Druthers Brewing Company in other cities:
My friend and I have been to the Saratoga Springs location before, this was our first to this location. Well since we had such good food at the other location I was first pretty nervous, however they put all this worry to rest as soon as we took the first bite. We both had variants of their Mac & Cheese, my friend is a M&C aficionado and lets just say he says its the best hes ever had, Ill say I agree to that!Keep up the awesome job!
*Begins taking group selfie*Waitress: Oh I can take a picture of your groupMe: Oh uh okay*Hands over phone*Random drunk gross guy at table next to us: Oh hey I’ll take the picture*Waitress hands over my phone to drunk gross stranger without missing a beat**Proceeds to take bad photo*WHY EVEN OFFER?..Anyway, place was great! Waitstaff included.
Food was awesome!!! We stopped here with a few friends after coming home from Killington and we loved it.The buffalo pizza was so crispy and delicious 10/10. The wings were sooo good too. Definitely recommend coming here when you’re hungry. Some of my friends tried the Mac and cheese and other dishes and they were also very very happy. The service was great. The waitress always came by and provided everything quickly.Awesome food with awesome people.
Really great atmosphere, good food + decent beer. I was super nervous to eat out for the first time post covid but the outdoor seating they added is perfect. Tables are spaced nicely apart and I watched the staff do a great job cleaning + sanitizing after customers. The angry bee pizza + loaded fries were both fantastic.
First timer. Friday afternoon visit. Friendly staff and the atmosphere was cool. Decided to order the cheddar cheeseburger as described on the menu. Wait time was short but the burger wasnt hot. Fries were pretty good but not great like I had been told. The burger wasnt that good. Not bad mind you, but not great like I expected. I tired the cheese pizza and liked that much more. I didnt come for the beer I came because I was told they do burgers right. I disagree. They do a wood fried cheese pizza right though. Give them a try you might like it.
Like to visit when I am in town for business. The beer is always good and the selection has something for most people. Reason for the 4 rating, the service at the bar could have been better, felt like they were overwhelmed with the amount of people for a Tuesday evening
This was the first for us and it definitely wont be the last. Food is very delicious. For our appetizer we got the pretzels and let me tell you. They have to be the best around...amazing! I got the chorizo chicken chili burger and I will definitely be back for that also. My wife got the Druthers mac and cheese and that was also perfect. Everything was perfectly cooked & seasoned. The beer is tasty and fresh. A must go in my book. My sister doesnt drink so if you have the idea that its a brewery I cant go there...YES you can and youll be back.
Literally was just lied to, went there for a fried chicken sandwich. Was told they were out of them, no problem (ONLY LIKE 7 ITEMS ON YOUR LIMITED MENU NOW NOT AN OPTION). Ordered something different and waited 45 mins+ for a burger and salad, while tables around us were served fried chicken sandwiches that we specifically came there for and was told they were out of. The people around us were seated and ordered after us so we know they definitely had it. Not sure why the waiter lied to us but that was pretty disappointing.
Nice local craft brewery also known for its wood-fire pizzas and sizeable burgers. Sports bar area as well as a regular dining area. Non-meat dishes are also available.I tried their Druther Weizen beer which has a similar taste and body of an authentic German wheat beer. Nice!
Food was not good at all. We had ordered wings and wood fired pizza. The pizza base was burnt so much that we couldn’t just eat it. The wings were very very small and were mostly bones. The menu seemed to have changed. Most of the great stuff they used to offer is no longer on the menu. But i would give a 4 star to the people serving. They were good.
We had a group of 4 that came into Albany from out of town. Paige, Kendra and Kayla were the most genuine, hard working and welcoming people we have come across. They are the reason that we come back to places when we come into town. We will always come to Druthers when in Albany, especially with the staff they have on hand!
