Honestly very clean, good food, friendly staff and good place for a photo shoot. Food is good and there are also sweets. Limited parking. Let me know if you wanna know about other places and also there is a variety of food to choose from and it’s really fresh however for the sweets it depends sometimes they are fresh and sometimes okay. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel called My Lovely World and I will post more videos coming up, if you can’t find the channel put the videos name “Victoria secret haul my Lovely world” you help me by subscribing to my channel and Ya Girl will let you know about different places (honest reviews). THANK YOU ALL 🙏🏻
We- seven persons, had excellent dinner this evening. We ordered Sheekh Kebab, Goat meat curry, Chicken tanduri, Paya, Aloo Baigan, Chaat, Tawa Roti, Tanduri roti, Lassi. The lady who served was very well behaved and soft spoken. We are very impressed with food quality and quality of the lady. We wish the Restaurant more clients and more business.
I love this Middle Eastern Take-Out cuisine!! Um frum BROOKLYN and enjoy visiting NYs diverse neighborhoods to experience Authentic cuisine. This Take-out spot has some of THE Most flavourful Chicken Biryani and Chicken Qorma youll get on this side of the Atlantic ocean!! Love those tender pieces of chicken steeped in that rue of tomato, ginger, herbs and Middle Eastern exotic spices!!! I took it home and paired it with my homemade green beans and sweet plantains.......my mouth was H A P P Y!!! The price is more than fair and the portions a plenty! My only gripe is that if youre not Middle Eastern you may have to wait a while to be served, they tend to take care of their own community first. Just be patient, its worth the wait. - As-salamu alaykum (Peace be unto you)
BEWARE! They are listed as “Veggie Wonderland”and “Plant based Indian” on UBEREATS.I ordered 2 sodas, a cauliflower & potato dish, 2 parantha and a naan. I only got the parantha and cauliflower dish and the dish was very small. I called them and they said to reorder again to get the dish. Who is going to spend money again for your mistake? They tried to give me have my order even though I paid for the whole order in its entirety. I got my missing items refunded through UBEREATS.DON’T ORDER FROM HERE.The food is not that great. Spend your money elsewhere.
Food was good like haleem, Lahori Chanay and seekh kabab. But they have to improve a lot on cleanliness, Serving Customers. The staff was good but they were facing shortage of staff. Which make long wait for food and no proper serving. The aunty who were doing all the thing alone. Hats off to her
The food was stale and it was microwaved from like a month ago.The sweets were so hard and they have no manners at all. They charge interest at like 4% for cards and call it tax. Also they don’t wear masks. The guy at the cash register be like please give us five stars to boost our rating they don’t want to increase their service but they won’t better rating.
This place has something for everyone looking for a quick fix or full on BBQ or meal.Rice pudding (Kheer) & Ras Malai (savory dumpling in milk) sweet dishes are a must for someone with a sweet tooth 😋Service could get better and I’m sure restaurant management is working on it 🤞🏽Kashmiri Chai is delicious 🤤 Highly recommend 👍
Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner AND dessert. Good quality, freshly made food and good service. If you’ve never tried Pakistani cuisine before it’s definitely a good place to be your first, they have lots of options to choose from. You won’t be disappointed! Also, BEST CHAI 😍
Here for birthday of my little one and this place has a great Hall so they are so good and so nice to serve you a good quality of food so everything was good they had a DJ over there they have large place to get in around 100 people. they have sound system Microphone the speakers and they have a good Stage place so everything was nice and food was so tasty. This place also has a restaurant to sit in and Takeaway for Indian and Pakistani dishes.
This place is a rip off every thing is overpriced.Ordered Chicken Kachoris and Samosas and are below standard and so yellow.Ordered dine in Kabab and they tasted like they were from a month ago just microwaved. There Raita was sour also past it’s due date. They Wear no mask went during Aftari time they refused to serve me claiming it’s Aftari even though Aftari was an hour ago, plenty of time to set things straight.Bought sweets so bad,so hard absolutely no shira. They already charge a whopping 4% if you use a card with an additional charge of 3% what they claim is interest.Wish I could give zero stars, worst experience.
