Hadnt been to Garden Gourmet in a long time due to COVID. Fresh food selection has always been good. The food is still pricey but at least you get the specialty items that you are looking for that other stores in the neighborhood dont carry. I was there to get New Years Eve party food. Ended up getting ribs, well cooked just need to upgrade the barbeque sauce. Tasted like Open Pit. Thank goodness I had bbq sauce at home. It was definitely crowded and aisles cut off so it was a bit of an exercise course for someone with a disability, but I made it through. The staff of the store as usual were very helpful and with a smile all the time. Suggestion they need a place where people can leave their carts. As the carts in the store dont have the hooks on the end, people (including me) were trying to maneuver their personal shopping cart, and the store cart or basket. It was a mess and since the store carts are small you saw people trying to put their cart inside the store carts it was a mess :) We all tried our best. I ended up putting a basket inside my cart and ended up having to get another basket to carry. All in all good food selection and good staff. Havent tried the delivery all of these years, maybe I will this year. Ill definitely be going back. Happy New Year.
I thought I had reviewed this place before, but I am more than happy to make up for that oversight. I cannot tell you how much I love this place. In fact, I was just there last night on my way to my moms in Riverdale. Where do I begin? They have everything you need to satisfy any dinner guests you might have from almost anywhere in the country or rather in the world. They have a large assortment of ethnic foods. It is the only place I go to for kimchi. They have a tremendous cheese section that has to be seen to be believed. They have an assortment of freshly cooked hot foods that span the entire length of the store,f rom Italian to Spanish, and the usual American fare.Their prepared foods run the gamut from prepared salads of all varieties,to ready to cook pizzas, paninis, hamburgers, chickens, pastas, and baked goods like cookíes, cakes desserts, and yogurt muffins in a variety of flavors (finally picked up the double chocolate yogurt muffins after passing by them for months), Youll also find fresh squeezed juice drinks made in the store, like the ginger drink, a favorite of mine. They have a tremendously large beer section, foreign and domestic, to quench any palate. They also have a fine selection of seafood, meats and poultry. But what I love most about this place is the sheer variety of foods from around the world. From grains to desserts, etc. I should also mention that they many organic options to choose from, including meat and dairy, and produce.I take my hat off to John, the manager, who has instilled such a level of quality, care, and conscientiousness into the food service and preparation that this market provides to the community.By the way, I forgot to mention they have an outstanding produce section where everything is cleaned and prepped and cared for. Gotta add that one of my favorites is the flavored coffee beans section where you grind the beans in the machine yourself, of which they have at least 10 varieties. If you are dieting, they have everything you need. Of course, if youre dieting they also have everything you might want to avoid, lol. But you will never be disappointed with your purchase.
They have a kot of stuff here you cant normally find. Pricey but nice. Their hot food is good and weighed so sometimes it can get ridiculously expensive. Pretty decent shopping experience. Gourmet food items is their thing so come prepared with a decent amount of money in pocket or good credit limit. Youd be surprised how things add up.
Youre uptown, miles from Zabars, Fairway, etc and now youve found a place thats, in some ways, even better! Theyve got the real stuff: good Polish and Hungarian pre-packaged meats, dark ryes from Lithuania, and then an excellent deli section. Great produce, too, and an international selection of cheeses, cookies and other yummies. I love this place.
We love this market, its delicious prepared food and its level of high quality items from all over the world. It is easily our best grocery store in our region. It doesnt have the scale of Stop and Shop, but it is clearly the best grocery store in the area. Be aware, most of the staff do not speak English. I had to find a manager to find items that were not obvious. The staff are kind though. Merry Christmas to them!
I have always passed this store, and a friend of mine recommended this place dozens of times. I finally decided to go inside, and I am glad I did. Sells a variety of food items, and the deli sections where they serve hot food is fresh and hot. The staff on the sales floor are really helpful. I like that it has a great produce section. Everything looks fresh. The prices are fair. I will definitely shop here a lot often.
