Just had your service department out to help with my furnace that would turn on and shut off after a few minutes. They showed up in less than an hour and got my heat working beautifully! We had AC installed in our house. Chiodos pricing was more than reasonable! The best part of the experience was the staff. A young gentlemen by the name of Frank was one of the workers to install our unit. He did a wonderful job. Very polite and kept the area clean. The timing was great as well. I hired angelo chiodo to put a central air unit at my daughters residence. The central air never worked when he fired someone they told me the truth that the reason it never worked was because it was a used one and I payed for a new one. I went to talk to angelo chiodo and he refused to do anything or give me a new one so I had to call someone else from a different company and had to pay for new central air unit to be put in. So be careful who you hire.. my review is correct youre the one who sold me a used unit.. angelo chiodo
The two men who installed my new furnace were very nice. They only took a break for lunch. They were at my home for seven hours installing the furnace. I had them raise the furnace off the basement floor. It now sits on cinder boxes. My basement flooded and I had to replace the furnace. I will not have to worry any more if it floods again. The sales man Jon give me a good quote for the furnace and duct cleaning. The price beat another HVAC companies in the Syracuse area. A fair price over all. Steve who did the duct cleaning was pleasant. We needed the cleaning done because of the new furnace. These guys are very good at their jobs.
After shopping around for a new AC and furnace I decided to go with Angelo Chiodo and I could not be happier! From Jon who came over to give me a fair and honest estimate to Lonnie and Greg who did a wonderful job with the install and answered all of my questions, the whole process was very smooth. Steve was great with the duct cleaning work, now my entire house just smells clean! Jon even stopped by during the install to check on things and answer and questions...that is how you do customer service! I highly recommend Chiodo!
Very impressed with the team sent by Chiodo to do a full install of heat and AC. Fair and honest quote, unlike several of the other companies that I requested a quote from. Two years ago....Called late in the morning with an A/C issue on a 90 degree day at a relatives home. Repair done quickly, professionally, and reasonably priced. From phone call to cool air less than 4 hours. Have used in the past as well, always professional workmanship!!8/2021 - The hottest week of the summer, came home from work to find my house hotter inside than outside. Called Chiodos for my home this time. Yet again, I found them to be responsive and professional. They dispatched a repairman who was very knowledgeable and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issue and promptly presented options. I was also able to speak with the owner, Angelo, who was professional and offered expert advise. I made the decision to replace the heating and A/C system. The sales person, Jon, arrived at the stated time and provided excellent guidance. I found the pricing to be reasonable. Upon installation, I determined it was beyond reasonable and a great value. The guys who did the installation were polite, punctual, and extremely talented. Their professionalism was reflected in their work. The job site was left clean and the work performed was excellent. After a couple of days I was left wishing we had done this sooner. I had two services done by Angelo Chiodo. First they did their Duct cleaning service and then a week later we had them install a new Central Air Conditioning System. Everyone I had dealings with was very friendly and professional. It was great to have a group that came in and gave me a good price and professional service, do drama, no nonsense, just installed it, made sure it worked, then called a few days later to make sure I was still happy with the performance of the system.
Called to setup a estimate for a air conditioner. Talked to a woman she said they would get back to me about this . They never called back. Went with another contractor. Very unprofessional. Was not going to call them back not going to beg there business. Called for this back in August 2020
Hot water heater died Thurs. morning. Called Chiodo at 8:15. Had a tech at my house for an estimate at 9:15. New heater was installed and working perfectly by 4:00. What more can you ask for!? Everyone I dealt with was courteous and efficient. Price was right and new unit works great. Have used them previously and wont go anywhere else!
Just had my central air replaced. Chiodo was the only one of three AC businesses I called who bothered to respond. The service was excellent and Im very happy with the work. Will definitely use them again.