Visit this trashy restaurant after a longtime they never intend to change. Worst customer service, uncooked Naan, Roti look like paper sheet.Everyone should excercise their rights not to pay if this Restaurant fail to fulfill required customer taste.Ever single pakistani Restuarant on this avenue should be checked by Health department for hygiene as well as food condition.
We had a party in their hall for a one year old birthday and the party was absolutely great EXCEPT The staff was rude and overcharged us at the end of the party. We entered the hall and they had customers sitting at our reserved tables. If youre going to overcharge then at least give us an empty hall. UNPROFESSIONAL. First they overcharged and then kept comlaining because the hall was dirty. They expected us to clean their hall too, even after we got over charged 200 dollars. Good hall , good experience but VERY rude staff.
We came to Gourmet Sweets after a recommendation from the neighborhood. It did not disappoint! We had their gola kebab, tikka, naan, as well as their achar gosht and paya. Everything from the customer service to the food was amazing!!! We will definitely be returning for some more delicious food! If you want delicious Homemade Pakistani food, check out Gourmet Sweets!
This place is great for events. But I will never ever host my event here. They dont respect employees. They pay people under the table and treat employees like slaves. Just because these Pakistanis have money and are in business for long time they think they can take illegal immigrants and treat them like slaves. I am sorry, but we will not be attending this restaurant any more and encourage anyone with respect to humanity to stay away from doing business with places that dont treat employees with respect. Specially the manager, IQBAL.
Gourmet has got a good location for the Pakistani community in Coney Island in particular. The restaurant generally serves the entire Brooklyn. One can find authentic Pakistani cuisine here, which turns into a cultural crossroad for various ethnicities interested in trying the delicious cuisine of Pakistan. The prices are, however, on the higher end, whereas the cleanliness in the restaurant is also compromised. There is a particular food-like smell in the air all the time (which is not necessarily bad).
There is nothing worse than having to reiterate an order at a restaurant. There is nothing worse than an employee ignoring your order. Theres nothing worse than waisting your time for no apparent reason. THIS restaurant IS worse than all of those things. If you have nothing to do in your life, like being ignored & disrespected, then this place is great. The worst restaurant on Coney Island ave. In terms of service. Not so great in taste either. I recommend Hadi restaurant a few minutes drive from there.*this is my first and last review of any restaurant. I dont do this. But this ducking place 🖕🏽👎🏽
I used to be a huge fan of their food. It used to be my go to place everytime I was in NYC. But their food quality started declining tremendously and they started serving stale food. If you go at night, they serve stale food sitting since morning. I got channa to go for my father and he after consuming it, he had a heart attack next morning because of the extreme gas, indigestion and heartburn from eating that Channa. I have medical records if anyone is skeptical of this. Never gone back. 0 stars.
They got 1 secret dish that is probably the best kept secret in Brooklyn. You have to order it separately, but together its the best kati roll around.Order:1 nana2 sikh kabobsAnd tell them to make a sandwich, ask them to add some haleem to it, some chutney and hot peppers, ummhmmmm. For $3 you have a better/healthier meal than McDs
They might get 5 stars but the owner has no respect and he is inside the counter with no hat no gloves taking on the phone all the time. Some times even the workers dont even wear the hats. Its like chill place for them. There is no line that who came first and who came after. No one is there to ask u so they can help u out. Dont recommend it
A good bakery with a variety of food and dishes. There bar b q biryani and channa All desi stuff and the kichori is very good specially jalebis are good but whenever i get it its always been cold and theyve lots of variety in sweets too. Its good bakery but can never match with the taste in Pakistan. But better than others bakerys here.
They have good variety of sweets and savory food. Love love love the milk jalebi and the till seeds sweet dont know the name. Samosa chaat is good too. One thing that lacks which probably isnt their fault is the desi uncles staring at your place like omg a girl in a desk restaurant without a guy? And even the staff looks like that sometimes..
Worse place to visit so far the place this place sucked, the guys inside working has no respect for you and your guest constant wining of the waiters and they record you on their phone or face time with their friends to show other guys about the party. They also were smoking vape or something inside the hall where there are kids who even does that when there is a party going on. Dont look at the 5 or 4 star reviews because all of their friends rate them good review to look at it so other people come to their place. Food was also cold which made everything worse. I strongly recommend going somewhere where its more private and has more private.
