Stopped in for lunch while riding the Erie canal trail, the menu was limited because it was a Holiday, but the food was good. I would like to try some of their regular menu if I get the chance to go there again. If you are riding the trail this is a good place to stop as the trail is right next to their store front, and there are places to lock your bike up. The waitress was very Friendly and brought us lots of water to refill our bottles and packs. The only downside that stuck out was that its a cash only establishment, but they do have an ATM onsite, but if you would like to avoid fees come prepared.
The menu has the usual suspects, plus some unusual fare as well. There is a creative and talented someone in the kitchen producing some cool creations. A couple of examples are The Big Messy and Big Mikes Grill Cheese. The decor is definitely not a fern bar but we felt right at home and loved both the atmosphere and the food.Be aware that cards are not accepted so bring some folding money, but not too much as prices are very reasonable.
Great Burgers!!! Great Homemade salads!! Must have is the Popeye Soup!!! Jim is a character, that u must meet to get the full experience of this Irish Gin Mill!!!Love, Jim, Mary, Christina, Tina and the whole crew!!!This Pubdoes many events and is a fun fixture in Canajoharie!!!

2022-07-03Stopped in for a bite to eat on the way to Cherry Valley. One member of staff on, she was friendly and cooked up a storm, five lunches in no time. Good beer and burgers at a great price

2022-02-23Good Food, good atmosphere. Jimmy knows hisbusiness. Close roots to the Old Sod with His Mom, Mary. Shes a great and colorful Woman. They have always been benevolent and I am sure they still are. St Patricks Day is almost upon us, perfect time to go by and eat Corned Beef and Cabbage from a place that knows how to make it great

2020-09-28My wife and I had lunch here today. Our waitress, Brittina, was great. We both got hamburgers. I got the bacon and cheese and my wife got the mushroom and cheese. They were huge and delicious, very much home made. We both got the slaw side, which had broccoli and raisins in it and was also great. We ate outside since the weather allowed it and chatted, briefly with the owner, Jim. Wed go here again.

2018-05-04I just love this place. I worked here for a while with Jim and Mary and they always treated me well. The food is delicious and they do not take short cuts. Best corned beef dinner in the state. Large portions. Great lunch spot. Just bring cash! They dont accept cards!
