Unacceptable Customer Service -We reserved a convertible from the airport location. the day before we are scheduled to leave we are told to pick up at the RT17K location. When we arrived they didnt have a convertible and wanted to put us in a Ford Fusion. Not sure how that is comparable to the convertible. We ended up in an SUV with a sun roof. We pulled out of the lot and immediately low tire light came on. Stopped for air and went on our way. About 100 miles down the road the car says Schedule service. We continued on our way until we got a flat tire. The car had no spare. Our hell continued from there as it was Mothers Day and we were in a remote location. I understand things happen and vehicles break down. But to leave us stranded in a gas station with our luggage for over 5 hours was COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. I have contacted the local office to discuss and noone has returned my calls. I would not recommend Enterprise or this location to anyone.
I reserved an intermediate vehicle with the thought that I would be able to upgrade but was given what I consider a compact vehicle Hyundai Accent. It was a short one-day trip so it didnt really matter. The car was clean inside but dirty with mud streaks on the outside. The staff was courteous but I requested to pre-pay the fuel but it was not selected so when I returned I was charged at the full refuel rate. I called to notify the manager and since I have another rental coming up the following week he offered a free tank of gas on the next one.
I was very happy with the Staff and service I received from the Newburgh Enterprise team. I would have given them 5 stars if 2021 BMW I rented had Satellite radio and a remote start, like my 2018 Chevy does. But, that wasnt the Staffs fault and, I was very pleased with their help and treatment.
I simply cannot give more than 2 stars for our rental experience. 1st car- the wiper fluid mechanism didnt work at all (day one I had to pull over and pour water over the window in order to see). Brought the car back and indeed it was inoperable. They upgraded me to a Lincoln Nautilus, which I thought was a nice gesture, but within 2 days I noticed the oil change needed alert on. Great, I figured no big deal, but it made me nervous. We had to extend the rental due to our car not yet ready at the body shop, but within days a check headlamp system alert came on and then 4 days later, the tire pressure light came on. Now mind you, we also saw the inspection sticker had expired in 2019 and the registration sticker expired Sept 2020. I will NOT ever rent from Enterprise again, nor will I recommend them to my colleagues. Forgot to mention the slight odor of a previous smoker. Three Strikes, your out...
I love this Enterprise location and the staff is always so wonderful and helpful. Ive rented from them at least 10 times a year and each experience has been great. Ive always found the associates who have picked me up to be courteous and careful drivers. I wish they were still able to pick you up but perhaps that will restart when covid settles down. Thanks again!
Drove a friend to pick up a car after she made all arrangements so I waited just in case. Five minutes later she comes out they cant run her c.c., the guy ran it a couple of times. Her car was in the repair shop & needed to have transportation, she called her bank and all was good. I went in to see if I could help but I told her to clean her card, the gentleman was quickly trying to help another person and train a girl. Our turn, he said he tried the card six times and if she had another one, we said try it again...oh my it worked. Deal completed. When she got home the repair shop called and said her car was ready, she went right back to return the car. I have rented from Enterprise many times before but in Florida. I had high hopes they would be good. Well they are not a sales car lot but this office sure seemed like it! Very disappointed with the slickness of the guy fibbing how much he wanted to help. The bank said if he ran the card three times her card would get locked, so how did the sales guy run it six times without it locking? Too slick for my taste, going to a different location if I ever need to.
My experience with Enterprise was the first of many! I was very impressed by how professional and accommodating the service I received was. Bryce and Tyler were extremely helpful and I appreciated them taking certain precautions that they did in terms of Covid-19. This made me feel super comfortable renting a car here and I will definitely be returning! The vehicle I rented was also immaculate inside and out. It felt like I was driving a brand new car off the lot. I cannot recommend this location enough!
I use Enterprise a lot for business purposes, and generally have a good experience. This time I was given a rental loaner car while my personal vehicle was in the dealership for a warranty repair. I realize the contract with the OEM must be bare bones, but the car I was given was obviously the smallest, highest mileage, least popular car in the lot. It had not been cleaned on the outside and was generally in less then stellar shape. Further, when Enterprise came to pick me up I had to ride in the back seat...Im 64 and a very big guy. This seemed totally unnecessary to me and was very uncomfortable. Sure did not help my impression of them any...
2021 - Spring: I am impressed yet again with the level of service I received at Newburgh Rent-A-Car. I ordered an SUV, but when I arrived to pick it up, I realized it had a backseat configuration that did not suit my family. Technically, Rent-A-Car fulfilled my request, but Kevin and Devin went above and beyond, amid a very busy day, to find me a different SUV with the desired backseat configuration. They called me a few hours later with good news. Their professionalism, enthusiasm, and patience greatly impressed me and made my trip comfortable. I will rent from them again and hope to deal with Kevin and Devin again.2020 - Fall: I ordered a non-smoking minivan ahead of time, from the Newburgh, NY Enterprise location. The minivan offered to me had a faint smoking smell and a broken console. As there were no more minivans available, the office manager offered me Ford Expedition at the same rental price. I was very impressed with the upgrade and the car itself. It was the right car for Hurricane Eta in Florida and flash flooding on I-95 in Wilson, NC - the two events I had to drive through on this last trip. From now on, I will be ordering Luxury SUV for long trips. The staff was professional and accommodating with this upgrade. I will continue using this location.
