We went there for dinner, the host was kind enough to let us take a table we liked off to the side, our server Elizabeth was just THE SWEETEST ! She was very attentive and so kind. Our food was spectacular! Upon finishing my friend and I tried to go to another bar in town with no avail, so we came back to Jonathan’s and sat at the bar and joked around with Elizabeth, the host and bar tenders that we never should have left in the first place! The staff were amazing the food was great and the atmosphere was so relaxed. 5 stars would go again any time!
The best gnocchi Ive ever had! Service and atmosphere are wonderful.

The food was better a couple of years ago.This is one of the few restaurants were the staff does not wear masks. Im sympathetic to the staff, but a no mask policy does customers and staff a disservice.
What a restaurant. Dined there Christmas Eve and the service was superb. Sabastian at the bar was a gem. I am pregnant and cannot drink so he made me a mocktail without even asking. I loved it. Place is safe and food is great. So happy we went there and got to experience that on Christmas Eve.
We had a reservation tonight for the back patio at 7:30pm. The manager who greeted us at 725pm told us he accepted a wedding party and that our table would not be ready for 40-45 minutes in the back patio. So... we said okay we will sit in the front. There were 2 tables getting up. Both tables had 4-5 people on them and we were 4 people. He did “oh. So sorry. I am flipping those into 8 tops and then can’t give you those tables. At the the difference the day we waited an hour with a reservation. Yes we should have left but it is hard to get a table for 4 people outside on a Saturday night. I felt the customer service was sub par. I will never go back again. Horrible sub par overall experience.
So I ordered my food from johnathans and 15 mins later my door dasher arrived, when he got there he still had to wait 15 mins more! And he showed me proof!! Come on guys do better! It seems like this area of restaurants are late most of the times!
Excellent food! Veal chop was terrific. The waiter was friendly and had good recommendations. Only criticism is that he needed to visit the table more frequently. Drinks came to the table very slow. Overall good experience.Restaurant is quite busy but you can also eat at the bar.
Not a fan of dining out on holidays, but due to circumstances we had to. Jonathans was BEYOND AMAZING. Offered both a traditional Thanksgiving Menu AND a regular menu. Didnt jack up their prices. Service was EXCELLENT and food delicious. Highly recommend!!
Went there with 2 other couples our server Margaret (if I remember correctly) was great..,food was fantastic (double cut pork chop).. the manager that night (10/17)... Was also very nice I cant wait to go back
Just had my bridal shower at Jonathans and we had an amazing time! Never have I heard so many compliments and amazed reactions about the food at a party. We had beautiful menu options, the ambiance is intimate and tasteful, and the service staff was on top of everything from checking coats to keeping drinks and water filled. This old-world Italian eatery is such a perfect place for a memorable big life event or even a quiet date-night dinner out. Cannot recommend enough! Jonathans has been a staple in Huntington for so many years and they never waiver on quality of food, drink or service. Love this place!
Excellent service and food! waiter was very nice and food came out all within reasonable time. menu is diverse and has many options. the scallops with risotto did not dissapoint! my boyfriend had the duck which was great as well! would definitely go back
This was the most romantic anniversary dinner. The wait staff and management were very attentive. The mixed drink I ordered was so good💚 made with grapefruit,rose and sage. I loved the risotto and the Salmon was perfect!
Was there this past Sunday for a communion party. Pleasant decor, good service and great food. From appetizers through dessert, everything was delicious. I live on the South Shore, but I will definitely drive to the North Shore to have dinner there again.
Is there a sixth star for special occasions?? Jonathans took care of this little family of three on Thanksgiving, even without a reservation. We had a last minute change of plans and they graciously accommodated us. The entire staff treated us more like family than like customers. The cocktails were delicious and the food was incredible. I cant even come up with a fake complaint to be cheeky... We look forward to coming back soon.
Had our wedding reception lunch there Sat. 1/7/17. The meal was wonderful. Everything that we could have hoped for.The weather called for a little snow that day and we wound up having almost a foot! We were the only party in the restaurant and I believe they stayed open just for our celebration.We will always be grateful to the ownerand staff who made our special day truly memorable. Excellent Italian restaurant in the heart of Huntington village. Great service and cuisine. Extensive wine list. The food was exceptional. Cozy and inviting, a great place for a romantic evening or for a larger party as well.
This was our 4th time here in as many months.There is good reason we go back...delicious food, excellent wine list and terrific service! Alex and his team are very professional and make one feel welcome. They are constantly striving to invent or reinvent seasonal cocktails at the lively bar. Jonathans is one of the few consistently good restaurants in Huntington Village.
There was a live musician playing guitar. Between the live music and the fantastic staff, that was really an added bonus to accompany the delicious food, wine and desserts. We had an excellent time and really enjoyed ourselves here! I would definitely recommend checking this place out for yourself!

Always consistent. The owners of Jonathans know how to run a restaurant. We waited 15 minutes to be seated after our scheduled reservation and were compd a tasty appetizer for the table. Nothing elaborate but the recognition was appreciated.

Went here with my family, my brother has very severe food allergies. We notified the waitress, Rachel, of these allergies, and made clear that he could not have cheese on the burger or butter on the bun he ordered. She assured us the food would be okay. After waiting an hour for our food, the burger was delivered with cheese. We sent it back to the kitchen and she offered us pasta with butter to hold him over until the new burger would be ready. Again, he is allergic to dairy. We expressed our concern to her as she was not understanding the severity of his deadly food allergies. The manager Alex, who was nice and helpful from the beginning, stepped in and made sure my brothers food was made without contamination and let us know that he would give us dessert on the house, a very nice gesture. But our waitress again did not pay attention to us and we ended up waiting another 30 mins and decided not to order dessert as we had been sitting there for over 2 hours. The food was good, but the wait was extremely long, and it could have ended in a hospital becuase of their inability to understand and accommodate food allergies.

