I came to Albany from Columbus, OH to pick up a car I purchased. The greyhound dropped me off about 20 minutes away from my desired destination. I was shocked to leant that uber and lyft did not operate in the area I was in. I called multiple taxi services who gave me ridiculously high. The manager/phone operator at Express Transportation ALBANY NY Taxi Cab Branch was very kind and personable. He was able to offer me the absolute best price in a very timely manner. The driver was also very nice and polite. The next time you need a taxi in Albany be sure to contact them, they have the best service in town. Thats coming from an unbiased out-of-towner.
Dont see how these idiots have a 4.6 rating! Made a reservation with them Nov 19th to be picked up and taken to the airport and not one person showed up. I called and called and no answer. Thats pathetic. I ended having to pay 200 dollars for another ticket later that day. I usually give second chances but the fact that I couldnt even reach anybody makes me not recommend this company to anyone. Dont set yourself up for complete failure!!!
Taxi was before time, friendly driver. Taxi was clean and smelled nice. When I contacted online, I received a call within 1 hour. Fixed rate. Overall, excellent experience.
When I called the number the person Im assuming was the driver had me text him the address and pick up time. I received zero confirmation from that point and the cab driver was a no show. I would rate zero stars if possible. Looking forward to Uber here in New Yorks State.
Horrible they dont answer their phone they never showed up even after they texted me and confirmed that they were coming and now im late to work cuz I dont have a car and had to scrabble to find another taxi to bring me to work would not recommend them to anyone
All of the five star ratings are fake. Absolutely the worst taxi service I have ever had. Felt extremely unsafe in the car, took twice as much time as it should have and they overcharged me. This service is a scam.
For the any person look for excellent transportation go for it . excellent mean nice clean car,nice drivers with much knowledge and nice personality.only problem dispatcher put me in wait for 2 minutes and give service.what i can say thank you for your services .
Atrocious. Confirmed via e-mail but taxi didnt show up at time promised. I e-mailed Muhammad and he never responded. We ended up driving ourselves to airport and nearly missed our flight. Avoid at all costs.
During a business trip in Albany, NY I called ETLLC twice and both times no one showed up at the times and location I specified. This was very unprofessional of them. Im very unsatisfied. I called Marty G, explained the problem and they got to me in under 10 minutes, the driver Devin, was very friendly and helpful. I will never use ETLLC again in my life!
Amazing customer service! We needed short notice assistance and then needed them to go even one step further to help us. Expectations were exceeded. Wonderful staff and highly recommended for anyone in need pickup
The best service ever I call the taxi and the cab show up in less than 10 minutes , and.the never happened to me before I usually wait 20 to 40 minutes just to get a taxi in where im at , the best service I recommend it to all my friends .
The worst, I booked second day morning 7:30 to a meeting. Taxi no show. Called many times from 7:25 to 7:35. no one answer the phone. I then called another taxi company and finally - late for the meeting, so embarrassing.
Gave me different price than quoted on phone once i was 1/4 way to destination. They have a sign in taxi explaining rates with all the zones and the math just didnt add up. Guy tried to back track like Oh, um ok ok what you want to pay. No thanks...
This Express Transportation is not reliable.Please do not be mis-lead their 4.5 star rating and do not use this Express Transportation.I made a reservation 5 AM morning to catch 6 AM Amtrak Train on Nov 9, 2016.Even though I got a double confirmation, the taxi did not show up.I missed the Amtrak train and connecting international air plane.
My phone fell out of my pocket in an Airport Taxi cab on the way to the airport. I didnt realize this until I was on my flight headed to LaGuardia. I called Airport Taxi as soon as possible, and spoke to a woman named Sandy (Sandra?), I believe. She told me the driver turned the phone into their office, and they had it there. Sandy was very kind and patient with me on the phone, took down my information, and assured me the phone would be shipped as soon as possible. My phone arrived quickly to my home, two days later. I cant thank her enough. She saved the day!

Im new to the Albany area. I have no car of my own. Express Transportation is very reliable and fast unlike many of the other cab companies.
I was running late for work & the regular fare is 28. They took me to work for $20 which is all the cash I had. Im so greatful. Awesome company!
Not sure how they are rated 4+ stars, but my experience with them is definitely not even 1 star. This taxi service will not honor their booking. Was stranded at the train station at 1:30am after I had called the day before to book. Never again.
Good service, I got picked up Saturday night and since then I keep calling them , other taxi say 40 min express they always say 10 min.