This has been my car rental company since the 80s. I have lived in 4 different states and they still are my go to for customer centered services! They pick me up from home or drop me off to my repair shop--no problem!! I was having difficulty connecting my phone to this new vehicle and this female associate took time to problem solve with a smile😀😀😀
I’ve used Enterprise many times but this time.... WOW! This is the same location I usually use when I need a car locally. This time was above and beyond. I reserved a car last minute due to mine going into the shop. I had asked for a full-size car and the reservation was confirmed. When I got there, I asked for a Dodge Charger if they had one, but was informed that they only one single car left. I wont say what it is because people would expect the same upgrade, but it was defintly the most expensive car I have ever driven. I had originally reserved it for 3 days but then had to extend it 2 times to a total of 8 days. I even offered to bring that car back and switch to something else but they refused and had me stay in the same car. Amazing experience! They were SO understanding and easy to deal with.
Im sure we all have a story but enterprise took the cake by screwing up my family vacation. Would not accept my companys credit card then when we downsized they wouldnt accept my mortgage bill as proof. The gal here just kept repeating her self like a magpie I want a utility bill.So we overcame improvised and adapted put plan B into effectLast time I rent from enterprise
I have been renting vehicles at the Enterprise on 17 k in Newburgh NY for years. The staff at that location has always been very accommodating and professional. If you reserve your vehicle ahead of time your in and out in five minutes. Returning of the vehicle is just as expedient. Always a great experience. Thanks again.
The Newburgh location experience was better than the last time. Last time a few years ago was the last time I used Enterprise.There cleaning process still lacks. The inside of windshield was filthy. I had to clean it.The xm radio worked for one day of the rental and I called multiple times and could not get it working. That was disappointing. Enterprise is still lower on my list of places I rent from. I rent many times a year.
What a joke. I reserved a car for the next three days. I drive all the way to Newburgh from Beacon and I go to pick it up today and they tell me I cant use a debit card that doesnt have a chip. They dont accept cash. Oh and you also need to bring a utility bill. (Maybe all of this should be in bold print when reserving the car) I had 2 other pieces of mail and the woman said she will not accept it. My appointment was at 12 noon mind you. So this left me not much time to get the things they claimed I needed. I called and told them I could be back by 1:15 and the woman told me sorry, we close at one. Now im left with a very disappointed child as we were taking a trip tomorrow. I will NEVER use enterprise in Newburgh again! Absolutely ridiculous!
Exceptional service, staff was friendly and eager to make sure that my family and i were not only satisfied with their service, but also made sure that the vehicle was safe and sanitary! Great experience over all! They set the bar for excellence with great attitudes and even greater professionalism! I rented a car from the airport in Newark and drove to Newburgh for business aboard the ANG Base. For several reasons, I needed to swap the car out and two other locations stated that I needed to go somewhere else or back to the airport (over an hour away). I went to this location and received exceptional service from the Assistant Branch Manager, Kevin Fleming, and his team. They made the entire swap process painless and were the utmost professionals! They really stand out as a customer-oriented team!
I arranged to drop off a rental at the same location that I picked up the rental. When I arrived, the location was closed for that day. Called the next closest location. They said I would have to drop it the other location. After explaining that wasnt possible and I akready arranged to drop it off at the original location, at the time I was there, they told me to just put the keys in a drop box. Location had no drop box. I ended up putting the keys hidden on there desk(was an airport location). A week later, my credit card was billed for 2 extra days. They tried to say that the location was closed for those two days and I owed for them. After I told them that I was calling corporate Enterprise and my credit card company, they agreed to refund me. 2 days later I was refunded for the 2 days rental, except they did not refund the tax. I had to make another call. They said that they fixed it......fingers crossed.
Check out was quick but the vehicle was not cleaned well, and I had to clean and vacuum the vehicle which was the second time I had the experience at this location. After I dropped off the car (due to a bad tire), I was charged for additional time even though I returned the vehicle 24 hours early. Even though I had an email confirmation from Enterprise showing the rental dates and the total cost, the manager refused to honor the agreement and then proceeded to insult our intelligence and stated we dont understand math. This location has really fallen into a place where customer service is history. BTW, I was charged for the tire too as road side assistance. UPDATE: This has been escalated to regional office who has confirmed the email confirmation I had from Enterprise was corrected.