I visit this location three times a week for my little grocery adventure. i love it!the men stocking the aisles are far too kindthe cashiers are so pleasantprices are cheaper than one would anticipate, produce always fresh and the organic options are ridiculously inexpensive.they always have a great selection of hot meals, or cold paninis, pizza etc.i romanticize the baked good aisle, then pick up some fresh fruit.five stars, five stars!
Great place to shop the owner and manger very polite and commedating. The security guys are professional nd polite. Employees are from every ethnicity and so helpful. They treat you like family and remember who you are. They also help you pack your groceries. They have a very large vegan, vegetarian section. Fresh produce. The market is clean and organized also large organic variety sections. They also sell local products.
An large gourmet store featuring a big selection of produce, an extensive cheese department and a great assortment of well prepared hot foods. In addition, Garden Gourmet offers a wide selection of meats, international foods and beers. Its a fun place to visit where you can always find interesting foods at affordable prices.
This is our favorite neighborhood grocery store! We live in Inwood (Manhattan) and they delivery to us. They just added online shopping. Without fail, we receive amazing service. Delivery is always prompt, the employees in the store and the delivery staff are wonderful. Wonderful organic produce and brands are available at great prices. The store is beautiful to shop, if you can go in person. This is a neighborhood store, you can call and email them to place an order, if you prefer. They have the most impressive cheese shop I have ever seen in a grocery store, we also appreciate their baked goods, vegan brands, international desserts & snacks, and deli. I highly recommend shopping at this store, online or in person.
Its like the whole foods of the Bronx. Great selection of cheese and deli meats. It feels kinda small in there but the staff is great and so are the products available. I shop here frequently for their meats. You can usually get great cuts of beef and pork for a reasonable price.
The fact that this enormous store started at 1/3 the size is a testament to how the business is thriving. I went for pies and they were all sold out. So I got a bunch of clamshell cookie assortments instead. Out of the 3, I picked up 2 were semi fresh and one was rock solid, which meant they were past their shelf life, but no one was aware. On a brighter note, the antipasto was one of the better ones I have ever had. Just the right amount of seasoning and hunks of meat and cheese to make me crave more! So good! The store is well stocked and all those esoteric ingredients you cant find anywhere else, you should be able to find here. Great place to buy gifts for the foodies in your life. For the neighborhood, its a plus, slightly pricey, but you get what you pay for, most of the time. If you have never been here before plan to spend some time familiarizing yourself with the layout. My parents frequent it 2 -3 times a week and I am glad they dont have to go far to make healthier choices!
This place was being bragged about and I decided to give it a try. I was quite disappointed. I ordered a lunch for myself of mash potatoes, vegetables and ribs. For my son I ordered a crab salad, and for my grand daughter an octopus salad. The ribs were dry. My son didnt eat the salad. He said he tasted sour, and my grand daughter did not eat her salad. She said it was chewy. This was an expensive lunch. I threw money out the window. I will never eat here again.
This place has the best prepared hot and cold food and a very large selection. They have hard to find ingredients. This is the best store for everything you need. My husband shops there all the time after work to pick up dinner and lunch for the next day. I love this store. Keep up the good work!!!!
Bright, clean, always well-stocked. Amazing variety packed into the space. Fresh produce, raw meats, prepared foods, baked goods, deli meats, dairy, beers. Their cheese department is impressive, am always finding interesting Stiltons and bleu cheeses. Recently discovered Grand Noir bleu cheese and have become addicted.
First time visiting this store. Great selection of fruits and vegetables at discounted prices. Huge selection of prepared foods, cheeses, olives and more. Lots of staff working and many cashiers. No waiting-this was middle of the day on a Thursday. Great first experience, strong recommendation!
A wide variety of food to choose from. Im in love with the Portuguese white bread...picked at the right time is fresh and smells delicious. They have organic and non-organic food to pick from. It can be pricey but you get what you pay for. Theres also cooked food like soups, hot sandwiches and more. This place is always clean and staff is very helpful.