This place was a complete surprise I found while trying to navigate the dead-end labyrinth of the warehouse district-- and reaffirmed why it can be such an enchanting part of Albany. Outside it looked like a bustling brewery, and inside boasts a well-lit restaurant with an open kitchen, and large window panes where you can watch the legion of beers get bottles.Try the weirdest stuff on the menu, both the drinks and the foods. Their flavor combinations are adventurous but well worth it. Their menu is reasonable in size, so what they do make theyre great at making, and will pair with their drinks.
Our bartender seemed very annoyed at having to wait on us. I started setting a timer and it became normal for us to wait 30 minutes between times that she would check to see if we needed anything. We wanted to order food, but didnt really get a chance to do so. The app that we had was good, but after spending 3 hours to get apps and 4 rounds of drinks decided to just get Uber eats at the hotel. Beers were good. Drinks were good. What food we had (beer cheese and pretzels) was good, but staff seemed to try to prevent us from ordering a meal.
Food was delicious as always. Got the bbq mac and loaded monkey bread. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. The service tonight was slow and also slightly rude. Not off-putting, but noticable. The Albany location is nice, however its also the only one without a patio.
Worth the 2 hour drive just to eat here. Beer was amazing and hands down the best pizza and pretzel we have ever had. Extremely generous portions. Top notch service. Beautiful indoor setting and well observed covid safety protocols. Going to stop again in two days on our way back thru.
Extremely snotty host/front desk/seating staff- almost walked out then and there !Then as a further insult shown to a table next to the restrooms despite other tables being open - an obvious insult to add to their previous behavior …Very friendly , competent, and attentive wait staff pulled the review up along with the good beer and food .If you can get past the host attitude the place is great- but maybe you should go somewhere else unless they lose the attitude at the front door !
Everybody raves about the mac & cheese here and yes its amazing, but try the beer cheese pretzel dip. Authentic beer cheese made right from inside the brewery and legit some of the softest and crunchiest (yes at the same time) best pretzels ever 😋If you are getting the mac & cheese dont get the plain mac & cheese. its good but without some type of meat to balance it its a lot
Great beer and a great atmosphere. Four dishes tonight, some better than others. Two were a hit: meatball and pepperoni pizza fantastic; the Memphis mac and cheese was otherworldly- seven cheeses, succulent pulled pork, solid bbq sauce and cooling coleslaw. The full size feeds a family of four. Now for the lets not do these again: the three meat chili and the meatball sub. Neither really stood out. The sub was a lot of bread, garlicky meatballs (tender), some sauce and cheese melted some time ago. Sauce on the side wouldve helped. Fries were pedestrian, not fresh. Beer was very good. Amber provided friendly service.
Amazing brewery and honestly one of the best brewery experiences I’ve had between New York and New England. Traveled from Connecticut and stopped by here after spending the day at Pineridge nearby. Our waitress Bethany was excellent with her explanations for each beer as well as very friendly and the food was OUTSTANDING! The pretzels with beer cheese were incredible and the Ugly Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve had! A definite must-stop if you’re in the area!
The waitress in charge of seating bumped my party in favor of someone she clearly knew who had taken the seat without reserving. Id consider giving a second chance, but there are so many good places to have a glass of beer, cider or mead in the area that I dont feel the need to go back.
First time and worst experience !!!! Horrible service from one specific young lady sipping a cold brew while working !!!! Ordered take out- literally stiff there for 37 minutes waiting on my food - she asked me several times my name she also asked me my order and the entire time my food was right behind her !!! Until I asked another sweet young lady and she grabbed the one order that was sitting there the entire time ! Unbeeeeelieveable! I left with cold food so nope will never go back there again that would be the first and last time oh forgot to mention she said she didn’t have change to give bk to me either !!! Wow !
Reserved a table for 9 at the height of the dinner hour. We were seated and our drink order taken. With 3 children, our waitress Sheila was helpful and charming. With a variety of food and drink orders, we were served with a smile and promptness! Nice, comfortable home-brewing pub atmosphere. Reasonably priced, too.
