My service advisor was Joseph Patanio and had a 10:30 PM drop off vehicle appointment at Hillside Honda Service located at 139-07 Hillside Ave. I patiently wait for my name to be called to complete the paperwork and noticed I wasn’t being called up. 3 customers that came after me was seen by Mr. Patanio; at this point it is around 11:20 AM, mind you the appointment was at 10:30 and it literally takes 5 mins to do paperwork before leaving. I finally had enough and go up to the front desk and speak with Mr. Patanio and after a small discussion, turns out he lost the ticket for my paperwork and I was essentially waiting for nothing. Mr. Patanio was nice and apologetic and did offer to honor a $20 coupon that otherwise wouldn’t be applied, but this is unprofessional and untimely of Honda and Hillside Honda Service in general.
My sister-in-law took her car and the service advisor by the name of Joseph Patanio was very unprofessional. I dropped off my car on Monday for an main seal, throttle body cleaning, fuel injector cleaning, replace o ring. Monday I was told what was needed to be done, Tuesday I received a call and was told the price that it would be to get the three most important things done and was told by Thursday my car should be done. Called on Wednesday to get an update and asked Mr.Potanio to return my call and he never did. Thursday I called again and finally spoke to Potanio who then said Friday I would have my car. Friday came I called to find out what time I should pick up car and was told it wouldn’t be ready because my stabilizer links were so rusted they took awhile to remove. As we were speaking he then told me Saturday morning I should take an Uber for one more day and I should thank the person who fixed my car. I picked up my car and was told to never bring my car back there again. At that point I told him I would never bring it back and I will go on Social media and let everyone know not to bring their cars to that Hillside Honda.
Date: 06/08/2021I took my Honda Pilot 2012 EX-L to Hillside Honda service for 2 things,1. Gas gauge that was previously worked on. 2. Check engine light.The technician service clerk told me that #1 problem is taking care of and for #2 my Knox sensor was chewed out by Rodents, obviously my 3rd party warranty wouldnt pay for it, but I would still try. The outcome result was, it was declined. Afterwards I wanted to have 2nd and third opinion they also said it is the Knox sensor, but there was no damage shown that Knox sensor was chewed by Rodents, it has something to do with the sub sensorSo, I have told them to call my warranty service, but they have denied the repair due to what was recorded the first time by the Hillside Honda service. So, I called Hillside Honda, explained what happened. The service agent asked me, did I resolve the issue? I said no then he said why dont you bring the car I will show you at no cost. So, I went in and waited for one hour then my car was brought in to the Garage.The actual mechanic said to me, I have to open actual manifold to show you there is a cost involved $140 which is already paid the first time why again?The service tech told me no cost.They didnt have any logical answer to that but a nonsensical argument.I left with nothing. I dont know what happened to the moral. Its not there. This matter still costing me a lot due to the wrong statement was made to the warranty company because they couldnt delete what they have recorded the first time by the Hillside Honda tech. It was wrong verified by 3 other technicians. (I also have the receipt from Hillside Honda service tech that no charge to show me the damage by Rodent.)
I brought in my car for a service of a broken shift knob and software update that were on recall for a 2017 CRV. My car runs perfectly fine. After the service, I could shut down the engine but not the power of the car. I called back Honda service immediately and they asked me to drive it back. They inspected the car and said that there was some gooey stuff underneath the shift stick which connected to some circuit. They suspected that I spilled soda or coffee at the stick which I had never done it. They offered to fix it for free, however, they did not have that part in stock which I had to bring it back next time. In the meanwhile, they showed me to wiggle the stick to shut off the power. In between the appointments, I realized that my remote starter stopped working. Again, my car was perfectly fine before the Honda service. I did not call them immediately because i figured that my appointment was coming in a few days. When I brought it in for the shifter and I brought up the remote starter issue, the staff said that i would have to pay $149 just to check it. I argued that I did not have that issue before I brought my car in for service. They did not budge and I needed to pay to have it check.I have learned my lesson to not bring my car to dealership service center even for recalls if not necessary because they would or might break something to get your money in another way. The last 3 years, I mainly go to my trusty mechanic... I figured that I would get a broken shift knob replacement for free... at the end, some other thing might break.
THIS BUSINESS IS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS!! The customer service is terrible, turn around time for simple repairs takes weeks. The staff and especially MANAGEMENT are unprofessional, incompetent and unaccommodating!! I brought my car in after an accident in the beginning of AUGUST! My car is still not fixed. I have had to return to the shop over 10 TIMES!!!! They do not do quality work, they misdiagnose car issues, they missed initial damage which caused more damage to my car. And this process has cost me almost $1,000 of dollars even after my insurance paid out the original $6,000. Ive had to take time off, pay for rentals, ubers, etc. GET YOUR CAR REPAIRED SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!
