I have stayed at this location a few times now, and have only spoken to the staff in passing. They are always at the desk and ready if you need something, but with mobile check-in and check out and mobile key I have never had to interact with anyone.I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Long Island. The rooms are always clean and ready. I personally just like being able to check in a little early and go to my room after a long night and morning of work.
Stayed 2 nights for a weekend wedding. Room was very clean. Comfy beds. Lots of plugs in the room as well as usb plugs. Decent water pressure in shower. Fridge was cold. Microwave worked. Starbucks coffee available in the morning with grab and go breakfast. Nice back patio with grills. Fire pit at night. My only complaint is their “24 hour” fitness center is only open 9a-9p which you need to make a reservation and the front desk has to let you in. I understand this is a Covid measure, but I had been anticipating working out in the morning, but wasn’t able to. You also need to make a reservation for the pool which was so small my kids declined swimming. I did not get a chance to eat at the Bistro.Near Target and Carrabbas, which was convenient.
There is just so much to say about this property and more importantly, the stewards of this comfortable establishment who represent the Marriott brand in such a genuine way to include: a caring and well trained staff, remarkable leadership and management, well organized offerings like clean facilities, ample parking, large rooms w everything u need, amenities to relax, refresh and recharge on any day of the week. Now I have to tell you my story. I am from out of state and needed to go into the area for an incredible friend who we lost and wanted to honor him by being present for the services. It was a tall order but I had to find a way to make it. I called around for the best fit based on my budget. When I spoke w CJ, their “in the know” and empathetic top guy exhausted all options, discussed each opportunity then ultimately finding me the perfect solution. It was complicated, but resulted in a peaceful stay during a difficult time. The best part is what happened a few weeks later. I had an emergency and needed to get back in town ASAP to help friends. I got in the truck and just got on the road and said “I’ll figure it out”. I get close to town, late at night and make a few calls asking about rooms (anywhere). Mind you, I don’t have a good idea of the area. One call after another and I was constantly let down, pushed away, hung up on, told “can’t help u” and “good luck finding something”. I decided before I left for the trip that I would sleep in the truck if I had to. I ended up speaking w Jeremy on the phone next. He completely read the urgency I had w an impossible budget. Jeremy found me a room and made it work for me. I pull in very late w the truck looking for a well lit and open area to park. I can’t believe it! I quickly realize… this is the SAME hotel that I met CJ who helped me last time. It’s a kind reminder that ppl will give when they can and also being decent to each other isn’t hard and doesn’t cost anything. Thank you for the support and being ready to do your jobs and more as always. Looking forward to mistakenly getting a room there again in the future. I truly hope all of their staff is recognized for this and of course, Jeremey’s attention and CJ’s kindness. Take care and best wishes all
Good rate for suite per night,,, customer service was good.. but didnt like the colors or the layout of the room,,,, my bed was in an alcove right up against window,,, and the color of the walls and door was a deep dark maroon,,, and waste of space,, it was like a kitchen with a bed and bathroom,,, need to change the coloring of room and re work the layout
The hotel was nice and the actual room was clean. It needed better lighting though. I do have a couple complaints. The shower door wouldn’t stay closed. There was some mildew around the edges of the shower base on the inside. I was only given one bar of soap. The shampoo bottles the hotel refills for the shower unit burned my scalp (type of shampoo they used). Since there is no housekeeping the shower gel container was empty. I prefer individual toiletries over the “communal” ones at this hotel.
Generally, the stay at this hotel was adequate. I was disappointed when I arrived and was told there was a business center (with computers that dont work) but when I looked for it the following day was told that there wasnt one and had to take the meeting in the lobby. The room itself wasnt as clean as desired. There were marks in the bathroom, on the rug and wall. There was moderate noise from the neighbors (voices, tv, doors) and you could hear footsteps above and in the hallway. The breakfast was sparse and although Covid19 likely impacted food services, other stays in hotels demonstrated a good ability to provide continental breakfast. The lobby was clean and updated and the grounds outside were nice. I would stay here again but with adjusted expectations.
We stayed this property for a local baseball tournament recently . There was also a wedding party in the hotel. The staff accommodated every need you have. For instance - at 7:30 on a Saturday the coffee ran out and was refreshed within two minutes by the front desk manager! In the guest rooms you can tell that the staff pays attention to detail- clean, comfortable and cool when we walked in.
Truly felt comfortable & safe at this hotel. Covid protocols in full effect. This made our first trip in almost a year, less stressful during this pandemic. Every staff member we encountered during all times during our stay were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast with a soccer tournament in full force, could have been a disaster. They ALL jumped in to accommodate players & parents so we could grab coffee & breakfast and be on our way. (I would suggest filling the continental breakfast bar to its fullest capacity and with double the amount of coffee urns for that many people staying). And within all those employees helping, included the happiest janitor I’ve ever seen - grabbing the trash out of the way for the next wave. (African American, trim, quick on his feet!) The location was perfect with the soccer fields across the street. And the rooms & bathrooms were squeaky clean. Then they gave us a late checkout so my daughter could shower & change after her last game for the 4 hour ride home. Thank you for making our weekend so great!
