Great service.. the waffle cones are so good I could eat them without ice cream...however the ice cream is all that! Just try it.
AVOID THEIR PISTACHIO! First time there is my last time there. I ordered a small pistachio which cost 3.75. It is much more expensive than Haagen Dazs consider the portion. The moment I saw the light bluish green color I knew it is not gonna be good. The flovar is very very artificial, closer to toothpaste than to the nut. No actual pistachio pieces in there neither. After my friend took a tiny scoop as well, we both agreed to send it to the trash can right outside of the store where it belongs.
Very good ice cream & ice cream treats. Friendly staff. Only downside is that their prices are very high.

I went because it had been my sons favorite place for ice cream and now I know why. The ice cream is excellent and they have the largest size sundae I have ever seen offered. Its called the Grand Pappy and it was worth it. Definitely worth the trip.
We are soft serve addicts! Although we only had cones, the ice cream was vanillary and had the texture of velvet...smoothe and creammy. For that Kurver gets a 5!
Dont understand whats all the hubbub about this place. I ordered a Sweet&Salty specialty sundae. The whipped cream on top tasted chalky; the caramel and hot fudge toppings were at best average, and the chocolate soft serve base had hardly any taste of all. Ive had far better everything at any roadside ice cream place.The order taker/server was very pleasant, and the parking lot was easy to get in and out of.
Ive been coming here since I was a kid. The icecream is always good with great flavors. Usually busy, but they work quickly to get everyone served. Theres multiple picnic tables and benches for seating.
Best soft serve in the area. You have to reach Lake George for anything better. Rotating flavors keep it fresh, and while always busy, the staff keeps things moving.

The ice cream was pretty good but the line was across the parking lot. It was kind of crazy considering there is still a pandemic going on and everyone is like a foot away from each other lined up for about 15-20 min at a time.
Ordered 2 sundaes. 2 separate servers. One was perfect, one was not. Miscommunication that was not corrected. Never had an issue before. We will go back because it is normally great.
Thickest, creamiest ice cream in capital region. Taste like custard! It’s heavenly, I won’t get ice cream anywhere else. The whip cream tastes like whipped frosting. There is no better!!!😍
I was in Albany/Colonie on Friday. I stopped & got a medium soft vanilla/chocolate twist cone. It was a good size for a medium. And while I didnt need it, I did enjoy it.🙂

Some of the ice cream tastes great, but sometimes it tastes soapy and like chemicals like when they clean the machines they didnt rinse the soap thoroughly enough.
The service is very quick and staff are very friendly. We order ice cream cakes from here often as they always are very good. They require 3 days advance notice for ice cream cakes with fudge in the middle. Also have had their hot dogs and they were very good.
The service was fast, ice cream decently priced and good portions. However, their soft serve ice cream is NOT GOOD. It tasted and had the texture of whipped cream. It was not overly flavorful. I felt like it was bland whipped cream and a waste of calories. Go to the Snowman instead.

The ice cream is delicious and creamy. They have been in business for a good long time but customer service has changed considerably. I remember always receiving excellent customer service back in the days. I hate when that part fades because it seems like such a lost art. The product itself remains true to its original goodness.
Wow! Really great soft serve ice cream. Almost like frozen custard. Line moves fast and worth it. They make terrific sundaes and shakes. They have hard ice cream too but why?
Great ice cream and lots of toppings to choose from! Try the super bucket size portion.... it’s enough for the family for sure. My favorite combination is the vanilla sunday with hot fudge and extra peanut butter sauce! make sure you get the whip cream and a few extra cherries on top! Enjoy !!!

This is one of my favorite places to go for ice cream. I always seem to get the same server each time I go there, and she’s really cool and friendly. I highly recommend this place and it’s probably my top three favorite ice cream spots here in town.
My first time there and they had no hard ice cream and the woman was not very friendly. My husband wanted strawberry and she told him I already told you we dont have it. (They have it in soft serve also) He said Id like it soft please and she says OUT. Ok bye! Off to scoups we went

Good ice cream and frozen yogurt. Prices are decent. We didnt like that they closed early at 9:30pm on a Friday night. There are a few picnic tables to sit at. The parking lot is shared with other businesses and can get crowded quickly.

Their ice cream is delicious. We tried a brownie sundae once but was not very pleased. Overwhelming amount of ice cream and no brownie or other sundae related items. All in all, great ice cream location. Would recommend and will be back for the orange creamsicle

Typical soft-serve joint positioned on a busy thoroughfare. Specialty flavors change daily. Nothing particularly sets it apart from any other seasonal ice cream shack in the area. If youve experienced the frozen custard delights of Western NY and beyond, this wont measure up.

My son has a peanut allergy and although there are signs making costomers aware that the shop has peanuts but the staff was wonderful and assured me that peanut was NEVER run through the vanilla soft serve machine and they washed their hands and the nozzle!!! It was incredible, never have we received such accommodation. Incredible.
Kurver Kreme has a great atmosphere and great choices. Delicious hot fudge brownie Sunday and shakes, also hot food. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a good ice cream place. Perfect for a hot summer night and centrally located near Colonie center right off of fuller rd.

