I initially contacted Landwork Contractors, Inc. based on the strength of the extremely positive on-line reviews, to which I now gladly add my own 5-star review. I could not be more pleased with the work that Joe and his crew from Landwork Contractors, Inc. did in turning an unsightly backyard space into a beautiful patio/fire pit area. At the initial consultation, Joe listened attentively to the concept that I had in mind and then presented me with constructive suggestions and options to refine the project design. Then Joe and his crew turned that design concept into a reality exactly as we had hoped. The work was performed with the utmost professionalism and quality, and at a fair and reasonable cost. From my first phone call with Annalisa in the office to the finished product delivered by Joe and his crew, the experience of working with Landwork Contractors, Inc. was fantastic. I look forward to hiring Joe and his crew for future projects.
If you need a landscaping contractor I would strongly recommend Joe and Landwork Contractors. Joe and his crew were exceptional from my initial request for a quote to the completion of the work. It was a pleasure meeting such a great staff and look forward to working with them again in the future.
I have been trying to get an estimate for a new fence for months and then I contacted Landworks Contractors. On my first meeting with Joe Ruggiero I knew he and his team were my men for the job. Joe listened and understood what I needed and the complexities of doing the job correctly according to stipulations of the small town in which I live. Joe, his team and Annalisa, his sister in the office were all a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them!
Joe and his crew are fantastic to work with. I really liked that Joe was not pushy like most contractors. He listened to our goals and knocked it out of the park. He went the extra mile--there were a few unrelated projects on our property that he took care of at no extra cost. This is a great family business. He was able to remove an old retaining wall and replace it in 3 days! He takes care of your existing plats and shrubs, then puts them back upon completion. Very professional and responsive. These are good people.
Landscape Contractors did a beautiful job replacing my front sidewalk with Unilocks. The crew was on time, tidy after each day of work & very polite. Joe, the owner, was very efficient returning phone calls, answering questions, precise & most of all made sure I was comfortable about my decisions before performing any work. Joe showed me various ideas & explored possible options for me, regarding any areas of concern. My expectations were met with 100 percent satisfaction. It was wonderful working with a company of stability & high work ethic. People have complimented about he beautiful transformation of my sidewalk. Other minor repairs were done throughout my yard. Landwork Contractors is an AWESOME company that gets the job done right. We had a drainage issue at my Scarsdale home and they helped us redesign our landscape to be able to handle large rain storms. Not only do they do awesome lawn maintenance but they also installed new pavers in our backyard last spring. They are a family run business and will make sure they treat you like family while getting the job done right! If you live in Westchester or Putnam County I highly suggest getting a quote for all your lawn care or custom masonry needs!
Joe, Annalisa, and the Landwork staff are professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. Landwork has maintained my property all year and it has been a true pleasure. Theyre really dedicated and passionate about making and keeping their customers happy. Highly recommend!
If you are looking for a contractor to provide personalized, unique attention to your property, Landwork Contractors is the only company to call! The guys at Landwork really help to put your visions into a plan and implement that plan into a dream landscape. Landworks crew has been working on my property for years and we always have the greenest lawn on the block!
I usually help my father take care of his property but after some issues and me not being available we got really behind. I was nervous about hiring someone for fall clean up and prep for winter due to my fathers extremely high a standards. Needless to say Landwork Contractors was reccomended and they were incredible. My father is even thinking of hiring them for regular up keep. Even better with this winter they were able to come help clear the driveway for a very reasonable price. Could go on for another 1,000 words but just call them yourselves, you wont be let down.
Joe has been beyond helpful through the process of figuring out the right landscaping for our driveway. His crew is extremely careful and thorough. Would highly recommend!

Landwork Contractors is a great landscaping company! All summer long our grass is green and well kept. Our yard is the envy of our neighbors!
Great experience with this company. they came when they said they would and did what they said they would do. That seems to be a rare thing these days. Very professional crew treated my property well. Going to have them back to build a walkway off of the patio they built for me.Great job guys.