Chiodos has been doing good work for years.. Dave Kushin was great. We have an in attic unit and he never complained of heat etc. Appreciated his skill and the pricing was fair. Will call and ask for him again.
They installed a new heating unit last December and they were on time, fast and efficient as well as very professional. Had a minor callback problem and Dave came and diagnosed the problem in just a few minutes and was able to fix it. Again, very professional and easy to work with. If Google gave 6 stars they would get 6.
First of all, VERY happy with everything.Trustworthy, reliable, knowledgeable, and FAST.Our 20 year old furnace stopped working in the middle of the night in the month of December. Our house was SO cold. I knew who to call immediately...Angelo Chiodo. We had a great experience with them on an air conditioner install a couple years ago. Kyle the technician came over within a couple hours to access the situation. After he ran through a couple of tests he figured out that the circuit board was fried. Kyle mentioned that we could possibly replace the circuit board or have a new furnace installed. After a quick discussion with my wife, it was decided to have a new furnace installed because the old furnace would have to be replaced sooner rather than later.Kyle drew up the bill for diagnosing and got Jon one of Chiodos Comfort Advisers on the phone to discuss options and to set up an estimate.Jon was there the same day! After going through some options and based on some recommendations from Jon, we decided which furnace to have installed.I let Jon know about how cold it was in the house and if he had any tips on how to warm up my house! Without skipping a beat...he mentioned that he would drop off a space heater later that evening! Talk about hospitality!Only one full day went by before our furnace was installed.I was impressed.The installers showed up ON time and ready to get to WORK!Paul, one of the installers, was the one who installed my air conditioning unit a couple years before! Glad to see Chiodo treats their employees well. Brandon the other installer was just great. 4 1/2 hours later. HEAT. AWESOME GLORIOUS HEAT in the house. BOTH Paul and Brandon were VERY courteous and kind. Very aware of their surroundings. CLEANED up and everything. Like they were never there...except the brand new furnace. We couldnt be happier. Art was great at explaining the cost and installation for our new AC unit. We had it installed in a timely manner and Paul, the installer, was terrific! He was professional and worked hard the entire day until the job was done. Excellent service all around!

Out central air decided to stop working today when it was 84 degrees. I called Chiodo when I got home from work and received a call back within the half hour. The technician Dallis basically diagnosed my problem over the phone and arrived a few hours later, fixed the blown capacitor and had us up and running in no time. Afterwards he explained to us how the unit works and gave me some tips on keeping running efficiently. The after hours price was very reasonable also.

I wish I could tell you about their in home service but I was brushed off when trying to make a service appointment. When my call was answered I had mentioned that I was recommended to them by another Plumbing and Heating company. I started in on what type of service I needed and was told to hang on. She then told me that s servicemen would be by later this afternoon for the repair and started to end the call. I told her that I hadnt even given you my address or phone number yet. She told me to hang on again. She then came back on the phone and asked if i was calling for a service appointment. I started to go over again what my situation was and how i was recommended to call them. She then placed me back on hold again. After waiting she came back on the line and asked me for my phone number. I did provide it and she quickly said someone will contact you about setting up an appointment and then hung up. At this point i had called another company, setup an appointment, had them come out and repair what what was needed, and still have not even heard back from the call back this company was going to provide me. Based on the customer service over the phone i was provided I can only rate this company on that.(Update: This took place 8/3/2020 and roughly 30-45 mins after i posted this comment i did receive a phone call. But again, by that time I had already found another company, setup that appointment, and they had came out and fixed my issue)
You installed our AC back in 2004, we only have had to have you do maintenance on it a few times. You are very professional, knowledgeable, caring & affordable. It is so greatly appreciated & thanks for coming quickly during this heat wave recently! It is working well once again!

Heating & Air Conditioning Tech-Adam-came for our scheduled furnace Maintenance check on time, by the way called 15 minutes prior to confirm his arrival time. He was properly prepared with the appropriate tools and parts just in case. Adam discovered a part that was very soon to go which would have burned out the furnace motor causing angst and potential severe interior damage. The part was replaced after he took the time to explain its function and to introduce an annual maintenance plan that would give us a parts discount now and in the future plus included my spring a/c inspection. All work completed in a timely fashion with complete cleanup. We have had Angelo Chiodo do all our inspections and air duct cleaning for years. There is no one else we trust. We highly recommend for maintenance, inspections, and installation of any heating and air conditioning needs. 5 stars!

