Finger Lakes House in other cities:
First time here and nothing but good things to say. Nice place with super friendly people (interacted with both serving and kitchen staff - both made us feel welcome and showed they cared about our experience there). Awesome beer selection (regional choices, and something for everyone) and amazing food. Its not a huge menu, but lots of great options... plus, I find places with smaller menus tend to be able to put in above par effort with every single menu items... Finger Lakes House does just that. Pretzel, Burrito Bowl, and Panini were all exceptional and fresh. The building/restaurant/outdoor deck are beautiful and everything was so clean. You can tell they pay attention to details in all aspects. Highly recommend!
I actually drove into HELLmira to eat there twice. That should tell you something. They have a really solid selection of beer and wine. Which are just a tad pricey. But I totally understand. When you are surrounded by HELLmira Riff Raff you have to make sure you price them out of your building. Food selection is limited, yet amazingly delicious. Staff was friendly and chatty. Totally worth checking it out.
This has to be one of my favorite spots in Elmira. Great selection of beers and wines. The beers are constantly being rotated, so there has always been something new to try every time I have visited. The staff is always friendly and very helpful, and the owner is amazing and funny, dont let him talk your ear off. The updated patio is a very nice touch as well.
Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere! A beer for every pallet, and you can get them to go! Have tried a couple of their, appetizers, and they were wonderful! I would recommend this place to anyone that enjoys a good beer, wine, or cider that wants to avoid a bar like atmosphere.
Decent selection of local beers and wines, best in Elmira area for this. Freshly remodeled building with a rustic look. This is the highest weve paid for a flight of only 4 beers ($11) and a pint is $8., or more. Maybe it is to keep our the riff raff? Also try Careys Brew House in Corning as they offer a larger selection and more food options as well and the cost is slightly less on average. Dont get me wrong though, well be back to this Finger Lakes House for a pint.
If your looking for cheap drinks and lots of TVs, this is not the place for you. If you looking for quality locally crafted drinks a d gret company, good food and just a fun atmosphere. Or maybe you need a location with a private confence room, or an outside dect to enjoy the river, now this is the place for you.

2022-03-18This is a great spot for beer and wine from the finger lakes region, however, the food has gone down in quality since they first opened. The ingredients for some of my favorite dishes have changed - the beef on the beef fajita flatbread was tough and gray rather than juicy and tender like it used to be. The corn dip and spinach and artichoke dips are mostly creamy cheesy dips rather than full of corn or artichoke like they used to be. I’m sure I will find other menu items I will like better but it was disappointing to see the food go from delicious to mediocre and borderline unappetizing. I will be back to enjoy the outdoor seating but will be ordering something else to eat next time. Food: 1 star, Drink selection and atmosphere: 5 stars

2022-04-23Moved to the area, the staff are very nice, let you try some beer if youre unsure. The selection of beers and wine is plentiful. If your visiting, they will always treat you like youre a friend. They have wine Wednesdays, vegan tacos & burritos on Thursdays.

2022-03-27I have frequented this restaurant several times and have always been happy with the food, drinks and service. The atmosphere is pleasant and the outdoor deck provides a good view of the river. Tonight I was there with my girlfriend and was unable to get the attention of the waitress because she was too busy talking and laughing with the female bartender. I had to walk up to the bar to get her attention at which time she gave me a bad and defensive attitude. For the remainder of our time there she was sullen and moody, not even minimally polite. Needless to say there was no tip. The management should consider upgrading of their staff. Hopefully the next time I go there I will be treated with a little more courtesy.

2022-01-09We ate here with family over the holidays as it was the only place we could find with outdoor seating. With Omicron, we did not feel safe eating inside with elderly parents. The owner was friendly and the food was amazing. Everyone was really pleased with what the ordered and the food came out quickly.

2022-05-21Great experience until a server literally chased a customer down the street and proceed to scream at them for what she felt was an inadequate tip. So unprofessional and inappropriate to see that it literally ruined the whole evening. Will not bring business there again so long as that server is employed. Absolutely appalling how she represents this business.

2019-09-11Hidden Gem in downtown Elmira! The establishment is located in a beautifully restored historic building, and the signage is pretty subtle, so youll need to keep your eyes peeled to spot it! Great place to bring guests who enjoy sampling local beers, wines, and ciders. Small menu, but very well prepared and presented foods. The FLXHouse also provides an outdoor deck with seating that overlooks the Chemung River. Excellent service, knowledgeable staff, and friendly patrons. They are a little pricey, but I think that helps keep the riff-raff out!

2019-10-28Ive been working with Finger Lakes House by hosting their weekly Tacos & Trivia event on Tuesdays for over a year now. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them! Great atmosphere, even better people! The food is also awesome and they have a huge variety of beer and wine from the Finger Lakes area. Looking forward to our continued relationship into the future!

2018-04-21We visited for lunchtime eats. The service was fantastic. The food looks pretty and is just as tasty. You gotta have the potachos. The outdoor area will be really nice when it warms up. The beer selection is all NY, and quite varied. I love the focus on NY beers, wines, and cheeses.

2021-07-10Small pub/eatery. LOVED it. Ten of us stopped here after funeral services. Had no reservations. Was a Fri afternoon. We sat outside w/great view of the river. Food was great, and they had a terrific selection of beers, wine, etc. Thanks to the staff for accommodating us on short notice. It was a nice ending to an otherwise solemn day.