Great produce quality, good meats, wide selection of dairy and frozen items. Their bakery has delicious cakes.Free local delivery if your order is over $75, arrives in 1-3 hours.Checkout is fast, and the store is rarely too crowded. But my favorite thing about this store is the unrivaled variety of Eastern European food products, which usually can do not be found in specialty polish and Russian delis.
Im not sure what language the staff speaks but its not English or Spanish and its hard to communicate with them.I asked for arugula and everyone seemed annoyed that I would ask for such an exotic vegetable?!Ive tried several dishes of their prepared food and it looks a lot better than it tastes. Their food is either too spicy or bland.Their desserts and snacks are good. This place has a lot of potential but they cant seem to achieve excellence I suspect its due to mediocre management.
What doesnt this market have!!@. Food is good, with a variety of choices from many ethnic cultures. The buffet alley is very good; the fruit and veggie section is also very good; bread selections are awesime so watch it health wise. Back in the day we did not worry about weight, diet and health issues.
Great selection of cheese. The aisles are a bit narrow. But they do have a good selection of Europe products, breads and fresh food made daily. Customer service is not the best and cashiers are clueless but one can’t have everything. The products in the store are my priority and the prices are reasonable for the products. NO PARKING is a major drawback. The parking across the street is only for patrons of those businesses.
Easily the best market within miles. An amazing selection of international products from all over the world is what makes this place really stand out. The selection of products can be overwhelming. Respectable cheese department. Great selection of freshly baked breads and pastries. The prepared food area is enormous and everything is fresh. Good selection of organic stuff, if thats your jam. Very competitive prices. I live in Manhattan and come up here to shop for everything but the pantry essentials.
Excellent choice of food.Great selection of fresh fruit.Wonderful deli for meat and fish.High quality fresh juices.Carries organic products.Parking is free but side streets might have to be used.Easy to reach by mass transit.Located in a good place near lots of shopping.Slightly expensive.Excellent service.
Garden Gourmet is the best supermarket in the Bronx for its huge selection of fresh and organic produce and everything else. It is like a cross between Whole Foods, Fairway and West Side Market. I would give it 5 stars if it wasnt so expensive. It has a dazzling array of imported oils and almost everything you would find in a health food store.
This is a great neighborhood market. Always have a large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, to include a large organic section. An amazing bakery with many selections. The deli though is the creme de le creme. They have a substantial hot food bar with many choices from pasta to chicken to ribs. Tons of fresh salads and lots of cheese. This grocery store is definitely worth a visit!!!
Great for organic products. Items are a bit pricey. This place is great for fresh meats and produce. The fruits and vegetables tend to spoil longer than Other brands imo. Great beer selection better than your average selection FYI. All in all this a great spot to go if you can make it to Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. Those are still top but for a place uptown you can’t beat it. Hope this helps you if interested.
Their prepared foods are so good they sometimes make me mad :) But its the scope and breadth of their international selection of meats, cheeses, olives, breads, pantry essentials, and fresh produce that you will be hard pressed to find under one roof anywhere else, though you may look far and wide....and I have. Que Rico!
Awesome supermarket! Veges and fruits are fresh at very reasonable prices! Huge cheese and beer selections. They generally have good selections of groceries. Olives are great, deli meats are delicious. Some fresh bread and prepared food. They also have organic veges and meat. One year, I bought organic turkey for the Thanksgiving and turkey was so nicely cleaned that there was no fat to use for the gravy. I had to use some of the skins. Best supermarket in Riverdale/West Bronx
GREAT place for quality in season produce. The butcher and selection of prepared foods are diverse and delicious. Some items are competitively priced while other easier to find items might be cheaper else where. If you want high quality fresh food this is the place to shop. Of your looking for something unique this is your place.
Think it looks big from the outside? Just wait until you get inside. This place has everything and is amazing. Hands down, the best place in the neighborhood for fresh fruit and vegetables. Want more types of cheese than you can carry? Or more variety of beer that an ordinary store? Go here now.
