I was very disappointed with this company. The work done, was fine, but after receiving the final bill, it doubled from the estimate. When I received the estimate the original estimate showed work billed at $38/hour. It listed materials in general terms. The final bill came in at $70/hour. We were charge 1.5 hours of work to install a refrigerator gasket which took 10 minutes. I paid the bill and inserted questions and confusions from the estimate to the final bill, and as of today have never heard from the company. I would have easily recommended this company to family and friends, but because of poor communication and unprofessional business practices I felt the need to air my concerns and warn others if they were considering hiring this company.
What a company that’s all I can say their attention to detail and pride in the work they do is truly amazing. Our kitchen, and stairs came out beyond our expectations. From start to finish we felt as though it was not just another job rather like a family. I can’t say enough about Brian, he treated our house as if it was his own and was always there to answer a question no matter the time or day, when he said he would be there he was what he said he would do he did. Jeff and Bill were absolutely amazing... kept it clean, on time and our kitchen is now something out of a magazine rather than its dingy dated old self. Our door and screen door came out so perfect Al is a metal trim wizard you have to see his work to believe it. Our new basement came out great as well. F&D outdid themselves on this one these guys are highly recommend. We already have plans to have them back in the near future
The company was very helpful and informative. They showed up on time and gave an honest opinion. Garrett was not pushy and I never felt pressured to chose their company. The work they completed was done beyond my expectations and people still comment on how well the replacement siding matches the original. I could not be more pleased. I would recommend F and D and I would use them again.
Thank you everyone at F&D! We could not be happier with our master bath remodel. These guys were top notch. The attention to detail was fantastic by Jeff and Bill. They were prompt every single day for 3 weeks, they told us day by day what was going to happen the following day. The process they have in place from the initial office call, to the estimate, to the selection process , to the work. Kudos to being in business since 1979!!!!
We had our entire bathroom remodeled, as well as other assorted projects completed by F&D. Through working with the Salesman, getting all the materials and actual project work completed, it was such a professional experience. Garrett, Jeff and Bill made everything so stress free.
Used F & D for a commercial remodeling project. Brian did a great job communicating and suggesting plans etc. Jeff and Bill did excellent work from building walls to making countertops from scratch. I would highly recommend and definitely will be using again in the future.
We had the pleasure of having F&D construction do the backsplash in our kitchen and the.enclosure and tiling for our fireplace and could not be happier. From the sales force and the techs who are on the job nothing but professional, personal and extremely open to thoughts and communication. I called more than once to set an appointment for someone to come out to my house and give me a quote. Both times I was assured I would receive a call back from someone within a few days to schedule a day and time. I never received a call back. I worked in the construction business for years and that is not how you handle potential customers, or anyone in general. Extremely unprofessional I would never ever recommend them to anyone. I contacted another company and they came out two days later.
What a pleasant experience I had with F&D. They were professional, courteous and honest the whole way through. Now I can see why they have been in business so long. Thank you to everyone that was involved in my project. If you are looking for a top notch company F&D is your answer.
I recieved an email response about an hour after requesting a quote online. I sent a picture of what I needed done and had an invoice from F & D an hour later. They even squeezed me in earlier than originally anticipated. Jeff was polite, professional, and very reasonably priced. I will 100% be using them again. Thank you so much! 😀
Very unhappy with our new bathroom. They gutted the entire bathroom. Didnt use spacers for the tile so grout lines were noticeably uneven, built in shelf they made was crooked, didnt caulk all necessary spot around new tub surround, shoved a piece of wood under the new toilet to make it level and didnt tell us. When we mentioned it their response even when brand new toilets are manufactured they are not perfect as far as being level. Caulking was a mess, very sloppy. They painted the back of the bathroom door a fresh bright white but didnt put enough coats on it. All around very disappointing experience especially the fact that the bathroom was gutted and they basically started from scratch and still could not get it right and we paid about $12,000. Dont hire them!
They did a great job. Attention to detail was very good. Prep and clean up was tremendous They communicated when they would be on site and worked with me as I was the general and self performed mechanical and electrical. Highly recommend F& .