During our most recent visit to this superior restaurant my partner asked if a Dessert Special could be modified to her taste. Our Waiter got the Manager and Chef involved and they created a New Dessert, just for her.They did it with such humour and good grace that it made our night and Drunken Cherries Jubilee Paula was created.
My wife loves this restaurant. She loves the Pesto Artichokes and the Steak and Frites dinner. The management is wonderful. They have always been super accommodating. I like the ravioli and salmon.
Jonathans is a Huntington Gem! Stopped in with my husband for a Burger at bar and Polenta with Mushrooms. Excellent flavors. Jonathans usually has a polenta dish which is a nice tappas, or appetizer for the hearty eating patrons. The staff is well trained and attentive. The staff at the open service area at rear of the establishment gave friendly welcoming greetings upon our arrival and bid us good night upon our departure. So Nice in this era of social retatded persons who have become unable to interact appropriately. The restaurant itself is a class act, as are the employees and the kitchen shows its talent with every dish. I have patronized Jonathans many times over the years I think that this is my first review of this place. THERE IS S REASON THEY HAVE BEEN HERE SO MANY YEARS. They know all about service, quality and cleanliness.
I love Jonathans! The staff is great, the Angus beef is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection (get the peppercorn sauce). The happy hour oysters.....I cant say enough about how good they are!
About as close to perfection as anything can come.....Beautiful place, great service from entry to exit; and the food!!! The food was absolutely incredible!I enthusiastically recommend Jonathans. Pretty much worth the trip from anywhere, I figure.Thanks Erika and everyone for helping make our 2nd anniversary so special!

Absolutely the best steak Ive had on Long island in a long time.thank goodness we got put in the back though where it is not as loud as near the bar scene They need a larger restaurant

Fibrous tuna, grade B steak, and everything over-salted. A popular and long-lived Huntington staple. But the bristling, rude staff and endless dog paintings have both become an annoyance. Better choices exist.
Food was spectacular and Margaret at the bar was awesome.

2022-04-16Waiters is super nice, there kids so I respect the hustle and grind, the restaurant setup is cool. But the food was a$$. Honestly I’m not Italian but I lived in Queens and compare to the Italian restaurant there to this restaurant is nothing. So I can basically can tell what is good food or not.Very limited menu which I was skeptical about that idea. Seriously this place can do better. If they can add more dishes. And try to stick with classical stuff.But then again these two stores goes directly to the waiter and the vibe of the restaurant.

2022-07-11Weve been coming here for decades and it keeps getting better. Wonderful food, wine and service. Their daily specials are consistently good as well. Love their artichoke appetizer, salmon or duck entrees, and flourless chocolate cake.

2021-07-24Truly amazing! Service was absolutely fantastic - everyone was smiling and friendly and helpful and thoughtful! The food was perfect! We got the three appetizer specials - scallops were divine, oysters were great and the mignonette and cocktail sauce were remarkable as well. The meat and cheese platter was fresh and piled high. For entrees, we got the freshest fish! The branzino was lovely - just the right amount of the delicious sauce! Lastly, the lava cake with coffee ice cream was scrumptious! The ice cream has the most amazing coffee flavor. Thanks team Jonathan’s!!!!

2020-12-28My husband wanted Jonathans double pork chop for his birthday dinner. We do not yet eat indoors at restaurants, but we have been doing takeout for a long time now, to support favorite eateries. We had not attempted taking out a fancy dinner, tho, hoped that entrees and Burrata appetizer would travel well. The chops were massive and perfectly done, as usual. Vegetables/potatoes and glaze needed reheating, as one would expect on such a cold day. The Burrata appetizer was a disappointment, tho. The ball of cheese and 5 slices of tomato in a box didnt look like much even once plated, and the fresh basil was missing entirely. For $15, its not something we will order again. Once we feel safe, we will be back in person for sure.

2021-12-05It all started nicely. The waiter was professional and pleasant. We took a table outside under the heaters with a nice view of the town Christmas tree. After we finished our appetizers the manager came and move the heaters away from us because he had a table coming later next to us when I asked to bring them back he said he had other customers coming later so he needs them on the order table which by the way is empty. Then he moved all the heaters on the outskirt perimeter of the sidewalk instead in the center of dining area… the main course took a while to come but that’s ok we’re not in a rush… I had the mushroom ravioli which was under cooked and watery my date had the scallops which was way too salty. We ordered a second glass of wine and the busboy insisted to teach us how to pore the small amount of leftover wine from the old glass to the new. I said please stop and don’t do that. After 20 - 25 minutes we finished out dinner and before they cleared our plates the manager removed the last heaters to a different table because he said he has people coming… by the time we paid and went on our way no other customers took any of the tables with the heaters. What started as a nice winter dinner around 6pm turn out to be a total disappointment with the attitude and food of the restaurant. They really need to learn some basics and have higher standards.

2021-02-10Went here for my friends birthday. We had a good time and enjoyed the food. I would recommend this resturant to my friends and family and I would go again. I ordered the duck and it was delicious. This place have a great atmosphere and customer service.

2021-12-07Very nice place with outstanding service. My only issue is that the food was hit or miss. Appetizers were good but some of the entrees were colder than needed. Overall I think it was a one off and would go again, but at the prices I should expect excellence or close to it.

2020-01-01Managed to score two seats at the bar on New Years Eve. It was crowded but not crazy crowded. A delicious meal expeditiously served by bartender Jeff.
