My 3 sons and I go regularly. its always been a great experience. In the past I have had a hard time finding a place that could take my toddler and teens turn around and give me a really barbershop experience. DSZ is the place. My barber Alan take care of my toddlers hair cleans him up keeping him entertained and comfortable in the kids room. Than turns it around cuts my hair cleans me up fast and perfect at his classic barber station. Alan is a true professional. All the while Pablo and Melvin Sr. Give my teenages the works. 4 hair cuts in and out 1 hour.

Well I give this Shop a 5 out of 5, reason being I showed up a few minutes late because of traffic but The barber I was assigned to was not having it and clearly had a problem with my late arrival. Shop owner took into his own hands to cut my hair which was the best cut I’ve ever had. Shows he cares about his costumers and will not tolerate anything but professionalism from his barbers 💈 Best Barber shop in town !!!
For a haircut thats twice the price of other barbershops, I assumed I was going to get a professional cut. Unfortunately it was lackluster at best. It was merely a hair and beard trim I received. No styling or actual work done. 20 minutes and it was all over. I had to literally go to a different barbershop afterwards to get it fixed up. Still 2 stars because I guess there technically was a haircut done. Probably wont be going back ever again.Reply to Owner: Im not trying to get anyone in trouble so Id rather not say any names. I never spoke up after the haircut was completed. I wanted to settle into the cut to see if maybe it did look great and I was just crazy. Yes, I did have an appointment though. However a walk-in got squeezed in between my appointment and the next appointment so maybe mine just became a rush cut.
Allan is a great barber. He always exceeds my expectations with his professionalism and talent. He is the master of scissor cuts and beard trimming. I highly recommend him and this barbershop.
Alan is an amazing barber! The entire place is very proffessional, clean and organized. I just make my appointment, go in, get a great haircut and thats it! Very easy and convenient. Sometimes I make my appointment the same day! Very efficient shop!
The place resembles a 60s barber shop, everyone is dressed professional and dapper. The barbers are very nice and so is the girl behind the desk. Very clean atmosphere and the haircut was amazing. They are a tiny bit more pricey than a normal haircut but its definitely worth it.

I am as particular about my barber as I am when it comes to caring for my Caddy, “Ice pick Willy”. There is one detailer who buffs out my ride and one barber who has all the ladies running their fingers through my hair like I’m Uncle Jesse from Fullhouse and that’s ALLAN! Allan is situated in the back of the barbershop. If I was owner of the shop I’d have his barber chair right up against the glass window to attract new customers. Recently for the first time I had my beard trimmed and shaped by him and people were asking me under my Instagram picture if Jesus himself came down and shaped my lines
I have been a patron of DSZ since the shop opened. There is a reason I only go to this shop and its because it is the best! From the moment you walk in it feels like home. Comfy, great ambiance, and amazing service. I get my haircut by Alan and now have a standing appointment with him. Alan is an amazing barber and and even more amazing guy! He always asks about my family and myself and is always remembers where we left off on our conversation. I would HIGHLY recommend going to Alan for your haircut. He can do ANYTHING. you need! I always feel like a million bucks when I leave DSZ! Dont forget to say hello to the owner Steve! He is a great guy and always goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable!