This hotel is very clean and modern. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The outdoor areas are perfect for gathering and relaxing. Every person who works at this hotel is extremely nice, polite and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel, and I will stay here every time I visit this part of Long Island.
We reserved an extended size room of 2 queen and sofa bed. When we first got in the room I noticed it was smaller than what I seen online. I went to the front desk to ask for a bigger room size and they said I had the biggest room size. So I went back to the room to start unpacking with my family. We noticed there were stains all over the couch, wall, and floor. I called and requested another room. They gave us another room on a different floor and this room was way bigger then the last. I found that interesting after I asked them for a bigger room when we first got there . The guy at the front desk lied to us. This room had plenty of space for a family of 5 plus two TVs and 3 extra chairs whereas the last room had one tv and no chairs at all.... so we start to unpack in this room and notice there are also stains on the couch and floor. The edging of the wall by the refrigerator was coming apart. At this point we were exhausted from travel and did not feel like switching rooms. It also took them hours to get us remotes for the tv... later on we reserved pool time for the kids to swim and when we went down there people were in the pool swimming during our pool time so we had to let the front desk know about that. Then I called to schedule pool time for the next day and they told me I had to call in the morning to get times. I went downstairs to get something to drink and heard people at the front desk scheduling pool times for the next day but they just told me I could not schedule until the morning. So I called in the morning at 6am and there were no pool times available. I was pretty upset especially because they lied again. Also, when I was downstairs I heard other people complaining about the rooms as well... I will not be coming back and do not recommend this hotel. To much confusion and false information given to us.
Affordable rooms, very clean and spacious. Fridge was a decent size. Television works great. Bathroom was clean and modern. Room service eachbmorning. Pool was great and they observe social distancing and adjusted hours for the pool. Rooms are often rented out by young adults from the surrounding area for birthdays and such so it can get rowdy if you happen to be on that floor.
The hotel looks new, but my room was dusty, and I had been sneezing since I walked into it. The front desk gentlemen who took care of us was so rude not just to us but also to other group members. New hotel, but it seems like it won’t be new for too long. I didn’t feel bad for me checking in to rude personnel but primarily for others entering this property.
With COVID, the hotel management has done a good job of maintaining a clean and safe environment. The pool and exercise rooms are still open but they require you to schedule your time so they can clean between parties. The desk has a plexiglass and the front desk staff has a mask on. The restaurant is closed and even though they provide breakfast, it is a grab and go option with the common items (juice, milk, oatmeal packets, a fruit and yogurt). The main lobby is kept clean and is very inviting and nicely decorated. The room was clean and we did ask when the room was last occupied to reduce risk exposure. Our particular room, compared to other hotel rooms weve been in (and weve been to a lot since we travel frequently for business and pleasure), had a lot of visible stains from food that seemed to have been there for a while. They did not drastically affect the feel of the room for us so we didnt ask for another room. We did manage to use the extra flat sheet from the sofa bed sheet set to drape over the sofa to cover the stains. I think a bigger end table would have helped to prevent those stains especially if people were eating meals while seating on the sofa. The bathroom was clean and I love the shower stall set up. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash were in bottles in the stall. There was a coffee maker, small fridge and microwave in the room.If the stains were not there and the breakfast options were more varied, we would have given our stay an Excellent rating. We would still consider staying at this location in the future.
This is a great location and easy access for business or just an relaxing evening. The hotel was well kept wouldn’t expect nothing less from Marriott, From a 1 star to a 5 star Marriott hires the most professional staff at all locations that I’ve ever experienced, staff welcomes you the second you arrive. Unfortunately no bar or food due to Covid, however coffee is available at all times.
We chose this hotel to be close to family. It is a very nice place in a good location. The staff is wonderful, the whole facility is very clean and the rooms are comfortable. We visited the pool with a grandchild and no one else was there. It is well maintained. We would recommend this place and will stay here again.
I dont want to say anything negative because I think my issue was minor but should be corrected. My first visit there and there was a dirty tissue behind the trash in bathroom along with crumbs/dirt behind bathroom door . Fortunately for me ,aside of the current pandemic I always come with my own disinfectants, all purpose cleaners, antibacterial wipes, and fresh linen. Therefore I didnt make a complaint I just recleaned it myself which would have been done anyway. I would recommend this hotel as I did have a pleasant stay and I would stay there again in the future.