AC stopped working today on a Sunday. 100 degree day. Called at 7:45. Tech was here by 9:40. He was fully done by 9:30. I thought* I would be paying through the roof for a Sunday call but it was extremely reasonable (glad I didn’t wait). I’ll be calling them again for sure! Very frustrated with the service weve gotten with our Central Air installation. We asked for specific components to be added to our a/c unit at the recomendation of a family member who has hvac experience. We were given a bit of a hard time about it initially, but eventually got this resolved and agreed to pay the additional cost for the components. On our installation day the serviceman forgot these hardware pieces. He offered to come back another day to install, but stated it would take longer becsuse he had to drain the system to install. We were up front about scheduling challenges on the second day and told the serviceman he had limited time, and would only be able to access the unit outside initially as my husband had to drop our child off at daycare, and would need to go to sleep by noon to prepare for his overnight shift at work. Serviceman agreed to this but when he showed up immediately wanted access inside meaning I was late to work as I had to drop our child off instead. He also didnt complete work until 2pm and then called again at 3pm waking my husband up to get our payment information (and charged us $400 more than our initial agreement). They also left multiple holes in our walls (which they agreed to patch, but have never followed up on despite numerous calls from us), did not seal the hole they placed in our siding to run the electrical wire (initially it wasnt sealed at all, but they did seal the opening from inside our house on 2nd visit), so there is open access for water to get behind our siding. They also stated they would seal ductwork seams they added (similar to what we currently have in our home that was completed by zerodraft), but again have not completed this. I was told by our family member with hvac experience that the work inside the ac unit itself looked great which is the reason I gave 3 stars vs the 1 I wanted to give. Cant say Ill be eager to recomend this company to anyone else, and very frustrated I now have several repairs to make to my home. Not easy to find the time when you have small children at home...
I called and got an appointment quickly. The woman said the tech would call approx 30 min prior to arrival, he called 1 hour prior because he was running ahead of schedule and wanted to know if that worked for me, YES! When are techs ever early?!? He was friendly, thorough, CLEAN, seemed very knowledgeable and gave me a heads up on the future of my unit as it is 15 years old. I felt very comfortable with him in the house with just my children and I (very important to me that my husband doesnt have to loose time at work to come home because the techs are creepy) I will certainly recommend them to others and use them again!
From estimate to end they did what they promised. They came to my house because my central air condenser (outside unit) was crushed by ice. The rest of my system was in perfect working order. They estimate the replacement of that part, as I needed it done cheap. They advised of a day they would replace it and the cost. On the day of the install the condenser was damaged so they replaced with a higher end unit at no additional cost on that day because thats what they promised. I kicked on my AC a few days later, and I had an issue with the system. I called them and they came over that day and fixed it immediately. I have received amazing service and Im staying cool on those hot and humid days.
Had 3 visits for a boiler that would not ignite. They never fixed the problem, but charged me over $350. When I called about the bill, they never returned my call. When I called again, I was promised that the owner would review the bill and get back to me. Noone ever called me back. Eventually, I called the boiler manufacturer and it turned out to be a simple maintainance issue. The burners were clogged and needed cleaning.
Called last week to get an estimate for air duct cleaning and they sent someone the same day-great! Scheduled the cleaning for this morning and no one showed up. When my father called to see why they hadn’t shown up yet he was given the run around and was basically told it wasn’t scheduled. I called them back and was told “ugh the guy is sick today.” So unprofessional. It’s a shame bc I chose them based on reviews. Clearly, it was never put in the schedule and there was a mix-up. Mistakes happen but own it! Not even an apology. I would have rescheduled if it wasn’t for their poor customer service.

The gentleman who answered the phone initially (not the main guy) was friendly and understanding. Unfortunately, I later spoke when the main guy whom I thought was going to help find a solution to our problem or at least attempt and was extremely disappointed to be blown off. We woke to find a very unbearable odor coming from the vents of our house to the point we has to turn the furnace off and go outside in the middle of the night. Ive now had a service man here to look at the furnace and then an electrician to rule out burning wires both of which said contact this man to clean my duct work out. The response I get is that there is probably nothing I can do but if there is it will be in a few weeks. I have a young child and it is still cold out and I cannot run my furnace without being driven outside. Apparently this business doesnt care whether you freeze or not or are being potentially exposed to some chemical. The least he could have doNE was refer me to someone else. I was told to look in the yellow pages. Good luck!

