The most delicious desserts in the world. Every Italian pastry, cookie, and cake you could want to eat. The espresso and cappuccino were excellent and the ambiance is wonderful. Listen to Italian speakers, enjoy the diversity of problem shopping and eating. A must go to store if you’re in this area!
Excellent baked goods and espresso but if you get a large order check to make sure it’s all there before you leave the shop. Got home and only had half of my cookie order. Wasn’t charged for what was missing but disappointed that all my fiancé’s cookies were missing so I had to share mine.
Honestly I made an order of 16 cookies and 3 different cakes and it was all awful especially the cheese cake. In my lifetime I’ve learned that beautiful presentation can really fool you. Idk what is the hype but honestly I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here. I am not being paid for this and my reviews are 100% real.
THE BEST CUP OF CAPPUCCINO IN THE WORLD! And the pastries? Oh my the pastries! The cannolis were sooo good! The cream filling was so smooth and creamy. I cant explain nor can words give this place the credit it is due! I originally ordered a cappuccino and a pecan biscotti and a pistachio biscotti. After my girlfriend brought over a lobster tail, cannoli and some small square cookie pastry with the same type of cream as the lobster tail and cannolis I said I might never make it back to NYC let alone back here to Delillos! So I immediately ordered a nutella cappuccino with 2 more cannolis. The nutella cappuccino was like a hot chocolate with coffee. Best decision ever!
Its not bad at all, but for us everything was too sweet. And not the Italian taste! Everyone who says its a great Italian pastry just need to visit Italy to refresh their perception. One more thing I really didnt like: they serve coffee in paper cups (probably due to covid), despite all the normal porcelain cups are still standing on the coffee machine, and this is confusing. I dont want to pay $3.5 for espresso from paper cups. They should have warned us in advance. The place seems to be very popular with locals though. Otherwise I would give it 3 stars only. Sorry guys.
Recharge from your trip to Arthur Avenue, Little Italy, and sit down and enjoy delicious pastry, gelato, cake and cookies topped off with any type of coffee you wish in this very pretty Italian bakery. The atmosphere is bright and airy but cozy at the same time. You can sit outside at the sidewalk tables if people watching is your thing.
They look nice...taste...meh. Got a to go order asked for 6 regular cannolis 2 were to be chocolate. She ended up giving us minis. I asked for 2 each mini cannolis, chocolate cannolis and chocolate eclairs, only go the two chocolate cannolis and 2 eclairs. And ordered a mix of cookies which were mostly dried out. 26 bucks... I feel like the service was mediocre and will not go back. Its a tourist trap. If you like wasting money and subpar service you will love Delillo...Egidios was closed for the holiday but they make better cookies and pastries and dont screw up your order.
My wife and I decided to find a good Italian pastry shop. Following the good reviews, we decided to stay at this place. It is a nice cozy place with a large selection of pastries. We ordered a wide variety of products to try Unfortunately, we didnt enjoy it because all of them were stale. We may not have come at the right time, so we decided not to write a bad review.
If i could put zero, i would. Very rude, prejudice, and unwelcoming staff i’ve ever dealt with. They wanted to charge me an extra two dollars to put ice in a drink i had purchased from them. It’s not ab the money, it’s about the fact that they tried to trick me into giving them an extra fee.
Cappuccino are great. All their pastries are delicious (with my favorites being the almond cookies, linzer tarts, fudge cake and the frutti di bosco). They also have delicious gelato (my favorite flavor is chocolate chip). The service is always great, all the ladies there are so nice.
I have been a loyal shopper for over the past 10 years to the Delillo Pastry Shop when I go shopping on Arthur Ave. I have tried to stay loyal to Delillo this past year. However, each time I go, the quality of the pastry continues to decline. Our St. Joseph’s Pasty in March were stale, our pasty in April were stale and we went again Thursday night – while the pasty looked delicious on display – the cookies were stale, the cannoli’s were stuffed days ago and the overall quality of everything we bought was awful.I usually ask for a decaf late or cappuccino when I buy pastry for the trip home. Last month the coffee was so terrible (warm milk and warm water). I am a cancer survivor and so many times when I ask for decaf they give me a regular at this pasty shop. I would rather you say, I am sorry – we don’t have decaf instead of lying and giving me regular or watering it down.We mentioned our disappointment in the quality of pasty over the past year on Thursday night to the two woman working could care less.
Rude is an understatement I made an order and was waiting for it and the so called manger come and take the last lobster tail that I ordered it and gave to to someone that was online behind me when the lady that was helping her told her we asked for it first she said too bad and proceeded
I cant say enough about how good the pastry is here, paired with a variety or teas, coffee and other beverages. It has a casual feel that welcoming. The staff are super friendly. Most items are very reasonable, if you like a hot beverage and pastry without the Manhattan bill this a great place in the Bronx.