Absolutely a delight and wonderful place to stay. State of cleanliness was excellent, staff very professional, courteous and poised. While many of the amenities have been discontinued, the staff was very accommodating to the services that they could provide. I was checking out at 5am....the young lady on the front desk without my request, went and prepared me a breakfast bag to go! What a treat for a 5 hour drive back to DC. It surely came in handy! Thats service above required... Laudable!!!! Whenever I am in NY this will be my hotel of choice, because of the stay....but more importantly, the commitment of the staff!!!
Negatives: Awful room: Faucet leaked all over the counter; handle of shower fell off; toilet seat broken; hot and stuffy because air conditioning went on and off - mostly off; only 1 chair and a weird, flat piece of furniture that required crawling to use - with no table for a drink; charged $5.00 for 1 oz body lotion; breakfast sparse. Positives: clean and nice staff that provided good service.
Our stay was good up until Saturday night. When I returned from my wedding that I was attending, 2 people were sleeping on the sofas in the lobby. The next morning when we had a family breakfast no one was available to empty the garbage cans. They were over flowing which was embarrassing for the family and the hotel. Though I don’t know how much the hotel cared as no one ever came to check on us . We had to ask for bags to empty the garbage our selves.
Jeremy went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. From extra towels to even finding a missing stuffed animal and sending it to its proper home, the service at Courtyard was phenomenal. Thank you to Jeremy and the kind staff at Courtyard Islip; can’t wait to stay again!
This Courtyard was nice but it has paper thin walls! During our stay, the neighbors were enjoying each other, I mean really enjoying each other. At one point I had cover my daughter’s ears. The breakfast was weak. I could have gotten a better selection from a vending machine.
The hotel was perfectly equipped for our needs. It was spacious and clean. And included a microwave and mini fridge which was perfect since I had to store pumped breastmilk. The cable was glitchy but I never complained so I could tell you how the service was for that, we didn’t need to watch tv to care that much. The breakfast was delicious, I got a breakfast bowl. But it did take a long time to prepare, there only seemed to be one person in the kitchen and one person in the front which seemed odd for a Sunday morning.
I dont often leave hotel reviews as most hotels are all the same however I had to make an exception for this one. Very friendly staff. The lobby, hallways and room all looked and smelled very clean. The room itself had a very modern, and surprisingly spacious design. With a couch, desk, ottoman, cabinets, microwave and comfortable bed. The bathroom was well stocked and furnished. The whole hotel was well lit as well. The TV even had Netflix downloaded on it which was an interesting feature we used before bed.All around great stay, different than the bland hotels visited before.
I decided to take a couple of me days. I know we are still going thru Covid-19 but I needed a break. This hotel followed Covid protocols. The rooms are modern. They have an indoor pool, a bar but my favorite common space was the patio with 2 firepits. It was very inviting and I loved sitting out under the stars.
I love its super cleaning all rooms and pool was heater so warm and I like firepike .I saw firework on Saturday night from duck games and so cool 😎 night out!!! Cant wait to go back I had so much fun there the the ducks the ducks stadium was driving next door I had so much fun going over there and seeing no fireworks on Saturday
Spent one night here and this specific location is very modern. The decor, layout and style throughout the hotel was beautiful. Employees were very professional and down to earth. They knew all the local spots if you wanted to go anywhere in specific and the lobby/lounge area is very inviting and nice. I only wish that the bar/restaurant was open longer. I believe it closes at 10pm which is kind of a waste if you ask me. They have a wonderful lounge area and even outside lounge area that it would be better if they kept it open just a bit later. Overall, my stay was great and can’t complain about anything. Thank you!
Ok place to stay but Marriott has lost their feel for customer satisfaction! As an Elite member spending 30+ nights a year in Marriott hotels, you would think I could at least have a bottle of water with the so called grab & go breakfast? Maybe time to give Hilton my business!
I like Marriott hotets but I was not very happy with this hotel. My room was needed better clean and toilet was broken.Location is good for people with car - nothing to do in walking distance.Hotel share territory with Resident Inn and this place looks good. They have small pond with a fountain.Breakfast was pretty good especially in that pandemic time. You can grab yogurt or milk, cereals, fruits and juice. If you like nature you can ride to Bayard Cutting Arboretum. Very nice place to visit.
The room was excellent and spacious. We got the garden view room and it was great . The garden had all facilities of barbecue and a fire pit. The lobby was also nice with lots of space to hang around. The staff was extremely nice. Only problem was the bath accessories. Did online check in and added extra bath accessories required , however they were not placed in the room. Also we were 4 people in the room but only 3 sets of towels were placed. This should be taken care of when guests add number of people in the room. Also I was surprised when there was no body lotion in the room and when I asked for it at the reception, they said they don’t provide a body lotion . Thus is unheard of and never thought Marriott will not provide body lotion.
Room was clean, the staff was super friendly, there was not hot breakfast so they just put (bottle) orange juice , (small carton)milk, cereal, apples, bananas, coffee, yoghurt and oatmeal, i think that it.It was very overprice(over 200 for a night) to be honest but I stayed there because my friends weeding was close by.
