Love this place.Ive come here multiple times already and i am always happy with the quality of the seafood. Its always fresh and tasty.I always buy oysters from here. The gentleman inside will open them up for you with no problem. I normally take them to go which i like better. Out of the dozen i get, theres always two or three with pieces of shell inside. So i take my time ensuring theres none before i eat it. But they are so tasty.Although its wintertime, the outdoor bar is still there where you can add hot sauce, cocktail sauce and others to your oysyers if you wish to eat them on the spot. They serve them with big wedges of lemon as well. Love that.Overall i really love this place. Its really clean. Everyone inside is so friendly. They have a variety of fresh items. The prices are good. I will continue to visit.

This place has so many different kinds of fish! We knew we were coming here and we brought a small cooler bag to transport the fish home. We got a whole small dorado, couple of whole squids, and sardines. We love to cook fish and we can’t wait to make them! The outdoor oyster bar also looked really good. We will probably try it next time:-) if you coming to buy fish I recommend to bring a small cooler, especially on a warm day:-)

Today I became a fan of the raw oyster bar. I have walked past it many time before and never thought to try. They have such a large variety and work quickly to get them prepared. No so bad pricing for fresh oysters.

This fish market is like nothing else in New York. Everything is fresh fresh fresh. Lots of great prices. Oysters are great. And you can actually buy the types of fish that are impossible to find anyplace else. Pompano -Durado - sea bass large sardines.

Ive been in Love with these fresh early Morning clams, Forever. I just recently visited, and fell back into Heaven. Their still, So fresh, so clean, and my Main Man is still there serving you schucked piece of Life. A passerby watched me consumed them wirh pleasure, and asked what are they? I replied try some Life Baby. He purchased one at first, and I instructed him on the proper condiments, special ketchup, lemon, and a splash of Hot sauce. He consumed it, and puchased 3 more.

We love coming here to eat fresh raw oysters and clams. You can have them standing out right on the street! #1 reason my wife comes to the neighborhood.Only problem is they’re closed Sundays.

Cosenzas is one of the anchor businesses that keeps Arthur Avenue going. If you want a classic Italian seafood market, it doesnt get much better than this. If it swims and Italians cook it, odds on it will be here. They even have specialty items, such as squid ink and cuttlefish. Prices are fair and the staff is knowledgeable across the board. Main problem is that this place is up in the Bronx! My favorite thing to do it get oysters and/or clams fresh on the street. Youre basically paying the market prices for them, so its a pretty good deal. During the week when its nice outside, they setup some plastic tables and chairs so you can make a lunch out of it.As for whether Cosenzas is better than Randazzos down the block, I dont know. Both have high quality seafood. I generally prefer Cosenzas because of location (lazy, I know) and because they typically have more varieties of oysters at their raw bar. I like my clams cooked and oysters raw. If youre on Arthur Avenue, this is a must visit!

Asked for a trout fillet and they made me buy the whole fish so that they would do it. Took it home and found that it still had every single bone intact. Could not debone it myself because they removed the tail. Absolutely livid. I paid so much money for literally nothing. Im going to have to throw this out just because I literally cannot fix this. Terrible.0/5 if it was an option.
