**READ IT ALL, so you dont get fooled!!!Written by my wifeI went to these offices in Buffalo NY and Syracuse NY for IVF and I was told that they will bill my insurance except for the IVF procedure. I paid in full out of pocket for all my the fertilization procedure as I was told and I was told that my balance was in zero and I didnt have to pay anything else.Anyways, after some weeks (04/02/2018) I received a bill for $1,225.00 for my follow-up ultrasounds, blood test, and other lab procedures. When I contacted their billing department they told me that my medical insurance refused to pay for it. And when I called my Med. Insurance they told me that they never received any treatment report from CNY. ...They were lying to me to charge me their fees and not the insurance fees.I complained to my medical insurance and after investigation, I received a letter from BlueCross BlueShield plan saying that they advised CNY Fertility to no bill me for those procedures anymore and I didnt have to pay anything else to this provider. One year after, (05/08/2019) I received a bill from a debt collection agency for the same amount of $1,225.00, because of CNY Fertility referred to them a past due account of me.This people at CNY just lied to you to make you see their prices lower than other offices, but they are just trying to make go through the treatment and, way after, send you a plus bill that they think you will not remember whats for.Their billing department representative is very nasty. They only care about money and they have this well written confusing statements that they make you sign to get legal backup when they charge you these crazy amounts. Now my Med.Insurance contacted the collector and advised them about not charging me. Now I am waiting for the collector contact CNY to report it.At this point, I am placing a lawsuit for affecting me my credit for trying to scam me.By the way, the IVF procedure was not successful at all, when the doctor did the two embryo transfers, he left the room very quickly and the nurse asked me to stand up right away. I ask her to let me stay laid down facing up with my legs lifted up for a few minutes, but they needed the room for another patient. As soon as I got up, I felt a liquid coming out of my vagina, I think it was the embryos.Really sad, but true. This is just a money factory for these people, it is not a health or family planning center.WARNING: Never trust CNY Fertility, there are many other better options out there! Your bill looks cheaper but it is not transparent. It will be double.
We are constantly playing phone tag with them. They say they are going to call us back then the next day we don’t hear anything back from them and the cycle of phone tag repeats again. They expect you to constantly take off of work. They don’t understand Its not always easy to get days off even when you put in for a day off at work. Maybe they should consider having evening hours so they can be more accommodating.
I am very disappointed. I tried back in August setting up an appointment for my husband to come in and drop off a sample as requested by his doctor. I had a very hard time getting in touch with people at the Buffalo location. They told me they were short a staff member, but someone would be in touch to set up the lab work appointment. I left multiple messages and to this day have not heard back. I ended up calling Buffalo IVF and they not only answered my questions but got us an appointment within 3 weeks of calling.
Great experience. The place inside is welcoming and beautiful making you very comfortable. Everyone from front desk, NP, Drs. , techs and nurses are very kind and down to earth. While I can understand while it can be confusing for others you really just need to know your ins plan when going into this to prepare yourself. I work in medical billing and when you work with 3 to 4 different people getting claims paid it is a process at times to get it straightened out. Took me over a year to get bill from quest (from my primaries office) straightened out. And as I said working in this filed its not uncommon. In the end it will come out correctly. But it does take time when you are deal with a few different hands in the pot. Also a lot of medical systems are programed to send a bill to collections after so many months of non payment which as a medical biller I would get calls about all the time and we would have to suspend that manually for a 3month period unfortunately till we had to do it yet again when the pt. received another bill. With that being said I know a handful of people who have come her with successes with IUI and IVF which is why I came here.
We were patients at Buffalo IVF first where we felt like a number. I was given post its by 3 random people over a 2 month period with the name Kris Ziegler on each, find her, she will get you pregnant each random stranger would say. I found her and she promised she would get us pregnant. We did IUIs, femara and eventually started IVF with help of a state grant. Kris would call or text me on as Sunday to talk about the next days appointment. The staff of nurses are amazing. They cried with me and cheered us on. Its a relaxing calm environment. You feel like you matter. This location wasnt ready for IVF yet but they did do everything they could here so we only drove to Syracuse twice. My son will be 4 months on the 25th. Fertility struggles can ve an isolating experience, your doctors office shouldnt feel that way: choose cny.