I drive all the way from Brooklyn to only get a hair cut from my favorite barber Flori. I leave the place satisfied every time, it’s totally worth it if you ask me. I recommend him to anyone who wants to look good and feel confident!
I walked in because my barber closed down. It was a fancy place with good lighting and great hospitality but I was skeptical if they could do my hair. I ended up having a guy named Alan cut my hair. He was a phenomenal barber and showed advanced mastery over his craft. Anything I wanted he did. Easily the best hair cut I have received. He took his time and made great conversation. Will recommend other people to come and definitely ask for Alan. Will return.
Amazing service. Ive been going to flori for 3+ years and he always takes his time to perfect whatever style i ask for. I got another haircut today and told him I wanted to change it up. He chose the perfect style that suits how my hair grows as always.
Everytime I get a haircut or beard trim I always have the best service. They are top notch and all the barbers have done a great job! Its a little pricey but worth every penny.
For starts, best barber shop in Rockland, hands down. Always clean , girls upfront are nothing but accommodating and very friendly. Diego is awesome also. Been going to Alan now about 3 months. One of my favorite barbers I have been to. Very nice , great conversation, and absolute hands of gold. He is my go to. Beard and and hair cut, literally always spot on. Highly recommend.
Just moved up to Rockland a few months ago from the city and have been looking for a new barber since. For anyone who as loyal as I am to my barber, youd understand why I was willing to drive back down to get a hair cut. Sadly, the only person to ever cut my hair retired and I was told about how awesome this place is.I just left and Ill tell you it was the best damn hair cut and shave Ive EVER had!Made an appointment for 1pm and when I got here I was directed to John.To the owner, I hope youre reading this because John was the most pleasant and professional barber Ive ever been too. Thats saying a lot since Ive stuck with the same one for 27 years up until today. Its very easy to tell he is a master of his trade.Plus, whoever thought of being able to have some coffee or a drink while youre there getting a haircut is a genius. This place is top notch and as long as John is there, Ill be back.Worth every penny.Strong work gentleman.
In my opinion, every guy should experience this kind of barber shop at least once in their life. My haircut (and barber) was nothing short of spectacular. I was a bit concerned at first that my barber didnt seem to use the clippers much, opting instead for scissors. That concern quickly went away as I saw just how uniform and smooth he was able to get my back and sides with the scissors. I gave him a good amount of artistic freedom with the cut, as well, and he didnt disappoint. It was an all around top notch experience given by a true pro with nearly 30 years experience. The wonderful woman working the desk was also super nice. I feel great! Theres nothing quite like the confidence you gain from looking fresh and sharp after a great cut. Thanks, DSZ! See you soon.
Posting online reviews is not what I normally do, but the attitude and lack of professionalism made me want to post this; the receptionists were rude and unprofessional. They just want to assign the barber they feel like, asked to go with Melvin, was told that he was not available (Despite the fact he had no clients for the 45 minutes I was there), and was almost pushed to get my haircut by a wonder barber young kid who had no clue of his career nor had any meaningful conversations while performing the service.
I got a DSZ Barbers Inc. Gift Certificate for my husband for Fathers Day. I paid around $60 for a haircut, and straight razor shave, plus was able to put the tip on credit card. I ordered the Gift Certificate on the telephone, and I was promptly emailed a photo of it.I really had high hopes for this barber shop, as one with dedication, talent, and atmosphere...not to mention that indescribable quality of feeling...that is very hard to come by. The atmosphere couldnt have been better. Picture a remodeled saloon of yesteryear that retains the same quaintness of a by - gone era, with all the modern amenities one would expect. Cappuccino upon check in anyone? A nice selection of products, and helpful and friendly (young) staffers rounded out a good impression.However, the actual service performed by Beatrize was...ho hum...just OK, and needed to be finished twice. The hair was even, corners evenly rounded, and the back of the neck shaved, but this service was nothing spectacular, and was surprisingly not as good looking as the Upper East Side barber shop (that also sells and repairs watches of all things) that my husband goes to when in the City.So, if a $12 haircut can be technically better performed, and also look better than this quaint little local shop, why bother going to DSZ Barbers? Certainly, youre not saving any money, and youre not getting a memorable haircut. Just OK, I regret to report.All in all, good to visit once, but a loser.
I made an appointment on the phone, super easy, Adam or Alan cut my hair, masks make it hard to hear I guess, Wtvr the dudes name was he didn’t have a problem understanding what I wanted him to do to my hair. Best hair cut I’ve had in a long time, I’m very impressed with the entire experience and I’ll deff be back here soon. Awesome place all around 5/5 easy
We had a great experience here with Alan! After 4 awful haircuts at other barbers I decided to bring my 2 year old to Alan based off of his great reviews working with children. He was so patient and kind with my fidgety two year old and the end result was an absolutely perfect and adorable cut. My little guy looks so clean cut - will definitely be back!
Originally I was coming into the shop just to gawk at the receptionist, they’re really nice. Then I actually started to like Steve’s haircut after 3 years, so now I go for both the haircuts and the receptionist. Haha in all honesty this place is a great establishment that cares about creating a clean and fun environment for their customers. All the barbers are somewhat different, so you get a great clientele creating a cool vibe at the barbershop especially on fridays and Saturdays, but very busy those days.
I have to start off by saying , best place my boyfriend has ever been to, my boyfriend had an amazing experience there, we first heard about DSZ barbers through a friend , it was highly recommended and now i know why! beautiful old fashion barbershop ! very clean and very well built. seems as if everything was custom built, the staff is amazing, they were all very nice!! as soon as you walk in you’re welcomed and offered a drink ! we did not make an appointment but we got taken care of right away!I highly recommend this place !!thank you DSZ barbers for an amazing experience for my boyfriend!
My husband has been getting his haircut here for about a year. Every time we walk into this beautiful barber shop we are greeted with the most friendly receptionists and staff. They are always quick to offer you a bottled water or cappuccino. They really make you feel at home. Steve (the owner) is my husband’s barber and his hair has never looked better! He is a down to earth, genuine guy and always makes sure his shop is running smoothly, while giving his clients excellent service! Look no further...this shop is top notch!
I needed a new barber so I went here to try something new and out of my normal daily route. After my first experience I knew I would be going back. Its a clean barbershop with a chill vibe to it. Alan is great too. Hes cut my hair both short and long and its on point every time.
Steve is simply the best barber and very accommodating he squeezed us in a busy Saturday night so that my son will have a fresh haircut for his 3rd Birthday. He was so nice he talked to me the whole time my son was getting the haircut making sure we are satisfied and we got the haircut we wanted. First time at DSZ today and it was a very pleasant experience and Alex cut my hair better than I expected. In fact, he actually fixed the heinous haircut I received at a barbershop in Old Tappan.Also, to all the people giving bad reviews based on the price of the haircut - learn how to read because the prices are displayed and if you dont want to pay their price then go elsewhere. Its that simple. And to the people giving bad reviews based on bad haircuts - I can guarantee that it was YOUR fault for not being more articulate in what you wanted done.After my visit today and not only how Alex was with me, but also, hearing how the other barbers were with their customers, I find it very difficult if not impossible to believe their was a communication failure on the barbers end.It starts and ends with the customer/patron - and if youre not properly articulating (let alone even attempting to communicate efficiently) then what else can you expect than a haircut youre not happy with?UPDATE: I had my second visit today and while I scheduled with Alex prior to. I was told upon arriving Id be taken care of by another barber. Admittedly, although I was initially disappointed to hear this and not given any heads up before arriving, the barber I ended up with, John, was a pleasant surprise. He cut my hair a little shorter than I prefer and asked, but overall it was well done and Im satisfied, and will definitely be returning. And FYI - John, just like Alex, was very professional and receptive to what I wanted done.LAST UPDATE: My third time here and second time with John and I can undoubtedly say this shop and John are the best Ive ever had the pleasure of dealing with. And as long as Im in the area, this is my only choice Werds.
Went over the weekend to get haircut and took my son too. Place is really nice and most of the stuff is friendly. I had great barber ( Indian man not sure name) did excellent haircut but my son had older gentleman who really don’t have patience and wasn’t really kids friendly. I may be back but not sure I’ll bring my son back. Even at the end when my son was tipping the barber he couldn’t turned around ( was talking to front desk)to him and to say “ thank you” really ?

