Was trying to find an ice cream shop not far from the Botanical Garden and my search was finding nothing but Carvels.and Baskin Robbins (womp womp). But then my mobile search came across this place, only about four miles away.Glad we made the trip because the gelato was low fat and I never saw flavors like this, including lemon Citron. Delicious!

Caribbean flavors ice cream was fresh and authentic. The mango ice cream tasted like the mangoes were just picked from the tree. A little pricey (1 medium and 1 small cup totaled $12, so its good for a once-in-a-while treat.

Lollipops Ice Cream And Gelato is the perfect place for all ice cream lovers. Ive been a loyal customer here for 2 years and all I could say that they have the best ice creams in the city. The place has a warm and comfortable ambiance and packed with friendly workers who will accommodate you in the nicest way possible. I brought my sister here last night for her birthday and she was given a mini ice cream sandwich for free. I encourage everyone to visit here and youll surely have a great ice cream experience.
Gelato was delicious and I like that they had pricing. The flavors were nice as far as exotic choices. Pricey to me for the amount you get.

I must say Im very impressed with this store, the service and quality. If you have never been treated like a king or queen then you need to go here. The sweet lady here made me whatever I wanted fresh in front of me. She made me feel as we were family. It wasnt about her wanting my money as it was about her wanting to see me satisfied. I have to admit I didnt wish to spend more than a few dollars on a snack but spent more than dinner. Great Nut, Guinness Stout, coconut all was too tasty to just choose one. This place will break your diet but ohhh damn its one of the few places worth every penny.
Very creative flavors! I loved the Baileys, as well as the Trinity (Run Raisin, Egg Nog, and Grapenut). If you get a large you can select two different flavors. Getting the trinity was like ordering 4 flavor for the price of 2!
Loved this place. The flavors are an authentic taste of the Caribbean (Jamaica). A small lovely neighborhood treasure!
Good experience. Was no wait on a Sunday afternoon. They have good flavors, I had Baileys, my daughter had regular strawberry with m&m’s and my boyfriend had Ciroc Pinapple, with strawberry and sprinkles.It was good, fresh. Only wish that had a bit more flavors. All in all, great and locations is 5 minutes from my house so that’s even more better.
If you love ice cream then Lollipops is paradise. All their custom creations are made onsite and cater to the local palate. Some creations are inspired by popular alcohol beverages and favorite Caribbean fruit drinks. Best of all, no high fructose corn syrup is used. You will not be disappointed.
Disappointing service. I remember when this place opened I was so excited. I moved neighborhoods and came back to visit this place. Bc of social distancing, they have a 3 person max limit in the store which is fine. There were 2 parties of two waiting outside before me. We all waited in the hot sun for 15+ minutes bc they had one server who looked like she had never used a scooper in her life. I ended up leaving after 20 mins bc I noticed they didn’t allow tasting, and didn’t want to wait an additional 10 mins for her to scoop ice cream for the mom and son ahead of me. If you come here bring a book and a portable fan for your wait. I won’t be coming back.

