpful in helping my family get through the planning process during a stressful time. He is extremely responsive during all hours of the day to help tend to our needs. The service was very smooth and every part of the day felt like my grandfather was smiling from above. I highly recommend this funeral home and more specifically Mr. Augustine Chan.

2021-05-28Recently my father passed away unexpectedly and Angie at Central Funeral Home made preparing his memorial and cremation super painless and easy. She guided us through every step and answered all the questions my mom and I had as we made decisions for the arrangements. Day of the memorial we felt super supported by the staff- they had guest books prepared, the service room looked beautiful, tissues available, live stream ready and they helped pack up flowers after. Not only did Angie make this process easy for us she was also available to answer any questions we had regarding the arrangement process and burial. Thankful for their support during this hard time.

2021-03-21Superbly done!!When my friend’s wife passed away, the central funeral home has done superbly great job. They did everything to bring confidence comfort and convenience for the family. The director himself has come out to the graveyard to show friendship love and care. Korean female staff welcomed us and offered visitors sign book and hot tea. Male staff person as driver came out, made arrangements of flowers well and did give proper directions to the visitors and family members. The staff members worked very hard in even the cold weather. 2021-03-09I want to thank Central Funeral Home for my moms funeral. My family has been using Central Funeral Home for our funeral needs since 1991. The first was my grandmother, and the latest person who passed away was my mother. The funeral director Mr. Ha walked me through the steps and made my hard time a bit easier. The funeral make-up artist did a great job on my mom, and the two funeral staff who helped us at the Burial site did a wonderful job. One staff member took photos of the burial service and sent them to me later. The other one played his harmonica when we were laying the flowers in front of her picture. The photomontage of my mom was beautifully done. Most importantly, they respected our wishes as best as they could during the pandemic time.