We decided to try the new outdoor seating at Druthers. It is a great experience. The tables are very far apart (much more than 6 feet) and the entire staff was exceptionally good about masks, gloves, etc. They have a movable umbrella for each table and our waiter was always willing to adjust it to keep the sun at bay. This was our first dinner / drinks out since Covid 19 struck and we were a little nervous. Druthers did a great job at making it a comfortable place for us.
Druthers is always clutch, especially in a pandemic. I ordered two burgers and the beer and cheese dip for takeout this afternoon and everything was fantastic. Food generally loses its freshness in to-go containers, but everything was crisp. The food was ready when I arrived and the girl who cashed out my order was personable and friendly.Ive never had a bad experience with Druthers and all my friends and family love this establishment. Anytime someone from out of town comes to visit I bring them here for the food, beer and ambience. Keep up the good work and I will continue to refer people to Druthers for dine-in or takeout.
Went for dinner with a group, and had a great experience. The decor was beautiful and had a great vibe. It was a large restaurant. Although parking was limited we were able to find parking on the street. The group enjoyed the selection of beers. The menu was smaller than most but had some salads, sandwiches and entrees. We had the cheese dip with pretzels which was delicious and a big portion. I had the veggie burger with mac and cheese and had to bring leftovers home. Everyone enjoyed their food.
We decided to try druthers tonight. My amazing girlfriend is a picky eater and she absolutely loved the mac and cheese. My chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing. Place was busy for a covid Saturday night and the staff was completly on their game and amazing... we will definitely be back.. its nice having a good place with a nice atmosphere for good food so close to home
Best.food.ever!!! Literally everything was perfect, from my cocktail drink, to the wings, to my main entree! Service was great too. Place is very big and spacious and has a fun, upbeat, casual atmosphere. Great for watching sports and hanging out with friends. Everything looked very neat and clean too, they take good care of the place! I would highly recommend ordering one of their pizzas, they were like NYC quality good! 😍🍕🍕 especially the NJ style pizza on the menu. Overall this is a great place for dining, my experience here was fabulous!
All I was hearing was Druthers this Druthers that So I tried the restaurant. Service was ok the menu is very unhealthy mostly bar food. Had a burger that was good and the most ridiculous appetizer fried pretzels with beer cheese sauce that I shared. Overall its a decent place nothing to exciting.
Great beer selection, good atmosphere, solid service and delicious food. My group had 4 different meals: wings, pizza, a burger, and the wok fried rice, and everyone was very happy, although the burger was slightly over cooked. The wok fried rice was outstanding and is highly recommended. Also, dont hesitate to ask for a taste of a beer before ordering. Overall, its a terrific bar-restaurant, and if you havent been to a Druthers location yet (Saratoga NY, Albany, Syracuse, etc.) its time to make a trip to try it for yourself.
I was there for lunch today with my sister and it was awesome. Our mom is a big fan of Druthers so we decided to check it out and I am very glad we did. I got the Loaded Mac & Cheese (lunch portion for $10) which was to die for! My sister got the Pulled Pork Sandwich with fries which was also amazing. The prices are great, there were many choices for lunch as well as specials. The only disappointments were the soup selection (only chili and 1 kind of soup) and they didnt have a dessert menu. The waitress explained they had 1 dessert selection which was homemade apple cake with cream cheese frosting which I passed on. I was hoping for some chocolate so hopefully this changes in the future. It is located in an industrial section of Albany, but was warm and inviting inside. The bathrooms were modern and spotless. The brewery is located next to the bar area and is separated by a glass wall so you can see the brewing/bottling process in action. I will definitely be back!
We popped in here for lunch yesterday and loved our experience! For starters, they have a great assortment of different beers on tap. They carry tons of local beers so I went with an assortment so I could try a few different ones. The sampler was 6 beers for $15. The food menu is typical bar food, but what stood out to us is their assortment of homemade pasta mac and cheese. They had some really unique mac and cheese dishes and the waitress recommended the eggplant one. It was one of the best dishes Ive ever had! Perfectly cheesy and flavorful.