Went over there yesterday afternoon, everything looked very clean. Bought 2 cheesecakes for 4.5$ each as they looked very appetizing in store... went back home exited to eat my good looking cheesecake and found myself EXTREMELY disappointed from the first bite. It was UNEATABLE. Had to throw both pieces away (10$ in the trash)I can’t even begin to describe the taste... it tasted as if it sat in store for years. Totally unacceptable!!!!! Will never step foot in this place again.
I have gone to this pastry shop and I was very satisfied, especially today. I have been buying a latte, vanilla coffee, hazelnut coffee, and a decaf coffee and I always asked for milk and sugar, and for today, since I had a latte, I also asked for cinnamon. And the aroma smells good and the coffee tastes good. It is good for you moneys worth. The fruit tart and the strawberry sliced cake that I gave to my daughter, my sister, and my brother, they loved it very much. My favorites were the chocolate sliced cake, the square fudge slice cake, the cheesecake, and the eclairs. Those were very tasty and delicious. The staff and the people were very friendly and helpful. I would most certainly come back to this place again.
I go here every Saturday with my dad and Ive been doing this 14 years now. The pastries are heaven and there are only two waiters who are the best at making me and my dads favorite espresso. There are no guys working there except these two brothers we know very well! So they only hire women and also one of our favorite waitresses who make our espresso is the sister of the two brothers. Plus one of those two brothers who is barely around anymore is also the master of the making of our espresso! Besides the espresso, my dad and I always order our favorite mini Italian napoleon! Bottom line, some of the people I know well for as many years as I started coming here are soooo nice and worth making friends! Send everyone here!
This place takes the cherry on top, literally!Coming into DeLillo Pastry Shop took me back to Italy, with of course, a touch of the Bronx. Very authentic pasticceria! If you have a sweet tooth, not just any type of sweet tooth, but an Italian sweet tooth, then you’ve come to the right place. All types of authentic Italian desserts “come una volta” are right here! It made me so melancholic and brought me back home. So many varieties of biscotti, cookies, rum babà (not the best so I wouldn’t eat it again here) and so much more! The sfoglitella stole my heart! Great espresso and awesome spot for dessert. You definitely will want to take a little to go box with more deliciousness to go. If you miss mamma and everything Nonna used to make, go ahead and give them a try, your taste buds will thank you later!
I would recommend this place to anyone, if you haven’t come here, stop what you’re doing and come. The environment is wonderful. The coffee and the pastry are excellent. I always come here to relax with my family. When it’s spring/summer they will put out chairs and tables ; please note people who smoke usually will take those seats.
A staple of the area. A frequent stop during our rounds of shopping in the great little Italy of the Bronx. A huge variety of desserts and the best espresso in the area. Im not always convinced that its decaf, but its delicious. Take two canolli to go, you know you want to!
Love Delillo’s cannolis. Every year since 2003 I drive up to the Bronx to get a mix of their delicacies to serve at my annual, over-the-top tailgate party before a big Ravens game. Discovered them while my daughter was at Fordham, and just kept going back. I won’t be tailgating this year, but I will have to go up and get some for the holidays just to keep my streak going.
This pastry shop has amazing cannolis! you can either get the regular size cannolis that have a fixed price per cannoli or the mini cannolis which are priced by wait. we went with the mini cannolis in got one of every different flavor and they were all super scrumptious! The staff was super friendly too.
The cakes and pastries here are great. However, I went in to purchase a cake for my mother’s birthday and asked for the cake to say “Happy Birthday” on top. Seems like a simple request, right? However, the young woman behind the counter must have assumed that because I was a Hispanic, that I wanted the cake to say happy birthday in Spanish. I do NOT speak Spanish. Neither does my mother. I’m not sure why she decided to make this assumption but I am highly upset that she can’t follow simple instructions.
I always have a wonderful time coming here with my wife and child. Usually well stop at Full Moon first for some Pizza and then drop by here for a Cappuccino, Coffee or an Espresso to have with a Cannoli, Napolean, Eclair or possibly some Cookies or a Gelato. The wait staff is always super friendly and accommodating, it is a child friendly environment (within reason) and its always a pleasurable and relaxed atmosphere to sit back unwind and just savor life at a leisurely pace. Many happy memories here and it will always be a favorite of ours.
Excellent Italian bakery, pastry shop and cafe.Everything is fresh and the authenticity and quality is second to none. Great pastichotte, cannoli and sfoghlitelle. Biscotti, tiramisu, babbarum; I could go on and on. Eat in or take out. We have been patronizing this bakery for years and have yet to find its equal anywhere.
DeLillos has the best pastry and canolis on Arthur Ave, but I can’t give them four or five stars because their credit card policy is ridiculous. They won’t accept any cards that have any special rewards program, but what credit cards don’t offer rewards? Ridiculous and arbitrary.

