Previous unethical renting practices. Was reported to the Attorney General and ordered to cease and desist practice. Please see attached photo for proof. Then recently seen same person in management post on a local apartment page and harass everyone that wasn’t happy and willing to blindly rent from complex and then again me when I mentioned what happened once the same person of management tried to prove the illegal practices ethical. Then all the unhappy comments got deleted and those people blocked from commenting. Just trying to educate the public on NYS rental laws. I’m sure if you have any issues if you actually rent you won’t be greeted warmly. Thankfully I ended up not signing a lease.

We found the leasing agents direct contact info on their Hudson View Apartments website. We contacted Roslyn who returned our call quickly. She explained the rental application process which went smooth & quick. We dropped off the application & all required info on a Saturday morning. Upon arriving we took in the scenery which is beautiful & clean, not dirty & disgusting like the Bronx. By Monday morning Roslyn called with the approval. Born and raised in the Bronx, never had a process so smooth & fast before. All these landlords in the Bronx make the process of renting an apartment so hard & so long which to us is really unnecessary. We like to thank the staff of Hudson View Apartments for their courtesy and great assistance for answering all of our questions. We have also recommended this place to friends & family.

We moved to Hudson View Park from NYC over 7 years ago and found this gem of a community — beautiful Hudson Valley setting; manicured and well-maintained property; safe, peaceful and diverse community; wonderful, respectful neighbors; responsive, caring management; pleasant and professional staff that goes the extra mile to address concerns. We feel very fortunate to call HVP home.

I lived here for 3 years (2016-2019) in a one bedroom apartment which was renovated before I moved in. The apartment was nice and I never had any major maintenance issues. The leasing office was always kind and professional. I never had any issues communicating with the office. The buildings are somewhat old (I would imagine 1970s ?) and floors are very creaky, especially in winter. Walls are somewhat thin and it was common to hear my neighbors muffled phone conversations and TV. Overall it was tolerable.I was displaced from my apartment after a shooting/arson incident which damaged my building in early 2019. The management did not do a proper job of vetting/background checking all occupants of their buildings. Also, buildings which share a common stairwell for multiple apartments (like mine) are not secured from the street. Only your apartment door can be locked, not the door to the building itself. This allowed an unknown person to enter into my building and set a fire in the stairwell.Over my 3 years here, other police activity was minimal. I cant recall any other incidents.Following this incident, the leasing office was very helpful in quickly returning my full deposit, and paid for the cleanup crew to dispose of my damaged furniture from the apartment.Overall, this wasnt a bad place to live. The incident that displaced me from apartment truly felt like a one-off event that was unprecedented for this community. However, the management needs to improve their security processes moving forward.

If I could give them a zero I would. The management is relative to slum-lord tendencies. The appliances like the hot water heater went out every other week. The apartment took over a week to respond to no hot water each time and refused to deduct rent due when they did nothing about a lack of my utilities promised by contract. They are unreasonable and belligerent when confronted. 0/10 stars.

Management is terrible. Moving out based on unsafe conditions and the landlord is requesting 4 months rent to leave even though there is weed being smoked downstairs, there are fights every night, police have visited regularly, and the landlord still is asking us to provide them with 60 day notice to leave and 4 months rent. This place is a joke I’ve never seen anything like it please do yourself a favor and DO NOT live here.

The management company (Hudson Highland Properties) lacks communication - with tenants and internally. If you have a concern or a question, expect to receive 1+ voicemails and have to follow up. Or they may even not call you and share your information with someone they think is you - privacy invasion.

ProsIve lived here for over 2 years now. The neighborhood is nice, quiet and most if not everyone is friendly.Maintenance is fast, reliable and trustworthy.Staff is friendly.Rent is fair especially compared to the beautiful aesthetic of the community.YOU DONT PAY FOR HEAT OR HOT WATER!! Stoves are gas so +++ there.Parking is abundant in most units.Bathrooms are fairly new, decent tiling new/clean showers, kitchens are decent as well.ConsMy biggest gripe is the flooring. I live in a basement apartment under a single female who cant weigh more than 110lbs; it sounds like shes a 400lb man when she walks. She has a cat that sounds like a heard of elephants when it plays. I dont blame her because its clearly the old flooring and worn out carpeting. In my opinion, it is not worth it to take an upgraded unit. Youll be paying an extra couple of hundred bucks a month for a microwave and nice tiling in the kitchen. The most unattractive part of these apartments are the ugly-outdated base boards, the outdated in wall air conditioners and the 1980s looking vestibule for each building. Id gladly pay a few hundred extra if they renovated the units and individual apartments...OVERALL:This place is awesome for commuters to NYC. It takes me 5 minutes (with lights and traffic) to get to the station. The neighborhood is quiet, people are friendly and rent is relatively cheap.

Very rude receptionist (Diane I think she said) I called to ask about apartments and the process and she was in such a rush to get off the phone. The people at neighboring complexes were soooo much nicer. Not even going to waste my time or money with someone like that.

They are now requiring you to use paylease or they charge you an extra $10.00 to write a personal check. They also have not returned the signed copy of my lease renewal.
