The staff was very friendly and helpful! Natasha saved our vacation with a last minute reservation! She guided us patiently through the app and explained in detail what to watch out for… overall, our party of 19 had an amazing experience with renting 2 super clean large boats!! We will be renting the boats with Mac’s again when we visit 1000 Islands area next time…
Rented a pontoon boat for a day on the Memorial Weekend 2022.Lots of parking near the rental boats, Our rental was very clean and new. Very much appreciated the customer service, I arrived as they opened, and within minutes, they had me on my way. Convenient fuel dock on the return to their rental location to top up fuel level. Will be renting again. Great way to see the sights along the river.
Well this took some time to write a review, but needed to mention how incredible Macs Boat Rentals was. My family and I decided to do a last minuted vacation up to the 1000 Islands and did not realize it was the week of their pirates week, thus making it a very expensive and very busy week.We really wanted to get a boat for the Saturday we were there but couldnt find any rentals anywhere, due to the big week. I called around hoping to get lucky and asked the businesses to give us a call if anything changed. The only business that was willing to do so was Macs and sure enough they did!We ended up getting Big Red and the staff outfitted us perfectly with amazing Macs Boat Rental t-shirts (Photos coming soon). They gave us an extra hour due to us getting the boat a little later in the morning and were very accommodating and gave us all the information we needed to have a successful trip!I highly recommend Macs Boat Rental and the team there. Thank you all so much for showing our family a great time. Cant wait to come back next year and rent another Bennington!!
I got this boat rental for my bachelorette and I could not have been more happy with the service!! Kenny let us swim whenever we pleased. He was an was amazing host!!! I would 100% request him as A captain if you could. He added to the vibes of the trip. I highly recommend this rental. It was incredibly easy and painless to schedule. 10/10 trip and vibes. I would 100% rent with Mac’s again!
Wonderful experience!! We had a nice boat ride and we’re able to hang out and enjoy the beautiful river! He rents kayaks and tubing tubes as well as lily pads! We tried the lily pad and had so much fun! Highly recommend! Kenny and crew were amazing! And Kenny also has some Airbnb’s!! This is the best way to experience the Thousand Islands!!⚓️ Thank you!
Needed a reliable boat rental on short notice to get on the river. Called and Natasha got right back to me and we were able make it happen. Arrived and they had a 2021 pontoon in great shape with a 90 yamaha. Everything went smooth and we had a great day cruising and going to potters beach. Look forward to using them again. Very helpful staff that made sure our rental was clean before we left for the day. They also helped when the fish finder on the boat malfunctioned. They fixed the issue quickly and gave us free t-shirts for the trouble!
We rented from Macs 7/7/22I am an experienced boater.Natasha was quick with the paperwork and the wife and I were off with lunch packed to explore the Islands. We rented an 18 pontoon and just absolutely enjoyed every minute of our 8hrs on that boat. Our trip to Thousand Islands was on another level of Awesome not possible without Macs Boat rentals. Honest reviewMac and james are superb. He managed to take my entire family (20) people with kids to the castle and showed us 1000 islands. The entire ride and tour was AMAZING. 1000 times worth it!!!!

Wish they would give instructions on driving the boat! GPS broke half way into our time the ladder in the back of boat had only 1 step very hard to get back into boat!People very nice to deal with