This is a pet friendly, family-friendly barber shop and the lovely receptionists who bring you your whiskey would love to keep an eye on them while you get a fresh cut. Ive been coming to DSZ for almost 2 years now and Ive gone to just about every barber they have; and I always leave happy with the quality of the cut. $33 price tag might sound a touch high for the standard hair cut, but the straight-razor neck shave that comes along with it is well worth the price in my opinion. Im coming here for my hair cut before my wedding. -Mike
Ive been getting my hair cut by Alan for a couple years now and I wouldnt go to or trust anyone else. He always takes his time and makes sure that he gives you exactly what you want, never skipping out on the small details that sometimes get overlooked by other barbers. Alan is really easy to talk to and always asks if I want coffee, beer, whiskey or water the second I sit in his chair. As for DSZ, the place is amazing; its incredibly clean, friendly and very accommodating. Overall, I would highly recommend going to DSZ and if you do ask for Alan! Keep up the amazing work guys!
I haven’t been able to find a good barber who stays consistent with their hair cuts. Alan at DSZ is precise with his cuts and gives you the same fresh cut every time you go to him. Alan takes pride in his work and will make your experience at DSZ a great one.
If you dont get the owner or the other veteran barber youre going to get someone posing as competent. The cut I got today was a joke unfortunately. I came with pictures of what I wanted. I got something else. I still left a tip to be polite. Barber named Sean was excellent, apparently hes moved on. I will too Im done with this place. Leaving this here for others to see. - Jay
I have to say that this is the most professional run barber shop I’ve ever been to. I moved out of state to Delaware and I make sure to come get my cut and shave from Flori every month. There is no other place like it and I don’t ever think I’ll find a more talented master barber then Flori. Much respect to everyone there that keeps that place running smooth and clean. Haircuts have always been a chore for me, I never stuck with a barber because I didnt care. Got a cut a from Sam my first time there and got compliments on it for weeks. Same with my next cut from flori. Everyone here knows what they are doing. Service is great, people are polite and helpful, and the atmosphere is just how you would hope a barbershop would be. Cant recommend this place enough, this is how a business should be run
Wasnt sure what to do with my handlebar moustache and goatee. Melvin knew immediately and walked me thru maintaining the super clean look he provided. All future beard trimming will be with Melvin, the man performs magic!!
My son goes here every 6-8 weeks (he keeps it short) and has nothing but great things to say about them (his favorite is SAM). As a mom of a 16... going on 17.... year old, I can say they are hard to please, but his hair looks so good and neat every time, he loves it. Hes been to numerous salons and other barbers that were recommended but we have never received the same quality and consistency in the cuts that we get here. Glad to find such talented barbers in South Rockland County. He has been through three styles and they nail every one of them. When he has an appointment he never waits more than 5 min because they stick to their appointment schedule. It usually takes about 20 min. for his cut (yay! so I can wait and its quick). Definitely would recommend them.
I take my 3 year old son here for his haircuts and I also get my haircut here, they do an amazing undercut and will even give you a nice design. Carl is the man, but the entire staff is professional and the atmosphere is a cool one. A little on the pricier side, but you get your moneys worth.