2022-04-01More like a great cafe than just a regular pastry shop. Amazing large collection of pastry (over 40 options at a decent $20 a pound price) along with gelato, great taste, ample seating and friendly staff. There is a $10 minimum for credit/debit card payment though. Great place to meet up or go for a snack as a group. They also sell coffee beans.I got 6 mini pastries and all of them were pretty good, especially the chocolate eclair, neopolitan pastry and chocolate cannoli. The chocolate cannoli had a chocolate shell both inside and outside, keeping it quite crisp. The shop is also quite historic and was opened in 1925.

2022-03-23Every time Im in Belmont, we always go here for dessert. They have some of the best pastries, which is enough to satisfy everyone. I especially like how if you get a latte or cappuccino, they do substitute with plant milks. The people are friendly there and the food is good. Well definitely be coming back!

2021-12-19Although getting our wedding cake order off the ground was a bit slow, we’re totally glad we stuck out the process!Delillo’s prices were reasonable, their delivery was timely, the wedding cake appearance was exactly what we presented the baker and it tasted fantabulous!!!Awesome feedback (literally) about the cake from most of our invited guest too...☺️Highly recommend Delillo’s - hands down...💯Thanks team Delillo...✅

2021-12-16The cappuccino and all desserts here are outstanding. Sitting down and having dessert here is the right way to eat in Fordham. The room is warm and inviting, rich with color and aesthetically appealing to the eye as well. In most cases I buy deserts and take out, here I would eat something and taking out too. I highly recommend a post dinner stop.

2022-02-26I swing by this patisserie every time I’m around. They serve great quality espresso and cakes, I especially love their biscuit (cookie) selection, always fresh and scrummy! The place gets very crowded at weekends.

2022-06-07Best chocolate ice around. Only available in the summer months. Big fan of all of their Italian ices. Pastries are good too but the ice is the only reason I come.

2022-01-15Great pastries selection, very Italian vibes and the kindest people. Makes me really feel like at home! They know how to treat and take care of their customers, you can tell there is a strong business philosophy based on a warm culture there. Authentic!