On the whole service was Very poor. We were 7 people, order for kakbab and got cold already cooked and chicken tikka was almost burned which we didnt returned. Couple of nan were burned from the back. Which they replaced. Methai was excellent and dahi barey were delicious. I hope owner will pay attention on these issues. The person who was serving was nice guy, he apologized for all these. That was Saturday night on 21st September around 11pm
Came from baltimore and will come again, and we absolutely enjoyed the experience. It was very clean and their food was amazing. Everything was fresh. Good Appreciation for the customer, really nice people that enjoy doing what they do. Overall, it was a great a experience and I reccommend anyone visiting the area to give this spot a go.
Service was very bad, servers do not even know what is on their menu. There was no proper greeting from any server. They need better employees. They served the wrong food. First 5 things I asked for on the menu they didnt have all my food came in long time increments asked for soda and it came when everyone was finished eating half of the food was raw. Very disgusting. I am very disappointed in the service when I try to tell the server that I was unsatisfied his response was Im not responsible for the service provided. What kind of restaurant server is not responsible for the service? Please do not spend your money here.
They sold me spoiled stinky biryani. I brought 2pk biryani and 2 pound jalebi and some other small item. The jalebi was fine but had to put the biryani in trash. I live far cant even go back to return it. They should be honest and tell me its not fresh so i could buy something els from them.
I would like to give 4 Stars only for their sweats. Other then that food is ok. Not an amezing place to eat. Its not clean and since I found out they buy their meat at Jetro ( whole food store) i stoped going there. How can it be halal? Costumer Service is also very poor. Even you call before going still naans will take forever.
3-stars due to inconsistency in service during their (often) busy times. Most food tastes meet the average standards. In my opinion, their samosa-chaat and Qulfi (traditional) icecream is the best in the entire northeast coast, however watch out for them sneaking in old food with some new which they might be getting or transferring from their other chain restaurants one in Jackson Heights, Queens and the other one just a few blocks away at 786 CI Ave. Seating in the hall is barely okay, but not in their main entrance and counter area.
A Godsend at 645 am on a drizzly Saturday morning. Was working from 3 am and nothing was open besides this and Gyro King. Got a Keema Paratha, with A Beef Kebab and Pakistani tea, complimentary water, charged my phone, and the use of a clean bathroom for $5. Filled belly, good service... what more can I say?
I have been a customer of gourmet sweets for years and have witnessed the decline in customer service and food quality. It’s sad but these guys have lost their touch they have hired new people that are just bad at their jobs! Food is not fresh they will just reuse old food!!
The food was fine; however, if booking for an event...they are absolutely terrible. We had an event booked for 5:00 pm and were told that we could come in 2 hours in advance to set up. We got there around 3:45 and saw to our horror the party hall full of people, apparently there was another event happening. So we went inside and inquired. We spoke to Mr. Hassan, who we made the booking with, he said the event will end at 5:00 and when I said but we had booked for 5 and need to set up for our event, he accused me of lying and saying that we booked for 7:00 after a little back and forth, I showed him the receipt on which he, himself had written down the time, once he saw that, he didnt have much to say and got flustered. He went away for a few minutes and came back saying theres nothing he can do, the event ends at 5:00 and well just have to wait. Mind you, we were traveling from Staten Island and had two very young babies with us, with no where else to go, we waited in the restaurant part of Gourmet Sweets. Finally, we were told we could start setting up...the people from prior party were still there and eating...we had no choice but to intrude. A couple of employees helped us with setting up including a 15 year old boy, which was very helpful. As this was an all girls event, we had requested all male employees to refrain from entering to respect those who observe the hijab. However, they just came in and out as they pleased which was extremely disrespectful. The bathroom was not clean and smelled horrible. Many of our guests complained to the only female staff there, who just ignored the matter. We were told to notify them a half an hour in advance to serve food. I approached this female staff at 7:30 and told her we would like for the food to be served at 8:00. When come 8:00, there was no food in sight, I approached her and asked, wheres the food? She went away and came back saying they will start setting up and it will be ready by 8:30 (by now I wanted to pull my hair out...the lack of service was driving me crazy), we had women who had left their children home and diabetic guests who needed to eat. Now it was 8:30...no food in sight, I approached her again and she assured me it will be ready soon. There was only that one 15 year old boy working hard to set up the food, I asked her to help him in order to speed up the process and she refused saying that is not her part of the job. Finally around 8:50ish we could eat...everyone was super hungry by now. Now it was time to pay, employees were approaching us asking us to be discreet when giving tip...ugh, wait a minute! Is that a smart way of asking for tip? and why do we need to be discreet? Do they want it all for themselves and not have to share? HOW GREEDY!!!! We were charged a full amount, even though an item was missing from the menu and the whole timing fiasco at the beginning. We had to remind them of these for them to take off the appropriate amount, even that was a mission. Over all, poor management and coordination of events, poor service, poor guest relations, greedy and lazy female staff member, dirty bathroom, mean/ill mannered employee named Hassan, and a very overworked 15 year old. NEVER AGAIN!!!