Just went in the store and was followed by security. Security followed me from the produce section and then down the aisles. It was horribly obvious and disgusting, esp given the location of the supermarket in a black and brown community. I read several other one star reviews of customers saying the same thing.
Love this place, SO glad it exists in our neighborhood. Some items can be a bit pricey by comparison to other supermarkets, but many others are not at all so, and the food quality is excellent. Also love the wide range of choices AND, special treat for me, the food imported from all over Eastern Europe! Finally, their customer service is pretty laudable.
The Best Place to shop for well stocked groceries. Delicious, quality, hot and cold, prepared foods. That was a tasty mouthful and Im just getting started. Better yet, why dont you see for yourself? Anything you need, can be found there, by pleasant, courteous employees.😄
Such a great addition to the neighborhood. I have been shopping here weekly for years and never left a review, so a little late to the review game here. Im a local independent real estate broker in Riverdale and Kingsbridge. Every time I sell a home or rent an apt to a new tenant in the neighborhood, I recommend this market to them. The prepared foods are great, and the normal grocery items are consistently fresh and tasty. Even with all this, the prices are in line with the rest of neighborhood. Probably going to have a rotisserie chicken from there for dinner tonight:)
Went in search of a unique style of Jewish chocolates my mother loves but can only find online now a days. Found them here for a good price. They also have a very large variety of foods from different countries which is great for trying new things. Just kinda hard to choose with such a large store full of delicious items.
This shop has food from around the globe, however I never liked what they make themselves. Twice I tried to buy cold cuts from the deli and both times I got the filling, that I was given a different thing from the one that I ordered. Probably a cheaper type of turkey breast. There is absolutely no way to see what they actually cut to you. Also, when I bought some poultry packed in the store it smelled with cheap household cleaner, probably a disinfectant. May be they use it to refresh the expired product. That was just disgusting. The smell inside the shop is frequently unpleasant. Some food may be expired. For some reason all women and only women are working like cashiers. I never saw women in the deli department or elsewhere. Look like some discrimination to me. As well as the fact that almost all stuff is Spanish. Its not like this in other places. Anyway I never had any of this problems in the Stop and Shop supermarket nearby or any other store in the neighborhood. We also has great Whole foods market at Yonkers. There is no real need to visit Garden gourmet. I dont want to shop there anymore.
I lived in the neighborhood for 12 years before braving in to garden gourmet. I just assumed it was your run-of-the-mill grocery store but the store lives up to their name. They have very good prepared hot and cold dishes, awesome olives and cheeses, a great selection of bread beyond your typical commercial more-air-than-bread bread, a fantastic deli counter, great produce, and a great selection of specialty / ethnic foods. Im sure theres more that Im forgetting, but its definitely worth checking out.
Ive never been in a supermarket that has security guards patrolling the isles and damn near 10 cameras per isle. They have a lot of organic options here. I found a lot of products that you only find in supermarkets in lower Manhattan or in Fairway and wholefoods. They also have hot foods. I will shop here again.
This place is awesome. Great selection of local and international stuff. I always buy my fresh fruit and veggies here, plus kefir, organic yogurt, cheese etc. Very good stuff at reasonable prices. The only thing u have to watch is the prepared food and fruit. A couple things I saw were moldy, and once I had to return some thing and couldnt find a replacement that wasnt nasty. Wound up just getting my money back.
This is the greatest grocery store in the area for fresh produce, meat, fish, cheese, deli food, and prepared food. They have everything you could ever want in these categories and usually for relatively reasonable prices for New York City. The run-of-the-mill name-brand non-perishables on the other hand, are sparse and way overpriced. For example, do not buy cereal or canned goods from here if you can avoid it. The employees are generally nice and knowledgeable, though checkout can take a while.
The layout is confusing and I was racially profiled in the store because I was a black man. The security guard came over acting like he was looking for something in my section, coming all the way from the front of the store. I spent over $100 on food in the store. I would never return to the store again
The quality of this store diminished in recent months. Most items are not fresh whatsoever. I bought rosehip jam that was supposed to expire in 2022, but there was mold on top of the spread when I opened it. Their tiramisu is dry and old. The bread sits there for days. It’s hard as a rock.Working here, you won’t last more than a few months. They constantly change the cashiers. You will not get any job security here. Behind the gourmet facade they put on for customers, things are filthy.