Im usually not a fan of giving businesses a negative review as I understand the value that they provide for the community in terms of employment and economic activity. However, this dealership has pushed me to my limits. Of the the last two times that Ive been there, snack wraps were left inside, and bird feces all over the hood, despite giving them a clean car. Beware of the recommended repairs as they are pure lies, and I can assure the mechanic didnt even bother checking/inspecting. I was told I needed an engine filter, despite changing it less than a month ago. I was told that I needed new brakes pads and rotors, but after consulting with another mechanic, this is a just a quick scam to get your money. My suggestion is, before giving them your money consult with another mechanic and get a second opinion as it can save you substantial amount of money.
Noel was very pleasant and treated us as family. He went above and beyond for us.We came in to get information about leasing and came out with a brand new car. Wait time is long, but its worth the wait. They treat every customer that goes in like family. God bless them always.
I tried calling today to make a service appointment since I couldnt find what I needed on the website and the representative was so rude. She sounded like an annoyed older lady that would say hello and once you say hello back she switches you off and places you back on hold. This happened 4 times till I just hung up. I made an appointment at a Honda Service Center in Long Island. Quickly.
Please do not go here. Unprofessional people. I took my car for checking some noise issue as my car is under warranty after keeping it for two days they could not find the issue. When they were returning my car we noticed that the sunroof was open when we tried to close it. It did not when speaking to the manager he said it was open but when it started raining we tried to close so it did not. This is not our issue. Instead of arguing I requested that the parts be bought and I will pay but fix it as we cannot leave it open they said they don’t have the parts to come back. They made and appointment after 15 days to fix it. I left my car and requested them to fix it. They kept the car but did not have the guy to fix it so kept it for two days but still did not touch my car. My job is with my car I have two days loss of pay. If you call their customer service complain the corporate office just keeps the phone on your face saying they are not Honda dealership they are third party and We cannot do anything.
“Mike Doesn’t Deserve As A Customer Service Agent”I’m a regular client of Honda and usually go for my car maintenance at Paragon Honda. But this time I didn’t get any earlier appointment so I decided to go at Hillside Honda Service.... And that’s my biggest mistake of my life.The Guy who tale care me, His name is Mike. He has very LOWER CLASS customer service. He say something and at the end charge you money for doing nothing.
I went to this place for purchase part for my Honda. The worst part is about the cashier lady just terrible. When I went to her window to paid my invoice ,she was not even look at me, and she was watching a movie in her IPad!!!!!! I said”hello good morning “to her and she was like not listening. When she used my card to pay her eyes was still looked at her ipad in the movie. It is was just terrible. I have no idea how can she get this cashier job. Terrible customer service ever!!!!! I never seen any cashier can watch movie on iPad when they working, terrible!
I came in for a seat railing replacement they made a mistake and replaced some pressure sensor scratched up the outside of my vehicle and some deep scratches on the hard plastic inside also misplaced some plastic panel and somehow messed up the srs airbag system , and all I came is for was a seat railing was suppose to get the car the same day after 3 days after me calling them everyday they said it was ready and I came in got the car and saw all this mess. They didnt even give me a loaner.
Hold your wallet if they can they can take money out of ur pocket. They just there to make sure u pay extra. If u are leasing a car from them make sure to read terms. You have pay 2195$ when u wan to keep the car time of leasing nothing here is ur purchase value. So I wan want to purchase at the end of lease all I have pay is this amount? Yes. But when u ready after year o u have pay us to check ur car if is good for u how? $2195. Beware of good looking suit its coming from ur money.
Been here multiple times and often if not every time the wait time is usually an hour and half to 2 hours! Not sure if they always overbook or just dont have enough staff to accommodate all the appointments they schedule. Customers should expect to get their vehicles back in a timely fashion especially if they check in early for their appointment. I’ve seen multiple people leave before me and they checked in after me. My appointment was for an oil change.. 2 hours and still waiting. I come here because of the convenience of having them right around my house but seems like i’d rather go to a different place and actually be serviced in a timely fashion.
So I dropped my vehicle off to them and somehow my veh was being used, I understand test drives but that was a lot of trips and even for a very long time. I have a device that calculates and tracks down all my trips and for some reason my vehicle was used all day, even at 5 am. I called to ask about this and never got a call back from Henry. Also, spoke to a Brittany and she was very rude.
