I love the friendly professional staff. They are always willing to assist. The go above and beyond the call of duty. The library is bright, clean and well stock. Great movie selection. This library is one of my favorite to visit.
I thought libraries were supposed to be quiet so I came in to study and it was so noisy, I couldnt even think! I even had headphones on. The childrens section should be enclosed. I gave 3 stars only because the place was clean and the staff was friendly.
If you are one of those reasonable people who think of libraries as quiet places to get work done, avoid this library like the PLAGUE. No matter where you go in this library, it is LOUD. There are people talking on their cell phones. There are people laughing until they start sputtering and coughing with what sounds like a severe bout of influenza. There are students getting loudly tutored ALL over the library. Although, someone should really let their parents know that the tutoring is mostly LOUDLY discussing their weekly activities. There are people talking about what movies they will go see. There are toddlers crying as their mothers LOUDLY screech that they will take them home if they dont be quiet, then the mother starts talking louder then her poor kid was screaming. And if somehow you do find a moment of silence, an elderly lady might feel strangely compelled to stand right behind your desk, and read a book by your shoulder while simultaneously listening to her cell phone ring, clearing her throat in a repeated and disgusting fashion, and farting. Right next to your head. I gave this library two chances. On both occasions I experienced a collection of the above. Needless to say I will try to find somewhere else to do ACTUAL work. I could always bring headphones, but doesnt that defeat the purpose? And its not always ideal to listen to music blaring while working. Hence the need for LIBRARIES. So heres a tip for Kenmore library. I understand that this is a busy library. You should really cordon off a section in the library for people who need quiet, and discourage talking on cell phones in general. Also, there should be a separate room or section for all of the kids who need tutoring, for people who cant be bothered not to talk on their phones, etc. Since you dont seem to be aware, a library is not intended for extended talking. Throw a few computers in the loud area too for all of the obnoxious people getting their daily internet fix, watching internet videos, etc. LOUDLY.
I really like this library, it’s great for little kids to play while parents catch a break or do work or immerse their kids with knowledge! I like doing my hw here, but I do wish it was somewhat quieter, the only people really enforcing the quiet rule are once in a while parents and the people really trying to work
Its a nice public library! Its clean and they have good customer service. I have never been given me a reason to dislike it.

I LOVE going in here to use the bathrooms.I must have read at least 389 books while going #2. Excellent toilet paper supplier and they have very skin sensitive soap.

Dirty and loud. If you need to type up something quick you will be fine. If you need to do some quiet studying then keep driving!
Its a small library, but its a nice little place to get your reading done. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, they cater to all your book needs.

2022-04-12Took the littles here for their first trip ever, outside of their school library. Its probably the first time Ive been in the Kenmore Public Library since I was in my twenties.Everything was so well organized, and the amount of topics for kids was so amazing and extremely easy to find! This place used to be confusing!!I was impressed with the seating area for the kids, and the computers that were set up especially for the children. Best part of that was it was on the opposite end of the library from where the adults computers were, so us grown-ups can concentrate on what we need to. Card are free, no late fees, just take care of what you take out...you break it, you buy it!

2022-04-13Found this little gem not far from our home. Overall, a really great library and you cant complain but the library system as a whole. If they dont have the book youre looking for, you can put it on hold and have it delivered to the location that works best for you.Staff is really wonderful as well. My kids are constantly looking for new things to read and the librarians are very patient and helpful in making sure that all of them find what theyre looking for.Only complaints are that 1) there is very little parking and 2) the computers in the kids area are extremely outdated and need to be replaced ... also wished the kids computers had more educational games on them including in the young adult section as well.

2022-05-16Library has small parking lot and fills up quickly, but there is street parking. Nice and clean, good selection of books, friendly staff, plenty of computers for people to work on, and now there are no late fees (only if there is damage).

2021-12-04One of the smaller community libraries, but has everything you would want. The staff is always helpful and available. Has nice childrens section as well as area for adults, area to study, computers and everything you expect from a library. Also has a lot of other activities that happen during the week and at other times, need to check the schedule to see what is going on at any particular point.

2019-09-07Have been going here for 4 years and have had 0 problems. My kid loves getting books and classic DVDs I just appreciate it for being in the neighborhood! I notice lots of people saying it is loud or that they notice a lot of noise in general so i know I Will try to be more courteous it really is a decent PUBLIC library!

2019-01-02GREAT resources for children and adults. The childrens section has a wide array of books in both nonfiction and fiction, as well as board books for little ones. Small kitchen play area and toddler-friendly sitting area. For adults that need to study and work, there is plenty of room on the opposite side of the library for quiet study. Clean bathroom that is locked (ask staff). Great for families. Plenty of educational resources for teachers, homeschoolers, and bilingual education. Friendly staff! Would give more stars if possible.

2020-09-28Thank you to the AMAZING people at the Kenmore Library. Im that mom who is always returning items later and often the mom who shows up 20 minutes before closing. Im always treated so nice. They are always ready to help. Even minutes before closing. Did I mention. HOW KIND THEY ARE ?THANK YOUSHEILA PHILLIPSCRAZY LOOKING LADY WITH PAINT ALL OVER HER CLOTHES.

2020-01-26Clean, quiet, and accessible. I like coming here to study and to get work done. Tons of childrens books and books for all ages. I like the movie options as well. Wonderful small community library.

2016-12-03We LOVE this library. Compared to other neighborhood libraries in the area, this one is BIG. It is not a fancy, modern library but those are unnecessary features when it comes to looking for quality library services! They have a great selection of books, audio books and childrens section with tiny desks and computers just for them. Having a separate section for older kids is also really nice. There are several big tables available so you can spread out. Quite a few computers if you need to get online and the staff is VERY helpful! They have plenty of events, a section of free books and many books for sale on the cheap. It has become our favorite library!!