We love this place! Only reason it doesnt get five stars is because its not at the level of a Whole Foods. It has an incredible selection of international foods. Feeling homesick for your country of origin? Look no further for a little comfort food from back home. Huge prepared food section. And amazing desserts. Oh and also every now and then they do a HUGE cheese tasting. I leave with tens of toothpicks in my pockets.
Pricrs here are just a bit higher but you are paying for selection and presumably better quality. I bought some sushi here (2 plates, total of $15), a bottle of seltzer water (1 liter, 69 cents) and a $2 bag of packaged cookies for a mean lunch. Good shopping atmosphere, and checkout was quick. There is a lot of competition around this neighborhood, including several chain grocery stores, to keep this place on their toes.
They have everything you need. Great quality and you pay for it. They have a huge prepared food section and they do catering too.I do not recommend the catering because I ordered 3 things the other day and one of them was not prepared as described on the menu (spanish rice) and the other (macaroni and cheese), Im 100% sure came from a box and was terrible. No one at the party ate these things but thankfully I had lots of other food and my event wasnt ruined. I went to garden gourmet and showed them the tray of mac n cheese the following day and Yanni, the manager was very understanding and gave me a refund. The customer service is generally outstanding, things are great and I love coming here. However, I will never forget the catering disaster.
What a wonderful place! For years, my Mom would tell me she had just been to, the cheese shop, and I pictured a small storefront with aromatic wheels stacked up to shoulder height.Well, when I finally joined her in a visit to the Garden Gourmet, it wasnt quite like that. Yes, there were great cheeses (and sampling of some varieties), but that was only the beginning of what you could find. And that was before the store expanded to twice the floor space.Cheeses, salads, deli, prepared foods, breads, fruits and veggies, ethnic specialties, you name it.Tell the truth, I could get much of whats there back at home, but XXXXXX (name hidden to preserve the anonymity of my pastoral paradise) isnt your usual small town. The special thing about Garden Gourmet was finding a neighborhood store in the Bronx with /all/ the good stuff. Not just the odd jar of Hero preserves, but /all/ the good imported brands. Not necessarily inexpensive (though some items were noticeably good buys), but not bad for NYC pricing.
I dont come here much, since its a bit of a walk from my house, but I LOVE this store. It has all the specialty items I need that I cant get at my regular superarket. They have a great seection of cheeses and other gourmet items.I like their hot food bar, sandwiches and olive bar a lot. Especially the olives. This is a good store to get a variety of healthy brand alternatives as well as your vegan friendly and gluten free items!
Why spend a fortune at Whole Foods when you get a lot of similar items here for a lot less. We found this place to have some quality food and for reasonable prices. The only thing is that the rows are kind of narrow and the place can get crowded which makes it hard to maneuver through the store.
This place has many unique things. Prices are slightly higher than at other fruit and veggie stores but the quality is slightly better. Some things are cheaper here which is a pleasant surprise when you find it. If you buy the culled produce you can stretch money. They have a good assortment not many nice quality items with a bent towards healthy nutricious quality items. To do that they must charge enough to make profit and pay all the staff. One of the few places where I can buy kefir which hasnt been pasturized. I dont drink pasturized milk products. They are harmful. In my opinion.
I just went in one time for fresh fruit and vegetables due to low prices shown outside. I could not find anything I liked as far as quality. Did not like looks or feel of the food I examined. Walked out without buying anything. Low prices are meaningless if the food isnt appetizi ng.
They try to nickel and dime you. Since the new state-wide law banning plastic bags came into effect, stores were mandated to charge 5 cents for paper bags. This store now asks you to pay 15 cents for the same size paper bag that for instance Whole Foods would sell you for 5. When I asked the cashier why I am being charged so much for a simple paper bag she pointed out to another tiny bag that was next to her and said that that one would cost me 5 cents. This completely turned me off. No class. I have been coming to this store for more than 10 years. Not a good move on the part of Garden Gourmet management to try to profit, at the expense of shoppers, from the new draconian law. As I said before - no class.