While this location skips the awesome outdoor patio that some of their others offer, I simply find that the Albany one is consistent with service and quality. The beer is good across all locations I’ve been, but food always wins at Albany. The staff is friendly, helpful and always provide a good casual dining experience. If you haven’t been, I’d check it out.
Great brewery and food! We visited here on our trip to Albany and the atmosphere was cool, theres a fire pit and low lighting. We had the beer cheese and pretzels and the pretzels were super soft. We had pizza and the crust was delicious. I highly recommend this place!
Food is great! Wait time isnt horrible. Went with a group of 6 on a Friday night at ~7:30 without a reservation. They said the wait time would be 1.5 hr.. It turned out to only be 30 min! Wait staff was personable and attentive and the food was great!I got the breakfast burger and LOVED it!! Another person in our group got the cheese pizza and he was less than impressed, but I dont go to Druthers for cheese pizza!Overall, we all enjoyed our dinner at Druthers!
I probably do not need to say this but yes order the mac and cheese. The crew i was with loved it. However do not expect to be able to finish it. You will need a doggy bag. Some things to note there is always a long wait, we waited 1 hour, it is a college age restaurant and bar so it is noisy. I really enjoyed it.
We waited an hour and a half for a table. They had plenty of waiting room though so we were comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The decor of the restaurant was cool. The chairs were a little uncomfortable. Wouldnt be good for sitting a long time, but the food came out so fast. We werent sitting long. The beer was excellent and so was the food. Thank God our wait wasnt for nothing.Aside from the wait time, the only other negative was our waitress. She was not great. She seemed like she didnt want to be there and had a little bit of an attitude. She brought us the wrong beer in our flight, didnt bring us more water when we requested it, and was all around inattentive.Well be back!
Set in a beautiful open warehouse that hardly felt like a warehouse. Where there was a nice waiting area with a fireplace while they were getting our table ready. We were seated fast I do recommend that you get reservations it gets quite busy. Great selections of crafted beer right next door with good pricing. I ordered the Maple Cheddar Burger came out perfect medium rare and it was very flavourful with a hint of maple. And the rest of the table all ordered the different Mac and Cheeses which looked amazing and piping hot in skillets. It was overall a great experience will definitely be back and also wonderful and kind waitress.
We ate at the bar because we werent in a rush and our friends were already sitting there. The bartender was very busy but she checked in with us to see how if we needed anything. Hubby tried the beer sampler which was very reasonably priced. He had a burger and I had mac n cheese. The food was very good. They ran out of todays dessert but they substituted a lemon cake with raspberry frosting (complimentary) and that was delicious and tart.
Excellent service and excellent bar food. Loved the atmosphere too - noisy but not overwhelming, so you dont have to shout but you also dont need to whisper to ensure your conversation is private. And the service is attentive but not stalker-ish. Overall one of my favorite spots for lunch.
Of Druthers three locations, this is the largest and least crowded. The food menu is modern and tasty and even reasonably healthy. The beers, like other locations, are mostly designed not to offend a wide audience and thus arent particularly distinctive, not even always close to the announced style. But they are not bad. If youd like a beer or two with your meal and to spend some time with friends, this is the place. If you want to show off the regions craft brewing, this is not a great choice.
Well located near the Rivers Casino... Quality and crush-able beer, but nothing extraordinary. I was disappointed they didnt have a winter warmer or seasonal Christmas offering. If you like Mac N Cheese, youll love the offering here. They have traditional as well as some others like buffalo mac and cheese. I would say that if you go in with a large group, order one mac and cheese for every 2-3 people. The portions are ginormous. We had 8 people and could have easily just ordered 4 types and split them. I would definitely go back and I hope they do something just a touch more adventurous with their beer to get that 5th star from me next time!
