Id rather stay here than any high-end Motel.They treat you like family with awesome service, locally non chain owned. Amazing people and place! Id give it 10 stars. Stove, fridge, Laundry, plates,cups, coffeemakers,microwaves, walking distance store barbershop, bookstore, free Wi-Fi! Beautiful all around.*** pet friendly. ***
I love The Coachman! It is everything I want in a motel--a home away from home. I love the model A office, the take one, leave one library, the beautiful foliage on the sides and back of the motel offering great views, the cozy and accommodating rooms. My family and I stay here twice every summer, and we dont want to go anywhere else. :-)
If youre looking for a hotel with whirlpool tubs, fitness center, continental breakfasts, room service, then this is not the place for you.IF your looking for a great family owned hotel in a small town neighborhood with warm, friendly proprietors, and need a place to rest your head and relax then this is the place.The hotel is not new, does not have all the luxuries of a modern upscale hotel BUT is the perfect place to relax and is a great value!The rooms are clean, plenty of room to relax with a fully stocked kitchenette, sink, stove, coffee maker, microwave, dishes, pans, utensils, etc. The bedrooms are separate from the kitchen / living area with a door and the beds are comfortable. Living area has a nice comfortable couch, dinning table with chairs, lazy boy chair and large flat panel TV with cable along with free WiFi.Being a relatively older hotel, yes, there is a hint of mustiness at times but nothing that cannot be tolerated.

We loved staying here. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The management team go out of their way to be helpful and friendly, especially Jim. We will definitely stay there again.
Amazing little gem.. they let me grill in the lot. It had plates and silverware cups. Full kitchen. The surrounding neighborhood was semi questionable soon arrival.. but wow it was like a small apartment. Thank you definitely will be back at some point.
Bad experience when we planned to stay overnight. Big stain on the carpet. Some sort of animal like a squirrel running around up in the ceiling. We were moved to another room and just as we opened the door to go in a mouse ran in. We packed our car and left. I would not ever recommed staying here.
Beware! These people quote one rate & then after you stay for a little over a month, they charged my sister an extra $650! Their word is not to be trusted. Get what ever they say in writing. Cant believe it, my sister does a great deed in coming home to spend time with our mother in assisting living and this is what she has to deal with. Shame on them.
This place is great for me THE BEST OWNERS treat you like family ,I have stayed here exclusively when in Elmira area for work since sept.2016. And have already booked my visits through feb.2019.
Such a lovely place, rooms are spacious, amenities are plenty, especially loved the full kitchen!! Would stay there again for sure!!
They took great care of my Mama who has stayed with them several times. Very happy with them.

All the necessities. Nothing spectacular. Large, empty rooms are awkward.

2022-05-05I have posted a review that was both critical but stayed its a 4 star place. I take back my Saudi Arabia comment. This place is clean, calm, quiet. The manager is responsive, kind and understanding. Its comfortable and quite roomy. Fully furnished with everything. Its so nice I signed a lease. Very good location. Nice car wash, nice little bar within walking distance. The rooms from the outside looks like little townhouses. You feel safe.

2022-06-25The room they were putting homeless families into were infested with cockroaches. I was told an exterminator had come and that it would take some time for the bugs to die, but i dont believe anyone should be paying full price to live in those conditions.

2022-04-274.4 starts is a very giving rating considering the cleanliness, or lack there of, in the rooms. There is no smoking but the tar drips from the walls.... nothing is moved to vacuum or edged at all.... everything did function properly with the exception of the dryer that had to be fed 3x the amount of quarters.... biggest downfall is the nosey caretaker..... almost creepy. He asked questions that were absolutely none of his business. Second biggest downfall is the price! Are they serious? 120 a night to stay in this very dated, tar painted smelly suite.... laughable. In a pinch, sure.... if you have options, forego this noisy nook.

2022-03-05The two managers here are never around. They keep the office door locked almost all the time. They leave a number to call. When you do see them. They look like they just woke up. Plus the ppl staying here these days are loud.

And if you have kids on those really hot days the staff members will bring the sprinkler. out in the yard to let your children play. They have a coffee maker toaster mini fridgeAnd very very clean if I could give this place more than five stars I would.and free wifi

2016-11-06The owners of Coachman were superb. My stay had to be extended from one night to four and they were so nice about everything. My room was very clean and very well maintained, the rooms feel more like a cabin at the lake than a hotel room.When I come back to Elmira, Im staying here again.
