Father Natures in other cities:
Always love shopping here. Knowledgeable people, friendly, informative. Wide selection of items. I have also found them willing to get something if they dont have it.Pond, Lawn, Ornamentals, Fruits. Really a nice place to go and Local Small Business ..... dont hesitate to stop in. Ive always found what I needed!
Owner very knowledgeable in native species for people interested in attracting more birds and butterflies and helping the environment. A little pricey compared to home depot and lowes, but i like to support small businesses, especially family runned like this one. I thought the medium the plants were potted in was outstanding, and the plants throughout the large nursery were thriving and healthy. New and experienced gardeners alike can benefit from shopping here.
A friendly and informed staff and each spring and summer there is always a nice selection of trees, shrubs and plants that are less common than the big box store stock. Above all though the managers here seem to be able to answer any of your horticultural questions knowledgeably.
Based solely on this one experience as my other experiences have been fine. I went here the other day for a Christmas wreath, they didnt have many, so I went inside to ask if they were going to be getting more. The woman behind the counter was talking on the phone and I stood there politely waiting. She completely ignores me and went on chatting. The conversation was not an official business convo, as one may think it was. It was definitely a social call.... so I interjected and said I just wanted to ask about the wreaths, she just looked at me and gave me a dismissive look. Then she told her caller, I have a customer I have to go ( 5 minutes after I had been standing in front of her.) I spoke to her... she explained... I then proceeded in the greenhouse and saw a lily plant. I asked her how much the Calalily was, there were only 2 lily plants mind you, both the same. She responded by saying, we dont have any calalilys... I said well idk its some kinda lily She then said oh yeah thats a peace Lily without looking in the greenhouse, bc she knew what I meant the whole time. I asked again if she thought theyd be getting more wreaths soon. She finally said we have more in the back if you want to come back later. I have someone coming in to decorate them I was told by her. I said ok, great, what time would be best to come back? She said, I dont know some time later... once again same tone, very dismissive manner. I then left and drove to my local home depot and bought my wreath and several other plants. I plan on never going back to Father Nature ever again. This woman was middle aged, maybe an owners wife, idk...She should know how to conduct herself. I was a loyal customer for at least 20 years.
Today I needed 10 strips of sod to fill in. I call 15 gardens center before spleaking to Father Natures. Every other nursury said they were out of it for the season, but when the young lady (sorry I forgot to get your name) answered, she said they didnt have any but she could send me to the sod farm. I couldnt believe it.... nobody else, other than Father Natures went out of their way. Thank you so so much!!!
My go-to place for any special and hearty plants that I need. I dont bother with those super stores where they sell dying vegetation (I feel like I am rescuing them) that is not properly cared for. I have been shopping at Father Natures for more than 30 years and have had trees and flowering shrubs for that long that I purchased there. If there is a problem with any of my plants whether I bought them from there or not, they always help me. They may be higher in their prices, but you get what you pay for, and, believe me, I know it.So, if you are trying to save a buck, go to those super-stores and get something and cross your fingers that it will grow. Or, go to Father Natures and get those special plants and veggies that come with a one-year (or season) guarantee!

2022-08-01I recently moved to the area and have had a hard time finding local businesses that sell more obscure tropical house plants. I have around 65 different varieties at home already and am always looking for more. Father Natures has a nice selection of philodendrons, hoyas, succulents, pothos, begonias and more.. I look forward to seeing how the stock changes and getting more. I got a string of turtles and a philodendron brandtianum and both are doing well in quarantine with no issues so far. Very pleased!!

2021-10-17What a lovely selection! Fantastic service! Some of the pumpkins are haunted with pirate ghosts, but thats normal for this time of year! Make a new friend!

2022-05-28Always a beautiful selection! I actually went out East one day for plants. And the selection and quality here blew the farms there away.

2019-06-07Very pleasant nursery. A little more pricey compared to somewhere like Home Depot, but you get a much larger selection to choose from (and the plants are actually taken care of and disease free... take notes Home Depot and Lowe’s!). I will be returning throughout the season for more.