I recently completed my first egg donation at CNY Buffalo. My overall impression is that it’s a new, somewhat disorganized location that’s still working out the kinks. While the facility was homey and all of the staff members were very nice, it felt like they didn’t have a handle on me as a patient. The donation process wasn’t explained during my initial visits, and it was later discovered by one of the nurses that I was never given the literature typically given to new donors. If I hadn’t done my own research, I would’ve been completely in the dark. For instance, I wasn’t told until my final week of stimulation that the retrieval would take place at their Syracuse location! Another example of feeling like I was slipping through the cracks was when I was forgotten in a room for over 30 minutes. My blood had been drawn and I was waiting for a nurse to come in to do my vaginal ultrasound. 30 minutes went by and while I was debating whether I should get dressed so I could go say something, the nurse came in, apologizing profusely, saying she hadn’t been informed I was waiting. Also unsettling were the discrepancies in the information that was given. One example is when an MA told me I wouldn’t have a period upon completing a partial pack of birth control. This didn’t make sense to me, so I asked one of the nurses. She assured me I would indeed have a period and seemed surprised I’d asked.More alarming was the misinformation given to me about my travel arrangements to Syracuse. My retrieval was scheduled for a Friday morning, and I was told CNY would reimburse me if I wanted to stay at the Maplewood Suites the night before (which I did). After reading up on what to expect post-retrieval, I was concerned I wouldn’t be up for the 2.5 hour drive back to Buffalo that day. I decided it would be best to stay a second night in Syracuse on my own dime. However, since the reservations had to be made last-minute and my retrieval was on a Friday, I had trouble finding a vacancy at any of the nearby hotels. I emailed the nurse whom I’d been corresponding with all along asking if she had any suggestions, and she told me I would be fine to drive myself home. Luckily, I didn’t listen to her and continued my search until I found a room. On the day of retrieval, one of the things the nurse at the Syracuse office made sure of was that I had somewhere to stay afterwards. She was horrified when I told her I was given the okay to drive home. It even says on the discharge paperwork not to drive for 14-28 hours following the procedure! My impression of the Syracuse location was much more positive. The staff seemed competent and efficient as well as friendly. I met Dr. Corley and Elizabeth—an embryologist—beforehand, and both explained who they were and what they’d be doing. My nurse, Trish, was also great. The retrieval went off without a hitch. My advice to potential donors is if you’re at all uncomfortable with the clinic you’ve chosen, whether its CNY or elsewhere, you may want to reassess. Many clinics are primarily focused on prospective parents, and while I agree this is where the focus should be, donors are entitled to equally good care. If you feel like you’re not getting the medical attention you deserve, it may not be the right clinic for you.To potential patients of any sort: If you have your heart set on CNY, I would strongly recommend you use their Syracuse office if possible.
Both my primary and obgyn referred me here. I haven’t needed a lot of services as of yet, but my significant other did have a sperm analysis and I’ll be going in for an HSG test tomorrow. I have to say so far everyone is fantastic! very kind, easy to talk to and they seem to really want to help ease the financial aspect of their services.
After moving from Orlando Florida mid treatment, CNY took on our case with such care and concern that we are now expecting our first baby BOY in 6 weeks. With every bump in the road they provided a solution and I couldnt be more thankful for their support in such a difficult path to what will soon be one of the best days of our lives, the birth of our baby boy!
If you are an average heterosexual couple, I’m sure you’ll do fine here. We picked this facility as I am a female to male transgender individual and my fiancé is a biological female. The staff constantly misgendered me even after my fiancé nicely tried correcting by saying well, “HE...”. They asked questions that given the situation were extremely offensive, such as who is going to carry the baby. Since I wrote on my paperwork that I am male, and I also have a penis, testicles and no ovaries/uterus...it’s obviously not me. They also asked my fiancé if she’s ever had sexual relations with a man. Not a biological man, just a man. This is the point where we again clarified that I am a guy and it just got awkward. I felt like the success rates were being hyped up with nothing to back it up. How can you say my fiancé has an excellent chance before an exam or health history?
Just when I thought healthcare couldn’t get any worse, CNY proved me wrong. I’ve been trying to get my lab results for a month and they will not give it to me. I’ve sent multiple med records requests including one from another doctors office and they ignore it. I drove hours on a Saturday to let them draw 7 vials of blood and they don’t even have the decency to give me my results. Disgusting. You are just a number here, and they don’t even care enough to talk to you. They send you a novel to read after the initial teleconference, with papers to sign then scan and upload to a portal that doesn’t even work correctly. If you have a question, you have to use the portal messaging service that doesn’t even let you reply to messages like a normal chat does. Every response is a new message and your inbox is cluttered and you can’t respond directly. Very frustrating.
I love this facility the people that works here are absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for all the great work. And you can call anytime is all ways some one to answer all your questions.I love this facility the people are extraordinarily kind. Thank you for all that you do for us who want to be mothers, whether for the first time or the second time. You can call at any time they are always there to answer every question oh confusion. They treat you like family. Thank you for helping us on this journey that is so difficult for many. God bless me and continue with that beautiful service 🙌