I’ve had to rent multiple times this summer for personal reasons and there’s only been one person to really give that extra special customer service, thanks to Carol I had a great time with my 2 week rental back in June. Recently, a reservation had to be made through USAA ( I was hit by a member) and they as in enterprise on 17K in Newburgh had the audacity to give me a filthy car. Because I’ve already been mis treated and annoyed with the insurance company, I decided not to bring the car pack and give them a “hard time.” But returning the car, a gentleman was rushing me out. I didn’t even get the chance to explain to him my experience. As he walked away with the keys, I kindly mentioned the fur in the back seat ( which I didn’t see until the 3rd day because I decided I wanted to put groceries there instead of the trunk) and mentioned how badly the car smelled . I should’ve questioned why ALL 4 windows were down when I first picked up the vehicle. I hope I won’t be needing their services any time soon. Do better.
This location was understaffed for how busy they seem to be. The car they gave me may not have been detailed before handing it off to me, but it was clean enough that I didn’t care. However, the windshield washer fluid was empty, which I didn’t discover until I was on the highway in a snowstorm. They also didn’t give me an ice scraper or snow brush, leaving me to improvise.
These people are absolutely amazing. They are helpful and courteous. Tyler Wilcha the manager and Bryce Clemens his assistant where so amazing. They got us in even though it was closing time. They stayed late helping us out and telling us about the truck. I truly appreciate them and will definitely be booking with them in July for my vacation. Thanks guys your amazing!!!!!
Ive rented a car from this location twice, both times were amazing and everyone was so friendly and helpful. when I picked up the rental I believe Ray or Roy(dont remember his name) helped me. I just returned the car after a 3 week rental, they even refunded me for the cost of a uber to get back home. I already have a reservation set for my vacation in may. I would recommend making a reservation as the first car I rented was a minivan because thats all they had, but I was able to return that and switch to a new car so was super happy with that. Had a great experience both times Ive been there.
Not happy with this Enterprise at all. They gave me a dirty vehicle with an inoperable seatbelt and had the nerve to tell me that they don’t check for serviceability of the seatbelts. I understand that that isn’t part of the functionality of the vehicle however seatbelts are important and you can be summonsed for not wearing them never mind getting into an accident and getting badly hurt because you didn’t realize the seatbelt wasn’t working until you picked up everyone out of town and it’s a two hour ride to go back and swap the car with one that has serviceable seatbelts. Then one of the employees there was very condescending and not cordial at all. I walked in and he looked at me, no greeting, no how can I help you, he just looked at me until I told him I had a reservation then he asked for my information and looked it up. I called a day in advance and asked if I could leave my personal car in their lot since I had no one to pick me up or drop me off and was told I could since it was only a one day rental however when I got there the same condescending employee told me I could not leave my car there when I asked where I should leave it. When I told him that I called the day prior and was told I could he said okay then you can. Horrible. I needed a rental to replace my vehicle while it was being worked on and the insurance said they use that Enterprise, I informed them that I will not take another vehicle from that rental company so I’m getting my rental from Hertz. No thanks Enterprise on Newburgh in 17K.
I understand that during the pandemic we need to make sacrifices and go with the changes that each company has to make, however I was called the day before to notify me of change of pick up location. Ok, I can deal with that but will they have the vehicle I requested? They had one vehicle at the new location and all surrounding Enterprise Rent-A-Car locations were closed to get other options. I dont feel I was being too picky but the vehicles they had to offer were so uncomfortable for a long drive and with the COVID cleaning requirements, the vehicle was not up to par. Just my opinion. I will be going to BUDGET next time.
They started off giving me a horrible smelling car. It smelled like smoke and I had to return it because I couldn’t bare it and my eyes were burning. They fixed that problem with no questions and didn’t even explain why the car smelled so bad, did not seem surprised when I told them, and did not offer apologies. All of this wasn’t even worth my time putting in this review. What really upset me is that they charged me an extra 500, and told me it was extra insurance I signed off on. When I tried to dispute it, they were not understanding at all and continued to repeat the same line over and over again to me. They eventually hung up on me and immediately charged my credit card 500, and then another 100 after that. No explanation for the 100. I have never ever written a review before. I’m not the type of person to complain. But this was horrible horrible customer service and business practice and I felt my story should be told for future customers to be aware.
I had a very poor experience at this location. It was my birthday weekend and I had a reservation for a compact car and saw the BMW and wanted to rent it for $100.00 for the day. The manager Justin stated he did not want and will not rent the vehicle to me for that price and instead will only rent to me for $149.99, even though the BMW sat on his lot for more than a week getting no revenue or very little. When asked for my employer and stated it, I was asked by the other rep helping another customer to provide verification of where I worked. What???? What does that have to do with being a retail renter. I expressed I am a customer and felt I am being harassed (and being discriminated against). In either case, Billy MIT had compassion for me and turned my poor rental experience around and offered me a Chrysler 300 for the same price as a compact. This did make me smile and I appreciated the effort. In my opinion, the manager need an attitude adjustment and business training, $100 per day rental vs $47 per day. Bad management decision. I miss Alex the previous manager, he was the best he focused on the customer experience...the new management at this location really needs help on how to treat people.
