Great place, great menu... Fantastic service. We sat out in the igloos and had a great family dinner. The chicken dumplings are not to be missed. While I would not usually order the chicken pot pie, I did and it was amazing. And huge for the price. Great value. Good mixed drinks and an ample selection of draft beers made this night super fun and delicious. But the topper of the night was our waitress, Jeannine. She was attentive and very helpful in guiding my family through the menu (we have a serious nut allergy with one of my kids so we ask a lot of questions). Jeannine was fantastic. No doubt, we will going again, very soon.
We had dinner this evening at Finleys. The beer selection, both draft and bottles, was great and they gave us samples to help us make our decision. The food was delicious - tacos, chicken pot pie (great!!), French onion soup (delicious!!) and even the burgers and dinner salads were spot on. Staff was warm and welcoming. Just a great pub feel with drink and dinner offerings much more expansive than a typical pub. Finleys continues to be a regular for us; a real warm, comfortable place to eat, drink and relax....especially in these challenging times.
This place should be shut down the way they treat women me and my friends were thrown on the ground by a security guard and their are many other reviews from years ago stating how the security treat women and how they don’t know how to keep their hands to themselves and have done nothing about it just disgusting.
Went there Friday evening. First, Jenine our waitress is awesome, she treated us like we are family. My wife had the impossible burger, & I had a bacon cheese burger. Both were fantastic. The cheesecake, and the carrot cake were excellent as well. Not our first time there, we will be back for more.
Best restaurant, best food, best customer service & best ambience. Sarah our waitress was great, the food was delicious. Food came out quick & was hot & fresh. Chef Howard came out to speak to my family & I. He was wonderful. The mac & cheese spring rolls was delicious, the burgers was delicious & the fresh baked pretzels was delicious. Highly recommended & also great for kids & any age.
Staff was warm and welcoming and very willing to accommodate my seating preferences (there werent many other diners so we had choice). Food was delicious. I highly recommend the chicken dumplings with Thai chili. And the music playlist was right up my alley (classic rock but soft and in the background). Id definitely go back!
Our family has been big fans of Finleys for a long time. We go there whenever we can. This past weekend, we ordered the Super Bowl Special Package and were absolutely blown away by the delicious and abundant food we received. The sliders were delicious and sizable, boneless Buffalo wings and adobo chicken nachos really hit the spot. We couldnt finish all the food. It was am amazing deal! Thank you, Finleys for being one of Huntingtons finest!
I absolutely love this place. The food and drinks are amazing and so is the service. Jenine made our dining experience extra amazing today and I’m already looking forward to coming back (as always)! I always appreciate a place with festive decor as well! Just an all around great place to eat and hang out. Highly recomend!
My wife and I dined here on Saturday evening. We have been to Finley’s several times prior, each one being better than the one before however, Saturday night was different. Although the food (especially the Shepherd’s Pie) was fantastic, the service we received while we dined was horrible. I’m a former bartender and server so, I completely understand the demands that come with the job, especially on a Saturday evening but, the service we received was just not acceptable. Our waitress was short and abrupt. She took our orders without saying much and we barely saw her again throughout the rest of the evening. We had the same experience with this waitress the last time we ate at Finley’s (October) however, figured we’d give it a second shot by returning. Considering the unpleasant experience we had, and although the food is out of this world, I do not think we will be returning.
We sat outside in the front for lunch. They have umbrellas, but it was a little cold and we sat in the sun. They do have heaters. A delicious steak sandwich and a nice selection of beers. When we finished, we walked through the inside to see their expansive back outdoor eating area and bar which is open but mostly under awnings and a tent.
Extremely Disappointed. It used to be a good place I have not been here in 10 years - wont be going back. Food was awful. Flavorless & overpriced. The food was substandard in quality, nothing looked or tasted fresh . The Crab Cake had absolutely no flavor. The Salmon was dry & the Oysters overcooked & rubbery. The Fish & Chips both looked & tasted bad Even the fries were bad. I have had better fish at Long John Silvers. Maybe they need to change the fryer oil or lower the temperature. The only thing that wasnt awful was the service.