Hotel was nice but staff was very unhelpful and rude. Here are just a few examples out of many the I experienced. Day 1when we got there and it was a 7 hour drive, I needed a cup of coffee, so I walked over to bar where customers were sitting and waited 20 minutes for assistance. I asked for a cup of coffee and she said there is none made and she didnt feel like making any but if I come back in morning, I can have one. Day 2 we only had 1 towel in our room so I asked the cleaning staff for 1 and she said I dont have extras to give out, I said ok and she said I can give you one rudely. Also on 4 separate occasions the front desk had no change to make a purchase. I charged to my room 2 of the times and the other 2 my daughter could not purchase the item. These are just a few examples. I would not recommend or stay here again due to the rude and unhelpful staff.
The hotel is beautiful. Our room was spacious and accommodating. We were happy to see that we were able to watch Netflix and HBO in our room. The only complaint I have is the price! For how much we paid we expected maybe a free breakfast but we were disappointed to learn that breakfast was served in the lobby for ridiculous prices. Other than the price, the stay was great.
The staff was very courteous. The rooms were contemporary and were very comfortable. I left my phone case in my room, the cleaning staff handed it in reception and Casey left me a vm informing the same. I appreciate the integrity of the cleaning staff and appreciate the staff members for reaching out to me on the same. I frequently travel for my job, I would say this is one of the best among the Marriott hotels I stayed so far.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were all very nice and friendly. The hotel was comfortable and nice. The rooms were nice but 1. there was no lotion in the bathrooms, 2. our toilet paper holders were broken and didnt work very well to hold the paper, and 3. there were no hooks to hang anything up. There was one lonely towel bar that didnt accommodate us at all. We were 3 adults, couldnt really hang our used towels conveniently which made it difficult for us to try and be green and reuse our towels. We also had wet bathing suits that were difficult to hang for drying. The rest of the hotel was very nice and the courtyard out back was beautiful. Would have loved for the fire pit to burn a little later than 10pm. There should also be some sort of warning before the sprinklers come on at night. As for the pool. When we went it was fine but the were no towels stocked at the time and the walls in the pool room cause everything to echo and its really uncomfortably loud.
Dinner was delicious at the Bistro. The team of ladies did an amazing job caring for our order. Very fresh!Rooms, building and pool and gym room were very clean and newly renovated. Bed was super comfy! Front desk staff was very friendly. They helped us with our requests with enthusiasm and care. The heated pool was a huge plus, my daughter had a blast.
Stayed at the Courtyard LI Islip/Courthouse Complex Aug 24th, in town for a wedding. This Marriott offered a clean and relatively comfortable stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The site was super clean, bright and airy. The rooms were updated, so super fresh feel.My only negative was the softness of the bed and pillows - but that is a personal choice, I guess. My husband didnt have any issues with the softness of the bed.
The hotel was decent but the service was Awful. The breakfast selection was sparse at best. They did not make the beds or change the towels. The wifi was slow or nonexistent. When you ask for help, they give you a number to do your own repair on the service. Seriously??? I could go on but Id just like to forget I ever came here.
This property seems to be a good property for an overnight stay but not for an extended stay. Arranging housekeeping was difficult. The desk seemed to have an issue with getting maintenance or housekeeping to respond to requests. Food and drink were excellent and property was beautiful. Our room was perfect except for a problem with the toilet seat which took a couple of calls to fix. Billing was incorrect as to points not being used properly and I had to fix it.
This hotel was beautiful. It was honestly one of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in and I travel a lot. The new renovations made the rooms spacious and modern and comfortable. The bathroom was oversized and really well designed. As someone with a background in design I was impressed with some of the smaller features. I stay in this area often and will certainly book here again.
Pros: 1. The staff is professional and personable. 2. The decor and rooms are beautifully designed. 3. Onsite diner/bar. 4. Conveniently located to locate sports park.Cons: 1. Housekeeping can provide a more in depth cleaning; The chair and ottoman are filthy. Dont forget to check under the seat cushions! 2. The in-room coffee maker was dirty; filled with old water. At least I assume it was water. 3. The diner food was ridiculously OVERPRICED!OVERALL: A great place to stay!
Affordable last minute stay. Room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a king room with sofa bed. It was great for my husband and I and our two children aged 4 and 8. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Our home away from home. Thank you guys for a pleasant stay
These people talk bad about guests in the hotel lobby and dont hide it. They are loud and obnoxious and most important, disrespectful. The cleaning people are a joke, too. Dont even bother complaining that your room hasnt been cleaned because they will send someone (after you complain multiple times and hours after your initial complaint) who will barely even do anything. Rooms are insanely small but the bathroom is huge which is nice if it didnt eat up usable space. Prices are way too high for what you get. Overall, terrible experience. The Residence is way nice than the Courtyard. Do not recommend Courtyard.