2022-06-13* Landwork Contractors charges a fee to provide a work estimate ($100 just for the estimate). As a customer, if I solicit 5 bids for a project (as I normally do) at $100 per bid, with this model Im spending $400 that is not applied to the work even if the contractor I select applies the $100 estimate fee toward a project. When I work with a realtor Im not charged a fee for each house they show: they make their money off of the sale. This is the cost of doing business. Initial meetings with customers are job interviews and are an opportunity for the customer to evaluate the knowledge and professionalism of the contractor. Customers are giving up their time to meet with you just as you are giving time for them. Charging a fee for the estimate suggests a lack of confidence that customers will choose you to complete their project.* Scheduling with them is quite annoying as you need to go though an answering service to make an appointment and will likely play phone tag a few times (as we did) before you speak with someone who schedules appointments. The schedulers are slow to call back and dont leave their direct number to speak with them if you miss their call. You are required to go though the answering service repeatedly. The answering service should be able to schedule an appointment during your initial call. Bad system/not respectful of customers time.

2020-10-15We had an EXCELLENT experience with Landwork Contractors! They did a wonderful job repairing and re-graveling our driveway and installing new drainage. They were also professional, communicated clearly, and actually completed the project ahead of schedule. I can honestly say, this is the first time Ive ever had that experience with any kind of contractor. I 10/10 would hire them again, and likely will for future projects!

2021-04-12I HIGHLY recommend Landwork Contractors!!!! We recently had our backyard sodded and our front lawn seeded and Joe and his team were quick, professional and the results are AMAZING!!!! We got an honest and fair quote from Joe and once we gave the go ahead, he had us scheduled a week later and the work was done in just a few days. Really amazing. Thanks so much Joe!!!

2020-04-04Landwork Contractors did an amazing job on our patio. Joe was awesome to work with. We enjoyed talking through our options and designing the perfect patio for our space. Joe and his team were punctual, professional, and knowledgeable about the complete project at hand. We were amazed that this project was completed in just three short days considering the quality of workmanship was an A+. 2020-11-27Joe was very communicative and professional. They were able to get a large area fenced in for us in a timely fashion, and there were absolutely no bumps in the road at all. Weve had issues with some contractors in the past, but I highly recommend Landwork Contractors. They were absolutely amazing.

2020-10-30Landwork Contractors has been doing a great job of our fall clean ups for years. So when we decided to replace our old patio, we already had a great working relationship with the crew in that end of their business. Due to the challenges of 2020, we called way late in the season, but Joe gave us his expert opinion on how to proceed, answered all our questions, got us a proposal quickly and began our project a week ahead of schedule. Not only did he beat the cold weather, he assigned extra workers to finalize the grading and seeding in light of the forecast for heavy rains. Of course, above all, we LOVE our new Unilock patio! So not only did the process go smoothly and the patio turn out better than we could have ever anticipated, the crew was extremely experienced, competent, accommodating and, quite simply, a pleasure to work with. A huge thumbs up for the entire job.

2019-10-09We had an excellent experience with Joe, Steve, Annalisa and the rest of the crew from start to finish. We started with a very rough piece of land and they made our vision come true! It was nice to see the computer version of the project before we began and then it actually looked like that after they finished. Landwork Contractors put multiple retaining walls in for us, completed the patio and the fence around our pool and then finished the project with amazing landscaping. They worked well with all the other people involved with the project and we absolutely love the results! I have already and will continue to recommend them to everyone!

2020-08-21Our yard is now usable! We wanted a stone paver Unilock patio installed and also needed grading and reseeding of our backyard. Prefer to hire people recommended by others, but in this case, we used online reviews-so was a bit nervous about the project. Of the several contractors we met with, we felt confident hiring Joe Ruggiero of Landwork Contracting. He patiently discussed options and provided us with estimates based on those options. Joe answered all our many questions, brought stone samples to our house (the Unilock showroom was closed due to COVID19), and even accommodated a last-minute change we wanted to the stone pattern. He and his crew are skilled and knowledgeable professionals who are responsive, do fantastic work (and clean-up), and are a pleasure to work with. We are absolutely thrilled with our new patio and would not hesitate to work with them again on a future project.