Went into store heard about low prices on fruits and vegetables. Looked around for the soup, finally found the soup and went on line to pay and some lady came to my line when I am about to pay to bag my item. Advised lady do not want soup in plastic bag, so it was placed in paper bag , asked for spoon was advised cashier has spoons. After the soup was placed in bag the lady walked away. Why did I get extra attention?
Superb market. The word gourmet is likely the most misused word in retail today. But not so at the Garden Gourmet Market. From the best quality cheeses, to fruits, to a full high end, supermarket with an offering of hot, ready to eat food, to caviar, yes, a wide selection of caviar, Caspian caviar also. A wide selection of foreign and local craft beer? Absolutely. Worth a trip from Brooklyn.
Great fresh homemade foods to the right of the store, cheeses could be.more hi-end.but I personal know that most ebt customers dont have a clue on Great important cheese.but the basics, like cheddar if your that type of cheese, then they wild selection ,fresh & inexpensive...great breads!!!!! Actually the only place to get amazing bread in riverdale.......every other supermarket in the entire Riverdale area is just a cheap Frozen ,then baked ,comes out soft baguettes, gross.soft cheap!!!! Period.all you bread lovers understand me.if you like baguette, cheese & good red wine, theh gourmet garden is for you....Ive done Consulting work on the bakery in Harlem & Fairway back in the 90s I helped open up the Barefoot Contessa first year ever in Easthampton ina Gardner,, with Martha Stewart 1984 cook at windows on the world Sea Grill in Rockefeller Center owner and operator 6 high-end bagel shops for 20 years in Manhattan and Dean & DeLuca sous chef catering Chef for 5 years so living in spending most of my time in Riverdale in the Bronx its the only place I can eat
Been shopping at this store for years. Today I needed access to a restroom as my 2 yr old daughter needed to go. With my daughter in my arms, several store employees refused to allow us to use it. Very disheartening to see how they treat people in the neighborhood and a loyal customer for years.
Every time I visit my father I love to go to Garden Gourmet. I grew up in the neighborhood but for the past 32 years live in the San Francisco Bay Area where people pride themselves on being foodies. With all the gourmet restaurants, famous chefs, and so-called gourmet stores, I still have not found a food store that can come close to Garden Gourmet at home. The assortment is tremendous and the quality is very good.
Great friendly staff. You can a lot of eastern/western European foods and cusinine. A lot of kosher foods and healthy organic dietary. There a lot homemade produce. The have a very good food market where the can prepare you freshly meals. There salad bar is phenomeanal. You can also find some hispanic produce and asian produces. The prices here are at the higher end. This place is not cheap. However, you can find really rare produce or back home produce that would be difficulty to find anywhere else. This is not a place to shop but it shouldnt be the only place you should shop. There is absoulety no parking just meter parking and a lot of traffic officers. There is also a lot of double parking at this supermarket so that might be annoying.
Has yet to fail me. Everything I have looked for ive found here. things THAT ARENT easy to find and i would usually order online . Shirtaki Noodles (zero carb and calorie noodles ) Halloumi cheese , Sugar free chocolate chips (LILYS) to make my own cookies. sugar free syrup, just everything. Makes my keto diet a breeeeze! BTW there was an employee working 2.12.20 6:30 pm who picked up the phone and helped me find the sugar free chocolate chips that was sooooo helpful. I didnt get hos name but He was actually walking to the shelves and checking if they had what i was looking for, i actually felt bad and told him its not neccessary and he said Well now i wanna know too lol how cute !... so happy i moved closer to the area!
Racist supermarket!! Security was following me around the entire supermarket and making it very obvious that he was watching me. Felt highly uncomfortable when all I came in the store was for a couple of items. I saw a few reviews on Yelp where the same issue happened with them and they only seem to do it if youre a young person of color. I use to like shopping there, but now I will never go back there!
