I had been craving dumplings for weeks and decided to try Ichiz with my husband after finding it online. So glad we did because the food was outstanding. We ordered the Gung Bao dumplings, French Onion Soup dumplings, Japanese Shishito Peppers, Spicy Salmon Fried Rice and Black Dragon Roll. We cleaned every plate. If I weren’t pregnant, I would have loved to try some of the raw menu options. We’ll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.
Great for dinner and drinks before a night out! Always accommodated to large parties, and everyone loves dumplings!! They have a different kind (of dumpling) for all types!
Decent food, but overpriced for what you get. Fusion-y dumplings (French onion soup, Kung Pao chicken, mushroom risotto) are 14.50 USD for a plate of 5 pieces. Mightve been worth it if they were absolutely spectacular, but alas.

Warm, inviting atmosphere with delicious food that is quite the unexpected gourmet treat. The chicken hot pot is like a cozy hug for your stomach and the dumplings come in flavors that surprise and delight the palate.
I read all the reviews and I have to say that something feels weird... I ate here more than 5 times in the last six months and wasnt satisfied EVERY TIME. the food is good, not exceptional but good. As a local restaurant Ill give them an 8 out of 10. But theres so much more than just the food when you go to a restaurant... slow service, always understaffed, always unprofessional service. Theyre nice but unprofessional: they never time the orders so someone at your party will end up getting his food after everybody else, they always make at least one mistake with your orders, it takes ages to get extra dressing/utensils/any other request. Again, theyre super nice and the food is good but the service is just something I cant ignore anymore. This was definitely my last time here.
I tried to place an order for take out and was hung up on by the man who answered the phone. He stated that they were to busy to take orders right now. I asked if I could sit at the bar to order and he hung up while I was asking my question. This is very unprofessional and not the way you treat customers.
My must try list:French Onion soup dumplings,Beef Hot PotSpicy Pork belly ramen,Spicy silken tofu (DELICIOUS get it with fried rice, and mix it, dont be afraid of the tofu, u wus)Mushroom or shrimp and edamame risotto,spicy or sauteed edamame,SPECIAL Ichiz tuna,Godzilla roll,kani salad , ( I reccommend eating this with a sushi roll but dont chose godzilla if you do that, because godzilla comes with kani already, aka why i love it)tuna cado salad.Ive never actually eaten anything that i didnt like from here and Ive eaten almost all of it, so go with your gut, go crazy, yoloc ya soon!

Food is good but the service is terrible. They serve little plates and they come out as ready. I watched everyone get two and three of their plates before I got one. It took close to two hours
French onion soup dumplings are my favorite but everything is so good!! Love living so close to this place! Favorite place in town.

2021-12-22This is a great spot for a date night out and Ill be so happy to return again. The food was so good we finished it before I remembered to take pictures! Theres a huge selection of dumplings - they are half moon shaped and served on a shallow dish with dipping sauce. We got the beef curry dumpling and artichoke spinach dumpling. Flavors were delicate and perfectly balanced, it tasted freshly made. We also got a seaweed salad, and a special sushi roll. I was most impressed by the dumplings, but everything was delicious.For dessert, also dumplings - poached pears in wine dumplings. Flavor and texture again was just right, not too sweet, and somehow both crispy/caramelized with soft dough. I would come back just for dessert and drinks too!

2018-04-19Love Ichiz!!! Interesting & delicious food & drinks, several different creative dumplings, extensive menu, modern decor and lively music. Great service. One of my favorite restaurants in Huntington. Theres a back entrance and patio too to the parking lot. Great date spot or a nice place to even go solo.

2018-03-23The name may sound Japanese but it is not. If you google search this place most websites listed this as Japanese or sushi restaurant. They do NOT serve sushi here. They have over 60 different overpriced dumplings on their menu with good alcohol selections. Its definitely interesting and some dumplings are very creative but nothing special. If you never been here before make sure you check their menu and pictures online before you go.

2021-12-28Food is great. Prices are outrageous. Service is an issue.We came here early on a Saturday and sat at the bar (3rd time weve been here). We ordered Mac and cheese dumpings (highly recommend), pork truffle dumplings (also recommend), french onion soup dumplings (amazing), and leek and egg dumpling (meh).All dumplings $14.50 for 4. As delicious as they were, thats a bit much considering restaurants around the area. To be fair, they probably have the most extensive dumpling menu around.Detracting from our nice quiet evening was the bar tender who was extremely nice to us but was constantly upset (cursing involved) about drink orders coming in while he was dealing with, seemingly, 20 other issues with the wait staff and who knows what else. It might be a case of cant find help but us being repeat guests, having similar experiences, Im not sure well be back.

2021-07-05I never make reviews on food yet I felt very compelled to make a review for this place. Previously I came here with a large group of friends and everything went amazing, from the food to the drinks to the atmosphere.Yesterday I came here to enjoy a bite with my boyfriend, and after raving about how amazing this place was I was met with disappointment and shame. I had ordered the coconut mango pineapple sangria and after taking one sip I did not like the beverage. As I told our server who also appeared to be the manager if I could change my drink he replied to me and said but is this not the drink you ordered?, to which I replied and said yes but I just dont like this-Im sorry.... He then instead of changing it out loud said to me in front of my boyfriend that I guess we can change this but were going to have to eat it.. Now this made me feel uncomfortable and I had ordered another drink to try, yet he came back with the same drink that I did not like and said that they ran out of the drink I wished to change to but felt that if they added more mango to the drink I didnt like it would change the way I would feel. After placing the drink down he proceeded to watch me drink it and wait for me to reply to which I faked how I felt because of his previous comment.In addition to this, we had placed two dumpling orders and had only been given one of the dumpling orders so when we reminded him of our order he just made a face at us and said oh we mustve forgotten it. Although we received all of our food eventually and the food was amazing, I do not think I will be returning here in the future as of now. If the manager/server perhaps learn the proper way to address their customers then I could see myself returning. However this experience has sadly left a poor taste in my mouth.

2021-01-22Our absolutely favorite place on the island! Outstanding food! Amazing cocktails! Chefs Tata and Ichi are so talented, they put love in their food, no doubts! Bartender Kevin is the best bartender on the planet! This place CARES what they put on table! I never ever had anything tasted even mediocre. Literally everything on the menu is amazing! And I’ve tried...probably everything at that point, I have been there close to a hundred times. Definitely pricier restaurant, but worth it!

2019-12-12Dumplings galore! Endless choices of dumplings with unique filling choices.Thought it was a little pricey but I think it just comes with the area. Watermelon Margarita was really good and the glass was huge and it was filled to the top which was cool, definitely will be back to try other items.

We arrived later in the evening on a Friday night, and was glad to see they still had some open tables as I have been wanting to try this place for the longest time., . Service was friendly and efficient, food came out fast! I enjoyed their hot tea and think we had 2 pots.**Went in for the infamous french onion soup dumplings, and boy did they deliver. The texture of these dumplings is very velvety, not sure how they make them quite so delicious! They are truly divine, and captured flavor and depth of one of my favorite soups. . Get an order all to yourself!!**Bang bang shrimp was excellent, more delicately fried, not greasy at all, with a nice light spicy flavor.and served with my favorite Shrimp Fried Rice..I am obsessed with SFR and love it with hot sauce & hot oil.**Especially delicous was their spicy crawfish dumplings...loved these! Great level of spice, excellent quality dumpling, and nice ratio of meat inside.** Sushi: My son & girlfriend enjoyed the Godzilla and Red Dragon rolls on a stick.All in all we enjoyed a great dinner.
