Was there with a party of 7 and the service was excellent and the food was good too. I enjoyed listening to traditional Irish music. The environment is clean and comfortable. We were seeted next to the fireplace, beautiful woodwork, lighting is just right for dinning. Many windows, and plenty of fresh air. It was an experience of Irish culture, a unique treasure for Utica and Upstate N.Y.. Would love to visit again...
Decent service and atmosphere but the menu is disappointing for an Irish pub. Needs to be less American and more Irish. Ordered bangers and mash, the bangers(sausage) tasted more like a bland hotdog than sausage. Best part was the selection of alcohol on tap and in bottles. Got to try some unusual gin and whiskey.
Great staff- especially the host! He was very informative and helpful! Food was great too!! The Reuben was 😍, (corned beef was awesome), would order again! Mashed potatoes were just like I like them- homemade and a little skin in them still. Great beer list and prices too!
Stopped after seeing a Christmas show at the Stanley. Fantastic interior. Incredible woodwork, layout, warm feel. Great date spot or after work happy hour spot. Titos martini and draft beer, $14. Cheap given the great atmosphere. Too late to try the food, but will be going soon to do that. Best new spot in Utica, check it out!!!!! Enjoy!
Stay away from bangers & mash, has Italian hot sausage (microwaved?) in it red peppers and broccoli gross!! Asked for gravy (twice) no gravy, mashed potatoes literally cold. 30% tip , ignored, no thanks, employees are cliqy. A man was allowed to drop the f bomb loud and continously. Guinness taps arent cleaned. Other Beer warm.
Outstanding experience! We were in Utica for the weekend for a hockey game, and stopped in here for dinner. The fish and chips were fresh and the had a perfectly crisp texture. The burger on the specials list was to die for. Crisp bacon, caramelized onions, cheese and am exceptional truffle oil drizzle to top it off. My family is currently joking (only partly) about making the 3 hour trip again just for the burger. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The beer list also had something for everyone.TLDR: an overall great experience. Would definitely recommend.
Great place to eat and have a drink with friends, family or for business! The staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable. They can make any drink you want, even obscure ones like a Walter! The food is traditional Irish goodness too. I fell in love with the architecture and decor. You feel like you’ve been transported to a pub in the heart of Ireland. Definitely a must for anyone local or visiting Utica, NY!
Considering the bar area was assembled and shipped from Ireland, Id argue its the most authentic Irish pub for some distance, a little loud during dinner hour, but not so much that I couldnt hear the band. Food was great, very hearty, cant wait to try their full menu once its available
Very nice place, although. Let me explain. The decor and ambiance is one of the best in the area. The food was very good. Drink prices are in line. This is what needs improvement and is their shortfall. If you order drinks at the bar they take your credit card and keep it, very poor. If you eat at a table they dont do this. No pre- athorization on the POS. I believe this is against PCI rules and requirments and could be a security compliance issue. Second, we received millennial attitude from the waitress. Nothing better than a side of attitude with dinner. Other than that it is very nice.
In town for the night and we decided to eat here. We had the meatloaf dinner and shepherds pie. They were both delicious. Husband had bread pudding for dessert and it was yum. Affordable meal and drinks, lovely servers and the restaurant was very nice. My husband appreciated that music was kept at a volume that allowed conversation without shouting. If you in Utica check this place out.

2022-02-17First time being there tonight and it was amazing! The inside is so uniquely styled and the music just added to the authentic Irish ambience. The food was absolutely to die for! And the beer just as good. Sarah, our waitress was great! She was funny and made our time there special. Will definitely be going back soon!

2022-01-21I had heard nothing but good things about this restaurant, so myself and a couple of friends decided to have dinner here, located on Columbia St. When I visited their website it had mentioned making a reservation. So I went ahead and called to make the reservation. The call had gone smoothly and I had no problems making a reservation. My friends and I showed up to the restaurant and this is when I realized I made a huge mistake by coming here. Upon arrival, before being seated, the host at the front asked to see our papers. I was beyond shocked. I felt like this was something out of the late nineteen thirties, early nineteen forties Ger many. Not sure what I mean, then the pianist is a good place to start. I told the host that I did not have any papers to show him and he told me if I ever wanted to visit this restaurant again then I would need to show some proof of my jab or I would not be allowed in. I felt so embarrassed the way I was treated. I had no idea this restaurant discriminated against a group of people. No where on their website was this mentioned, and when I called to make the reservations they didnt mention it then either. I can not in good faith support a business that isnt accepting of all people. Any business owner should be fully aware that it has ALWAYS been the customers who have kept you in business, not (man)dates.

2022-05-21The place is really nice, and the service was awesome; however, I knocked a shamrock off because there was a little more fat in the Reuben than I care for and the French Onion Soup was mediocre. 🍀🍀🍀🍀

2020-09-27Absolutely fantastic place! Ive been to Ireland and this place is as authentic as any Irish Pub you may find...Bangers and mash, Guinness stew, Fish and Chips... Plus a good pint of draft to wash it all down!Great atmosphere, good drinks, well poured stout and cocktails.

2021-04-10Never been here before, the design is beautiful and well put together. Classy yet not over done. Has the Irish feel but not over the top. The beers are delicious and the food is desirable. I had their special that night, lobster ravioli. My wife had the meatloaf. I tried my wifes meatloaf and it was excellent. The lobster raviolis were really good but Im at an Irish restaurant/pub (not so Irish) it was really good and would get it again but wow that meatloaf was so so good. They had their irish gravy with it and It was fantastic. My wife is 8 months pregnant, we didnt have a reservation but they were still kind enough to seat us. They put two pub tables together to accommodate us. In My wifes current condition she was pretty uncomfortable with the pub chairs at that table. We didnt ask and was offered by the gentleman that seated us once he realized that she was pregnant if we wanted another table to sit at to make her more comfortable (which was so kind). Our server was on the ball, my glass didnt stay empty for more than 2 minutes and she was a joy to have, she even took our picture for us. It was my mothers birthday and were irish so we wanted to take her out. She had a blast and everything was spot on, we cant wait to go back and take advantage of their desirable outdoor seating area. If you havent been to this establishment youre missing out on a great experience, great beer and delicious food. Give them a try, you wont regret it.

2021-04-12Loved the look and feel of the place. Lots of separation of seating so it feels private for your party. We had Irish greens and pretzel bites to start. App sizes were not large but very fair for the prices. Great for a couple to share. Tasted phenomenal. Corn beef in the greens was so tendering delicious i everything was so flavorful and cooked perfectly.Lobster ravioli tasted great. I did wish it was served with a little more sauce.Clams and fish fry tasted great super flakey and tasty. Their French frys are cut in like a v shape perfect for ketchup scooping! Frys were more chewy then crunchy style but tasted great.Their Guinness machine allows you to get stock or personal images imprinted on it at no extra cost. Which is fun.

2020-01-02Great place to treat someone to. New castle feel is beautiful. No stair steps. Has lots of options for seating and some big rooms for events, maybe even for partys of 24? Friendly faces. My 5 point salad and tasty beer where a very nice treat for me on my first time there.