2022-05-31Although I did not end up going with this company the man I spoke to was absolutely wonderful. Fully accommodating, and explained things to me without any angst or irritation. I felt absolutely comfortable asking all my questions and asking for quotes. The pricing was absolutely fair, I just didn’t end up going with them at the end. Would absolutely recommend to everyone needing a taxi service.

2021-09-07It’s impossible to get a regular cab in Albany. They are all rude. This man was just unprofessional like all the other sole proprietor cab services here. These cab services are for crackheads who have no real place to go and no specific destination time. Yeah I said what I said. Don’t tell me what you doing like I’m your friend and you can get me when you feel like it lol never using a regular cab service again. If your reading this and live in Albany save yourself the headache, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

2016-12-18Wow if I can give this place a half a star, I would. We called about more than over 2 hours in advance to assure that we did our due diligence to let them know we needed at cab at a certain time and also let them know ahead of time. At first they agreed to a certain price, and we thought we were good. Half an hour before they were suppose to show up they call us back and state that they have to raise the price. We thought that this was weird but we agreed because we had already told them to come. We also expected the cab to be close so for us to cancel would be inconsiderate.Time comes for the cab to be here, its not here. We waited a little longer, still no cab. We contacted the cab company and they kept telling us 2 more mintues. We contacted them about three times and got the same story, 3 separate times. They werent even apologetic. Very unprofessional of a cab company. Now we have to take our own cars to the event.

2016-10-20I was drunk saturday night and luckily I found a taxi that I flagged down on Broadway. It took me home within a reasonable time with no issues. The pricing was really reasonable as well. I had to come on here as soon as I could because this taxi service was the best I have ever used, and Ive used a lot in my time. I will Definitely be using them again and recommend it to anyone who needs a taxi. The drivers were nice, taxis were clean and the prices were great!!

2018-05-08I called for a cab to the Albany airport from near the U of Albany. I requested a pick up at 11:30AM and they booked it. At 11:40, no cab; I called and they said the driver was 3 minutes away. At noon, still no cab. Repeated calls to Express Transportation went to their voice mail. They were to call me on my mobile when the cab arrived. Im sitting in the airport now at 12:51 and still no cab. The plane was scheduled to depart for Detroit at 1:03. I bummed a ride with another guest at the motel who had a car. I would advise against using this company. I have no idea how they managed to get a high rating on Google unless they flooded the reviews with their people. Google should check the IP addresses of the reviews and cull the repeaters.I now see the claim from company management that the driver was at the pick up location and called many times. I doubt that this is true as my phone showed no record of missed calls.

2017-04-08Called the night before needing an AM ride to VERIFY they could pick me up around 8am. I was re-assured to call my ride in around 730am and booking it the night before was not necessary. 730am I call- get a voicemail. Call again-voicemail. Finally I leave a voicemail myself with my phone number to call back. No one ever called me back. NOT RELIABLE.

2016-05-26I use taxi frequently in Albany NY (unfortunately, there is no UBER at the place). I am used to terrible service. However, I had a pleasant surprise using this companys taxi. The driver was prompt at my address. The car was new and clean and the driver very polite. Highly recommended.

2017-05-11Arrived on time, very accommodating, as always. Were repeat customers. This afternoon, 5/11/17, they provided a minivan taxi to help my 19yo son, who is an RPI student, move his dorm room belongings to a local storage unit (same as last year, only this year he has more stuff). Weve also used them in the past for trips to the airport. Im always anxious about this sort of thing because my son is better at physics than logistics, and Im 700 miles away. If you try to choose any taxi service in the Albany area based on Google reviews, youll quickly see that many of the reviews seem bogus. Speaking for the five or so times weve used this service, they were punctual, helpful, fair, and honest, and well stick with them.

2017-03-11The best taxi service Ive experienced so far. Taxi driver arrived 5 ahead of schedule, was very professional and helped me with my luggage which no other driver has. I will use them for all my business needs. Thanks express for being above the rest