Have been here many times when I was younger for the bar which was always packed. But recently I was here for a party. The food exceeded my expectations but once the food ran out (buffet style) it took some time to bring out a new tray. The way they set up the tables and the buffet was a little bit of weird placement so it was very cramped while people lined up for food. There was also a low hanging light where the buffet was in which I , and many other hit their head on.
Such great service and a fun time. I went during a Halloween event they were holding. And let me tell you, it was packed and poppin. I had such an amazing time. Staff were so sweet and attentive even with how busy it was. Music was great. And the outside bar was spot on as well. Highly recommend.
Having been to New Orleans and experiencing the Big Easy this does a great job of recreating that same experience. The staff was great, the ambiance was real deal New Orleans, and the food was down home Cajun cooking. Walking in, I felt like I stepped into a restaurant right off Frenchman or Decatur Street. Very happy a place like this has popped in Huntington Village and we will definitely be bringing friends and family here in the future. Can’t wait for our next trip in!
I was there Feb. 17 for my 40th birthday. We ordered the popcorn Crawfish, the Lobster and Blue Claw ravioli and the Pulled Pork sandwich and Pecan pie for dessert. Everything was amazing! One of the best meals my husband and I have had. Thank you for making a special birthday even more special.
Went to Storyville American Table for Easter brunch with the family for the 11am seating. Everything was delicious, from the fresh prepared omelets, waffles, carving station and some delicious jambalaya too! But wait, theres more! Eggs benedict, bacon, sausages, home fries-cooked to perfection. Fresh jumbo shrimp (and I mean jumbo), mussels and Alaskan king crab on ice. There were delicious bagels, croissants, muffins and a vast selection of pastries, cookies, fresh fruit, and just so much more, I cant even list it all! With your complimentary Bloody Mary or Mimosa and unlimited coffee and/or tea, make your reservation for Sunday brunch soon. The staff, was friendly and attentive and a good time was had by all. We will be back soon for dinner and it seems they have ample outdoor dining space during the warmer months.
Had the four-play, four courses of deliciousness. Very reasonable price for the volume and quality. Didnt walk out hungry, and I can eat! Cannot complain at all; staff friendly, service very good, manager came around every table checking in as well - I like that they cared enough to do so.Will definitely return next time in the area.
Ive had the worst experience here on a Sunday brunch with my family, first time coming here and never going back. We ordered our food and waited a whole hour and half for the waitress to come and say Im sorry about your food I dont know what Happen in the kitchen so we are canceling your order... they canceled our order, had us sitting outside for more then one hour and we never got to even eat anything at all. Then they had the audacity to try and charge us for a couple juices and a soda. I will never recommend this place so upset.
My husband and I went here Wednesday night. There were people in the bar and no one in the restaurant. We walked around aimlessly for about 15 minutes looking for a sign or someone who worked there. Do we seat ourselves? Was it a private party? For 15 minutes we walked in and out and around and finally we gave up and left. Such a strange experience and we will not be returning. There should be signs or workers ready to greet customers .
I really love NOLA-style food, but unfortunately the best I can report about my recent dinner at Storyville is that it was just OK.The service was barely OK. There were only 6 tables seated and there were 2 waitresses and 1 busboy. Still, the servers attention and follow-up was barely OK. Took quite a while to greet and take drink orders. Only offered coffee refills once. Disappeared after processing the bill, and even though the other server was now down to only 2 tables, she never checked on us. Server was pleasant, but didnt seem very knowledgeable about the menu even though shed been there since they opened.Drinks were great, especially the Cucumber and Jalapeno Caipirinha.Food was sometimes great and sometimes not so good. Fried pickles were fantastic, with an amazing remoulade for dipping. Entrees were hit and miss. The Shrimp and Grits were good, as was the Shrimp Etouffee. But, the BBQ Shrimp was overdone (rubbery) and the sauce was not so good. The presentation of the Bananas Foster was really spectacular (table-side), but the taste was not nearly as impressive (just OK). Did he forget to add the vanilla? The coffee is absolutely out of this world. Really fantastic.Decor is overly plain. Granted, I wasnt expecting some kind of over-the-top display of New Orleans paraphenalia, but it was definitely not very New Orleans. Not even in a reserved way.Prices seemed quite reasonable.Best of luck. Hope it gets better.