I brought my car to this location at 7am yesterday, and I’m still waiting for a phone call, and if you call they put you in hold and then, they hung off on you without say even one word. Your money and your business it is value, do not take your value to this place. Take your car to another dealer or mechanic.
Horrible experience with mike donkharam he was very rude. He told me that my car had an oil change and it was never done. They charge me 401. Dollars for only a light bulb that was changed. When I told them they only wanted to refund the oil change that was never done. Today I went and mike told me that if I don’t like it I should go to another mechanic. Hillside Honda is a very large company and this is how the customers are treating and they lie about services that were not rendered. They only refunded 92 dollars from 401 dollars. I have disputed to my credit card for the rest of the charges Like the service guy mike said don’t go to hillside Honda and get a trustworthy mechanic. I know you trust Honda but they are thieves. Don’t go through what I just did. Save yourself hundreds of dollars from hungry money thieves!!!!!
Bought my certified pre-owned vehicle from HH 6 months ago. Thought I had a serious issue so I took it in for service. They thoroughly checked and inspected the vehicle, and said it was perfect and nothing to worry about. They did my genuine maintenance as well. They are kind, helpful, honest and operated with integrity. Im so pleased!!!
VERY BAD SERVICE. Please DO NOT go to the Hillside Honda service.The car was not fully fixed after keeping and promising it for a week, Also I got the wrong bill and waited 28 minutes to get the cashier lady to pay off.Ive had a front desk (wearing hat) person who was so rude and barely answered my question. Look for something better.
Asif Sultan was very helpful. He was polite and knowledgeable. He assisted with picking out our new car. He also came in on his day off to make it happen. I am very satisfied with his service and I will definitely recommend hillside Honda and refer them to Asif Sultan. 5 🌟 ⭐
I left my car at this dealership at nine in the morning, registration wait was unacceptable. Roaches at the reception desk. After receiving no follow up the entire day and calling to check I was given an excuse as to why my car had not been seen around 3:30 PM. Salesperson was unprofessional, and refused to give me his name. The service at this dealership is deplorable. No efforts made to correct any concerns I had. Will never come to this dealership for service again.
Very disappointed. While I usually have no problem with the service, the last time I was there, I got home to realize that my phone charger was gone. Someone stole my phone charger while they were working on my car. I attempted to call and there was no compassion given. I called to get in contact with the sales person I met with and he didnt return my call. I do not have the time to keep calling but left a message. No response.
As i write this review i am on hold for the forth time calling. Every time you call you stay on hold for thirty minutes. When they finally do pick up the phone they rush the phone call and hang up. I still have not been able to answer all of my questions. I went in to fix my car because the windshield wipers keep making a clicking sound. I went on 11/9/18. They said they would need to hold my car all day. I said it shouldnt take all day to check the windshield wipers. After two hours of waiting for my car because i refused to leave, i was told my car was fixed and i had to pay. After paying i went outside to my car and it was still making the clicking sound. They fixed nothing in my car and still charged me. I went back in and had them look at my car. They apologized and said they would have to order a part and they would give me a refund me. The part took a week to order and when the part finally came i had to make an appointment. It turns out they only put parts in cars Monday thru Thursday 9am to 5pm so anyone with a traditional 9 to 5 would have to take off of work and leave the car at Honda all day. I AM STILL ON HOLD AND IT HAS BEEN 32 MINS. So basically i cant make an appointment because all the appointments seem to be booked for the whole week. I would just like to fix my windshield wipers. I was also told they part is only kept in the shop for two week so by the time i get an appointment i am assuming my part will no longer be available.
They did not properly screw back on the oil pan for an oil change and while I was driving it cane off and started scraping on the street. Mind you I also had to wait almost 2 hrs just for an oil change and the next day I came back so they can fix a horrible job of theirs it took 1 hour just to screw an oil pan back onto the car.
The dealer (not the Service Center) didnt keep their promise to give out the all season floor mats as their deal that I gave 5 stars to all the Honda survey questions. Three months later after I tried to complain to the general manager with countless visits to the dealer finally they gave me the floor mats for my new Honda.
I spend $1100 dollar to fixed the check engine light. They do all the possible work to fixed the check engine light and the service guy didn’t explain me that I have 1 year or 12000 mileage warranty for the work I have done. Well the next day the check engine light come back again and I took it to them and they keep my car for 2 days and finally they come up with answer that I have to change the gas station. Lol. But it’s clearly showing the code which is P0172 code which might cause vacuum leak or o2 sensor or MAAF sensor problem or something else. But they didn’t check all those thing. Seriously change the gas station????