I never write a review on any business but I felt the need to this time. Honestly, if you need to rent a car from anyone DON’T do it here especially if it’s through insurance (you’ll end up paying them) even when you ask for a car that’s fully covered through your insurance & also getting blamed for prior damage on a car that was shown to you pick up day. I would rather walk 1,000 miles barefoot through hot stones then have to deal with this company again.
Very pleased with my recent experience with Enterprise. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful for both pick-up and drop-off. I was esp impressed with how well they prioritized providing the drop-off service for my mother and me; We were in a rush to catch a train, which the staff wasnt even aware of, but they were so prompt it was as if they sensed our urgency.The vehicle was exactly what I requested on-line. Will definitely rent from Enterprise again.
Not a great customer experience. Reserved a vehicle to commute to a business meeting with my Supervisor and colleague. I showed up early and was told I could complete the contract but the vehicle was not ready. I asked if I could get a phone call when it was ready and I would come back. About an hour later I got a call to say the vehicle was ready, it took me about 20 minutes to get back to the Enterprise office but when I arrived I was told the car was being cleaned and waited another 20 minutes.When the vehicle was ready an associate escorted me outside to walk around the vehicle and inspect for damage, He apologized for the wait stating that the vehicle was returned in filthy conditions and took longer to clean. As soon as he opened the rear hatch (minivan) the smell of smoke wafted out. I mentioned that the vehicle smelled of cigarette smoke, your associate responded by saying “well the previous renter probably got charged a $400 cleaning fee” .When I got in the vehicle to leave the smell was very strong so I drove around to the garage where I asked another associate if there was anything she could do about the smoke smell, she grabbed a bottle of deodorizer and sprayed the seats and carpet but that was only a temporary fix. When I arrived to pick up my Supervisor and colleague the next morning their first comment was “Boy this vehicle stinks like cigarette smoke”. At that point it was clear that I did not exceed his customer service expectations.Additionally the car was not clean there was dirt on the carpet and stains on the door panels and headliner. There was also only ¼ of a tank of fuel in the tank.When I returned the vehicle your associate asked me how my experience was and I told him what I wrote above. He explained that the fuel policy was “it comes back as it went out” as for the smell and cleanliness he was sorry. And proceeded to ask ”But as for the customer service you received, was that good?” I don’t think he got it… Customer service is not based on an associate being kind, friendly and personable. Customer service is the entire transaction and experience. Filthy vehicle that smelled of smoke delivered with a ¼ tank of fuel that the customer had to wait for 20 minutes after being called to say it was ready. Overall customer service: Poor and not once did any one of your associates offer solutions only explanations as to why it was what it was….
I typically have a great experience with this location even if actual inventory online doesn’t match inventory when you arrive. For two days online wasn’t showing any available cars. So I called and was told booking for tomorrow would be fine. After scheduling I called and online site even states pick up services available which I’ve used twice before from the same location and home address but today I called to schedule a pick up for my rental tomorrow. Manager on duty asked time and after I expressed my situation he said “oh no worries I will make sure you are picked up on time before 9am.” After he asked if I will be picked up from my home he then said due to COVID pick up radius is only 5mile within Newburgh. I explained I’ve used before and no taxi or Uber available and apologized and stated he could not. Even looked at other locations but nothing is opened before 1am in my area. Highly disappointed that information isn’t posted online and he should have never reassured me of my pick up time and then say I could not have this service to me.
Reserved a rental for a compact car yesterday. I arrived early to pick it up. Friendliest staff out of any Enterprise Ive been to. (Ive been to a ton)After we told them the situation we were in and why we were renting a car, they gave us a monster upgrade for free to a brand new Ford Taurus. Highly recommend this location!
I like Enterprise but I love this particular branch. The guys that work there are awesome. Not only are they extremely nice but the are always on top of their game. The service is top notch and I have never had a problem there. Every time I go, I am impressed by how efficiency they work and how well they get along with all their customers. 5 Starts X100
The worst experience, I provided document and I was still left without a car. Female representative even questioned me about my utility bill wondering if I going to pay it. Bill is not due in tll May 29. With convid-19 they made me walk to my destination there were no cab service around a hour walk. I wouldnt wish this to anybody. I rent for there since 2015 and this how I get treated in a time like this.
My total experience with Enterprise staff in Newburgh, NY was good. The pickup and drop off service is a wonderful idea. For the most part when offering that kind of service to customers sometimes it could be a little bit of a hardship for customers if that particular location does not have the staff available. I was picked up on time in the time to be dropped off at my request within a couple returning the vehicle at a different location I did not have to wait at all. There was one issue that could have gone badly when I was attempting to upgrade to another size vehicle. I called in that week prior before the day that I needed the upgrade to arrange for a vehicle and was assured that there would be no problem. It was a Sunday morning and when I arrived in Newburgh the manager on duty told me that he did not have a vehicle available at that moment. When I inquired when he would have one he told me that one might be available in a couple of hours in that day which did delay my plans. Understandable, I waited for a couple of hours which we then talked about price for the upgrade he told me it could be 150.00 for that day and the reason for such a price is because it was Sunday and there was a greater demand for vehicles. I did protest and I did receive a normal upgrade price and the issue was mutually resolved. All in all, my experience with Enterprise was good. I would recommend then to others and I would certainly rent from them again.
