Loved the place and the spaghetti and meatballs. My girlfriend and I were driving from Wilkes Barre to Rochester and stopped in for dinner and were very happy with the food and the unique atmosphere. She really loved the lighting fixture too!
I have been going there for my Spaghetti and Meatballs since the 1960s, and the best part is they havent changed the recipe since. Least not that I can taste. Why mess with a good thing.Others come and go, Because they think they want bigger and better.Not the Manzaris, they keep it simple, few changes in decore. No changes in menu. Same small pool table, same friendly atmosphere. All thanks to the Manzaris.Great Job.
If you like spaghetti and meatballs, hate to spend a fortune, and want fast service, head to Manzaris! Quaint neighborhood joint where you simply say, Ill have a plate, and they know you mean spaghetti and meatballs. They allow the meatballs to simmer in the sauce to flavor the sauce, and the meatballs are delicious. Same recipe for years and years now, and its yummy! Affordable too! And, Im a cheapskate :-)

I really liked the atmosphere of the place, however my meatball sandwich was more of a tomato soup with two pieces of bread (soggy by the time it got to me) and two decent meatballs, which I did end up eating.
MANZARIS SPAGHETTI is a delicious, tradition in ELMIRA NY. I have enjoyed it for nearly 60 years. A family owned neighborhood tavern, where friends meet and talk, cops stop for dinner, sports on the TV, friendly staff. Just a simple but delightful experience.
An Italian dinner for Italians. Being a great cook myself means I do not pay anyone to feed me substandard pasta. But, I gladly part with my money here.
Always a great time at Manzaris. Its lower key than a lot of the bars in Elmira. Fairly priced drafts, amazing and inexpensive food. If youve never been, I highly recommend you stop by and check it out.

The server was great! The food was pretty good. Just not much to choose from. Spaghetti n meatballs, or meatballs sandwich. Not a sub. Just 2 pieces of bread with 2 meatballs in it and some red sauce. The Spaghetti came 3 ways....red sauce, garlic sauce, or both.

2022-01-02Spaghetti and meatballs with bread or meatball sandwich is the menu. If you order a salad they will bring you spaghetti or a meatball sandwich. Best sauce and super great meatballs. They do it simple and they do it well. Great family owned place! Beer is cold and spaghetti is hot.Tip. Bring a big bowl and they will fill it to the brim as a takeout!

2021-11-21My familys biz...approaching the centennial mark real soon (established in1927 by my grandfather). Over the years Manzaris has morphed into a spaghetti place. Therefore, you must get the spaghetti and meatballs or a hot meatball sandwich - theres not much else to consider LOL!. Be sure to check out The Victoria Room and Gallery located in the main dining room. Like the spaghetti and meatballs its top notch fine art by American artists. While outside check out the recently refurbished Pennsylvania Railroad caboose...a fun addition to the grounds.

2017-03-14We were trying to quickly find a place for lunch and saw this place had amazing reviews so without even looking into them we decided to try it out. The outside and inside doesnt look like much and if the guy behind the bar didnt walk over to us right away we might have walked out.The very friendly gentleman walked over and knew right away we have never been there before and explained they had a limited menu, which consisted of spaghetti and meatballs or a meatball sandwich. We thought what the heck and decided to try the meatball sandwich.Soon after he brings us our order and we were both pleasantly surprised. These sandwiches rocked!!! You have to eat them with a fork and knife because they are covered in an amazing sauce but it was worth it. The 2 sandwiches and two diet sodas came to like $16 dollars, what a steal!!!This is the reason my friends, NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!!!
