Good vibe especially with the live music. Theres a playground for the kiddos while waiting for the food. Which is super helpful especially during busy times and the line is long to get food.We had the fish sandwich and chicken fingers. Fish tasted fresh. Chicken fingers were not dried out (if picky eater likes them Im happy) and food was served nice and hot.Just a little advise: get all the food and drinks you think your table can finish because if you want a 2nd helping of beer for example you will need to stand in the back of the line again. No line cutting allowed lol. Also if you can have one family member wait in line for food and another sit at a table. Tables are first come first serve and it gets busy around 4ish and after.
I went there a few weeks ago to get a bloody mary and found the bartender and a counter girl to be very rude. I was watching the bartender make the drink because I was standing at the counter and there really wasnt much else to look at. The bartender made a comment, loud enough for me to hear, that I was watching her. Then she repositioned herself with her back to me blocking the drink and giggling with the counter girl. Very unprofessional and immature. I dont know why but i even gave her a tip. I should have given her a piece of mind but im not rude like her.. I will not go back there anytime soon for a drink.
Everyone from the staff to patrons, were friendly and courteous. The food was delicious and affordable. I’m looking forward to returning before the season ends. The relaxed atmosphere along with “Solo Joe’s”, one man music band, played great music, and he takes requests 👍🏼👏🏻‼️
This place is a little gem on the Great South Bay. Friendly people, nice menu, great atmosphere, waterfront views and live acoustic music. It is one of my favorite venues to play music with the Suburban Brothers Band. It’s a comfortable family friendly restaurant. Always a fun and relaxing place to be.
The location is great the food was spendy and only OK. My medium burger came to me raw. The server dropped my fork and promised to get another, so I asked for some salt also. I never saw her again. I didnt leave a tip. I wanted to leave a penny, so she would know or realise that I was unhappy & perhaps remember that she forgot about me.
$10 to park if youre a non resident. The lot is not that big so get here early. Same with the sand; this is a SMALL town beach so the space gets filled up quickly. The beach is a little rocky but once you wade out a couple yards the sand smoothes out a lot. Life guards were very observant and there were a lot of them when I went. The bar and grill are expensive. I highly suggest bringing your own food/drinks. All in all, not bad for the $10 parking fee. Especially compared to the insane traffic and hassle of Robert Moses or Jones Beach.
Very nice place however prices are ricdiclios lobster roll very very expensive could have gone to a four star restaurant. Definitely not worth the money lobster wasnt even that great After reviewing the owners response how sad when you have a business you should be able to deal with reviews and defend your own business, that said the owners reply to my review was that they checked other reviews written by me and made a justification in my review that because I gave taco Bell and McDonalds five stars they put me down for im assuming they put themselves in the same category as a fast food restaurant. I review places based on that individual place. The review I left on this place obviously not a fast food restaurant so dont quite understand the owners comparison . Instead of at worst case saying we always try to do our best sorry for your experience ,no the owner discounted my review and was rude in saying because I gave two fast food restaurant five stars my review had no merit. Obviously you cant handle being criticized how sad!! You should try and humble yourself a bit.
When coming here please make sure that the inspection on your vehicle is up to date. because a few times a day park ranger will show up and check all the cars and start passing tickets out while people are eating or at the beach. Also it does not say drones are not allowed so if you drive in and tell them you just want to fly the drone they will let you in for free, then call the cops on you so park police can come with a ticket......

2022-04-25Cool little dining spot at Islip town beach right by The Great South Bay. Decent food menu with simple sandwiches and that type of fare. Decent beer selection here with a couple craft options. Live music sometimes as well. Playground and beach for the kids to keep busy.

2020-09-19Great hidden spot right on the beach. Perfect place to grab a breakfast sandwich or omelet to enjoy by the water. Or stay for lunch and try the baked crab while enjoyed a beer.

2019-06-24[I am re-writing this review because my editing skills are sub-par when falling asleep with my finger hitting the delete button. Hence, the entire review was lost, but not all of the pictures.]There is live music here on Thursday nights except on those days when the musicians are not here. The food has greatly improved with more healthy options added to the fried foods and grilled hamburgers. The deck is groomed with palm trees and shade umbrellas at the tables. From where you are seated, looking across the bay, you see Fire Island, and the Robert Moses Causeway bridge.A wind barrier protects you at the west end of the deck when Mother Nature is trying to get your attention at this more enclosed (on three sides) seating area with tables and chairs. The beach is considerably smaller than it once once due to our last hurricane. Swimming inside the ropes while the child lifeguards are on duty is an extreme bore because the water is about waist to shoulder high for adults. Parents, watch your children and do not rely solely on the young lifeguards to protect your kids. The real attraction is sitting in the gazebo feeling bored but trying to look excited...or cool (which is very hard to pull off if you are sixty). Forget your appearance, wife with kids, and sand in your face (momentarily), and go for a feeling of euphoria with the restaurants tropical intoxications on the rocks. Ah, thats better. Cool. Water beading in little droplets on the outside of the cup. Wife comes by stating she and the kids are ready to go home now. You dont hear her because you have had five tropical thingys within ninety minutes and you think someone stole your ears. Oh waitwess! Yeth hi. Please keep deese twopical thingys coming. Thank you berry much!Yeah, create your own paradise on a budget. You dont need to go to the real Key West where the dress code is a skimpy Speedo.Sunset is a pleasant pit stop when cycling long-distance and you divert south to the waters edge. The atmosphere is quite relaxing and well worth the trip.

2018-08-19We really enjoyed ourselves! The atmosphere was peaceful and of course the day we were there the Sun was shining so you almost got the feeling you were somewhere out in the Caribbean. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding!

2019-07-21Live music, beautiful sunsets, great seafood, great drinks...need I say more? The owner Sal walks around during the weekends and ensures food and ambiance is to everyone’s satisfaction. He recommended the baked crabs which we loved over French fries. He recommended the shrimp and spinach pizza he hand makes. Highly recommend everyone check this place out at least once. A hidden gem in islip. Coconut shrimp was to die for! Frozen drinks were refreshing and flavorful. See you soon sal!

2021-08-25Went there for the first time today and I am impressed. Me and my family loved it. Very clean and family friendly. Life guard on site and it even has a restaurant, clean bathrooms, showers, grills, areas to sit. I just loved it and I will be going there more often.