All the negative reviews sound so petty. You get a bad haircut, get over it, it takes 2-3 weeks for your hair to grow back, it is not like they are cutting your limbs off.This is a very nice shop, great design and just a place to chill and forget the stress of outside world

I haven’t had a normal hair cut in 10+ years and I just moved back to the east coast so I was looking for a barbershop (I worked on platforms in the Cook Inlet AK, no rotation so I was never home).I found DSZ 💈 shop, this place was really cool and the people there were super friendly. The vide is relaxing and I was impress how clean it was. Definitely a cool place and I’ll be returning for sure I’m glad I found this place .The only thing I messed up was I didn’t bring cash on me to give a tip. Next time when I get my 2nd haircut I’ll give the guy a double tip. I never forget things so if you read this I will return !!! I need to start having paper cash on me a lot more lolOverall I requirement this place ! It’s awesome .
Desk- very unorganized. Example- “your appointment is with so and so at 7 o’clock and then at 7 o’clock your meeting the newest barber on the team who you were not originally scheduled withGreat ambiance and great products but if these guys are “master barbers” then the young kids all around haverstraw are “godlike barbers” with their 6 months of experience. The owner himself needs to hang up the clippers and the razor. He should change his name to Jack because that’s what he smells like on a Friday night. I could trim my beard better with my eyes closed at 3am
The location, the friendly welcome you get when you walk in the door, the front desk assistant, and the decor all make for a great first impression. $29 for a good haircut is not an issue for me. I had my hair cut by one of tbe barbers, and that did not go well. I gave clear instruction on the length, how much to cut, and the style that I liked. He got busy texting before we got started, and then he took the buzzer and shaved off too much hair. I got a buzz cut. Not what I wanted. Not what I asked for. To balance it out he had to cut my hair very short on top, to the point where it cant be styled. Not what I wanted either.Big disappointment.
They should not having people not knowing how to cut hair doing a style for a wedding when should the barber ask the client what size he should use for his clippers. Ruined my fiancé’s hair had fix it at a proper barber. And the one we had an attitude.
I had the pleasure of coming to this shop back around the time that they first opened (back in early November or the end of September 2014) before taking a month long vacation to Europe.Not only was the atmosphere amazing, so was the barber/owner Steve! Im a guy who gets fades and Steve did it all with scissors, literally treating every single hair with the upmost respect. Same goes for the shave, which was truly outstanding! I have never had a barbershop experience that has even come close to comparing with the one I received all of those years ago and I am not expecting to at any other place in my lifetime.Now I have a big mop on my head, as Ive been trying to grow my hair longer than ever before. As always, though, Im getting the itch to go and chop it all off. Luckily I know a place that wont be chopping it at all, instead giving me a precision haircut which is more than affordable considering the love they (or at least Steve) put into it.If youre reading this, Im the guy who worked for a beer distributor in NJ.
I took my husband and brother here for the day before our wedding. Found this place on google and what a hidden treasure trove. Amazing vintage style/ stellar customer service front to back/ and it’s a steal for the price. What turned into a day of pamper has now turned into our forever barbershop!!!!
Ask for Mel. For the last few months, Ive had my haircut and shave done by Mel. This gentleman is on point; he carefully discovered my likes and dislikes regarding past haircuts and then the look I was going for. He made it happen. Great chair manners and conversation too.

