Currys in other cities:
Curry’s is one of our favorite restaurants to eat. The menu has a good variety and the wait staff is very attentive. The bar is partitioned from the dining area. Very clean restrooms and restaurant too. Fish Fry’s are delicious. The owner, Shannon is very proud of her business and thanks us every time we dine there. Take out is available and well packed. During Lent I ordered take outs which were well orchestrated for pick up and my cold salads were separated from my hot fish. Just how I like it. Enjoy!
Sorry for any confusion but sI may have posted a review for the place instead of Currys, which is very good, and I like it as well as CurrysCurrys is one our favorite places for a good meal and friendly, wonderful service. Usually pretty busy, so especially a Friday evening make reservations. Yesterday we had a fish fry and the fish sandwich, the later a full meal itself. Always very good AND available every day! Really recommend for a casual meal.
We purchased two fish fry dinners served with an uncooked center. The food service offered from the 5p to close shift on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, was a disaster and a food poisoning hazard. Not one person should feel sick after consuming your food when prepared correctly and with love. The customer service of Anne Marie and Owen was pleasant.
Took a bunch of friends & was very disappointed after I was told that the turkey special was just what Mom would of made , well to my surprise my Mom never made stuffing from a box Without any kind of onion or celery. Need to say I would not recommend that anybody eat there. This was my second time but trying a different special that totally was a very over priced plate of garbage. The fish fry are also very poor.
My husband and I had the battered fish fry. The fish was watery, probably because the black skin was not removed. The french fries were very dry. I gave one star because the macaroni salad was good. We had the french onion soup first, and it was just ok. I think were done with Currys.
Got two fish frys one with German potatoes and one with baked potato.Fish frys where very good but a little pricey. Major problem was the wait. I was told 25 minutes for pickup, waited an hour in the parking lot. Total time from order to receive was over an hour and a half
I highly recommend the fish fry. Their fish fries are better than most other locations specializing in pizza. Currys costs the exact same price, but its much better. Their included sides are better than everyone elses as well! Great coordinated curb-side pickup was well executed and expedient.
Great neighborhood bar/restaurant. On the smaller size place -- approximately 15 seats at the bar and about 15 tables in the dining room. No reservations accepted. Always busy. Clean, good service, good food. Great menu, daily specials, everything from soup to nuts. Their fish fries are huge, served daily.
I was pleasantly surprised. Game over across the street with a friend from st. Joes event. I had the stuffed banana pepper sandwich with pastrami and the cajun fries and it was excellent. We also had a couple of beers at the bar. Every one is super friendly. I will definitely be coming back here.
This is a very nice, casual, neighborhood restaurant and bar. Usually go for their fish fry, which is offered all week and not just on Fridays. Moderately priced and very friendly staff. Daily meal specials. Good food and you shouldnt leave hungry. Only issue is the parking lot, as it can get tight at times.
Went in for dinner yesterday at 5pm. We were seated immediately. Waitress came and asked for our drink order, we asked for water which was brought quickly. We then proceeded to wait 25+ minutes. The waitress ran around seating and taking orders for other tables and only even passing by us on two occasions where we attempted to get her attention although... unsuccessful. We finally got up and walked out after 30 minutes. The place is not big... Not sure how screw up like that. Menu looked great service was horrible.
Disappointed....they do have a good fish fry and a good bartender however they cant get a togo order right to save their life. Get all the way home to find out the 2 out of 4 dinners were wrong. The receipt was correct.. Mac salad smelled rotten. Sad because this WAS our favorite place.
Good standby for a well rounded American menu. The dining area is separated from the popular bar.Yesterday we had the daily special, a pot roast sandwich on a roll with a choice of soup, salad or fries. Very good!Fish fry is served daily and the menu features a good assortment of sandwiches, salads and dinner entrees.
My girlfriend and her family frequent this establishment, and I kind of like it myself. I ordered a fish fry and ask to have all my salads on the side and not piled on top of my fish, she said okay came back and it was all over the place wasnt too thrilled by that. Second time I ate there the chicken fingers seemed burnt or like they were from a previous order that never went out and found its way to my table... I wont give up on them yet though as the staff seems for the most part very pleasant.
Reuben was delicious and I am a Reuben connoisseur.I was impressed with the staff working to seperate bar patrons for.social distancing. My only disappointment came at hearing a patron complain loudly about having to wear a mask in order to move around the restaurant and then an employee agreed with her. Cmon, folks. We want these places to be able to stay open for in person dining!