I have been with this company for over 20 years. They are very professional and responsive. O highly recommended them.
They did a great job on the furnace install on time and efficient, however I was disappointed that I was not told I would have to remove my vent pipe to the roof, I did more work than the installers on that and felt overcharged for the vent pipe, I also found out I would have to remove it myself the morning they came to replace the vent pipe not very professional on that one, but otherwise the furnace install was great!

2022-03-08We are first-time customers of Chiodo Heating and Air Conditioning, and our experience couldnt have been better. After getting a few estimates to replace our HVAC system, we called Chiodo for an estimate. Jon was at our house within two days. He was polite, respectful, and professional. Jon listened to our concerns and offered us solutions without being hard sell. He even provided us with his personal cell number in the event we had any follow up questions or concerns. Jon also invited us down to the shop where we met several of the staff, including the owner, Mr. Chiodo, who is on site and hands on. They have an on-site fabrication department where they build custom ductwork when needed. This guy takes pride in his work. We were able to get our new furnace, A/C and thermostat installed within three days. The installers, Frankie and AJ arrived on time and they too where polite and respectful of us, and to our home. They did a terrific job with the installation and paid attention to detail, which we appreciated. They removed the old equipment, swept the floor and made certain we were satisfied prior to leaving. The office staff also processed our paperwork in a timely fashion and provided us with the documentation we needed to file a National Grid rebate that we qualified for. 2022-06-30We had a brand new furnace and A/C system installed by this company and they did an amazing job. We worked with John, and from the very beginning with the consultation to the estimate to the job itself, we were very happy with his professionalism and knowledge of his craft. The 2 young men that installed everything were also fantastic. They were very hard working, professional, courteous and were able to get everything done in one day. They even took the extra step and cleaned up the debris that was leftover on the floor from the old furnace. Overall we were very satisfied with our experience and would recommend them to anyone. 2022-02-22My 33 year old furnace called it quits recently. Art very quickly found the perfect replacement furnace for me (same brand as before). It was then delivered and installed just a few days later by a very professional and competent technician by the name of Ron. The next day I had some additional questions and Ron came to my home again and very expertly answered all of them. It was a pleasure working with both gentlemen.

2022-02-26Chiodo staff were all so professional and reliable. They responded to our concerns by genuinely listening and answering the (many) questions that I posed. We were scheduled during a huge snow storm and they arrived on time, were careful not to make a mess, and cleaned up before leaving. The two gentleman who came to our home explained what to expect (no surprises!) and even helped troubleshoot an issue we had with an odor in the duct system. HIGHLY! RECOMMEND!

2022-07-01Just had a complete furnace and ac done by chiodo. I had a few issues with the installation but I contacted Jon the salesman about it. He answered quickly and listened to my concerns. A couple days later, he came with a few guys to fix all the issues I had and made sure I was happy with the finished product. I could contact Jon at anytime about questions and he would always get back to me and put my mind at ease. We are happy with the finished project and glad we went with Chiodo. Thanks guys!

2022-05-16Was quoted one price over the phone. When the work was completed, nothing over what was discussed on the phone, they tried to charge me double. Won’t do business with them again. They lack character and integrity.The response from the owner would like you to think I have the wrong company… I don’t.They quoted me $475 for the job over the phone by a John. The service tech handed me a bill for $730 for less work than quoted and after he called John I still wound up paying $565. They want to make it out like it’s not them. Just be more honest and you won’t have reviews like this.

2022-06-19This is an update of an earlier review:Chiodo HVAC had done all our HVAC work for years, and had done great work.This spring they serviced our air conditioning. But from the paperwork, it wasn’t clear if they had actually done the work that we requested.I had to make 4-5 phone calls over a week or two to get answers, which was frustrating. But finally Frank Chiodo and his team got me the answers I needed, and made the situation right.

2022-08-01Quite surprised as to lack of response after one of the employees came to give an estimate for central ac. He arrived on time, looked at the current setup and said he would be getting back to me. That was weeks ago, called again in case he got busy and/or forgot my email or phone number and no response. Representative name was Art, who seemed knowledgeable, so don’t know what to make of it other than they didn’t want to follow up for whatever reason. So unfortunately I can’t recommend based on my experience. Will be moving on to another company.Addendum: answer to question by owner - Appointment was May 19th at noon. I called again early last week and spoke to a woman to let her know that I had not been contacted. Left my phone number and email, including address. No one called back.