Druthers Brewery I must say, for my first time, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food AND drinks! I had two different kinds of beer, the first one was good but not great and then I had a raspberry porter! THAT was awesome, I could drink and drink those forever. I also had the pulled pork and coleslaw which was on top of the macaroni dish. I really recommend this brewery to anyone that enjoys good brews, food and being around people. 5 stars on my end
I have had so much fun here with my friends. Im not the biggest beer fan but the light beers are really good. My friend taught me to drop a lemon wedge in the beer and that is my new love. Mac and cheese were so good it was crazy. I even ordered some on the way out to have the next day at home. Excellent environment and staff.
Likely being generous with the three stars. While waiting to be seated our party of four tried about every beer they had available the night we were there. They all tasted allot alike. Not a one stood out. We drink both local brews as well as allot of German and Belgian beers so maybe we expect to much on the beer front. To our party all their beers were more than lacking. Needless to say their beers do not reside in our dedicated beer fridge. On the food front... well lets just say that the food followed the beer in lacking any real character. Generally we were reminded of any of the other brew pub chains out there. Nothing special about the food at all. The word we all used is underwhelmed to describe the visit. Wait staff was adequate and that is all. Typical of the college age waiters one becomes accustomed to for service at just these sorts of establishments. Our party would never return there since there are many better places to eat and drink than Druthers. YMMV but i would say look else where for good beer and food.
Im not sure what has happened the past few times I have been to Druthers, but the food quality and service have both gone way down. Tonight I had dinner here with a couple of friends, expecting some of the great meals we have had in the past. This was not the case. The Salmon Noodle dish I ordered came out cold and flavorless, and the amount of food (legitimately 4 forkfuls of pasta and a lukewarm/cold piece of salmon, all lacking seasoning) that was present was not worth the money I spent on it. The waitress did not seem like she wanted to be there at all, and it was difficult to communicate with her due to her interruptions during conversation. The beer selection is good, and I have yet to have a bad beer here.
We went here for dinner as a group, or I should say returned here as we first visited late last year. What really brought us back was the pretzels & beer dip (Beer Cheese Dip on the menu), and the beer (for the beer drinkers). I also got BBQ chicken wings which were quite tasty. Everyone was happy with their food and the beer drinkers really love The Dare (a German style ale). Next time we are in Albany Im sure we wills top by again.
Great beer and eclectic ever-changing menu. This time around I tried the barley salad with the Cajun shrimp while other members of my party selected the Americano Burger, pork belly mac and cheese and the jambalaya. All were satisfied, although the burger may have sat awhile before serving. We chalked it up to the fact that it was a holiday and extremely packed. That said the service was still timely and our server unharried and polite. Will surely return.
Staff are consistently inhospitable and rude. Food is heavy and unappetizing. Although I love craft beer, I can’t find a single one on the menu I enjoy.I’ve tried to like this place, gone back several times since they have opened, but my most recent experience solidified my opinion. Whether just for drinks, lunch, or dinner with friends, I have had many unenjoyable experiences here.Do yourself a favor and go to any one of the other local breweries or restaurants. There are many amazing options to choose from on the same block/street, where you’ll find better food and drink, and the staff at those other businesses will act as if they want you to be there.
Good atmosphere. The wait time for a table was beyond ridiculous! Once seated, our party of six Teeterd at one of the hightops for the rest of the evening. Tables just too small. Drinks were OK. The food however, may be among the worst I’ve ever had in a Schenectady restaurant! Pricey, Very fatty, greasy and the kebabs not edible. Too many good restaurants close by to go back to this one!
The pork belly lo mein was not good. It was literally drenched in sauce that was pooled at the bottom of the bowl. However, the pork was nicely cooked. I would not recommend. Calamari was fine. My sister got a burger and the fries were amazing. Server was efficient but really not friendly. I think I would have been happy with a different dish
Took my mom for lunch today. We both loved it and our server, Alyssa was top notch! We both really recommend our orders: I had the baby kale caesar salad with steak tips and mom had the cubano. Both equally delicious. And to start we had the asian-inspired wings which were really flavorful and meaty. Had to have their dessert which was a special cake-of-the-day and it was a perfect way to end the meal. Oh...they have beer. : ) Its good, too. We had the pilsner which totally satisfied. Just go!