Highly recommended!!! Best of the boating experience my family and I have ever had! The staff (Natasha) is extremely friendly; the service was fantastic; the boat was brand new, the price was very reasonable. Cherry on the top, we got some very nice T-shirts when we returned the boat.The pontoon boat is very easy to be maneuver. My six years old son drove it without any problem:)If you have 8-10 people, it is even cheaper than the boat tours. No deposit is required, but need to call in advance as the boats are in high demand.
Just got off the river after having one of the best days ever in a great pontoon. This was by far the best boat that we have rented ever. They were professional and awesome to deal with. We received the boat in excellent condition and returned it the same way. Natasha even commented that she liked my prop.
We had a fabulous experience with Macs Boat Rentals today. The boat was comfortable and clean for our group of 7. Mackenzie was a fantastic guide who filled us in on the area and was a very safe drive. Natasha was great about the logistics of our trip. My wife and I heard about Mac’s boat rentals and decide to try it. I called Macs a few weeks in advance of our wedding anniversary and made arrangements with Kenny to rent a SeaRay boat. We had an awesome day on the water. Natasha was a great help getting us out there on the water and made sure we knew all the safety equipment on the boat.Kenny helped me download a navigation app and tagged some good fishing spots for my husband. He caught 3 bass and we had a beautiful day all in all. Simple process, good folks!Well be back again!
So every thing from start went great the issue arose when i returned the boat. There was a small lip curl i beleive is what i was advised upon return. I was later told it would be about $750 to repair which seem outrageous since they stated they would have to replace the whole panel, since it was something that could be fixed with a rubber mallet. Ended up paying $500..
Natasha was the best ! We were a little nervous about renting a boat bc of our lack of experience but she was so reassuring and helpful we decided to go for it! It turned out to be our best day ever! We couldn’t have pick a better weather and the timing was perfect - no crowds. Enjoyed visiting Singer and Boldt castle. Wished we had more time to visit other islands. Definitely, will come back and rent again from Mac’s.
My husband surprised me on our 25th Anniversary with a boat ride on a pontoon from Mac’s ! It was an absolutely beautiful day! Natasha took great care of us and was as sweet as can be! We were extremely pleased and will definitely use them again for another boat rental! Bonus- we had the great pleasure of seeing the large 209 ft Yacht SCOUT!
Very friendly staff. Very helpful. Absolutely beautiful boats. We rented for a day with our bridal party. Staff assisted one of the ladies as she was on crutches. Very accommodating. Knowledgeable and gave very clear directions on what to look out for. Would absolutely recommend and do this again!

These guys are the best! I’ve rented boats from lake George to Lake Tahoe and these guys were by far the best. They are the most friendly people and are super helpful. It’s a family run setup and I love it. The boats are brand new and it’s there first year and I hope them nothing but good luck. Thousand percent recommend renting from them! Love it!!

We were fortunate to be able to rent a boat last minute. Upon our arrival, Natasha was very nice and informative. The boat itself appeared to be brand new. It was equipped with everything we needed, including life jackets. The boats were very clean and well maintained. Id highly recommend renting from Macs and will be renting from there again soon!

Customers Beware,We had a normal boat rental here for the day and are dealing with a horrible experience that started seemingly normal with a few red flags.Highly advise you to take pictures of the boat before and after to avoid our nightmare. If you want to risk a scam through your liability contract, rent from here. They are charging about $1,000 extra on top of the rental prices. The invoice sent had NO explanation to charges and when trying to call the company they told us to talk with their mechanic and that it wasnt their problem. This was charged to our card BEFORE the mechanic even looked at the boat, that is what he informed us. We were ignored after a $1k charge like it was not going to affect us.Even without the scam, we would have not given 5 stars. They did not have parking, told us to park in a neighbor companies lot and that neighbor company (a real estate office) kicked us out of the lot.Then, they had no real establishment for customers. Charged on a square with a few boats in the water.After returning the boat they immediately began to complain about water on the floor and damage to the haul (WE DID NOT EXCEED 4 rpm and never came within 100 ft of a shore line).Again all red flags we shouldve noticed and we do not have photo evidence of their fraud, shame on us I suppose. This company will bully you.HIGHLY ADVISE customers do not put yourself through the hassle we are going through and find a different boat company or use MWR, we still love boating, and we have rented through other fantastic companies.Good luck

Rented a 19ft sea ray bowrider for the day and had a great time. We fit 4 adults with coolers and had plenty of room to spare. All staff was friendly and helpful I would recommend this place to anyone!!!
A great place to rent kayaks from!! a quick 2 minute walk from downtown and you can put in right in the water. Great prices for full day rentals as well.