The price was good for my transport needs. But, the cargo vans windshield was very riddled with bug residue that took some work to clear (I had to buy and add windshield washer fluid) the inside needed cleaning, and before I got half way to my destination, the change oil light came on, and continued to do so, for the rest of my trip. The van clearly needed servicing before I left Newburgh. Enterprise is good rental company that Ive used in the past, and will continue to rent from them.
Weekend of 10/11 to 10/14 --- service received at the branch on Route 17k Newburgh was A1, however I cannot say the same for the Enterprise location in Vails Gate/New Windsor where they refused to honor a confirmed reservation at the discounted weekend rate for which the car was reserved.I must admit, however, that the corporate office addressed the situation by forwarding my complaint to the Area Comptroller, I believe she indicated her position was, who got me into a car the following weekend at the rate the Vails Gate/New Windsor location would not honor.I was quite satisfied and happy to receive once again the quality of customer service that I had come to expect from Enterprise. Kudos to all involved.
Reserved a rental from Enterprise at Stewart Airport. Upon arrival I observed a sign stating that that site was closed and I would have to respond to the Newburgh location about 4 miles away. When I got there the agent advised me that they did not have access to Stewarts information and I would have to do another reservation and in addition because I was not returning the car to their location it would be a additional 200 drop off fee. I contacted the corporate office and was told my only recourse was to pay the full amount and lodge a complaint to get reimbursed for the drop off fee smh.
For a recent move to North Carolina I researched many moving options and decided on a cargo van from Enterprise - Newburgh. I am very glad I did. I was able to easily reserve the van online and pick up in Newburgh. The estimate I was given was far below all other options (u-haul, budget, penske etc)..hundreds of dollars less. so, of course, i was skeptical that there would be hidden charges and fees. There were none. The price I was quoted was the price I paid. The whole process was completely hassle-free..that never happens!! The salespeople were were very friendly and helpful..and the van was great - brand new, clean and a very nice easy ride. If you have a move and need a van, I highly recommend Enterprise in Newburgh 17K.
The employees there are scam artists. I rented a car from them 3 weeks in a row and they scammed me out of my deposit every time saying there were “extra fees”. They are also very misleading they did not disclose how and if there will be any extra fees. Also the staff is very unprofessional.
I asked for a full size car I was told they have one available when I arrive sale rep charged my credit card 1300 for a small box car I did not ask for I was told after they charged my card they have no full size cars. Someone pulled up with a full size car I asked if I could receive the full size car that just came in? I was told no not until tomorrow I asked for a refund which I was told I had to wait 4 business days to receive my money back smh so I left went home call the store manager and which he told me to come back pay 345 and he will put me into a car so I can get to work. I go back to enterprise only to pull up to see the car I asked for, the one that was returned by another customer, the one I was told I couldn’t get until tomorrow be driven off the lot smh if it was my choice I wouldn’t even give them 1 star I’ll never do business with them again..
When I rented the vehicle the individual did not even look at me. The vehcile has less than a quarter tank of gas in the tank. I was promised the total would be 740, when I returned the vehicle I was charged over 1000 dollars. When I asked for an explanation I received none and was asked twice to please give them a 5 out of 5 online. I told him that i would not and did nit receive the online survey. I will never return here again.
They would have a 5 if the only person i had contact with was Darriyia. The Manager Tyler I’ve had nothing but problems with. He seems to have an attitude problem and is not an asset to The Enterprise Company! I will be bring this up with corporate. My last time I let it go and I regret not contacting corporate than! As a business owner I would recommend counseling and training for him!
The company Enterprise motto should be well pick you up * as long as its not after 6pm or on a weekend. Go elsewhere and save yourself from this corporate disaster. Stranded in a broke down car from them in the cold, no help, we had to get our own tow truck and our own ride home.
I have used Enterprise many times, I arrived in town and only had a few days to get my affairs in order. I used the 17K Newburgh location to rent from. I had only a 10 minute wait and I was quickly in and out! It was a great experience all together. I was given the option of having them gas the car at only $1.60 a gallon! I did not need it, but it was a great option, non the less. I would recommend them and will use them again.