Having been going to Druthers since the 1st week they wereally open and go at least once a week, bartenders are the best, there managers are top notch people, and the beer is the best locally produced! And of course the food is always delicious, menu changes regularly. My wife and I are I guess youd say regulars there and always enjoy ourselves, because of great service, great food, and GREAT BEERWe go out regularly and we can spend our money at a lot of great places, but 9 out of 10 were at Druthers
Whats not to love: great food, terrific service, local brews, congenial atmosphere. Theres something for everyone on the menu - from specialized pizzas and hearty sandwiches (far better than the average pub fare) for the hungry to some creative and delicious salad combinations for the healthy eater. The menu isnt huge, but there are some great vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. I chose the barley greens salad and found it delicious and filling. My partner chose the personal pizza and thought it was great. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I cant wait to return and try some of their other options.
Four of us ate/ drank here As part of our typical journey back from the Adirondacks. We Google a brewery and just go to the closest one. Sometimes they suck but normally it’s great and this was definitely a great time. Very good food, good beer, great staff and a really nice building.
Went in for my wife’s birthday, food was mediocre at best. Burger with rolls that were soggy beyond edible and other dish came out cold.Server has to be more attentive with tables and make sure you look back at your table to handle issues early in the service. No management came to table to ask about concerns.
Great beer and food, they serve up HUGE portions for all of their dishes. Keep this in mind for their pasta dishes and ask which ones they are able to do half portions if you, dont want the full dinner serving. The microbrews they serve up are pretty good all finishing clean but a bit more hoppy than I tend to like in an amber. Great service and make sure to try the wood fired pizza. I know , pizza is everywhere but give it a go.
If you come to Albany I highly reccomend Druthers. This place has great food and a comfortable atmosphere. Their burgers are great and the appetizers are good too. One downside is the parking, definitely try to come for an early dinner or you will have trouble parking.
Went here to check out their infamous beers from their menu that was posted on their site, they didnt have 3 of the beers we wanted to try! Then their menu is not that great considering the amount of raving folks do The mac n cheese wasnt very impressive;it was bland and the toppings reminded me of doritos. People should get out more if you guys are so hell bent on how great the food was here. Service was awesome though!
My wife and I decided to finally take my parents out tonight to one of our favorite restaurants in the Capital Region, Druthers location in Albany. While our previous 15 times to Druthers have been easily 5 star experiences, this one was not. It wasnt the food. The food was excellent as always, as was the great beer selection. It wasnt our waiter, Jake. He was also excellent. It was the inability of one of the managers, Charlotte, to be flexible and accommodating of a customers easily fulfilled request. My wife is a bit of a picky eater. She has her favorite meals at all of the restaurants that weve ever been to, including Druthers. Druthers changes their menu seasonally, which is expected after having been there as many times as we have. My wifes meal, the Loaded Grilled Cheese, has come and gone a couple of times but has always been accommodated by the great kitchen staff. Tonight, after we realized that it was gone, we asked Jake if it could still be made. The ingredients were still used in the production of other items. Its a pretty simple sandwich - Grilled Cheese with smoked chicken and bacon on it, with ranch and barbecue sauce. The grilled cheese is still offered, but now with Philly cheesesteak on it. The smoked chicken and bacon are still in use in the Loaded Mac.Now, if it were an extraordinarily busy evening and the kitchen was right out straight, I could understand not being able to fulfill anything not on the menu. But it was a Sunday night and the restaurant was maybe half full with no wait. We were sat right near the kitchen and could see when Jake asked his manager, Charlotte, if this could be done. It was her response that made me want to write this review. She goes in a snotty tone (I could hear her with how close we were to them), No, just tell her we dont have the ingredients. Like I said, they had the ingredients and the kitchen wasnt busy, no reason why this couldnt have been accommodated, other than her approval. So we said fine, and my wife ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Grilled Cheese, but with Chicken and Bacon. Jake brought it back to her to confirm that they could do it and she said in a snotty way once again, No, shes just trying to get around it.Now come on. On top of my full time job, I help run two customer facing small businesses. In either of those businesses I try my hardest to take care of my customers in whatever way I can. If this was Druthers policy, Charlotte didnt get the memo. We wont be back until they either have the Loaded Grilled Cheese on the menu, or until they can make the simple decision to take their customers experiences seriously.