Horrible service. I have never been treated with such disrespect. They clearly do not know the difference between Chana chaat, samosa chat and dhai bhare. The waitress was too busy babysitting and asked us to grab water and food. Our food came after 45 minutes in bits and peices. The guy at the register with the earrings needs to take class on customer service. I feel sick. Save your money and time.
Went there, worst experience ever. I began to order and they didnt even have basic essential Pakistani food dishes like butter chicken and chicken carrai. So we ordered what they had available, the kabobs came with naans we were with a party of 15 and guess what how does naans and kabobs come out with mo plates or chutney for a party of 15. Then chicken chargah came half raw chicken disgusting. Then i had asked for chicken currai the server try to play us put some sweet and sour chicken and try to tell us it was chicken currai ? Really are you serious? They try to make a fool of us. Horrible service do not eat there if you want good food and a good experience.
I m coming to dine this restaurant, I order some food, but one of them tall staff he is very rude, no manner, he not handle customers nicely, he is very aggressive to me, I order somosa, he told me u go over there, I say I order more he rudely told me coo down, I only say I want more.. that time he take phone order.. please we not see is this place, owner lose customer like this man, thks... be careful like that rude person.
I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service was horrible and the lady taking our order was babysitting a random child. The food came after every 20 minutes and it all tasted the same. The staff was rude and disrespectful and it was overall a bad experience. Spend your money somewhere else!
Ive been coming here for years and this is whats going on in my head did the guy behind the counter register my order? Apparently it takes them without fail 1 hour to process an order of 5 naans. Im getting the impression they have to see your face to confirm the order. The random consistency of the dahi bhallay is something that is beyond disgusting. I mean if youve been in business for more then a decade already get that right. To add injury to the insult you buy 20+ samosas and get a couple small chutni containers. Seriously now? Make a large container of chutni for large orders. Some guy posted it was this or gyro king that was item late night, Id pick gyro king anyday just for the consistency and generous portions. If the owner is reading this please consider working on streamlining work flow.
They did not Weigh the sweets infront of the Customers. They Weigh Behind the counter table. You cannot see how much its Weight. They just charge you by the box and 7 dollar / lb is just a word to rip off. Not all pieces weigh equal choose 7 pieces. All boxes weigh less than lb but they charge top price. 1lb is like 453 gm so you actually getting 375 or low each box and paying for lb because the box i see machine says 395 that was my box one of 15 that i order. charge me straight 7 dollar. Did even bother to tell me that its not 1lb.
Never go here this guy name shabuz from Bangladesh in the morning gives his own price and takes his own tip. Beware of this guy and try not to go here his place is garabage. I called for 15 naan with butter, I got 15 naan without butter when I came home. Not happy go somewhere else !!! Inshallah will be better this this place!!!