Note that if you rent on-line, the return email shows the wrong address; 11 Holland Street. The location is at 69 Anthony St, which is indicated on the website. Staff is friendly.Rented a Bennington 90-HP Pontoon boat. Was advised to use Navionics GPS on iPhone instead of the on-board GPS. Navionics is a good app, but quickly drains the phone battery. Unfortunately, the USB and 12V power supply in the steering console did not work on the boat. Eventually, figured out how to use the Hummingbird on-board GPS and depth finder, which did work well, but was not intuitive for accessing the GPS mode; had to call the rental office for additional instruction. The boat was rented without a left size strut for the canopy. I did not notice this detail at time of pick-up. Instead, it was secured with a thin rope. During a wind gust, the rope snapped causing the canopy to quickly fold up and startling us. We kept the canopy stowed for the rest of rental. In hind sight, should have returned the boat. On the fourth day, the engine started bucking when going faster than 7 mph and a tone alarm sounded. Pulled over to a hotel dock about 10 minutes walking distance from rental office/dock and called in the trouble to the rental office. A new boat was brought to us about 1.5 hours later. It was newer and everything worked! Rental office offered 2 extra hours of rental, but was unable to use this time due to dinner reservations. Rental office indicated that we did not need too refill the gas tank after our use that day in consideration of the trouble.If renting from Macs try to get newest boat and get detailed instructions on using the on-board GPS/Depth finder.Paul King

2021-09-07We called on a Labor Day weekend for a sunset cruise. Took my number in case of a cancellation. Called back with in the hour. Kenny knew the river extremely well, as he grew up on the water. He was friendly and talkative with our crowd, as our family is a little crazy. The pontoon was extremely clean and well maintained. He also took us to a few good fishing spots, we didn’t have much luck though, as the spots were very weedy. Our family will definitely be calling again. Thank you Macs for a wonderful evening.

2021-08-28We rented on 2 different occasions from from Macs this year. Natasha and Kenny are the absolute best. The boats were perfect and made our stay in the Islands the best we have ever had. 2022-06-12Mac’s is the best boat rental company in Alexandria Bay. New boats and very well maintained. Moreover their customer service is the best of any company I have met in a long time, they want you to enjoy yourselves. Very knowledgeable of the St Lawrence river and had recommendations on places to eat, visit, and sight see. I highly recommend if you want to see the 1000 Islands at your pace. I can’t wait to come back and visit, they will be our first stop when we come back, no better way to experience the area than on a boat.Oh and they are really dog friendly, the pups loved the boat and visiting Natasha

2021-07-20Can’t say enough great things about Macs! The staff is incredible and super knowledgeable of the equipment and the area. They are so cool and take the time to set you up with everything you need for the perfect day in Alex Bay. We rented a 20 ft pontoon (highly recommend this!) They helped us download an app to get us everywhere we needed to go. The Pontoon was so awesome, brand new , super clean and easy to drive. You can cruise around Boldt castle and get the most amazing pictures! They have the best selection of boats we saw anywhere in Alex bay. We will absolutely be renting from Macs again! If you are going to Alex Bay, renting a boat from Macs is a must! Ask for Natasha! She’s the best! This was the highlight of our whole trip. Thank you so much!

2022-05-30We rented a 12 person pontoon boat over Memorial Day weekend to celebrate our bachelor/bachelorette weekend and had an amazing experience renting from Mac’s!! They were so nice to work with and really wanted to make our experience the best it could be! The boats were in awesome shape and the location was perfect for exploring the area and you could not beat the price!! They even lent my brother a couple of fishing poles because he had forgot his at home! We will absolutely be renting from them again and recommending them to anyone visiting the area!!

2022-07-18We rented a boat from Macs for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. We had to reschedule due to weather, and Natasha was super sweet and accommodating to make it happen. The boats are in great condition, and they even checked in with us when they heard about a boat sinking nearby to ensure that it wasnt us and that we were safe. Great experience with Macs and highly recommend!