Had some windows replaced and Brian and his crew were awesome to work with. Would highly recommend.
They do not respond when called it spoke to someone and they said they would call me right back i have waited days and got no callback would not recommend them

The crew is professional, friendly, clean, hard-working, and very communicative. The owner is knowledgeable, innovative, and extremely responsive, along with the project manager. We’ve had nothing but positive interactions with everyone on our project, even during the most challenging of years with covid. They are meticulous with the care of their work, and think of every possible finishing touch to make their work stand apart from others. Truthfully, our project speaks for itself! We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, and we just LOVE our new space. We have F&D to thank for making our vision a reality and so much more! F&D helped us along the way with offering so many valuable suggestions we hadn’t even thought of! We would recommend F&D to ANYONE who is looking for a well-constructed project that has the best products and finishes around - at the most reasonable prices! 2022-06-07I scheduled an estimate for siding. They didnt show so I called back to follow up and they rescheduled. They came for the second appointment and told me they would mail their estimate. Its been over a month and Ive received nothing. The only reason I gave 2 stars rather than 1 is because the people I interacted with were pleasant.Update: Its been two weeks since my original review and I still have not received the estimate or any correspondence from the company despite the apology below.

2021-03-17I used F&D for a kitchen remodel after water damage. The owner (Brian) even helped me through my insurance claim. His team (Russ, Steve, George, Dave) were all on time, professional and did amazing work. I have 0 complaints. The process was pretty seamless once materials came in. I would 100% recommend them.

2020-08-27Brian had his team did an amazing job replacing windows on our home. They were amazing by the quality of the work completed, the entire staff were very professional. I will certainly be utilizing their services again. I cannot say enough about the work and service. In a world where it’s hard to trust contractors, they certainly are more than reliable. 2020-07-28F&D was hired to replace my roof, driveway, and open up my enclosed front porch (on a 1906 house in the Upper West Side of Buffalo, NY). The roof was quick and easy - they scrapped of about five layers! Going into the porch, they warned me they had no idea what we might find it once we opened it up, and while they werent the cheapest quote I received, they were certainly the most accurate. I felt fully informed through each phase from demolition to assessment to reconstruction. They brought me material samples and were clear about longevity and costs of all my options. In the end, I have a beautiful new porch that is comfortable and low/no maintenance! Their team does great work. Thank you to Daryl, Russ, Steve, and everyone else!

2020-09-25We had a complete kitchen remodel done by F&D. The owner, Brian Sustakoski is just a great guy. He is honest, super responsive and personable. The guys that did the work, Nate and Dave, were personable, very hard working, skilled, and detail-oriented. They made sure the kitchen was exactly how we wanted it. We’re so happy with our dream kitchen!!! We’ve used F&D before and can’t imagine going with anyone else in the future. If we do have more work done, Nate and Dave are the guys I’d want doing the work.

2019-08-15I spent a lot of time shopping around and getting quotes from different contractors to replace my old siding. Daryl and his F&D crew not only provided the most reasonable price, their level of craftsmanship and pride in their work speaks for itself. The F&D crew was extremely professional and went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied with their work. Even when I made changes and asked for extra work, they didnt skip a beat. This level of service and the trust I have in their crew will make sure they are always the first company I call when I need work done on my house.I have since needed a full roof repair after a wind storm and again I called F&D. They walked me through the whole process and had a new roof on the house in no time. Again, the crew was fantastic and did a great job cleaning up! Thanks again!

2019-11-21I had Garrett Faulks from F&D come out and give me a quote for a remodel in my basement. They just finished the job and I am so happy with the quality of work. They went above and beyond my requests and finished in a timely manner. Their staff was friendly and professional. If you want the job done right and superb craftsmanship then these are the guys to call!

2020-01-13I had F&D redo the flat roof above the porch on my old home (built in 1900). The old roof was starting to leak, and after removing the old roofing material, they found a few pieces of rotten wood, which they removed and replaced before finishing off the new roof. They did an excellent job of explaining the issues and the solutions to those issues. The new roofing material they used on the flat roof looks great, and I have had no issues so far. I also had them install new composite railings, which look fantastic and feel very sturdy! I was very happy with the service I received, and would recommend working with them.

2019-07-25Garrett came over and gave us an estimate, he was very professional and informative. He stayed in contact with us throughout our ordering and installation. Scott and Patrick were here for 3 days installing our kitchen countertops and backsplash. They were efficient and friendly and cleaned up every day before leaving. I would highly recommend F & D Construction!