For a locally owned grocery, Garden Gourmet does a great job catering to the needs of their customer base. You can find organic produce, GF items, ethnic specialities, bulk nuts and good chocolate.Their cheese counter is amazing.... and the prices cant be beat!Make sure to check out their large variety of take away items. Their choice of prepared salads and heat-n-eat meals is great.Dont miss out on this little Bronx gem, just off of the 1 ttain
When you walk to the deli, you see all the signs for Boars Head meat. But watch when they make your sandwich, because thats not what they use. I watched 3 orders before me, and the two men used the cheapest meats. He used Boars Head on mine only because I asked if thats what they used. I asked for mayo on my sandwich, but as I was eating it, I was tasting mustard. I opened my sandwich and found mustard mixed in with the mayo, so they dont wipe the utensils between orders. If you dont mind junk meat when you are paying for Boars Head, and dirty utensils then have your sandwich made there.
If you are looking for organic , natural or non gmo this is your place , i have even found soursop here . They also have kosher and Greek /Russian grocery items. They have a massive deli and hot food counter . Wish this place was closer to me becauce i would be here everday .The prices are decent . I highly recommend this place.

2022-02-22Great store, with great variety in all possible food categories. Everything from fresh veggies, very good meat selections, a decent range of multi-cultural offerings, probably the best in-store beer selections in the area, and a great deli.But.. because there is always a but.. this is my pet-peeve among *all* grocery stores everywhere. 𝙄𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙣𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙. I dont care if its a sticky-label on the product, or a properly placed -𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙- shelf label that identifies the product and cost.. its utterly infuriating when Im looking over products, and there is not a price to be found anywhere.I flat out walk away from all those products, and I expect most everyone else does also.Problems like these drive me away from local stores and directly to on-line shopping, where you will never find a product that doesnt identify the price.Honestly, my one-and-only complaint about Garden Gourmet Market. In all other aspects, its an excellent store and one of the best in the area.

2022-03-14First of all, this place does not miss! Everything is organized, quality and top tier! I go out of my way to come here because I live in an absolute food desert with NO specialty markets to speak of. If I dont come to this Market then I have to go to Manhattan or order the items online, which I dont always have the time for. The hard working staff is super available and helpful and the beer selection alone is worth a trip. The price complaints in the other reviews need to stop for the simple fact that this is quality food that is not readily available in this area of the Bronx! I am very grateful to have this place near me ❤

2022-07-10The store is conveniently located to where I live, so I was a very frequent visitor. I always knew that they are pricier than other stores, but because of the convenience I continue to shop there until today. I just went to pick up my favorite coffee. The price precisely was $6.99 and today $8.59. They increased the price over 20%, yet other places the price is still the same and $2.50 less. I also picked up 40 oz bottle of out for $8.85 while the same oil 48 oz bottle at target costs $4.09. Basically I feel lite at this point they are ripping people off, so I will no longer go there.

2022-04-21Convenient spot, but you really got to check for expired or close to expired food.

2022-05-10Check carefully your bill, those cashiers makes mistakes over mistakes, they over charge all the time.Chek the expiration date on the perishable food.Dont buy organic ,very questionable 🤔.So is the home made food. Not the same good marke that open over 10 years ago.A.Franco

2022-05-19Oh Cheese!!! Lovrly sale priced varieties on hand.Love their delicious arrays of authentic mid Slavic exotic sausageand such: Meaty confections like true Head Cheese, Birii (? Smoked short rib cuts). As I remember from childhood in Edmonton, Alberta. A heavy Russian fandom in Riverdale.Ah, yes.

2018-12-18Who doesnt love Garden Gourmet?! I utilize them for many things I cant get elsewhere. Namely their cheeses. Theyve a whole selection of cheeses. One of my faves is feta cheese. I use it in alot of dishes so buying the box in bulk is convenient. Garden Gourmet is the only place that has it! And I come from the Castle Hill section of the BX.