It was a stay for my son and his family, all I can say is that it was a great idea. Ive had the pleasure of spending a whole day at the Courtyard with the family. And while I were there Ive taken advantage of most of the what was to offer, with what the weather allowed. Indoor pool, a gym with just the right cardio equipment. A well known coffee shoppe and lounge area and an unexpected mini grocery. A stay well worth it.
The location was great for what we needed. We took a short Uber to the ferry to go to fire island. The rooms were very nice, the beds were super comfy. Kassie at the front desk was very friendly and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Only a couple things I would change, the pillows are a little soft and the water pressure was a little low. The bathrooms otherwise were very clean and very nice designed.
Their Central Islip location has a nice modern feel. Our room was squeaky clean, and the staff were extra courteous. The walk-in shower is definitely a major plus! Very comfy and serene, making it super-easy to de-stress. Would definitely recommend, and hopefully visit again
My first time visiting but it won’t be the last. As soon as I walked into the room I was amazed. The decor and the lighting is amazing. Also the bathroom was so beautiful with a walk in shower, I loved it. The overall size of the room was more so on the tiny side but I really enjoyed my stay. Will definitely be back!
This place was amazing! Great food and service. Room was nice and cozy when we first checked in. When we paid for food, it was a quick slide of the card and it was paid for. The room also had a great view. The pool and workout areas where a great addition to this wonderful place. Overall. I rate this place a 5 star review. I will be sure to come back again!
Overall I really loved this hotel, it was very clean, the beds were so comfy, large shower, and the decor was absolutely beautiful. Personally I feel like the room was on the smaller side for the high price but I did like this particular hotel. I had small issues upon check-in and was given the wrong room. When I came back down to have the issue resolved the original woman at the front desk needed assistance to fix the problem and the associate who came to help her questioned my need for wanting the room I booked and payed for.
Location is great, there’s a Bistro with nice food, not a huge selection, but ok.Coffee is always brewing. Our stay was for a wedding, 11 rooms booked, gift bags left for the rooms were not all given out, our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. There was no special doing for coming back to the room after the wedding, no champagne, no roses as asked, not even a heart towel, would have been that much more romantic, guess this isn’t the place for that.
The bed was most comfortable. The room design and appointments are well designed and pleasant. Overall effect is light and airy with a touch of ocean elements. Visually very pleasant rooms. The room and the staff met our expectations. Would definitely stay at a similar Marriott in the future.
The hotel has beautiful styling and updated an modern (Just opened 1/2018). However the room lacked cleanliness. My shower had hair all over it and I had ants on the floor. Many of the ice machines were inoperable so we had to get ice from the front desk. After three attempts to get coffee that wasnt cold we gave up. We had breakfast and it was very expensive and took a long time. If this hotel continues to be managed this way it will look very bad in a year.
I chose this hotel because of the close proximity to family I was in town visiting. It is modern, stylish, clean and has the best amenities of any hotel I’ve stayed in on Long Island. The staff is professional & courteous. The rooms are large & the walk-in shower was very nice. The option to get Starbucks drinks in the lobby in the morning was an added bonus.
Room was clean and comfortable. There was some noise in the night both nights on the floor above me, people going up and down the hall. Breakfast and coffee are good, but take a bit of time, not quick at all. I would stay here again, as it was clean and the bed was comfortable. But, would ask for the most quiet room they can provide.
I arrived at 11:15pm and there were a few people checking in at that time. The Front Desk specialist was very pleasant, friendly and quick. Parking lot was great with lots of spots close to front door area which is good from a safety standpoint. Room was nice, plenty of lighting with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. I always stay at Courtyards as they are consistent and a great hotel for personal or business stays.
Im torn because the building is nice and the staff was friendly. Amenities are up-to-date(USB plugs and outlets everywhere 👌🏽) but our room was missing the basic of things...No lotion in the bathroom, the mounting unit the iron sits on was pulled out of the wall with very little strength, & we only had 2 large towels. Id stay again for sure, hopefully with a better experience next time.
Staff is not the friendliest or most helpful, breakfast (or even just coffee) service is SUPER slow, if you have a noisy neighbor, you will hear EVERYTHING. Otherwise, the room is comfortable, clean, updated, and outlets are convenient, it has a microwave and fridge. Fitness center is decent, patio area is very nice for relaxing, housekeeping does a good job.
As a Gold Elite member of Marriott, I have to say this brand and location were very disappointing. After checking in we quickly discovered a piece of gum stuck to the wall directly next to the pillow on one of the beds. Not really sure how housekeeping could miss it. Shortly after that discovery we came across some type of long crawly insect in the bathroom. When I went to grab a tissue to kill it, the tissue box was empty. Not really feeling confident about their cleaning at this point. And we have only been here for two hours. Can’t wait to see how the rest of the night goes.