We were really excited to see Druthers open an Albany location after enjoying their Mac and cheese selection and beers in Saratoga. Great food, great beer, gorgeous venue, you really cant go wrong. Some people here are complaining about the price, but I would counter that with pointing out the amount of food your given. I can never finish the Mac and cheese as a dinner when I order it and often have it for lunch the next day. The burgers are decently sized as well and the rice bowl was huge. If you havent given Druthers a shot yet, you should.
Eh. Nothing special. Enjoyed the beers....a Spring lager and an Amber ale. Food was ok. Based on the reviews here I was really looking forward to the calamari. You people REALLY need to get out more if youre raving about the calamari here. Atmosphere was bland. A brewery needs a beer garden. None here. Stop in to fill a growler, but dine elsewhere .
Really a fan of Druthers. Good beer selections and excellent creative pub fare. Burgers, pizza and wings are all very good there. Its a really big space so Ive never experienced a wait, but parking in that area can be a hassle. be prepared to park on the street several blocks away and walk over. Theres no parking lot.
Located in a factory district a stones throw away from the Hudson, Druthers stands out against its neighbor (a National Grid barn) in both style and class. The exterior is warm and welcoming, and you couldnt feel more at home inside. With a cozy fireplace at the center, this brewpub brings a sense of down home comfort to its diners. Of the eleven beers on tap, I only ended up really liking two of them. The rest were mediocre to below average (on a good day). The food was stellar; my girlfriend and I devouring tasty burgers that leave you full and content. I didnt find it particularly expensive once drinks were deducted. If youre looking for great beer, there are plenty of better offerings in Albany and Troy. For the casual restaurateur, Id reccomend.
Had a great lunch with a friend at Druthers today. Servers are very efficient and friendly. Food comes out quickly, but you dont feel rushed. We split the barley greens salad and the Druthers Mac and cheese.. Delicious! Plenty of food for lunch and a hefty doggy bag for later.
Atmosphere: Among the best around. Friendly staff, wide open space, clean, exposed brick interior.Food: Top notch! A variety of quality options; large portions.Beer: Below average. Unless you like malty beer you will probably be disappointed. Needs a quality IPA.Summary: One of the best places around. Only thing missing is a few non-malty beers on draft.
Drinks ,atmosphere and staff were great.. Menu items a lil weird for me.. Had chick parm bites (app) was Absolutely AMAZING (im italian too) !!!Margarita pizza was really good too!!Will deff visit again to try something a lil more non traditional as thats the majority of their menu..
The food is amazing here but both times Ive gone, Ive had waitresses that clearly didnt want to be there. Our last waitress had so much attitude from the start and was slamming plates on our table, taking things away without saying anything, and never checking up on us. I understand that a place such as Druthers can get very overwhelming, but both times I went I felt more of a burden than a guest.
Druthers Saratoga: The server we had was very knowledgable regarding the menu and beers brewed on site. She was attentive and we never felt rushed although it was a Friday evening and was very busy. Friends arrived and they were easily seated with us. The food, beer, prices and courtyard make this an extremely valued venue. We look forward to visiting Druthers in Albany.
This place is AWESOME !! To top it off the calamari is to dead for !! The beer simple is VERY TASTEFUL. Base upon what you choose I say that in good faith. The pastrami sandwich DAMM GOOD, And then the brickovern pizza WHAO..You wont be disappointed once you visit. The food service top notch.