OUTSTANDING TALENT! This is the place to go to get the best hot shave and haircut in a 100 mile radios. Excellent customer service. Remember this is not SuperCuts and you will not be in and out in twenty minuets, this is the place where the art of shaving comes from. Plan an hour for a hot shave and haircut. Can be a slight wait at times, but this place is so worth it. You can not find a friendlier staff and Stephen the barber is amazing He really listens to what you want, but also gives great ideas for styles. I am addicted. My husband and son visited this establishment today. All I can say is, I am so thankful!Greg is absolutely amazing! My husband typically breaks out in hives each and every time he goes to a barbershop for an edge up. As I write this review, my husband doesnt have a single hive and an hour has gone by. The only negative is, we live in Connecticut - 😭.
Modern, yet retro, barbershop. All barbers are well dressed and personable. Free beer, espresso or water when you enter. Great place for a shave, too. Large selection of mens hair and beard products. (Great place to take your sons of all ages, too.)
THE BEST in the BIZ. I drive 50 minutes frequently to get my cuts here. They also did the cuts and shaves for my entire wedding party on a SAT morning. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. They also offer beer, whisky and water. TOP NOTCH.
Flori is the man! From the minute that I walk into this shop I know that I’ll be well taken care of by Flori. I don’t even have to say anything when I sit in his chair because he knows what he needs to do and he tailors the needs to each of his customers. Pros: nice place, you get offered espresso, water, they take your coat.Cons: Barber left big spots uncut which I had to fix at home. Asymmetric on the sides even after pointing it out, barber didnt correct it. $29+tip=35 , for an $8 haircutGo to starbucks, then go to a decent place with reasonable prices and youll come out ahead.
First time going to their shop very friendly staff good cut great shave. Im 39 years old this was the first and most likely the last time coming back for a cut never have I paid $60 for a cut my normal barber does the same exact cut hot towel cold towel shave everything for $25 Im sorry to say just in my opinion we are not in NYC to expensive
I had Flori. He was very friendly and gave me the best haircut I can remember. Staff was very friendly, even considering that I was a few minutes late. Very professional and welcoming. The haircuts are expensive, but for the quality, atmosphere, service, etc., it is not overpriced or anything.
Outstanding gentlemens barber shop! I do not even shave anymore, in fact if I do, Steve, the primary barber and owner gets annoyed at me. whenever I shaved I always seemed to mess up the shave he gave me! Clean lines, and a traditional Manhattan shave are incredible. Not to mention the talent that each one of the barbers there have in giving awesome haircuts. Their opinions on style and the intuition of what will look awesome and what will not are on point. I give these gentlemen the highest of marks across the board for service, professionalism and courtesy. I have now been going to Steve, twice a week on average, since he opened. In addition to the outstanding artwork they make with haircuts and shaves, the unparalleled friendships I have there are even better. To get all of this at a local gentlemens barber shop makes the price for it inconsequential.