Some of the best food in Buffalo.Buffalo is known for having great local restaurants, and Curry’s has to be one of the best. Their dinner specials make it worth coming everyday to try something new; ranging from homemade turkey dinners to delicious pot roast, there’s always a reason to come back. Lunch specials are great too, and they have a wide variety of food and drinks. But I must say, Curry’s has the best soup in all of Buffalo. Soups change daily, and every time I have had the soup if the day it’s always a work of art. Today I had the cream of potato and it was fantastic. Every time I try a new soup, I always think it’s my new favorite. If you enjoy soups, Curry’s will not disappoint. The staff are friendly and the restaurant has a warm vibe to it. Seating yourself when it’s less busy gives the restaurant a casual feel to it which I much enjoy. Curry’s variety of delicious food at a good price makes it in my opinion one of the best restaurants in Buffalo, and keeps me coming back time and time again. If you are visiting Buffalo or are just looking to try a new local restaurant, I would definitely recommend giving Curry’s a try.
Googled good fish fry’s in The Kenmore area. This place Curry’s came up as one. Brought my Dad and WOW!!!! Delicious. Our waitress was Kim she was so pleasant, adorable and super sociable. Helped with recommendations for dessert. Also, made recommendations for our next visit;). Yup, of. course we had to have dessert!!!!! Which was also to die for!!! Note to owner: You’re so Lucky to have Kim!!!! Difficult to find Awesome employees that will make your business thrive. Awesome, Awesome!!!
Comfortable local pub. Service was friendly, food was good. After we were seated, it did take about 10 minutes before someone took our order (it appears there was confusion over who was waiting on us). Multiple staff members made apologies, which was appreciated. Our eventual server was pleasant, prompt and attentive.
I come to Buffalo about once a year for a game and I usually end up eating at the same places. I saw a good review on the fish fry at Currys and decided to go. It was amazing. We also had beef in weck and stuffed banana peppers. Also all great. I plan to make sure I come every year. Also great service.
I thought I would check this place out while doing laundry next door. The restaurant is clean, the menu diverse, and prices are reasonable. After seating myself and requesting water, 20 minutes went by without my order taken. The wait staff walked past my table several times and did not notice me. They even took orders from other diners around me. I tried making gestures as they passed but decided to try another restaurant with hopefully better service.
I only came here because I got a gift card for Christmas. Too small, I can cook better at home. And I waited quite a while to be seated and waited on. Guess my daughter and I werent as important as the party of 6! Too bad cuz I would have left a hefty tip if I would have gotten better service ! This place doesnt seem to like new customers!
My husband and I went here for dinner this evening. Everything was perfect!! My husband and I prefer casual restaurants with great: food, service, and portions... Currys did not disappoint- we will DEFINITELY be back on a regular basis. My husband ordered the Chicken parmigiana dinner with a side salad, he finished the whole thing, is completely stuffed and satisfied. He said it was better than Orazios, which is tough to beat! I had the cajun chicken salad, which was also delicious, large, and I finished it all. We both agreed the chicken for both entrees was cooked to perfection!! We also ordered a piece of homemade peanut butter pie; were saving that for after skiing tomorrow!
Ist time there ,after hearing so many good things was a little disappointed to say the least ! Fish Fry was very good and sides except fries were not fresh cut . Portions were smaller compared to other places and a little more pricey ! Was not overly crowded and had to search for waitress for refills and to pay bill !!
Went there last Thursday night. Not particularly busy. Got our drinks right away because the hostess took our order when we sat down. Took 25 minutes before someone noticed us and took our food order. Waited another 30 minutes before the waitress said your food should be right out, offered to comp drinks, of course, waited another 5 minutes and left the restaurant. Really bad service for a family restaurant.
Had a fishfry a while back , it was awesome. Decided to go back and try the wings. Had hot crispy and saucy and the Cajun wings. Cajun were good, the hot wings were just ok. They were cooked fine, but the hot sauce was weak. Im not saying they were mild, im saying the hot sauce was watered down or something to that effect. Better quality hot sauce, this review would have been better.

2022-08-10Really great bruschetta bread. And delicious sweet tea. (With vodka!) The chicken fajita wrap was stuffed full of chicken, p&o and cheese. Very tasty.

2022-01-15I ordered take out. They told me to pick up in 30 minutes. I got there and waited an extra 30 minutes at the door. Grabbed my chicken fingers just to find out they were not even cooked and completely raw on the inside.

2022-03-23Crowded, but worth the wait on Friday during lent for their fabulous, large and reasonably priced beer battered fish fry!! Their side of Mac salad is fresh and not some cheap boxed variety. Friendly service too!

2022-04-02We stayed at an AirBnB in West Seneca, NY, and were looking for a good restaurant to go to on a Friday during Lent.Family local to Buffalo, NY, unanimously agreed that Currys Restaurant was the place to go to on this side of town. Boy oh boy oh boy, were they ever right!!!Currys offers three types of fish on Fish Fry Friday: Beer Battered, Fried, or Grilled fish. The beer battered was the best tasting, but all three were delicious. Though I like coleslaw with a little bit of horseradish, Currys Coleslaw was still really good. Macaroni salad was our second side, and the BEST Ive ever tasted! Currys is a place I will definitely return to on my next visit to Buffalo.