I sat at the bar with my wife and her grandmother for 6 minutes without even being acknowledged. One bartender was too busy chatting with a couple ( who had full glasses) while completely ignoring everyone else at the bar. The other bartender kept running to the back with what looked like a bathroom key but was probably the keg room key. No service tickets were being made, patrons were sitting at the bar with empty glasses, and my group sat there with no glasses or menus. We came here on a recommendation from my wifes cousin, however will likely never come back. First impressions go a long way. I went to pump station and was greeted before I even sat down. Bad service will ruin you faster than a bad product.
My bf has dragged me to alot of questionable breweies and Im always down for trying out a less than popular restaurant on a not so cute street. Druthers however, was everything you want and need in your life. I have never had so many good beers brewed in one place. The food is not only satisfying in size but orgasmic in taste. The staff is enthusiastic about the pleasure youre going to have while at Druthers. Please come here.
Been there twice ingredients are fresh and seasonal. In fact Im ordering a 1/2 pan of the Fall Harvest Mac & Cheese for a side dish for Thanksgiving.(Roasted cauliflower, butternut squash,Brussels sprouts, carrot, broccoli) it is to die for. If anything this dish should be the 1st choice.

2022-06-05Came in for a weekend lunch and try some beers. Casual bar fare menu, extensive beer list, and quick service. On-premise brewing facilities are cool to check out. Limited parking but you should really take a cab!

2022-06-125/27/22 update: Loaded Mac and this pizza ring appetizer thing on point. My sister enjoyed it, too!2/20/22 update: nothing like a fresh All In.Every time I go the waiters and waitresses are so kind and friendly. Thanks to my most recent waitress for the extra beer cheese! So delicious. The Mac and cheese is divine and I’ve had the loaded chicken and bacon one twice. I love the happy hour prices and I generally go with the IPA, but the Oktoberfest was calling my name and ‘tis the season and it was lovely, too. This is going to become my beloved pitstop on my way up to Upstate NY.

2022-06-01Service was awesome. The strawberry basil margarita just tasted like not-so-great tequila and the peanut burger used to be sweet and nutty and scrumptious but tonight it just tasted like someone put chili on my burger.Love the beer, service, and atmosphere- but the food just wasn’t the best tonight

2021-08-01Great food & atmosphere. The beer is tasty (All-in & The Dare are my favorites). Make sure to try the Monkey bread! Chicken wings are crispy & saucy.

2022-02-07Sat at the bar for a quick dinner with some drinks. Amazing vibe inside accompanied by indoor fire pits. Very large size potions and amazing menu options for both food and beer. Highly recommend if spending time in Albany.

2021-08-24We had the monkey bread and the pretzels and beer cheese which were both amazing. The strawberry beer was delicious and the Russian mudslide was such a treat

2021-05-28We started with the pretzel and beer cheese and a flight of beer. Then we each had the loaded Mac and cheese (mine was without bacon or ranch). The food was fantastic! And the bar was very clean. There was a bottle of hand sanitizer at every spot at the bar. We are huge druthers fans, and this was our first time going out since the pandemic started. Most staff were unmasked (which is okay according to the cdc). Customers are required to wear a mask when not seated.

2022-05-08Really great experience! Our waiter was super chill, super nice, super friendly and all over just very laid back which was really great and a change. We didnt catch his name (but he has a mullet if that helps!) The food was really good, our table of six had the BBQ pork sandwich (personally had, so so good.), Americano smashburger, Greek salad (with shrimp & chicken) delish, the original mac&cheese, the strawberry fields salad, appetizer was beer cheese & pretzels, which was super good and the kiddo had fries & pizza. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy. Including 3 beers which were also all really good.Area was clean, staff was great, food was super good, the parking was a little limited but easy for the time our reservation was (5:15pm)Would absolutely go again!!!

2021-07-26The Loaded Monkey Bread is amazing along with the Irish Stout and Strawberry beer. We drove all the way from Ohio to checkout this brewery. We will be back.