2021-12-08This place is amazing and the staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. From day one I knew this was the IVF office for me. I felt welcomed! They listened to what I had to say and the gave me there guidance. I have not one negative or bad thing to say. Only great things! Thank you CNY staff for making me feel comfortable and welcomed. And I am a travel patient who has driven over 9 hours to this office and its definitely worth the trip in my opinion.

2022-07-07All of the staff at CNY are amazing! They are so kind and explain everything that they are doing and why. They make a difficult situation more bearable and are the most kind hearted genuine people I know. I have been coming here for months and have gotten to know the staff very well and they have gotten to know me. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a fertility specialist!

2022-03-20I called CNY facility and wow the phone staff is fantastic and patient. They couldnt give me an exact plan or cost but they were able to give me an idea of what the cost and process was going to look like. They were very helpful with my many questions. I did call a different fertility clinic prior (Buffalo IVF) and it was night and day. The receptionist at Buffalo IVF seemed to have no clue as to what the process might look like or an idea of cost. Nothing, she said I needed to come in for a consultation at $250 just for the doctor to tell me the possible steps and prices. I understand that she is not medical (I worked many years a medical secretary) but how do you have absolutely no clue of anything. I feel I definitely made the right choice.

2021-10-10These reviews appaul me We went to CNY after an awful experience at a different fertility specialist in WNY. CNY was amazing. They helped us figure out our true fertility issues after wasting over a year with a different specialist. Kris Z. Was phenomenal. She called me and changed my protocol even while she was off for her own health issues. Within a year we had our IVF baby. Now were getting ready to try for our second IVF baby and I cant wait to deal with the buffalo office again. While the travel team is not the easiest to deal with, Id rather there be a direct number to the buffalo office. And we did have to stay on top of the billing office last time because they were billing things as though they were from Syracuse for each visit so it looked to be out of network but they always fixed it when I called. Not a single nasty person, everyone was great and understanding from start to finish

2021-11-18Worst experience with a financial department that I have ever encountered. Received a bill stating a charge was never paid and attempted to contact them through their patient portal which is also only ever half updated and not checked. Could not reach by messages or calls for a month. Finally, when I spoke with someone I asked to go through the itemized charges on the account. I had called 3/10/21 to make sure the balance was zero before proceeding with IVF but then received a bill for services from 1/25/21 in 7/21. The rep in the billing dept advised it can take up to 6 months for a charge to show up and confirmed I called 3/10 to pay off the remaining balance (which was not cheap). Be aware the payments you make are not always applied to the charge that you think they are and make sure you keep your own VERY accurate records of charges and payments. I will not be working with them again, it has been nothing short of a nightmare between ill communication and a poor excuse of a billing dept.

2021-03-18I WOULD RECONSIDER HAVING A CHILD BEFORE I RECOMMEND CNY. While their office staff is very friendly, any interactions with the customer service reps over the phone is terrible. Long hold times before you get to speak with anyone and very poor customer service. Further, every time we had to pick up a prescription we get to the pharmacy only for the pharmacist to tell us they still need a prior authorization from doctors office, EVERY SINGLE TIME. This resulted in forcing us to pay out of pocket, more than once, for medication that we needed that day, we couldnt wait 24-48 hours for a prior authorization. My wife received treatment here for 1 year, during that time we spoke to an actual Doctor on one occasion. On top of all of this, I tried making a $2700 payment today through their online payment portal, I typed in all of my payment info and hit submit. The page said, Card Declined - Please check you information, I check to make sure everything is correct and hit submit, declined again. I think no problem, I will just call in to make the payment. Before doing so I check my bank account and the $2700 has been pulled from my account 2 times. When I spoke to the customer service rep on the phone she tells me its my fault for hitting submit twice and that it will be 1-2 days before the transactions are corrected. CNY has now taken over $5000 from me because their online payment portal declines the payments but still pulls the money out of your account. I now have $0 until they make the correction . Needless to say, my wife will be continuing treatment elsewhere. CNY only adds to an already stressful process with their poor customer service and processes. Like I said before, I WOULD RECONSIDER HAVING A CHILD BEFORE I RECOMMEND CNY FERTILITY.

2021-08-19Go anywhere else. Please. Two month wait for an initial consultation that was over 2 hours late on the day it was scheduled. Only to be immediately pressured into IVF without the doctor having any other information about me.I called constantly to make sure everything was proceeding as planned only to be stunned when they told me that nothing had been ready when I needed to start medication.I waited again and had to call repeatedly to get answers and they STILL havent even set up my protocol despite multiple calls. The people are nice, but this place is run so poorly. There doesnt seem to be any cross communication and you have to fight tooth and nail to get what you need. The hold times are ABSURD and their patient portal is basically a joke.

2021-09-22Treatments didnt seem to work for me and no other options were offered. Took 6 years with the same treatments to make embryos. Staff arent very discreet about patients information at the Buffalo location. Receptionists announced what every patient was there for out loud. Overall company isnt bad, just need some fixes.

2020-10-01I absolutely love this office! From the first time I stepped foot in there I felt welcomed, cared for, and I love everything about the place. Kris the NP And Dr. Chang are both AMAZING!! I love all the nurses too! We drive 4.5 hours to come here for my monitoring and I couldn’t have made a better decision by doing this! This is just a wonderful team and office!! We’re so glad we chose to come here!!

2019-11-24Im only giving it 2 star because when I first sign up for CNY fertility; CNY had told me that everything was paid for by my insurance. I went to get my eggs taken out in February and for IVF 2 weeks ago. Yes I have a baby on its way. But to find out a week later after the IVF I have a nice $45,000 bill. They should really take the time to tell you how much your really going be billed after having services by them; then telling u everything is paid for by your insurance. Unfortunately since Im in the middle of everything I have to continue services with them. Im hoping for now on they will be truthful on how much people will be billed for each service going forward.