I have a brand new 2020 Accord. It needed 3 jumpstarts so far and my infotainments system shut off twice! Took it to Hillside Honda and the lady in the service dept told me the car needs to get used to the weather. Apparently Honda is making babies that need sweaters, instead of cars. Ridiculous answer!!! I wonder if these people get paid extra to give bull answers to customers. Instead of figuring out what the issues are they beat around the bush and give excuses.
How can one wait for over an hour in line just to check in their car. Unbelievable had to even block the road making it hard for people to pass through. Service was done as promised by 5 pm but they need another person working at check in for service. Need to value customers time.
I would have to agree with the previous sentiment. yesterday I had an appointment at 2:30 I arrived on time and ended up leaving at 4:20 almost 2 hours later for an oil change and for them to check my tire pressure because the light was on-- which I called out ! When I left, my tire pressure light was still ON and they didnt even change the service sticker. When I asked the frontline rep why it took so long for an oil change when a room full of inspections and recall appointments whom arrived after me cleared a fill waiting room before me...and I had an appointment ....he was very apologetic in his response (if anything he was defensive).
This place has some horrible sales people and even worst prices. They literally charge insane. Smh their sales people at the express service are so lazy and don’t see to do their job correctly. I purchased my Honda back in 2011, certified used from Hillside Honda. Ive never really had problems with my vehicle, even moved out of state, and came back. While living out of state, I had my Honda serviced at Honda service with no problems. But Hillside Honda service is a different kind of service provider. Rule number one in customer service is to find a mutual solution to your customers problem, especially when all the problem arises because of the provider. The customer service experience was so bad, that I literally will never buy another Honda in order to not be met with such incompetent individuals. I dont care how great the sales team may be, not if this type of service is apart of the package deal.I purchased a battery from Honda of Valley Stream on 10/3/16. The battery is now bad, but still under warranty. I went online to make an appointment at Hillside Honda because its near my house, and close to work. After booking, I received a call a couple days later asking for my Vin number, and if Im dropping off the vehicle or staying with it. I stated Im leaving it, and I already did this online. (I have the email confirmation to prove it) I was told I booked at an express location. I didnt, but whatever. I declined the appointment as I really wished to drop it off, and pick it up after work. After some thought, I called back to schedule the service, and spoke to the same lady. I even gave her my Vin number as I did not have it the first time. I explained that this is just a warranty replacement for a battery. She asked did I have the paperwork, I told no. She said they MAY have to call,and confirm. I said no problem, as its on file over there.Morning of appointment, I arrive only to not have my Vin number that I gave on Friday not on file. (Im also scheduled for an oil change that I did not ask for.) Two, they could not see the car because I did not have the paperwork.( even though I was told, they MAY have to call over to confirm) All I could get was an Im sorry, yeah that is unacceptable. Ive never been to any service provider that did not offer a solution, or at least try for causing an inconvenience, and error. My vehicle is almost at 100,000 miles, so I planned on getting the maintenance that would be needed today as well. (But they didnt know that part, wonder if they knew I was shelling out money, would they have attempted to do something to resolve the issue) Id rather deal with pep boys, auto zone, Mavis..hell if Toyota will service my car, Id go to them. The reviews Honda has compared to Toyota speaks for itself. I have never been so disappointed with Honda until this experience. I would have been better off with a battery under warranty from Pep Boys or Auto Zone.Hillside Honda service, get it together for your future customers. You have way to many dissatisfied customers. There’s absolutely no reason or excuse that an individual should be continually placed on hold for over 20 minutes when calling the service department ,especially when i only want to inquire about the price of getting NY inspection done on my honda, that would probably take 5 seconds to answer. Honda you need to remember the experience customers receive determines if they buy from you in the future. #badservicemeansmynextcarwontbehonda
I got my honda pilot 2015 at hillside honda and I been taking my car for service here, everytime I take it here gives me a headache. Once I took my car to get the NY inspection done, I knew that my left brake light was not working and It had to be changed, they said the same thing and I asked them to change it, when I got my car back and I went home I was stopped by a police because my brake light wasnt working ( the same bulb they change). Now I took my car for service again and I was told it was going to be ready the next day, I called the next day and was put on hold all day long, the next day, I am calling them and the same thing is happening. IF YOU CAN, JUST AVOID THIS PLACE.