It has been a great experience using enterprise Newburgh for two years now. The staff are pleasant, fast and helpful. The vehicles are clean and in good condition. The service is Excellent. Two times I have walked in without reservation and despite the fact that they are fully booked, I was provided with a car in less than 30 minutes. This morning I returned the car and informed Allex that I had a bus to catch, by the time I got to my car, one of the staff came running down with my receipt. That was amazing. Rented a car from them twice. staff at the location was great each time. a month later both time my card has fraudulent charges to it n i end up having to cancel my card . After calling the entire enterprise team no one can find the charge. The manager tyler does not care what happens. Doesnt even try to salvage the customer relationship. As a car renter and a travel agent no more of my business will be going to this location
At this particular location, if I could give them 10 stars thats what they would be given. The staff is always upbeat, always have a smile, and very helpful. I will definitely always be coming back there. This is my home spot for renting a car. I have been to this location for a while, but for some reason I went to Stewart Airport to pick up a car. Big mistake very impersonal they give you the keys and say go😳 I will tell anyone who is looking to rent a car, go to the 63 NY-17K, Newburgh location they ROCK👍🏾🙂
Today I was dismayed by the customer service I recieved at this branch today. I havr been a loyal customer since 2008 and never have been treated in the manner I was today. I will note this the second time I was spoken to like some trash on the street by the same male employee. Insurance was covering my rental and I was told not once but twice that my deposit was $50.00 and asked if I could pay by money order because I didnt want to use my debit card I was told yes my the woman who I spoke to and confirmed my reservation on Friday. Well today there was a different tune when I went into the branch. I told the gentleman that I had a money order for the deposit and he started talking very disrespectful and refused my method of payment. Mind you I have used a money order before and he said he needed to see a copy of my cable bill, utility bill and it needed to be $600 money order to cover the cost of gas and insurance . What a scammer stealing from customers. At that point I asked the kind young lady to take me back to the repair shop and let me pick up my car. He had a nerve to say I can call you a cab I said no. I have never been treated or spoken to like this until I went into this branch. I am not happy. He cannot continue to speak to customers in a disrespectful manner its not professional. I pray he is not the manager.
Yes, I would like to express that I am and always have been a valued customer of yours. I would like to continue to be a valued customer, however.The customer service is always great, but this time I felt very pressured by your agent to sell me auto insurance, even after I told him that my Insurance company told me that I would be fully covered. I was advised not to purchase extra coverage no matter where I am, unless I am outside of the US.Also, I took a picture of the tags on the vehicle I was driving after being pulled over by the Neuberg police. The tags were expired as of May 2017.So I as requesting a refund or compensation for my rental car due to the unfortunate hassle I had to encounter.Thanks YouMs Powell
The staff at this location are amazing! They are candid, effecient, and helpful! I rent xars with them all the time. Their professionalism is unmatched, even on the busiest days! Did i mention, the staff is awesome? Check them out if you are in need of car rental services.
I decided to rent a car from enterprise since in the past I’ve had good experience with them and never had any issues with renting vehicles.I decided to go on line and reserve a vehicle from Friday Evening 5:30pm to Sunday evening 5:00pm. I was quoted online one fee and charged 3x more then what I was quoted on. They also made me leave $250 deposit and received only $50 back!!! They charged me $489 and some change when I was quoted half of that! I reach out to enterprise 2x asking to speak to someone in sale or even a regional manager and both times was told someone would call me and it’s now going 1 week and have yet to speak with someone thru the phone or even a email after being told someone would call me back with in 24 hrs. Talk about professional....Shame on you enterprise!!!
Sent to Enterprise by my ins co following my car mishap.Got a car quickly but it was a gas guzzler and they didn’t tell me it would cost more per day. When my rental insurance gave out I would have to pay more. When inrrturned again they replaced the gas guzzler so I was happy for that. It was quick service and professional.
I am in a rental sometimes 3 times a monthThe team on 17k in newburgh is by far the most efficient and friendly I have ever experienced.They always exceed my expectations Bryce and Duane truly understand customer service and how valuable my time is. Not a good experience. I feel like a burden walking into this location, as if they dont want customers. The first vehicle they gave me had a slow leak in the tire which of course is not their fault but it took two weeks of me harassing them to want to give me a different vehicle. I asked for a vehicle with 4x4 or AWD and they gave me a Dodge Journey and told me it was, it is not. Upon returning the vehicle I called a day in advance to be sure Id be able to get a ride back to my vehicle, I get there the next day and I have to pay for a cab after I already put extra gas in the tank because the service stops at 5pm. Why was I not told this on the phone the day before??!! I also was not reimbursed for the gas I put in the car. If you can go to a different Enterprise other than the one in Newburgh please do because the employees there are clearly incompetent of doing their job the correct way.
My experience was wonderful. The professionalism I received from Alex and Shane was outstanding! They were both very personable and extremely adept at handling several customers at once, always polite and patient. They could give lessons on customer service. Great job, Newburgh Enterprise.

Always a good experience with Enterprise. This location no different. Needed a vehicle for business related delivery. Brand new truck . Clean and reliable. St as if was knowledgeable and friendly. Would certainly use again. This location was the Newburgh , N.Y. location.
The staff was very courteous and pleasant. Unfortunately, they had no car ready for me. I had booked the reservation 4 months earlier for 2 PM and called a few days in advance of pick-up to confirm. I asked for a Sonata or Elantra if possible. I arrived about 2:30 as our plane was late. They did not have either of these cars so I said any mid-size would do. It took more than an hour for them to find a car and they apologized that it had not had an oil change and took the time to wash it. I had explained that I had an appointment to get to which seemed to make very little difference. The car, an Impala, was fine. I returned the car to Albany airport and that went very smoothly. A little more planning in Newburgh should be encouraged.