My husband and I decided to try out Finleys Seafood for the first time. We had shrimp ceviche to start, which was fresh and delicious. I had the wasabi crusted tuna, and my husband had the red snapper, which were both very tasty. Our server, Caroline, was very friendly and attentive. We look forward to returning for another delicious meal.
Very disappointed. Went there for the Cajun menu and found it changed back in April. Both our meals were bland, lacking seasoning and freshness. Unfortunately, this had been a restaurant and bar we’ve previously enjoyed many times. Sadly, we won’t be returning......even for a drink.
Its ok google says its a cajun style restaurant but when i went there today the waitress said theyve stopped that its sad to say its just a basic tavern with nothing unique besides the many different drafts but with out real food its weak. I had thier lobster roll and it was sub par compared to a homemade tuna sandwich weve all can make. Otherwise a kindwaitress thats all theyve got going on for themselves.
As a frequent diner in Huntington, and a native Long Islander, I have had the pleasure (for the most part) of experiencing almost every eatery in this locale.Storeyville is a lively cajun spot that offers outdoor dining in warmer months. They are pros of signature dishes one would find along Bourbon Street. The shrimp and grits is excellent--flavorful, plentiful, and complex flavors very smooth execution. The fried green tomatoes seem straight from secret family recipe (a special, country taste that delights); the fish is always fresh, and Ive enjoyed their steak dishes as much as the etoufee. If youre not full-entree hungry the sandwich menu is excellent and sure to have something for even the pickiest diner. You wont be disappointed!
I’m giving 2 stars because the food and service at the time that I was there last Sunday was great. However my coat was stolen from the coat check , and the host took my number/name, and said I would be contacted by management. Fast forward it’s now Tuesday I have heard nothing. I call and speak to a Thomas , he informs me that he has heard nothing of this situation and he will review cameras and call me before Friday because he’s going on vacation. Fast forward it’s now Friday night 7pm I call AGAIN, and a new manager Jenna came to the phone also knew nothing about the situation, so I explained and she was very dry about the situation, said she can “try” to contact Thomas ,but he’s on vacation with his family. She also took my number and said she would be in touch with whether or not she could get in contact with him. It’s now Sunday , a week later. I am upset and angry because we had such a nice time here and it was not my first time but this is completely unprofessional and I will most def not return due to lack of customer service and I’m also done calling them. They will now have to speak with my lawyer.
This is the quintessential brunch place in Huntington. The food is setup in a buffet style and includes everything from Eggs Benedict, grits, and all of the staple breakfast foods. Combine that with a multitude of southern delicacies and a carving station and there is something for everyone. You also get a complimentary Mimosa or Bloody Mary to quell the previous nights hangover or start a new one.
Im gonna give it a four stars since I cant find a fair assessment this time. I went on a Sunday early evening so obviously very few people and my friend order a bottle of wine, so I cant really judge their drink. However, the staffs themselves are very friendly and it has a chill atmosphere.
As a native to Huntington, I would say that this place is the hot spot for later in the night on a Friday and/or Saturday. The thing though is that it seems to be very up and down, one weekend it will be wild, another weekend not so much..so you would just have roll the dice and hope it lands on fun, wild, or exciting for whatever weekend you choose
They have outdoor seating out front, an indooor bar area with seating, and an outdoor deck overlooking the rear patio area where we went for a late dinnner. Service was good as was the food. Be aware there is a MAJOR changeover at 11 p.m. when the younger club/slash dance crowd lines up outside and begins to pour in. Its Huntington, so that shouldnt be a surprise. The staff was exceptionally courteous when explaining that while we were welcome to remain, the character of the venue would be changing abruptly. We were leaving at that point anyway, so my comments are limited to the restaurant venue.
