I love the Congo exhibit and how it mimicks the real place. Gorilla habitat was fantastic. This is a must see at the Bronx Zoo 😁
Fabulous gorilla exhibit and habitat!The educational aspect as to the danger to the species due to poaching is great, but needs to be more prominent (in my opinion!)
The zoo was upgraded. The mist of the rainforest is cool.

Always a great day at the zoo! This is by far the best zoo around. Its always clean & the staff are always smiling, friendly & helpful! There is so much to see & do, it has something for everyone! The animals look well cared for as well. On another note, they have your standard American fast food options at their cafe but the food is delicious, though a little pricey.
The exhibit was lots of fun and had all sorts of different animals. The gorillas were quite active and did all sorts of entertaining things. One of them even popped out from behind a log! Overall it was quite fun and not only did I learn about gorillas but I also got to support Okapis! It was very fun and I would definitely recommend it.😁

The Bronx Zoo is an amazing place! I was impressed by the teams caring for the animals. I love the natural habitats created to meet the needs of the animals and the many different species housed there. I cant wait to go back.
Beautiful I love this exhibit. The gorillas are amazing and funny, I wish humans were more peaceful when visiting this exhibit. Everyone can be on their phones and banging on the wall and using flash in their faces just not something I like to see. It’s my favorite place and if you are at the zoo give YourselfA good amount of time to really enjoy it.
If you go to the Bronx zoo this is a must see in my opinion. The exhibit was great. The Gorillas had a huge area to roam and interact. The zoo and the WCS are doing great work at keeping the Gorillas from extinction.In a perfect world we would not need facilities like this but the reality is that these are not only needed but critically needed to prevent extinction of the gorillas and is instrumental in protecting the gorillas habitat through education and alerting people of the issues.

The bronx zoo was great for me and the family if you plan for a whole day to spend there you still may not be able to see it all the exhibits are very realistic each area like youve been transported to that area of the globe and you get to explore every detail as though your really there Wednesday is the best day to go for a family as park admission is free highly recommend paying the 6.00/ person for the special exhibits though we did and it was awesome cant say enough very well laid out and the attention to detail is outstanding great family fun

Nice movie segment about discovering glaucoma in the eye of one and treating the eye. Didnt see many until you rounded a corner and found a family of five. They seem to like kale!
Horrifically depressing. No zoo staff to tell zoo visitors to not bang on the enclosure. Terribly ignorant tourists used flash photography continuously as the animals obviously were in distress. What used to be a great vehicle to earn funds towards wild life preservation, has become a for-profit machine of cutting staff, and budget monitoring. I detest this zoo now, and foresee its downfall in the near future.
Gorillas very into the guests. My kids love this exhibit. The zoo as a whole is extremely well maintained and clean. A defiant need to go spot

When i was little i went there and i had a freind gorilla i hope he hasnt died its been 7 years scine i saw him love this guy hope they didnt die :(
This exhibit is an additional charge, but was so well done that it is worth it. Also had helpful staff around to answer questions and point out things we might have missed.

As much as I HATE to see animals locked up, this is a beautiful exhibit. These gorillas are stunning creatures that play and interact with each other. Adorable.

My son really enjoyed sering the gorillas. It looks like they have a decent amount of space to move around in. More importantly, I love that they educate you about how they are in endangered and how you can help.
For the first time all the gorillas were performing for the visitors. It was a gray experience between catching food, posing and chilling in front of the glass window.

This exhibit is awesome BUT when I went for the zoo re-opening, it was closed. The two exhibits currently open are the petting zoo and the monorail.
Probably THE nicest gorilla exhibit in the entire country! I have been to over 70 Zoo & Aquariums over the last 11 yrs and this exhibit is the best gorilla one anywhere!
What is there left to say about this amazing area in the Bronx Zoo? Quite possibly the best gorilla exhibit in any zoo, the Congo also has other animals, such as the Okapi, Mandrill vand Red River hog. But the real stars are the western lowland gorillas. Two troops of these fascinating creatures call this home. Ranging from the two silverbacks, Ernie and Ntondo, to the small, but energetic juveniles. A must see.

Beautiful Rainforest in the middle of the Bronx in New York, 6 & 1/2 acres dedicated to Gorillas! The Male Silverback died last week, he was age 36!
They come right up to glass.

Well the time that I went it was free and I got to see the big silverback gorilla and three female gorillas and their are monkeys in the exhibit that are the same size as your hand

2020-01-05Seeing gorillas is amazing! They walked over and interacted with people through the glass. The older gorillas seemed relaxed while the young were all over the place, wrestling, jumping around and tusling with each other. I was not able to visit the whole zoo, but, I felt this is the best part of the park.

2019-11-14Great zoo facility. Was really impressed at this gorilla habitat, that looked exactly like a real forest. The gorillas look very healthy and well cared. The exhibit offers the opportunity to be at only meters away from the gorillas, separated just by glass. The experience of being so close to them really touched me, and greatly raised my awareness of the importance of the protection of these wonderful creatures.

2019-07-08Truly amazing. Gorillas looked at home and not stressed in their 6 acres. The staff were passionate about their conservation work. Really interesting and fantastic opportunities to view gorilla being gorillas!

2019-08-20Highly highly recommended for all ages. Its funt o walk through the habitats and watch amazing gorillas up close. Try to make it for gorilla feedings, all the kids seem to have enjoying a lot and cheering for gorillas to catch the fruit.

2019-06-25Went on my daughters field trip and loved this part of the zoo. It was amazing to see the gorillas and very clear they are well taken care of. If visiting the Bronx zoo, I definitely recommend!

2018-11-17I really love gorillas, but it would be much better if it was possible to watch the gorillas around, because now only one side is open for watching and when they went to the other side of the cliff we waited for them for half an hour

2019-07-08Love it!! The gorilla forest is nice. One of the gorilla decided to go to the glass and hit it, and scare my 2 year daughter. It was a nice memory lol. They are maby gorrilla and they like to walk all around. It worth it.

2019-10-05Visited the Bronx Zoo. Loved it. Great afternoon outing. We took about 3.5hrs to see about 3/4 of the park (didnt go to the birds and mouse sections or else it would probably be 4-5hrs long). We were more interested in the larger animals. Lots to walk and see. Great experience. You should buy the total experience tickets (only $17 more) because that allows you to see all areas the park (baboons, gorillas, jungle world and children activities). Make sure to ride the monorail in Asia world, it was a cool experience and you get to see more animals.