I had the Hennessy w coconut flakes, and it was so good! Creamy, and coco nutty (reminded me of a coquito) & you could taste the flavor of henny. It was a decent portion one scoop was enough for me. Good choice for the kids as well, the mango sorbet taste so natural. We loved it. And excellent service, the lady was very kind.
This is the best ice cream shop i have ever been to, not only was the customer service excellent but the ice cream was so delicious. Actually its the best ice cream i have ever tasted. I dont mind traveling from CT to get some good ice cream. Ive been telling all my friends about it. And it really helps that they received an A rating from the health department. Love love love the wide variety of flavors will definitely be back soon.
They make Gelato! Not Ice Cream... lol! Its supposedly made fresh... definitely tasted fresh. Family style mom and pop neighborhood ice cream shop. Family friendly flavors and adult flavors infused with alcohol.
Awesome spot! My toddler loves it. They have a great selection of gelato and they often switch up the flavors-which I love! If classic flavors are your thing - they have that. If you want exotic flavors- they have that too! Sometimes they have creative names for flavors - any questions just ask . The other day I tried “zing zang” - pumpkin cheesecake gelato -loved it. On another visit tried yellow yam gelato - (forgot what they called it ) - loved that too. Other favs are “awesome grapenut” , Hennessy, ciroc pineapple. If you don’t see a flavor you want on display -ASK - most of the time they have it. They do milkshakes/sundaes- love lollipops!
Amazing ice cream and she allows you to taste the icecream before you buy. Lovely place we tasted nearly all of the, we had a handful of taster spoons when we finally chose what one we wanted and she was so patient.
The ice cream is delicious and the flavors are unique! My favorite scoop is the Trinity, and of course you can sample the Caribbean inspired flavors.
Awesome gem in the Bronx. Very charming shop with a stunning variety of flavors from cotton candy and pink on top...to soursop and guiness stout. Out of this world creamy light texture and not overly sweet...just perfect. Thought I would never see some of the more classic Caribbean ice cream flavors outside of the taste the tropics brand. Lollipops has the rest beat for sure!!
Ok hands down the best ice cream shop Ive ever been too.Trust me Ive been to many.The flavors are insane.one star off because shop does not adhere to schedule. U never know if it will be open when u get there & prices are a little on the high side .

2022-06-19Excellent ice cream and really cool design in the store. Nice area too sit outside at too. Service is a bit slow. Interesting flavors, but minimal choices, and about half are alcohol flavored.

2020-08-02The unique ice-cream flavors keep me coming back. From the usual coconut and chocolate, to the more creative Cola Champagne, Hennessy, Ciroc Pineapple and Guinness. The passion fruit sorbet will make your knees weak. Try the guava, soursop or the rum and raisin. Too many options. Not enough time! All home made with distinct flavors. There are several dairy free options, too. YUM! Stop at the ATM, though -- prices are high, but the portions are generous and delicious. OMG, and the tamarind and sorrel...keeps getting better!

2022-03-06I rate this place four stars,amazing gelato but sometimes the quality isn’t the best. there was a long line and only one lady there and took for about 20 minutes to get my ice cream and it was honestly the best I’ve ever tasted,I’ve been trying to go back but THEY. ARE. NEVER. OPEN. I’ve been trying to go back since 2019 when I first went there,the hours say 2-8 pm which sometimes isn’t accurate because I tried to go there in 2021 july at 5pm and they weren’t open,they need more staff but everything else but that is totally amazing.

2019-06-08Family friendly local ice cream spot. Literally perfect. They have so many flavors to chose from, a parking lot area and a cute seating area right outside. The service is a bit slow if its busy but understandable as its only one person working so be patient as its worth it! Ask what flavor is what if it doesnt have a label because I tried one (samples available) and it was super good! A cherry (which Im usually not a fan of) vanilla flavor and also the birthday cake flavor. Definitely returning!!

2018-07-09Went on a sunday, the service was slow because there was only 1 worker. My wait time was over 10 minutes. I didnt like that the toppings werent labelled, it sorta held up the line because you had to ask what was displayed. In the end i had a butter pecan which was smooth and delicious. It also had big chunks of pecan. Would visit again just not on a short staff day.

2017-09-30Very interesting flavors (Bailey’s, Guinness and other liquor inspired flavors) but also excellent traditional flavors. I’m not a big fan of chocolate ice cream in general but theirs is really good. Their pistachio is one of the best I’ve tried in NYC.

2019-09-16Great spot to visit for gelato!! We just happened to drive past & decided to drop in. So glad that we did...it was DELICIOUS!! They have liquor flavored gelato....hmmm....hmmm...hmmm!! The Bronx needed a great spot like this & they definitely fill that void. Will visit them throughout the year to support & hopefully bring more new customers!!