Very unhappy with my birthday cake. I wish there was more ice cream in my ice cream cake. It had mostly chocolate crunch in the middle like an inch and a half thick rather than actual ice cream and barely any peanut butter in the middle that I specially ordered. My first time trying their ice cream cake and very dissatisfied.

Try the shake float! It is incredibly good! Kurver also carries a daily rotating flavor of soft sherbet.This is an Albany institution. The place is clean, service is quick, prices are reasonable. You will love it.

Ok ice cream but nothing to write home about. Its a little over costed and if you want one of the special sundaes you cant get a small. They also make a donut ice cream sandwich which sounds awesome but for some reason its not a flagship item that is always available and its only available at very limited times thoughout the season.
One my faves, but I had a strawberry shortcake Sunday on Saturday that was not prepared properly. Not much cake or ice cream, but tons of whip cream. I ran out of ice cream and VDD ended Up with a cup of warm whipped cream...
Decent soft serve, plenty of flavor options and fairly competent serving staff. We were through the line and had our soft serve within a couple minutes of arriving, even on a fairly busy day.

Been getting the twist on a cone for years. Today it was different: Not light and creamy like it usually is. Heavy and icy cold which is not how it usually is. Hopefully you revert back to the way you usually make it. Today tasted like all the other soft serves in the area but this usually isnt the case.
Its pretty much an institution at this point. Toppings are plentiful, ice cream flavors are always satisfying.
An Albany institution; everybody in the city goes here a few times (or more) each summer, and youll usually spot someone you know. The raves are well warranted; this is easily the best soft serve in the entire Capital Region. Ive heard good things about OTHER places, only to find out they serve bad vanilla with one of 50 different flavored syrups squeezed in. Not at Kurver; this is the real deal with real flavors... very creamy, with lots of butter fat. Delicious!BTW, theyre not cash only anymore; they take cards.
Ive been going to Kurver ever since I was a little boy. You can not find a better, local ice cream parlor in the Albany area. My suggestion would be either the hot fudge sundae or a soft serve twist.

Fresh made ice cream on the site. They change up their flavors every week. Plenty of places to sit or you could hang in your car. Minimum 5$ purchase to use a CC.
Way too expensive, a regular size sundae was almost $9. The chocolate mint brownie sundae we got wasnt even minty and the brownie was like crumbs. So disappointed in this place now. Growing up 30-40 years ago it was THE place to go.
Absolute best soft ice cream/custard in the Albany area. The only drawback is that they are closing for the season very soon.

Nobody does soft serve like kurver. Ive been to all other, and they are absolutely clueless. I will say though the owners are really taking advantage of their proprietary recipe that apparently nobody else can even come close to replicating. This place sees absolutely no reason to improve in terms of appearance, adding new products, or anything. Been literally the same for decades.

BUT the first time I went to Kruvers this season you stoped my order while I was standing out in the rain to take care of a regular .... then today when my daughter ordered a strawberry dole whip .... instead of saying oh I am sorry we don’t have that flavor this week .... you said NOPE we don’t have that flavors change weekly we have mango ..... Went to get their so called cotton candy sherbet and when I got there they gave me this all pink thing and said it was cotton candy well it was not it tasted like strawberry that’s it I was very disappointed won’t be getting that again

2022-04-25There is usually always a long intimating looking line. But they always bang it out quick, when it comes to taking orders and getting them out! So its well worth the little bit of anticipation for the best ice cream around. I got mint and chocolate soft serve twist with cookie crumble.

2022-04-30My brother friend and I stopped here recently and all got vanilla soft serve and were very disappointed. By far the worst soft serve I’ve ever had. We all agreed that it tasted and felt more like whipped cream than soft serve and had barely any vanilla flavor. I hope to god their other flavors don’t taste like that one. Or at least sell hard ice cream. Please trust everyone saying it tastes like whipped cream this is no joke

2022-06-06This use to be a great place.We went tonight and have to say we were so disappointed.Jane ordered the strawberry vanilla and she said she could nottaste the strawberry and the vanilla had no taste.I had the vanilla chocolate swirl and have to say it was terrible.I could not taste the difference between the vanilla andchocolate.Very poor flavor.The price we paid sure did not reflect the quality of ice creamwe purchased.Kurver just loss two 50 plus years of going to Kurvers

2022-06-12Frozen take home full of ice crystals meaning less cream and quality. A large overpriced waffle cone was equivalent to 2 McDonald’s small cones. The waffle cone had little ice cream in it The server worked hard to swirl the ice cream spiral in 1/3 of the cone opening. It was ridiculous. We pushed the ice cream down into the waffle cone and it was 2.5 inches to 3 inches from the top. What a cheap unprofessional overpriced ice cream place. The ice cream was not good. I am assuming cream is expensive so they are cheapening their recipes and skimping on sizes. bad ice cream, poor service, overprised portions.

2022-07-02Excellent soft serve so creamy. I had a chocolate vanilla swirl. The chocolate was well balanced with the vanilla and had a great flavor without overwhelming the vanilla.

2021-06-08Went here on a rainy day Memorial Day weekend. I hadn’t been in years so I wasn’t sure what to order so we ended up going with classic vanilla yogurt soft serve & it was delish. The server seemed slightly annoyed but was pretty patient. Great pit stop for a busy day of running around.