Hi,I was denied entry due to my ID license. Bouncer would not let me in. Im 27, actually almost 28, educate your bouncers, I will never go back. I tell everyone about my experience there. I was with two of my high school friends. They have lost our business permanently.Good Luck,
The food at American Table is amazing. The people there are great. The noise on the weekends that leaks into the neighborhoods isnt. I understand having to entertain your guests, but does it really need to be that loud? Most places have a decibel limit do they not? I mean, I live a block and a half away and it sounds like the music is right in my living room. Not to mention people screaming outside. It really draws down the mood in the neighborhood having to hear that every Friday and Saturday night. Its a beautiful area its too bad they cant be reasonable about the sound there. Im sure they have it way louder than they need to for entertaining dancers/parties, etc. I will continue to eat at the restaurant and enjoy it but the bar is just TOO loud. Its the only thing thats making me wish I didnt move into my house. I think it shows a high disregard to the neighbors in the area.TO REITERATE : THE NOISE IS COMING FROM THE BAR! FINLEYS! NOT THE RESTAURANT! I RECOMMEND THE RESTAURANT TO EVERYONE!
What a disappointment this evening was. Five of us met at a restaurant we knew. Unfortunately we didn’t know it had changed hands apparently reverting back to the original owner (according to our waitress). Starting with the menu we recognized that a major change had occurred. The menu left us wondering what kind of restaurant it had become. Certainly the menu was not diverse or balanced. When asked about the soup de jour the waitress looked confused and rather than trying to find out we were told the chef makes the soups on Fridays and therefore there “probably” wasn’t a soup de jour for today... I guess I wasn’t going to have the seafood chowder which must be 6 days old. The shrimp Alfredo featured over cooked pasta and rubbery shrimp how do you over cook something and still serve it less than hot? The risotto lacked the luxurious creamy texture one associates with well done Risotto it was served in a 4” tall column that held its form beautifully. Water glasses were ignored through the meal, a selection of breads was never served BUT!! The bread plates (unused) were collected from the table. When collecting finished dinner dishes, our waitress announced we were done. When we said we’d like to have coffee and a dessertMenu we were told there was none...desserts must be made on Friday as well as soup. A request for cappuccino? We were told the machine was broken! No wonder there was no one in the place! You can get a better meal at any diner on Long Island!!
Great outdoor bar and patio seating in the back of Finleys that unfortunately cant be seen by any point other than to go inside and through the restaurant and bar . This little hidden outdoor patio area offers intimacy with an Island tropical feel. You can hang at the bar, or sit in one of the cozy little bar tables with stools, or at a full table at the balcony level.
Remarkably disappointing. Finleys is to bars as some say big pharma is to health: it felt overly large, artificial, and soulless. The alcohol was inordinately expensive, the music was cripplingly loud, and the bar was so wide that orders could only be made through sign language or naval flags.

2021-08-29For the most part every thing was delicious. There was a item that my niece didnt care for. It just wasnt what she expected. The server came out with the chef and confronted her. She was very upset because she felt intimidated.I know the Chef was just trying to understand why she didnt like it but it ruined her evening.Other than that, the entertainment was great and the shepherds pie delicious.

2022-06-02Disgusting place, their security is so careless my friends went to this establishment and security literally handled them like rag dolls. I spoke with the bar manager and he tried to justify securities actions. One of my friends ids were expired so they told her that she could not get in but then suddenly another staff member tells her that he will let her in and it was okay. After being in the establishment for a few hours security then charges at them and picks them up by their arm bruising them and swing them into doors. This is so DISGUSTING & NOT OKAY! Do NOT go here!

2022-02-20For a place that makes you wait on line its not actually that bad inside. For now, Finleys, you have passed your first official Huntington Haters health inspection. The vibe is healthy but could use some work. Lets pick up the pieces here.

2021-08-10I went with a friend after work and we had some cocktails and dinner! We both had the coconut vodka cocktail and it was delicious! A good size too! We didnt do happy hour as we wanted to sit outside and thats at the bar only. I had the steak sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! The bread was perfectly suited, the steak was perfectly cooked and the fries hit the spot! Will definitely be back!