Staff is friendly enough. Next to a courthouse so heavily court customers. Does not serve complimentary breakfast and food items are high as expected of a Marriott establishment. But fortunately (or unfortunately however you look at it) no incidentals (mini fridge). Pool is limited access based on time. And rooms are best suited for 1-2 guests at a time.
My stay at this establishment went above and beyond! The female manager [I apologize, I do not remember her name] was more than accommodating! The ENTIRE staff was very friendly and very helpful. Our room was immaculate and very spacious. The bathroom, also, was very spacious and the shower was beautiful! I will DEFINITELY be staying there again on my next visit to Long Island!
The hotel was clean. The staff was amazing. These are the only things keeping me from giving this the worst rating I could give. My first night I slept awful because the temperature in my room fluctuated so much. I set the AC on 68 and I would wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat. I would check the thermostat and it would say 74. I could feel cold air start coming out and I would go back to bed to wake up in a few hours drenched in sweat again. On my second night I couldn’t get my room to stay cool so I called the desk. They sent an engineer to my room who explained that the thermostat was motion sensitive and that if it didn’t sense motion it would revert back to it’s programmed setting. I couldn’t get a good night of sleep for the entire 5 nights I stayed there because of this. Despite the polite and professional staff and the cleanliness of the hotel it was not an enjoyable stay because of the fluctuation in temperature inside my room
Manager Eileen will put unauthorized charges on random cards of yours, pool is always cold ( the pool was a big selling point for us ) & there are no perks such as free coffee or tea.I put 2 stars instead of 1 because the rest of the staff are great/always friendly & accommodating.
The room was large, attractive, and clean, but the set up just wasnt convenient for a large family... There is no dressing area outside of the bathroom. The sink and mirror is located inside the shower area, so if one person is bathing, another cannot get prepared.. One had to wait for another to blow dry hair and do makeup before the other could even begin to get ready. Just not a good setup.. I also think the rooms were overpriced comparatively.
Nothing major wrong, but the room felt cramped. I would 100% rather have a complimentary breakfast over a made to order-time can be everything in the morning. I have never needed a hotel where I can get a beer at night or needed food in the evening-seems pointless to me. I can only give this a fair rating even though nothing was horrible, just inconvenient for a lot of the little things.
I will say the hotel its self is very nice.. rooms are big and cozy outdoor area is very relaxing... however the staff and service here sucks... the front desk crew are young kids and they are rude and dont help at all... they are under staffed at the hotel bar and you wait forever to get any type if service or food. There is no manager to be seen in the whole place. For what we paid just for 2 nights I would not ever stay here again ..Hope this review helps the next person decide where to stay.
My stay from friday to monday was affordable plesant and lovely! The staff could not be nicer if they tried extreamly clean inside and out pool and gym are open during the covid standards 9am to 6 pm for the pool 9am to 9pm for the gym. They have an amazing courtyard with a fire pit and multiple bbqs the rooms are amazing comfortable and super clean
Place is clean the rooms are very nice. This place has everything you would want from a Marriott but holy heck they charge through the nose for simple stuff. Lost a star due to not having a breakfast service at all you have to go to the little food court and pay twelve dollars for an egg sandwich. You would think they could offer a waffle or even fruit with the amount of money it costs to stay here....
Hotel is new, and beautiful. We booked the hotelAs a surprise ‘staycation’ for our children. We love making memories, and we’ll they love just vegging out in a hotel and being able to swim, especially in the winter. That was the biggest down fall, the pool wAter was not only FrREEZING, the room the indoor pool was in was also FREEZING! We specifically picked this past weekend for our daughter a birthday, and it was far to cold to even swim. We mustered up the guy to go in for 2 short times, but it was far to cold. This is definitely a HUge downfall, and a make or break it for us.
My wife and I stayed there on Thanksgiving and found the rooms and service very nice. My father passed away the Friday before Christmas and the Marriott was our 1st choice. The Marriott Experience didn’t let us down. From the rate to the ease of check in it was great. It was one less thing I had to worry about. Thanks
When checking in, ask for a room that doesnt connect to another room or you will hear everything from your neighbors room. Food services on the weekend should be extended to 11am. There is nothing within walking distance to grab food so need more options at the property.
The front desk staff was pretty helpful and friendly. However, the AC continuously reset itself and the temperature continued to climb. Also there was CONSTANT banging around in the room upstairs and hallways outside the room. Sound insulation is a definite problem.I wasnt thrilled with the maid service noisily cleaning and vacuuming at 9 AM either.
Build is so new that some of the outdoor seating has yet to be fully unwrapped. Ultra-contemporary and modern in design and ambiance. Oddly already experiencing random technology issues, such as charging ports in side tables lacking power and side entrance doors that are inoperative. Staff was pleasant and efficient, but no upgrade offered on a platinum check in (property may lack suites; did not inquire). Overall, high marks for a property that outperforms its corporate tier and is deserving of higher grading, unlike the myriad properties substantially overrated in nearby Nassau, Queens or Kings counties.
