Dollar general has never been the best store, in fact, my experience has been rather disappointing each and every time I go in to the store. Although, today has to be the highlight of my extreme disappointment. For a while I chose to go to other dollar generals in the area. Each and every time I went I was met with rude and disrespectful staff, loud and impatient costumers, and overall a store which did not honour sales nor did they honour the customers. So when I found this dollar general it felt like a dream, in the beginning the staff and the manager were kind and attentive but this atmosphere dissipated rather quickly. The store got increasingly messier as did the attitude of the staff. Out of everyone in this disaster of an establishment the worst had to be the manager. Today when I arrived at the store I was greeted by the manager standing outside of the store smoking a cigarette with a coworker completely not concerned by the lack of staff inside and costumers waiting to be seen. The manager only came to attention when I as a regular walked in. The place was a usual mess, buckets with non priced and non labeled merchandise stood out in front right by the entrance. The floors were dirty and overall the building is crowded by an overflowing mess. I came in and went exactly where I needed to be and grabbed my purchase. Said item was on sale for thirty five cents with a coupon. Anyway, I was happy to have found what I needed and made my way to the check out. I was immediately bombarded by the manager sharing how she would be leaving the store within a week, this is after she has complained to me multiple times saying how she despised her job and was ready to quit. She also told me personal details about her daughter while she was watching Snapchat videos rather than doing any real work. I was ready to get out of there, I put my phone number in to redeem my coupon and she scanned the item. She said nothing went through and I tried again. It was at this point I decided to point out to her that the sale was advertised in her flyer to which she responded she does not want to get fired and would not give me my item for the price it was listed as. I felt so disrespected, I had been to this location a number of times and had spent a substantial amount of money, all of which did not matter to this manager. She chose not to honour the sale which her store had put out to have a place at a job she hated. She was overall rude and accused me of being argumentative and said she genuinely did not care. This experience was horrible and left me distraught and upset. I will not be going back, I would much rather take my time to heal from this most horrifying experience.

Good selection of merchandise at low prices. The Store can be cluttered and hard to walk in if you have a cane, walker, stroller or service animal. Impossible to navigate if your in a wheelchair. Other than that the prics are low and they have a good selection. The employees are nice and helpful bit you might run into a grumpy customer or two.

I do most of my shopping at Dollar General and usually at this this particular one. I find the staff helpful and the shelves generally well stocked. Even their own brand is a great option to save even more off their reasonable prices.

Great Christmas shopping experience . . . love the items and the prices! Not to mention open until 11pm. The staff is very helpful and crowd-free shopping. None of the craziness there. So stop on by and enjoy the season. God Bless and Happy New Year!

Store is a mess, couldnt find much of what i was looking for. Hard to even get down an aisle. Ran into 2 people that worked there, one super nice and tried to be helpful while the other didnt say a single word while ringing me up.

Very helpful manager found me Amazon gift cards to purchase when originally thought they were sold out. He came outside to get me as I was leaving the store.

This dollar store is very tacky! The items being sold has no great quality at all. The parking lot of the store has very deep craters and potholes in the ground...your afraid your tires may get torn up! The parking lot need a serious paving done!!!!

God I love these stores.but only if its the walden, pine bush or the one on dolson ave in middletown stores I been to others. But when u need something know one is around to help find the products u need. Its ashamed others then that.i would recommend these stores Walden is always stock so is pine bush and the one in Dolson ave..

Dollar general stores should not be in the realm of dollar stores or even have the word dollar in the title. Not a fan at all. They all smell funny and are packed to the ceiling with junk. Just a redneck downed version of a mini Walmart. I try to avoid them but always end up finding my way back to one. Just to walk out dissatisfied every, single, time.