Authentic Pakistani food in the heart of Brooklyn NY. Not the mild version of Desi cousine under the disguise of Indian food. Original people and original food. Try their Haleem, Tikka Kabab, Seekh Kabab, Paya, butter Naan and much more. They have a big variety of sweets to satisfy your sweet tooth. You get a lot more value for your dollar here as compared to NJ. We are a family of 6 and we like to eat well. But the dinner tab was nominal.Raj ke khao tey maze urao.
I am 100% agree for many other people who said about customer service don’t think about how much you guys make money from business just think how you reach this goal via desi people how gave you opportunity to achieve this goal do best guys then we can say you’re doing 100
Food is ok. Horrible service. I have never been treated which such disrespect at any other restaurant. Rude , disrespectful. First time we went lady at the counter was rude : decided to give it a second chance with same result. I am from ny : would never recommend this restaurant to anyone and if someone asked would tell them not to go this restaurant that is how horrendous the staff at this restaurant is from management down. There are so many places in nyc with better food and service . The staff at this restaurant need a class on how to treat customers ct.

2022-01-27Food is good and prepared right away. But 10/10 for the behavior. They treat the customers as family. So polite and clean. Good for quick food. They are open from very early morning to late and serves breakfast, lunch and snacks. Price is regular. $-$$. Specially the sister works there is very attentive to your order and cordial. The other stuff are very fast to serve the food. Its a pretty busy store.

2022-06-19I had placed the order through GubHub and the restaurant messed it up big times.we had ordered Chicken Pulao but they sent Chicken Briyani ana it was so cold that it seems like they didnt bother heating up after messing it up. Second, we placed the order for Qeema Paratha and it was so old and hard and it tasted so bad, you can get an idea by looking at the picture below for it Last but not the least, we ordered 2 Kashmiri Chai, they were so cold and even after hearing up, the taste was so bad that we had ended up throwing it out. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

2021-12-22First and last time eating from this restaurant. We ordered 2lbs of metai and all of it was hard and stale. We asked for a samosa and papri chaat. It was the SAME exact dish when they bought it out. It was literally yogurt with dahi pulki for both, no samosas or anything, tasted horrible. Sorry but wont be going back there again. The pic below is supposed to be their samosa/papri chaat.

2022-03-29Very nice experience! Went in for a family dinner today, the staff was very kind and attentive. We ordered haleem, butter chicken, chapli kebab, and tandoori chicken. Everything tasted great. If you are craving Pakistani food and want to come to Brooklyn definitely go here. I have been to many hyped up Pakistani restaurants which have been a complete fail. Authentic Pakistani taste and wonderful staff.

2022-05-11Averg restaurant the pathan lady who served us was trying to be so much bossy we were tired for day, and was not in mood to take instructions or advises , they serve jug of water on every table and I saw it on some tables when I asked for water she refused to gv me jug of water and gave pushed me to get bottle of water.usuaaly they serve salad free with meal its every where in coney island . And she charged me 4 dollars for no reason in 4 dollors you get big tub of salad with raita. On the top of it she has been advising me wot to do with my new born .I dint aak for advise I had two young kids with me I know wot to do with kids I was telling her I need 3 roties and 3 kebabs but she forcefully gave me 4 roties and 4 kababs .I really hated her attitude. Never gonna go to this restaurant again in my life and never recommend it to any of my family and friends ,making money is good but not on the cost of loosing coustomers.

2022-05-31We visited the restaurant yesterday from out of state on 05/30/2022, we were a party of 15 (adults + kids) and thought the place was small but the owner said more seating is available in the hall adjacent to them, were seated comfortably, we ordered (Halwa Puri, Chanis, Aloo Parathas (best) Plain Parathas Tea(chai) chicken tikka. everything was good, the restaurant, employees, and restrooms were all clean. The owner was very humble and caring for his customers.

2022-05-23Had Been There So Many Times, Their Food Taste Delicious Like Always Especially *Haleem* Is Always My Favorite. My Concern With Asian (Pakistani) Dine in Areas Is Always The Same. Floor Was Sticky & Chairs Were Oily. Come On Guys, I Never Had That Feeling While Dinning In Pakistan .....

2020-08-26I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because they earned it. Budget friendly super scrumptious food. I keep going back to that place because they know how to keep customers loyal. Quality and taste definitely.