The enterprise staff was nice and courteous. However they lacked the speed and efficiency of getting people in and out in a timely manner. I was dropping off my rental and it took almost 40 minutes to get checked out. They were severely understaffed for a Saturday. They had 1 and 1/2 people. The guy behind the counter was doing it all. The guy who was doing the car handoff acted as if he needed a cheetah taped to his back to get him to move.Hopefully they will fix this problem in the future, because if this is the norm, you should allot at least an hour with them.
The employees were professional and eager to please. Enjoyable personalities; easy to converse with. The car, Ford Focus, was difficult for us older people to get in and out of because of bucket seats but we appreciated the free upgrade because of our request for an economy car which was available.
Everyone was super friendly and when we ran into a situation where we needed to extend our trip another day (it turned into a very stressful situation), Emily Cook was super helpful. I would recommend this facility to anyone in the orange county area because of the amazing job she did! Thanks again Emily!
Shady business practices. Charged my credit card hundreds of dollars 6 months after they were already paid for the rental. The manager was unable to explain the reason for the charge and said he needed to talk to the accountant. After 2 days of repetitively calling and asking for answers I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. There were also several other problems 6 months ago when I rented the car and it took weeks to resolve them. Not sure why this company still had my credit card on file and was able to charge my card without permission or explanation of why they did it.
They had a line every time i went in because only one person was working the desk and he was also answering the phones which made no sense because there were at least 4 other people in the office and 1 outside. There was a lady standing right next to him at the desk and she offered him no help. I asked for a car close to a nissan maxima and ended up with a jeep. When i told them i didnt like it or want it they told me nothing else was available smh. They were all very nice and funny at least the 3 people who spoke to me were but the wait was annoying especially when i reserved the car.
Worst rental location Ive ever been to. Be prepared to wait over an hour to get your car. On one occasion, the car they provided had garbage and beer bottle caps in the back. They didnt even inspect the interior before handing it over to me. My girlfriends car got towed from their lot yesterday because they do not drive you anywhere unless youre within a three mile radius. She had no other choice but to leave it there over night and pick it up the next day. To her surprise, it was towed to a lot all the way in Monroe. Never going back to this location again because the thought of this place disgusts me. I wish the rating had a zero because its well deserved.
Terrible experience. Car reserved was not the car I asked for. The biggest problem was I was charged 29% SALES TAX!! The going rate for that city is about 8%. I complained to the general headquarters and they said they would send me a voucher for a class upgrade on next rental. Never happened. I will not rent from Enterprise again!
So the story goes like this...I book a car, I wait forever for a car ive booked to show up. To have it have a hole in it, to have to go back and get another car. Worse day ever.The best part is they put me In a 2019 Chevy Equinox [I think I got it right] OMFG, if you can buy the car do so.I drive to IN, bout 800 mi. One way and back to NY. I spend about 160 buck for fuel/food, all round.So needless to say....The enterprise GURLS, AND RAY are the best- they do there absolute best to make it work for you and keep you smiling.As for TYLER - if he helps you, you make be upset, he tends to be snobbish. And he didnt even talk with about anything he swiped my card, and tryed to hand me keys.But I will say if you see him on the streets he rude there too.So if you visit enterprise ask for o e of the Girls or Ray. They are the best.
Good service and all but you guys neep to pay more attention to maintain the cars on my last rental i got a 2016 nissan versa . on my trip the windshield wher dirty when it was raining the windshield got supper foggy and ther was also no windshield fluid. The other day i rented a nother car which had a defective brake light.had to pay to get it change to prevent geting stop by the police .
Thank you Enterprise!Going back to college can be a tedious chore; especially, when I have to travel 3 to 4 hours. My daughters junior year in college; youd think shed learn to pack lightly. Well enterprise to the rescue! Enterprise presented me with a vehicle that was perfect in size and comfortable. My daughters bulky bundles fit perfectly. Dont ever use this office. The worst customer experience I have ever had. Justin, while bragging that he had trained all the associates in Beacon, Wappingers, and Poughkeepsie, made it impossible for this regular Enterprise customer to rent a car, instead making strangely confrontational comments, and finally threatening to call the police on me because I suggested that I might call Enterprise to work out the problem. As I, bewildered, gathered up my belongings to leave, he told me that I was not welcome back to his office. Ever. I have had only positive experiences in the other local offices. I certainly wont be coming back to the Newburgh site as long as King Justin is allowed to wield his erratic power here. I notice from these reviews this is not the first time Justin has had trouble with female customers. If youre actually interested in renting a car rather than getting in a pointless power struggle today, go elsewhere.