Hotel was clean and well maintained, Staff were great and helpful, although I didnt use it the pool seemed cleaned never saw it being used, No hot tub, there is a basket ball court outside. a few good restaurants in the area. found the Bistro a bit over priced good for a quick snack and a beer or drink.
We are elite Marriotts members. That being said, this was disappointing. This is a NEW COURTYARD HOTEL. Although clean, the maid service is disappointing. Room not properly serviced, supplies lacking, and when you ask Housekeepers for help, well Hello attitude! We always tip housekeepers, but not this time. I dont tip for attitude. The air conditioning in the room would not go below 68, and I was told, so sorry, it just doesnt. Well , very unacceptable. AT$ 284 A NIGHT IT BETTER BE!! THE FRONT DESK STAFF WAS PLEASANTLY TRYING TO HELP, BUT HOTEL POLICY SUCKS. WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
Love staying here its so clean and comfortable-the bed the best. Big tv where you can connect your netflix!! only complaint is they dont seem to refill the shampoo and conditioner that smell so good! like a spa. so its sad when they are running low. But besides that its perfect. front desk is always pleasent.
We recently stayed at Courtyard Long Island Islip/Courthouse during a vacation. The hotel was extremely clean, the room large and comfortable, the staff was very helpful, and the outdoor space was among the more beautiful Ive ever seen for this type of hotel. The pool was a bit small, but my kids were so thrilled with the outdoor space that that didnt bother them too much. Everyone in my family enjoyed our time there.
We had a room next to the storage area for the bar/ cafe, and heard rolling/ thunder noises every evening. Not intolerable, but not great. Also, this is one of the few places Ive stayed where breakfast is NOT INCLUDED in the room price. Breakfast prices were fairly high as well. Food prices overall were high; go up the street to the retail area, they have several restaurants.
I checked in around mid night and the toilet in the bathroom is not working. Because it’s midnight I don’t want room service so I used the toilet in the 1st that night and the second morning. I the told the front desk to help to mending it during the day time. And she said she will do it now, After I went back at night! Nothing changed at all! I really want to leave a picture to show that toilet!!! So disappointed! And no noice protection at all! I can hear every noice from corridor and the other room!
I stayed next door at the Residence Inn, one night in January and two nights in February. Both times my husband and I had drinks and a meal at the bar in this hotel.General Manager, Susan runs a great shop. Her staff are well trained, very professional and efficient. Asia and Akua are the A Team at the bar/café. They make great drinks and prepare good food. More importantly, they are absolutely delightful professionals.
I am in hotels every few weeks for business. My stay at this Courtyard by Marriott was great and a surprise. The staff was just so attentive to both knowing and acknowledging your name along with always looking to assist. I have only one other hotel in the country that comes up to this standard that I will not mention that makes feel like I am at home!
This new Courtyard in Central Islip is great! The site is centrally located, rooms are nicely decorated and there is a nice sitting area outside. The hotel includes a workout center, pool, laundry and bistro/bar that swaps between Starbucks in the morning and a bistro/bar in the evening. The selection is simple but fresh and tastes good. I would recommend staying here if you are traveling for business or pleasure to central Long Island...its only 15 mins from the beach!
My cousin is staying there and I stopped by yesterday. It is set up really nice, its clean and quiet. Alittle further off the Long Island Expressway (495) than i would care for but lots of stores and such to see as you ride there once off 495. Outside is set up with couches firepits and bbqs, just perfect for a short stay. No big restaurants in hotel but they do have a clean place to order baked goods, snacks and some food. Enjoy....
With a few minor exceptions, my stay was excellent. I thought the prices at the Bistro were a bit high, and I would have liked the fitness center to have an exercise bike. Also, it took longer than I expected for the charges I made on my debit card to appear on my bank statement.
Akua, Sam, and Dominque all need raises!!! my mother had open heart surgery the day I stayed and I got the room so I could be closer to her hospital and see her first thing in the morning. Sam make the most delicious flat bread pizzas. Akua should open her own bar!!! she is friendly, kind, and funny. Dominque was also amazing the next morning making and serving us our breakfast.
I was in Long Island for a week attending a workshop and had a wonderful experience at this Marriott. the staff is very helpful and friendly. The food prepared at the cafe was delightful, and is prepared right on the premises. The location was perfect, and I would recommend this as a wonderful place to stay.
The Marriott courtyard in Islip is a Perfect location if you want to go to the ocean for the day, out to the wineries and enjoy the local eateries, bagels and pizza and bakeries. The rooms are very nicely decorated with modern furniture and the outside area with the open fireplace is great. There is alot of room and tables and seating for many people. I love the location.
