*UPDATE 11/21:. FINALLY RE-OPENEDAfter 18 month Covid shutdown. New hours.OpenMonday, Wednesday, Thurs 4pm-9pmFriday: 11am - 9pmClosed: Tuesday, Saturday, SundayGreat location, helpful knowledgeable staff, no frills environment, but very reasonably priced. The only problem is the new hours of operation. It almost seems that the Powers That Be are intent on making it fail intentionally. Its closed Saturday and Sundays, and once again the tax paying residents of Yonkers get screwed out of the opportunity to use the facility. If it were any other recreational activity, or social center, it would be given top priority for residents and law enforcement officers of Westchester and Yonkers to access it.

Great staff; knowledgeable, helpful and nice. They keep the environment at the range friendly and relax. I highly recommend this place. They can help you with practical things if you ask for help, but if they see you know what you are doing, they leave you alone. They can help you with classes and tips to obtain the pistol permit and their prices are way lower than other places.

My Dad and I used to go there when I was around twelve years old. Over fourty years ago. Good gun training should be apart of everyone’s life. We are America’s army. Keep America the greatest country in the world. Glad to see there still open. Lots of great memories.

Not the most high tech or new range, but the staff made up for it, which is just as important. Jerry one of the range-masters there took the time to give me some tips, which actually where very beneficial and helpful. Definitely recommend. Just wish they would be able to update the range to allow larger caliber rifles (.223) etc.

Its a pretty good and well maintained indoors range. Been going there for years. Staff is friendly and helpful, if you need to, if not -theyll leave you alone, as long as you be within safety rules and regulation. Safety is pretty big thing in this range and in my eyes its a tremendous plus.

I liked that it was a 15 minute bus ride from my home. From the Bedford Park subway stop along the 4, the Bee Lines 20 bus drops off on Central Park Ave and McLean. From there, its only a short walk to Coyne Park. The elderly gentlemen that were running the place when I went were nice enough. Since I dont have a permit in New York, they provide a package that includes lane time, rental of a .22 rifle, 100 rounds of ammo, 2 targets, and eye/ear protection. As of this post, $58 per person.Note: When Ive gone to ranges in Arizona, if Im new to the place, Im required to review safety rules and/or watch a safety video. At Coyne Park, I was asked if I had experience shooting. I replied yes and was left to my own devices. Not sure what to make of that. The range officer(?) showed me the operation of the rifle which was simple enough. Although I didnt take note of it at the time, the rifle looked like and probably was a polymer Ruger 10/22 with a 10 round magazine. It looked and felt like the equipment was well-maintained as I experienced zero malfunctions. The mechanism to place your targets at the desired distance was operated by hand wheel. Theres a certain charm to it, so no points off for that. The facility itself was clean and uncluttered.I have to admit that Ive been spoiled by the quality of facilities at the Scottsdale Gun Club, but I suppose that for a public range in New York, beggars cant be choosers. Overall, it was a positive experience. I plan on bringing some family and friends here to introduce them to the shooting sports. I dont want their only exposure to firearms to be be from television and movies. Coyne Park Rifle and Pistol Range seems like a decent enough place to give them a taste of what its all about.Afterward, the nearby strip mall would be a nice place to grab some grub or coffee.

Pleasant staff, great hours and prices. No frills range that does what exactly it supposed to do...provide a safe venue for practice with your firearm.
