This school looks amazing!! first of all, it is huge (has about 8 floors) and pretty mesmerizing. not to mention their amazing arts programs for art, drama, instrument, chorus, dance and stage management. my favorite thing about this school is that it’s an arts school that also has good academics and many AP courses, which makes it stand out and have its great reputation. waiting to find out if i got in...
The little theater is gorgeous for a community college. The seats are nice and clean, and in good condition!The ushers are friendly, too.My only complaint is that the tickets could use slightly better management. My will call ticket couldnt be found at the booth. Boo. But it worked out in the end, they gave me another one without much of a hitch!
I can see myself using this space for my creative designs. We attended the open house.
Great performances and shows, only 3 stars due to some higher-up staff (not the student workers) who seem to be rude more than necessary. Not only in my personal experience, but Ive been around to see it be done to others as well. Interpersonal dynamic skills could probably be worked on a bit.
This school is definitely one of the better ones when it comes to service and hospitality. They have very good security and I always feel secure coming into this place. Visiting the theater is confidently a good experience. The theater is done in a proper manner. And of course the performances very good.
This is the school in using to transfer to a 4 year college. It is very crean and the professors are great. There is even an accelerated program for high school students. I just wish the admissions was a tiny bit more organized. Like 👌 much.
The financial aid people are absolutely rude, to everyone , the parents and students that basically pay tuition and therefore thier paychecks. They hate answering and explaining questions. Absolutely horrible. The students are frustrated and they are mistakes constantly made. Other then that the building itself is beautiful.but honestly the majority of the staff is unhelpful.
Lovely theatre within easy walk from train station. Seats are numbered in 2s so be careful when booking. Centre aisle seats give excellent view no matter where you sit. Staff professional.Small coffee shop in building closes early but vending machines everywhere for snacks.
LaGuardia Community college has been a life changing experience for me. Professors, faculty and tutors have been extremely helpful with my success as a student. I believe this college is underrated and it does not receive the credit that it deserves. I am always proud to say that I am a LaGuardia student because this place has helped me lay the foundation for a better future. Thank you LaGuardia for granting many students like myself a brand new start.
The staff can sometimes lack knowledge. I would reqeust they continuously train those in the financial aid department. Some of the advisors have a high and mighty attitude which can unappealing. Overall there are some helpful staff. The food is usually good. I would recommend to alwayd stay informed and on top of the staff. Do your classes and financial beforehand.
Zero stars if possible! The teachers that Ive had during my few weeks of attending were absolutely disrespectful. Instead of helping students who need help, they have belittled them in front of the whole class. Being a student so passionate about their writing only to be told youve been doing it wrong in creative writing makes no sense.
Amazing learning experience.
So far so good, very helpful faculty they really do care. If you are not ready to put in that work dont waste your time. You wont get handed good grades with no work.
LaGuardia Community College is good, you have good and some not so good professors. One of my favorite things is that is not as expensive as other colleges and is up to you the way you learn. You make your own experience and remember a good student will always be a good student no matter where it is.
Held one event here and was apart of a few events, it is very friendly, very helpful environment... they hold many job fairs here as well. Great for networking and promoting , great school to attend as well
The library was renovated. And I would recommend visiting to check out the collection. The staff is especially helpful and the students are reserved and kind. Overall I would say for a two year school they are doing the students justice.
Awesome College which I really like
I went here for the first time a family friend had a Book Reading on The Children of the Blue Mountainits a Folklore but it was so enchanting and captivating you could get lost in this reading.I say once more Congratulation to Jermaine Rowe👏👏👏 he did a fantastic job.And to the cast well done, the show could not be what it was without you.Looking forward for the reading .
I came to LaGuardia from SUNY Buffalo State College after discovering the photography department while on a tour of the school. I instantly fell in love with the many labs open to students, large darkroom, digital printing lab and the many resources open to students going on every week. While attending I never felt like I could not approach my professor because they provided a calm learning environment and always made time to answer any question. In the future I hope to return on another tour with my own children.
Air conditioned and the education there is amazing. Teachers are great at helping you with your needs and staffs are great for giving you directions to class if you need help.
LaGuardia is not only performing center but a collage also. This is the sci lab

I had the worst experience in this college. Neither the administrative staff nor the academic staff is even slightly helpful. They are not concerned weather you pass, fail or even attend the class. They do not want to help you in any shape or form. The campus is the worst of all the campuses I have seen. The computers in the library are always full you will never be able to get a computer unless you are willing to wait for 25 to 45 min. I went there. Laduardia changed my life. Professors helped me tremendously with my transfer application. I ended up transferring to Johns Hopkins University, my dream school. Many of my friends transferred to selective universities like Columbia, NYU, Smith, Amherst, Brown, Georgetown...
Bard is a great institution of learning. Student conference day went well. Very Clean environment & great teachers.
This College truly cares about their students. I was a student and currently have a mentoring position on campus. They offer many resources to support student academic success.
I dont go here as a school yet. However the interior looks great. Its clean and the cafeteria could be bit overpriced but you can manage

Great college. Fair grades/work and some really great professors. They are remodeling the buildings to look even better on the inside. Overall great experiance.
Not hated. I attended in the late 70s. The feel was so different. Now it is over crowed and impersonal. When I attended the atmosphere was warm and open.
Best swimming pool in the city
This place has everything you need on daily basis. Dont worry about foods. They will feed you 24/7. I enjoy being there.

