Im so disappointed, just arrived home and my order is missing one muffin. If the special is buy one get one, I should have an even number of muffins. Not worth the trouble,
This place is great! From simple two not so simple egg sandwiches, made to order, to the Savory treats that will last you from lunch to dinner - plus all the sweet treats and bars oh, there is something for everybody here. Eat in or take out. Custom orders too.-- I just came back (I moved) to get my Rainbow Veggie Sandwich- my friend got the Little Neck on Foccaccia- amazing as usual!
This place is fantastic. People come from far to try their great food. They have pies for dessert and pies for dinner, muffins, scones and cookies. All are the richest and tastiest ever. My highest recommendation.
I love this little place! Their food is delicious and they have fun pies to take to a friends house. I love the pulled pork sandwich. Everything I have had was very good. So happy to have this place in the neighborhood.

I love this Bake Shop and go often to buy their pies and also have lunch there. BUT a Big But.....I decided to order their Italian Easter Pie, well what a disappointment, it was just salty, there was no ricotta cheese which is what makes it an Italian Easter pie and I was so disappointed I threw it in the garbage. That was the only place it belongs.This made me sad believe you I wanted it to be great like all the others. Lesson learn....never again waste my money that way.....
Gourmet bakery with gourmet prices. They have a very homely atmosphere and selection (particularly their muffins). Prices are high, most things are $3+, but so is the quality. They also offer sandwiches and more specialized items like multigrain rolls filled with baked cheese and spinach. There are also discounted items from the previous day which I personally feel are worth it as they still taste delicious. Very nice employees too!
Wonderful bakery with a friendly, helpful staff. My grilled cheese was sinfully good. The pies and pastries look delicious and like theyve been made with love. This place is a wonderful hidden gem. Highly recommended!
Love this place! Amazing baked goods, and great prepared foods. The breakfast sandwiches are worth getting up early for! My girlfriend and I are obsessed with the key lime pie. Great options for those with gluten sensitivity or nut allergies.
This place has some of the best gluten free baked goods I’ve tried, which is crazy cause they’re not a gluten free specialty place! The gluten free muffins are super good and my family loves their regular-gluten things as well lol, and the staff here is always super friendly and helpful!
Cute little shop for breakfast and pastries. Friendly staff, decently priced and very clean on the inside! They even had a basket of free gently used items that you can take which was pretty cool! Offers a lot of cool breakfast options that are not available in other places. The Bagel bomb was amazing!

Best chicken pot pie I have ever had. The muffins and scones are tasty but dense and heavy. Overall one the best bakeries in the area due to the great variety of savory and sweet concoctions.
What a great spot, went with some friends who are regulars, egg sandwich on a biscuit is a game changer, then I grabbed up a chicken pot pie and a short rib pie for dinner, holy cow, were they good, no no, they weren’t good they were awesome. Highly recommend.this place is a must!

Im getting around to reviewing a few places from last yer...during the covid shutdown....found this little gem while visiting the Vanderbilt Mansion last year.. I was getting Hangry, and stopped here on a whim, as Im vegan and cannot eat every place..The owner was on the register and she couldnt have been more accommodating....I told her I was vegan, She talked to the kitchen help and they came up with a bowl for me with quinoa, veggies , beans and avocados. It was delicious. And much appreciated. This is a true example of great customer service. I have been back many times and looking forward to this year when I can eat here again. Thank you and you should really consider putting a few things on your menu that are vegan specific..if you build it they will come. Look at your neighbors the purple elephant right up the road, they are always busy!Thank again

Simply...OMG...I purchased their pies from the Rockville Centre Farmers’ Market. Truly incredible and by far the best pies on Long Island - savoury or sweet. You HAVE to buy them and you won’t be disappointed. I also purchased one of their strawberry scones. Even as an Englishman I have to say this was the best scone I have ever tasted!!
Amazing! Took my son here for breakfast and we were blown away what a clean and beautiful shop! Kind and patient service! We loved the food and took home a brownie (also amazing) and a birthday scone! This will be our top weekend spot for sure❤️ Craving a breakfast biscuit sandwich 🤤
Unparalleled, literally. Really unique sweets and treats, and the bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit I had was like no other. Bacon was perfectly cooked, biscuit was fresh, eggs were soft, and they didnt over-do any one part of it. The seating and kind staff were just a nice plus. Drove a half hour to get here and Im happy to keep doing that! 10/10, highly recommended.