DSZ is quite a find. New School meets Old School! Its a really gorgeous spot inside that you dont want to leave. The head barber Steve is very gregarious and I enjoyed talking to him about the NFL & the Jets. Also got an excellent shave here. If you havent been to DSZ you need to go now!
This is not your only choice. Plenty of great barbershops in havestraw that you will pay less for. If you like thinking your an important person and being treated like one until your broke. Better you get a nice haircut and still have extra money in your pocket than come back to this place.

These guys are old school Pros. After 15 years in NYC and a move up here, I was concerned I would be traveling back to city for a haircut all the time. Not anymore. Steve does a superior job. This is best place to get a real gentlemens cut. Highly recommend.

Pablo ruined my hair. I should have known by looking at him, his own haircut is ridiculously horrible, like a mushroom cut. He’s very awkward and strange too. This experience was overpriced. No drinks or perks like some people get. I got nothing but ruined hair and a much lighter wallet.
I brought my 9 year old son there for the first time. We used flori, he was very nice and helpful and professional. The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff nice and efficient! My son is very particular about his hair and I would recommend this place to anyone I know.
Trust me...skip it. Been going to this place religiously (once a month) since I moved to the area 2 years ago. I pass a dozen other shops to get to it, but it always seemed to be worth it until recently.Started out with a walk-in appointment about a month ago where I got paired up with an absolute hack of a barber (name withheld to incentivize you to not roll the dice and walk out of this place worse for the wear)...unfortunately I had to leave town for work, which meant I had to walk into ANOTHER shop the next day and pay again to fix what these guys did to me before stepping in front of anyone in a professional setting.Today, I walked in for my pre-arranged appointment (again, not gambling on a walk-in EVER after the last experience) only to be told that they had screwed up my reservation and couldn’t fit me in with my barber of choice until the following week. Obviously I was a bit upset that I had planned my day around this appointment and thought surely they’d be able figure something out, but instead I just got a half-hearted “Sorry...” from the receptionist while the shop’s owner stood there mouth-breathing at me, seemingly unwilling (or perhaps incapable?) of resolving the situation.I have no patience for hacks, and even less for unprofessional cowards who leave their employees to take fire on the frontlines while they sit back - if you agree, or just don’t want a haircut you have to pay to get fixed the next day, don’t believe the hype and pass right on by this place.
This is the best mens barber shop in Rockland County by far. It has an old school city barber shop feel with the amenities of a modern shop with a younger generation of barbers who understand todays style and service. They make you feel like part of the family through a level of service and care which is second to none. If you go anywhere else, youre doing yourself a disservice.

Way too expensive. I asked for a taper. No cut on top and they still charged me $33. Never has a barber charge me that kind of money for less then a full haircut. I usually get charger $35 for a cut and fixing up my beard.
You dont just get an haircut here, you get an experience. A haircut and shave are an hour, 30 minutes a piece, no one is rushing. The barbers take their time, complete scissor cut and straight razors. Very simple, the best of the best.
1st time here, Im an out of stater here for work needed a haircut real bad. Read some reviews saw they served beer and close to me so on I went. Pricey but u get a approximately a 16oz beer (tasted like Budweiser) for free regardless of the time. As for haircut not to shabby, looks better then what it did.
Alan is the best in the business. Won’t go to anyone else. If you are going to DSZ for fade/hot towel shave I highly recommend going to Alan.

Usually I ask for Flori, because he somehow always knows exactly what Im trying to describe in my mongo-inarticulate way. But I had to get a quick cut and Flori was booked. Because hes awesome. So I got a guy named Sam. And guess what? Sam Jacobs gives righteous haircuts. Hes a pro. First world problem: which awesome barber do I ask for next time? DSZ rules.

2022-01-16Great barber shop with a nostalgic decor. The service is exceptional. They offer you a complimentary espresso and have a chess set available to play while you wait. Its pretty busy on weekends, so booking in advance is highly recommended. Im always happy after getting my haircut here!