Had a problem with steering they said I needed to replace a part that they sold me clock spring I installed it but it was under warranty when I took car to have codes removed air bags Trac control they charged 800 plus 100 for part I originally purchased when it should have been done from the beginning under warranty not mad at mechanics they do great work mad at staff running place they should have saw warranty when I gave Vin number for part like they found info when I went back for codes to be removed should not take advantage of there customers as for the mechanic that fixed problem he did a great job
Loaded with incompetence. Everytime I went there was always an issue they were having. This last time they damaged my car when I went in for a simple inspection and didn’t want to responsible for fixing it. I will not be going back and suggest anyone go else. You pay more and get just headaches for it
I have been on hold for over hours I ordered a part through the phone then they put me on old I was waiting and waiting then they hang up on me so I call again and again because they kept hanging up when I finally got someone she was trying to put me on hold again and I’m here saying I’ve been waiting then she has the guts to say maybe if you don’t hang up when they are the ones hanging up on me terrible service just through the phone imagine in person
I have a recall on my car and i called and a girl put me on hold for more than 10 min so i hung up the phone .i called again after an hr ,then they put me on hold for 5 min ,then this girl comes on line and she has the attitude that i owe her some money.This is so unprofessional and disrespectful and the corporate should look into this matters as they will lose customers .Shame on u .

When online it is already explained how much you are going to pay ...Then I focused on the movement inside the place and I realized where my car was, even though I left the wheel lock on the console so that they would make the rotation for which I paid 20.00 more tax, to the tires ... THEY DIDN T!I spoke with a supposed mananger Robert and (Leandro was the one who changed the oil and after I made them return the vehicle he began to make noises of an animal, obviously uncomfortable because of the situation I put them through) I told him what was happening it just filled up of excuses ... if you have no choice but to go to this place !!!! Be very careful ... I do not see it fair to pay for a service that they make you believe they do ... I have proof of everything ... !!I see the good reviews of other people only write that they come and go in less than half an hour .... I am really helpless. An electric door was repaired three times. The three times add up to more than half a month and it hasnt been repaired yet. Just go to another place and change a part. It can only be said that the maintenance staff here just mix time and money, and dont give you a good repair at all. I really dont want to give a star

Showed great concern for customer. All staff were very nice and helpful as well. First time I experienced such great service at a dealer. Very happy, keep up the good work.

2022-04-27The only Honda express service center I trust. They are upfront and dont push you purchase additional services. Quick and courteous service. Only draw back is lining up prior to them opening which is on a heavy traffic road.

2022-04-18Today I went to have my car checked at the service center, and I also have Service Warranty, but they still charged me $153 just for checking my car. So if I have a warranty, why would they still charge me for the car? These people are not honest people, and are scamming people. Many times I’ve heard from others that Hillside Honda is a trap and they scam you. So take my advice: don’t go here. The people there are corrupted and dishonest, and they’re just waiting for you to go there so they can rob you of your money.

2021-05-30By far the worst place I’ve been too. I took my 2017 cr-v here for its 55000 milestone Maintenance and the sales guys ask me what’s wrong with the car I tell them to check what the car needs and they Tell me if I don’t know what problems it has then they can’t check it out for free. To inspect every single part is $140 each. And that does not go towards the repair. No one in there right mind would pay $140 to inspect each part on there car. I know my brakes needed to be replaced and a oil changed also. I proceeded with that. 3 days later my alternator went out. It’s insane these people are going to mess your car up on Purpose for you to comeBack and pay more. I’ve asked around people who been to this place and they have experience the same thing as me horrible stories of this place. Please save your money and don’t go here !!

2021-08-11My 2019 Honda Civic would not turn on one day. I contacted Honda Roadside assistance and it was dropped off at Hillside service center. Turns out i had a dead battery and a fuel pump recall which was preventing my car from starting.Henry was very kind and attentive from the beginning and also called and texted me with updates throughout my entire service period which I highly appreciated.When my car was ready for pickup, it turns out that my car was leaking gas from underneath when they switched out my fuel pump and I had to leave it for one more day. But again, Henry kept me updated and assured me everything was taken care of when I finally was able to pick up my car. Thank you!

2021-07-07Had my 2018 Honda Civic lease for 3 years.. Was my dream car for so long, I got it and it has been nothing but problems.. From me having to repair tires every year to the AC continuously going out and being told I have no AC problem.. Then you call to schedule an appointment and being told there’s nothing available until the end of the months.. Finally when you get your car in service it’s being held all day for something that can be done within one hour.. You call and try to explain your issue and they make it seem as if something is your fault.. I almost went all summer last year with no AC because they didn’t have appointments available, then when I got it recharged it would stop working again.. WORST EXPERIENCE WITH CAR AND SERVICE! Not even sure if I want another Honda.