This was the most incredible food experience I’ve had in my LIFE! The bacon egg and cheese bomb is like drugs. I live 40 minutes away and will make the trip to come back. The owners of this joint deserve to be sitting on a private island drinking expensive champagne cause they are winning at life. Take my recommendation and go!
My Sons girlfriend lives nearby, & we came in to pick up some pastries. 🍩🍰 While there , and looking behind the glass at the offerings, I wanted to taste everything!!!Went for a french toast bomb heated up, wasnt too sweet - just right, filled with cream cheese. So yummy..and then ordered a custom sandwich - on a *biscuit* that looks like english muffins but is not!You can sit and drink coffee and while you grab a bite..my son had his usual ..the place is very comfortable & casual🍩🍰. . Everything was very VERY good- will have to return to explore more! . Their staff was really nice giving info what they have to offer. Highly recommend their bakery GOODINESS!!! 🍩🍰
Great spot in Centerport for a delicious egg sandwich and pastry options. The staff is beyond helpful going over all the goods they have for sale. Custom made sandwiches are a plus here. I had an egg white, turkey bacon, avocado and Swiss cheese sandwich which was packed with flavor and made promptly. Also the maple scone is a must.
OK. It took me long enough to get to Hometown and it still confuses me how such a great deal is so amazing, high quality, close to home, and inexpensive.You have to get a sandwich on a biscuit before they run out, which happens often. The create-your-own sandwiches have endless combinations of mouthwatering options. Great place to meet up with friends and eat in a booth together, taking (sneaking?) bites of each others concoctions.I dont think Ive ever left after stuffing my face with a generous portion of egg sandwich without needing to also get a pastry, brownie, blondie, pie, etc. Out of this world. Its a great place to come to grab a dessert for a party/get together.Coffee is great.Prices are unreal.Food is phenomenal.Now I want to go back in a bad way and I dont live in Northport anymore. Note to self: go next weekend.
Absolutely lights out. Scones and muffins are the best on Long Island, and maybe just flat out the best I’ve ever had. Savory pies, bagel bombs, baked breakfast biscuits, doughnuts and sandwiches are all incredible. Only knock is that it’s not always easy to see what they have available.
Oh man what can i say about this amazing place. I wish it was closer to me. I travel 30 minutes to come here for their awesome baked goods. From bagel bombs to pies!!! They have both savory and sweet! I havent had one thing bad here yet. Im not a pecan pie fan usually but man I had it here and it was absolutely delicious!!! I cant wait to go back
Got an order to go on Sunday morning and it was delicious!!My boyfriend and I got breakfast sandwiches. Mine was a naan breakfast wrap and his an egg sandwich on focaccia bread. They were great! We also split a gluten free chocolate chip scone because I wanted to see how their gluten free stuff was and even my boyfriend who doesnt really do the gluten free thing loved it! Really cute little place and is good for a quick breakfast on the go or a sit down in the cafe.

Always a great place for any meal. My favorites: breakfast - maple scone, fried egg, gruyere, carmelized onions on an English muffin. Lunch - veggie sandwich; dinner - chicken cutlet and eggplant burrata, dessert - Buche de Noel and pecan pie. If you are visiting the area, you must come here. Closed on Mondays.
By far the best place to get amazing baked goods anywhere in the area. Also great coffee and breakfast is a major bonus. We got pies here for Thanksgiving. The crusts were better than homemade.
I found out about this business at the Northport Farmers Market. Going to the shop for the first time today was great! They have terrific coffee and then the most unique and awesome breakfast and lunch items along with muffins and more. I am happy to have found it. My new favorite place. Check it out!

Young girl working on Friday morning really knew how to kill a vibe. Didn’t allow a nano second for us to look at the pastries before asking “what do you want?” Had the hugest attitude and I was genuinely wondering why she hated us. Doesn’t seem to like her job or something or maybe just poor social queues maybe shouldn’t be working at the front counter xoxo

We found Hometown shortly after we moved to Centerport, and weve been regulars ever since. The variety and quality of the baked goods is unparalleled. Some of our out-of-town family members come to visit Hometown first, and us second.

Hometown Bake Shop is an ABSOLUTE GEM!!!!!! I simply cannot say how fortunate we are to have such an AMAZING little bakery right in our neighborhood here in Centerport. Everything they make is on ANOTHER LEVEL! The sweets: DECADENT and INCREDIBLE! Their breakfast and lunch sandwiches: AWESOME! Coffee: REALLY GREAT! But the savory pies are what absolutely KNOCKS EVERYONES SOCKS OFF! There are too many to name and every one Ive tried is HEAVENLY! Whenever we serve them to company, the raving doesnt stop (for months!) Id like to keep Hometown Bake Shop a local secret, but when a business exists thats THIS GOOD at what they do, they deserve to thrive! Stop by! You will be HAPPY you did!

2021-08-28Ok the apple cider jelly muffin was a-ma-zing! So moist, so flavorful... I wish I had a bigger stomach so I can eat more of them. But mind you, it is sweet.The birthday cake scone was good but the muffin outshined it. The sandwich was... I should have followed my instincts instead of the recommendation. Every individual part was so good. The egg and cheese would have been great on the cheddar scone. The cheddar scone was great. But pulled pork is so super sweet that it probably shouldnt have gone on a breakfast sandwich. But again, all the elements were good just would have wanted to do that differently.This is more of a breakfast spot and while it was easy enough to work there, there were no outlets if you actually wanted to work here.

2022-07-09Super friendly staff and so many choices. Had a chocolate cream donut and the tomato pesto bagel bomb. Probably the best donut I have ever eaten. Bagel bomb was light and fluffy and tasted amazing as well.

2021-12-14We love almost everything we’ve had. Bagel bombs, lemon bars, most sandwiches (love the rainbow veggie but it gets soggy quickly), soups are very good, but the brisket is excellent! The challah (I’ve only seen it once) is to die for. Nut bars are sweet but fabulous. Had a few of the savory pies and all have been good. Service is always great. A really nice local place for those lucky enough to live here.

2018-01-20This place is AMAZING and well priced. Everything here is delicious. I especially LOVE the Chicken Pot Pie and have to get it whenever Im very hungry. Their cranberry scones are also one of my favorites. And very underrated is that they sell Joes Tea in every flavor, which is some of the best iced tea Ive ever had. You will never go hungry or be disappointed by coming here.

2017-08-28Gluten free birthday cake! With rainbow sprinkles! And cream cheese frosting. I am still drooling over this cake. It beat any gluten free cake Ive had and was great for the celebration. A bit sweet but was perfect for the special occasion. Hope to try their other goodies soon!!!!!

2018-01-21Sandwich was fresh and full of flavor. We also ordered a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting that was one of the best I’ve had, not heavy, fluffy, just the right amount of sweet-wish I took a photo. This will be our “go to” cake shop. Also the service was friendly.