Ive been there a few times. I dont have a problem with them. Maybe because I didnt have to deal with the staff really because I wasnt a student. I was there for personal classes.

I visited for a dance recital that my Sis was having. The staff was courteous. The auditorium was spacious enough to some extent.

Alot of construction going on to improve the main building. However, inside staff were very knowledgeable and friendly to assist. Alot of traffic congestion in the area. (Difficult to park)
Mrs Boyce is the best teacher. Shes helpful, caring, fair and precise as she gives the lessons and test.
Very cheap classes and generous resources. Many parts are under construction but doesnt really effect quality of life as a student.
Alot Id the campus has no connection available and traveling from building to building is made difficult with how busy the cramp streets always are.
I go here, so its an amazing school. The staff here are very helpful, and they dont make you feel like your helpless and dont have a clue oh what and where to go.
Theyre chill.....but give the weird eye to unique individuals who express themselves intellectually and out of the social norms and urban language. Lol....

This Performing Arts Center provides the students with an opportunity to develop thier acting, singing and dancing skills. Its located in Astoria Queens
Clean, wide hallways, well lit, and nice interiors. Courteous security officers. But the bathroom was dirty.

2022-04-17Laguardia we definitely had a ruff start it was overwhelming but once connected to the right advisor thank you 😊 🙏 Angela you are sure to succeed. I remembered I attended classes here as a child I even preformed on stage the No More Wire Hangers piece it instantly to me back to a good place. My Aunt Dawn actually introduced me to this location in my opinion at that time it was home and I knew I would attend. I went through many tragic moments over the years some that would physically keep me from being able to do anything. Many years later, multiple surgeries due to careless minds and 3 kids strong by the grace of God I am able to attend college. Not just any college but the one I spoke to the universe about many ✨️ years ago. I am honored to be here like I know they are honored to have me . Your motto we are adults needs to change when in school any school and grade we a aspiring seedlings 🌱 sprouts that need care from all. Hold are hands and baby us. I appreciate it this is new to me you guys are like are sensa we are the pupils we only succeed based on understanding not being thrown to the wolf pack for dinner because we are of age. This location is great but needs a lot of work at the same time as far as in funds for repairs and to give us struggling students with or with out children. I love the book store however my first thoughts where I cant afford anything in here at all mind you this is after being Accepted in ASAP and finding out I had about $390 fund i can only use at the school book one of my programs alone was $100 before tax I was drenched in sweat knowing that. I was able to get some of my supplies by the grace of God some items where on sale I spent $290 I stopped because I know I still have to get my actual supplies and the rest of my books. I have to really penny pinch and sacrifice because I know I didnt have enough for it all. I felt like I was on the price is right. STARBUCKS STARBUCKS the C building on I love you ladies God bless 🙌 down highly recommend 👌 😊 favorite place and very good vibes but the one in the E building 👷♂️ we definitely got off on the wrong foot but after a very good conversation with Ms. Ella I am very happy with their location as well In conversation with her i realized they need funds in order to successfully accommodate us and them as well with the right investments and ppl who care we can have great food for a decent price. And they wont have to come out of their pay checks we are all struggling. The pool needs a little cleaning and locker room needs shower curtains we are struggling 😫 students I personally have kids are school is in desperate need of funds and I pray 🙏 🤲 it comes I really love this school. 2019-01-13Came here for an love book tour event. There is a pool inside the college. The campus is huge. Security always patrolling the place so i feel somewhat safe until i go to the bathrooms were there are no toilet paper and floor is wet and dirty. Just my luck no janitor or housekeeper in sight so theres that. Street metered parking available. Auditorium is huge. Speakers work well. Seats are comfortable and non squeaky. Pretty cheap to rent as an event venue i would presume. But good for dance recitals and other performing acts.

2018-05-26A very busy college in LIC, theres a lot of diversity and different cultures. The college itself is very clean inside. Notable areas includes a pool, a little theater, a very clean and bright library.

2022-07-12This place is incredibly beautiful. Its so open and is definitely a safe environment for hard working students. My sister even got the honor to celebrate her graduation there! Sure is a spectacular place. 10/10 would definitely recommend :)

2018-09-05Good facilities like swimming, sports for kids. You have to admit your kids, price are reasonable and if you are student in Laguardia your child can use some facilities for free.