Don’t rent a car from here if your going through insurance they do not give you real breakdown of what things really cost so you end up owing them at the end and By the time they overcharge you and you get the final bill it’s too late and won’t do anything to help. Called corporate and was told regional manager would reach out and they never did
If I could I would leave 0 stars. The manager was very rude and even cussed at my over the phone. I def will not be returning to this location, due to this individual and how i was treated. Never had a bad experience with enterprise before, besides at this location. everyone else seemed very respectful. The Manager is showing a very poor example for other working there.
They are friendly, efficient, and ready to assist you with a rental. Sometimes they can be rough around the edges but thats because most of the time we are. Tyler Wilcha is a very straight on down to the bottom of it manager and he (almost) WILL make sure you can get a rental ..
I reserved a car at national Stewart airport, a letter at the front desk said to pick up car at enterprise on RT 17K drove there, guys at the counter were Very Nasty, like if i ask them for a favor, started with an argument that they are not National, after making me wait for a full hour i had left with no time to inspect the vehicle, was rented for 24 Hours, they made me pay $2400 for damages didnt do, so please all who care of there time & Money, just Stay away from this location.
I rented a car for nine days, when I asked why I didnt get the weekly rate for the last two days I was literally laughed at and told because a week is seven days Sir. I told them what my budget was per day and it was never explained that the last two days would be at a different rate exceeding my budget.

Car had heavy smoke smell ( even though smoking is not allowed..because this was not acceptable we had to wait 45 minutes longer to get a car.when we went to return the car one manger and 3 other folks sitting at desk....one lady on the phone at the reception desk..kept taking calls no one else busy. we waited and waited and waited to return the car...took over one house with 3 folks sitting doing nothing and one person more interested in talk on the phone rather than allowing us to return the car
Tyler Wilcha is the worst human being by far. Rude to a old 80 year old man. Only told him to bring a utility bill showing he lives at that apartment and would not take the information because it was a past due bill. Should had said it on the phone, instead humiliated the old man and left him stranded in-front of enterprise laughing at him.
Pretty terrible company. Cost me a full day of school and work because they couldnt give me the right information over the phone. Very unprofessional when I got there. Told to me come in and pick up my rental and when I got there told me I could come back in two days to pick it up.

2022-06-15I rented a Nissan Maxima from Enterprise. There were no issues; it was a very pleasant experience. When I returned the car they gave me a ride home (saving me the money for a cab). I would rent a car from Enterprise again.

2022-05-16Looking to book a car on a Saturday at Stewart Airport and your office is closed at noon on a Saturday. My flight comes in at 5 and there is no way to have a car ready for me.. I find this crazy! I was told to sit at airports till Sunday. Very bad customer service

2022-01-13Awesome experience. I was in desperate need of a rental. My car broke down and I needed to be at work by 3 in the afternoon. And they were able to get me a car in time for me to be at work 3:00. Im in the private duty nursing field and it was urgent matter that I got to work. The car is excellent. I highly recommend

2021-12-16The rental process was smooth, but when dropping off the vehicle- I forgot 50$ worth of cigars in the center console. I rented the car because our current car had a bent rim, so I definitely have other things on my mind. Would of been nice if when I returned an hour and a half to be able to retrieve my items left in the car. Instead, my items were thrown out. Highly unprofessional considering a simple phone call could of been made to the 2 numbers you have on file.I do not recommend anyone to use this company. They obviously dont value their customers and their personal belongings. Im also sure my cigars that were in packages werent just thrown out.

2020-05-11Scam Alert. When you taking and dropping car at this location afterhours take video everytime. Otherwise they will try to scam you with false damage. Tyler Wilcha closed contract without damage and with 200 extra miles. You can see on pics. Starting mileage 29836, returning (screenshot from returning video) 29920. Next day I recieved message from damage recovery unit that car have been damaged. No details about damage. Called place for visual inspection and got refused. They said car in different place. They refused to provide with surveillance video, no pics and nobody call me about this damages. Because it werent exist. So be aware they trying to scam your insurance or just using car while its under your name. Its a crime.

2022-01-22Enterprise is my car rental of choice, and having used them a lot, when theyre good theyre great - which makes when theyre not good feel pretty bad.+On a good day, you can have a smooth and quick transaction-On a busy day, you can stand and wait up to half an hour before even being acknowledged, even with an appointment+Sometimes the cars are so sweet, like within a year old and *fancy*-I needed a rental done through insurance recently, and I could almost swear they purposely rigged it to be 5x the gas guzzler it was supposed to be (although I dont have high hopes for Kias but still I was more than miffed at how often I was filling up a 4-door sedan).All in all I gave the 4/5 stars because theyve been better more often than not. A long time ago they argued with me even though I had ordered a car online in advance. They asked me for a utility bill, I showed them my electric bill. They said we cant accept it, it has a balance. So I paid it on the spot and said, now what. Haha.

2021-12-16I cant say enough about the staff at the Newburgh, NY location! The day before Thanksgiving, my passenger and I were stranded and needed a one-way rental to drive 12 hours back home. Danielle made it happen for us, and because of her, we made it back to our families for Thanksgiving. Thank you so much!