2022-02-02Reading all these 1 star reviews all I can say is those people that wrote had a bad day, I use DSZ for me and my 2 sons for over 3 years never did I see anyone in there that wasnt a 5 star barber, from the receptionist to the owner all real professionals,Whenever my kids want to change there haircut style they will just show a photo how they want it and when done, POP it is a perfect picture match.I recommended alot of people to DSZ and not a single one ever had a complain, so to all who have a bad experience look yourself in the mirror first to make sure you know what you want and not have unreasonable expectations.Stave keep up your amazing atmosphere in this place and know that you have real repeat customers that will travel 40 minutes to get a haircut.

2022-03-26So, this morning was my first time to DSZ. I drove 20 minutes for the haircut to see what they are about. ( I made the appointment last night) To be honest, I wasnt sure if the experience they mention on the website was just a gimmick, but I figured why not?Essentially, this shop is LEGIT, not limited to just the decor and feel. The experience and the vibe are all what I thought of prior to getting on site based on their description on their site.I got my cut from Noel and he took his time!This is not my typical experience for a shop in Rockland county. Not just a twenty minutes, out the chair, meet the quota type of haircut.To be honest, I grew my hair out and told him to do what he thought was best. Thats what he did. I get the best cut Ive had in a long time, if not ever. He paid attention to my scalp and hair type. How do I know? He spoke to me about it as he was cutting my hair. Doing so letting me know what he was doing and what he would do next and why. I ask YOU when has your barber done this?Then, I asked about the straight shave service. After conversing, I left it off with next time I come, Ill bring my personal straight razor. To which he responded with a yes sir!Service like this is in my experience seldom found and I WILL be back. Definitely a spot for anyone who wants to have a gentlemanly experience.Keep it up fellas!With a humble thank you.

2022-06-04Best Barber experience, I came in for a full clean facial shave , and it was perfect and clean, and quite relaxing, I loved the atmosphere and the old style of the building that adds to the barbershop…it’s like walking into the early 1900’s, this kind of vibe is something historic and feels wholesome.

2021-06-09Brought our son here for his first haircut. They exceeded all expectations. The receptionist was absolutely amazing. She was so kind and thoughtful when making his certificate and collecting hair for us. Steve was the definition of a master barber. He hit a home run. He made us feel so comfortable and helped us enjoy this milestone. We are so grateful.

2022-05-06Very disappointed with this Barber shop after Flori left, first I booked with Malvin and he didnt have any clue what he is doing, second I wanted to try Steve the owner and I booked two weeks in advance and in last minute they told me he just left and wont be available for me, so disappointed to treat customers like this, is just a sign look somewhere else 🤮

2019-03-24I heard so many good things about this place and was recommended by friends to check it out at least once. Even the 5 star reviews made it so attractive. I was actually surprised when they accepted walk-ins because I heard they are really busy. The lady at the counter was welcoming and told me she can get someone on me right away so that was nice. But that was the only thing. Im assuming I got the Gentlemans haircut because I paid $33, however being a college student, I thought that is overpriced for a haircut with what I can afford. But I figured, there is shampoo and neck shave involved and perhaps they can cut the style I want since they are professional.I wont describe my barber on here but he was very rough with me. The clippers hurt my skin and he was not subtle about it. I showed him a picture of what I wanted but honestly I dont know if he even saw it thoroughly. First I resisted the pain because I would have been happy if I left with a nice haircut. I had a good amount of hair to work with so that I can get the style I want. The barber not only cut it way too short on places I wanted longer and just butchered my hair to the point where it is difficult to work with. No shampoo was given and I was left with a bunch of hair on my head that it would fall in my shirt and on my dinner. I understand not all the hair can be removed until it is washed off, but it was pretty bad. Im usually not hard to satisfy because I have low standards and I just brush is off, but this has been bothering me all evening. At a place that charges much more than any other barbershop in town, I am very disappointed at the service and the cut. He did ask if the cut was okay and I said yes because honestly, this was after he hacked my hair off so there was nothing I can do about it.I really want to try this place out again, but I dont know if I want to spend the money to try a different guy in the shop. Two stars just because I like the interior and I really needed a haircut.
