I traveled far and came to this facility just to SCHEDULE a time to take an exam and was sent to 4 different rooms. Keep in mind it was 4pm and they do not offer sign up online OR over the phone. The one office I needed was on LUNCH at 4PM! I was only met with annoyance and confused faces from the employees. The only people warm and willing to help were the security guards. Do NOT use this facility.
Staff is unprofessional and rude, they give no feedback or explanation they just rush you away and give you a blank look. What’s the point of asking for a HS diploma or equivalency diploma with test scores and a trade school certification with transcript, if their going to make you take a TABE exam. If you don’t pass you can’t get in the program, that’s unfair knowing a lot of people been out of school for years. Nothing is ever free it’s always something that’s inconvenient to get in the way. Then they expect for you to take a 4 month program of reading and math if you didn’t pass the TABE exam just to pass the TABE exam, just for a 6 week certification program, not worth the effort & time. Don’t waste your time. This place is helpless and pointless.
I was met by friendly people, clean floor etc my only argument is that they arrange a test a week after you register, then after you take the placement test you have to wait another week to get your scores and to move forward! Why are they dragging the process since it’s a computerized test and most likely get the results probably that same day .. why are they dragging the process even longer then what it actually is!
Well I just started to school in September but I called on October 4th to let them know that I would not be coming into class because thats what I do the person that answered the main phone was very rude now I dont remember who my advisor is but the way she answer the phone is not acceptable for any establishment specially if you want to have people come in I think they need to change the attitude and be more friendly when you wake up in the morning you do not decide to be mean or rude to someone a kind voice is very approachable and thats just my opinion I like the school overall its just that the personalities and the attitudes of the people that work there not a 10 but work there needs to change
They give absolutely no support to homeschool is my child was home-schooled even went to a very reputable phlebotomy program and passed shes never had a problem before and she had a letter from the superintendent State and shes Beyond compulsory age do to the letters of the law and this program wouldnt accept her not tell us a proper proof to give for homeschool child who wants to just do a CNA program. Not very Cooperative all not looking at the laws of homeschool students that in New York state that the state does not give a high school diploma only a lot of her completion and they could take a look at the students last test scores for proof of whatever but they didnt want to accept that nor did they tell us one of the proof so theyre very very not supportive of homeschooling students I guess you got to have a possible proof that they cant accept any test scores I dont know what other groups they would want but definitely not supportive of homeschooling students.
If you are serious about making a career and if you are able to follow instructions and willing to dedicate your valuable time.. THIS IS THE PLACE.. NO GAMES AND STRAIGHT BUSINESS. AWESOME PLACE TO CONTINUE YOUR EDUCATION AND MAKE A CAREER.. I THANK THEM SO MUCH XOXOX

2022-04-15Great place to get opportunities quick and fast, I did a Phlebotomy course here and EKG. They help you with job-seeking and building resumes. The work load is intense so make sure you take notes, ask questions and study, I had an amazing instructor who broke everything down to the T in very easy understandable ways that till this day I remember a lot of the stuff I learned. If your lucky like me and end up with Mr Ortiz you lucked out then. He is a very good teacher he really cares about his students. He will build up your confidence, he makes learning fun and help you understand the material. I definitely would recommend this place but you gotta put in your work as well.

2020-09-30I read the reviews and thought i would call to find out more information in regards to the college prep program that the site states is offered by MEOC. I was coldly greeted by a rude individual with a serious lack of professional ethics by the name of Jerome claiming he works for the enrollment services. He was very hostile, rude, condescending, and bitter. I cant believe anyone would hire a man with such ghetto and tasteless characteristics especially to greet future candidates its as if this school does not want students, which means no funding or grants and no jobs for them. I can already tell that this school is clearly very unprofessional. Suny Bronx EOC on the other hand is far more professional and up to par. I was just hoping to not have to wait a whole year to attend another program.

2020-02-10The attitudes of the staff members there are deplorable. Waited 2 hours for them to tell me that the class started a week ago; and wouldnt even explain to me how or why THEY gave false information. I came with all the documentation THEY told me I should bring and NOT ONCE did they tell me that the class started already. Their calendar also states a different start date. Tried to meet with Mr. Park, he was rude and matter of factly. Didnt even offer an alternative only an oh well attitude just like the rude advisors. This was my SECOND time trying to enroll with them and its the same BS. Never again!

2021-03-08Very unhappy with the rate of response and lack of communication at this place. Since the people at MEOC are incompetent of doing simple tasks, I have to wait for the next class to start on March 22nd, I was supposed to be finished March 12. Dont expect to have your questions answered in a timely fashion, dont expect to have all your credentials sent in to you on time and dont expect to send 1 email and get your issues resolved because it wont happen. Some of the numbers they give as contacts are disconnected yet they are here to help.

2016-12-19Worst GED experience I ever had to date, very awful & rude staff, exhausting and exaggerated security Measures. The math teachers here are some of the worst, and I’ve done both day and night math class. One of the teachers from the night class lie to me about information I trusted him to help me with, he also shows odd favoritism with some of the students. But by far the worst person I wanted to trust is Miss Brown, her attitude is disgusting and she only treats me this way, I’m afraid I can’t go to her for help as I had small very unhelpful moments with her. And the older guy with an afro who sells the 40$ textbooks, every time I go to return or buy books his attitude is repulsive towards me. I’m a very hard working student, I come every day, I start no fights and listen by the rules, I’m also very claim & quiet in my overall demeanor. The attitude and actions I’m receiving are uncalled for, after taking my per-test I’m not sure if I can last and continue to go. I’m to suggest the other 5 to 3 star reviews are reviewing another school because my experience was beyond toppy tervy

2018-12-10Its okay you do alot of running around and alot of things that you would like to sign up for is a first come first serve basis which I dont like. Other then that the classes are good and small so you can focus better. Some of the staff are not friendly and some are. But as far as programs its worth doing and getting that goal. I would recommend to all who need it and feel lost its worth it . And the best part you get to have a graduation ceremony with cap and gown something that no one else does that you thought you could never get back again after highschool. Go check it out doesnt hurt.