I have been a Marriott guest for over 45 years. It has always been my first choice. If you check my Marriott membership activity you will notice that I am a global traveler. I am familiar with your normal excellence of service. This visit did not measure up to my standards.
My husband, daughter, and I recently made a quick trip up to Long Island for the National girls lacrosse tournament. The Courtyard Islip was less than 20 minutes away from Stony Brook University. The hotel itself was clean, accommodating, and reasonable for a weekend stay. The only thing I would recommend to Courtyard is to replace the mattress on the sleeper sofa. It was thin as a pancake. Other than one needed improvement youll enjoy the stay.
Room/hotel needs some renovation/maintenance/repairs (USB ports broken, tub caulking separating from tub and tiles, ice machine not working). Also, no soap/body wash in dispenser, insufficient towels despite pre-checkin request via App. Why ask if you won’t provide App menu listed items? Marriott’s response to these issues was a scripted PR email that did not specifically address any of the issues. Thanks(?).
The Courtyard at Long Island Islip/Courthouse is a brand new beautiful hotel! The rooms are very clean and modern with very comfortable beds. We loved the outdoor area with the firepit to enjoy a cocktail in the evening. Marriott always takes great care of their guests!
Usually stay at a Marriott on Rte 110 in Farmingdale since I’m formally from West Babylon. When checking prices the Marriott in Central Islip was better priced and since I was flying in to Mcaurther airport this was much more convenient. Very very enjoyable stay, will be stay there in the future!!!
Property is centrally located -- close to everything, but then again, everything on Long Island seems to be a 20 minute ride!! Dont miss Jones Beach or Robert Moses for a quiet beach day!! Baseball Heaven not far from hotel. Rooms are lovely, clean and nicely decorated.
Terrible service, our room was not cleaned after leaving for more than half a day, we talked to management about the little things like not having a working phone, so they came and fixed that but didnt change any of the sheets or get new towels that we needed. My advice dont stay here.
Courtyard Long Island Islip is a beautiful, modern facility. Rooms and common areas are stylish, clean and well-maintained. Staff is courteous and professional. We came for an away soccer game. My son and the other players on his team especially loved using the pool and the outdoor patio with firepit.

2022-03-04Decent hotel. I was there for work travel. Asked for a quiet room on a high floor away from elevator bank and ice machines. They put me on the top floor but on the side next to the busy street and athletic fields which were quite loud at night. I was also put in a room that had potential to be an adjoining room and could really hear my adjoining neighbor. So I would say only 50% of my request was fulfilled. Food and bar were decent but limited. Hotel was very busy on the weekend and definitely much more quiet on weekdays. No hairdryer in my room. Had to ask for one. Other guests varied - business travel people, wedding guests, athletic teams, people attending court nearby. I will probably stay here again for business travel, but now know what to expect.

2022-04-22Great hotel. The staff was friendly professional and helpful. Clean environment and laid out well. Place to drink and eat and relax. Outdoor fire pit, good seating area. Nice pool and fitness center. Clean rooms. The only item I can list was one coffee cup in the room for two adults. That would not stop me from going back. Great hotel.

2022-03-14The coolest mermaid-y hotel rooms in the Islip/Patchogue area with great decor. Very spacious. Mostly nice front desk staff, but the fact that they made us hunt down the luggage cart ourselves by getting off the elevator on every floor and searching for it at 1am (after calling an hour earlier to ask if it could be available when we arrived) loses them a star. They told us no promises because someone else could be using it (fair), but they didnt say theyd make us go find it ourselves if a rude guest just left it outside their room!

2022-06-05Called down to the front desk to ask for more towels on a two night stay because water went all over the floor. Was told “no” we encourage guests to reuse towels.

2022-04-18We did a short stay. Did not get our towels changed or beds made, but still left a tip. Rooms are nice enough. Nothing spectacular.

2021-09-25In these times you dont get people that like to work or be friendly. This staff was soo well coordinated and courteous. They had 7 weddings that weekend and you would even know that they were busy. So friendly and willing to help you in anyway possible. From the front desk to the bar area and even the maintenance/housekeeping were welcoming when I was walking through the hallway. The security guards were friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Clean and accommodating. Thank you for making my experience so amazing.

2021-09-12The hotel and staff are above average in terms of appearance, amenities and cleanliness. Only thing that got me was the room ACs. They will only cool to your set temp if you are in the room (and can be sensed by the thermostat). Going to a long wedding on a hot day? Youll return to a room thats shy of 80 degrees and itll take an hour or more to cool down. Like to sleep in a cool room? The temp will cool down to your preference but the room will warm back up overnight when the thermostat doesnt sense you moving.

2021-12-12Employees were exceptional. Rooms very clean as was the hotel itself. But having stayed at many Marriotts they all provided complimentary breakfast. This one has been the only one that didnt. Need to get with the times on this point.
